The ordering system is quick, step inside and they will take your order and give you a buzzer. Then you can step out to one of the many picnic tables while you wait for your order to be ready. After that you just head back inside for pickup. When our Pancakes arrived they were impressively huge. Definitely enough to share and legitimately some of the best Pancakes I have ever had. The coconut syrup also goes great with the pancakes. Since we got the combo we also got two eggs and sausages. Overall Ted's is a great stop and I would definitely return. Highly Reccommended!

Today, I had the chocolate haupia and it was tasty. The whipped cream on top is decorative and not too heavy, and the haupia is nice, although I do wish it were more coconutty. The service is never particularly pleasant. The workers seem unhappy to be checking people out, at least every time that I go. However, they are quick. I will give them that. Ample seating outside, although there's usually a lot of leftover trash from other people who have eaten there earlier. A good stop if you are craving pie by the slice at a reasonable price.

Got a loaded sweet corn that the wife loved. To put the cherry on top, they have their own lemonade that comes with it that was very tasty and not loaded with sugar. We caught the sun set at the benches located next to the bus. There are multiple food truck around and a market that has ALOT of stuff to look at. I would recommend this place for everyone to visit while on the island. Don't even question it....JUST DO IT!

Unfortunately all the smoked items were sold out for the day, so we had to adjust course and try something else. Hubs went for the Cuban, which comes with fries and a lemonade, MIL went for the pulled pork sandwich which also comes with fries and lemonade, and I had the home made waffle dog and Kahuku corn with the works (garlic butter, parmesean and some spices). The wait time was fairly good for a food truck, and there was dedicated seating right next to the truck as well. Hub's sandwich was huge, and he said it was a little challenging to eat it as stuffing was falling out. MIL's sandwich was a decent amount of pulled pork, and she liked the sauce on the sandwich. We were probably the only locals eating in the area, as most of the patrons to all of the various food trucks looked like tourists. It's something to do when going to the North Shore. I've noticed that the local vendors a bit off the beaten path in Oahu often turn out to be the best spots to try local favorites, so I figured this one had to be a gem. SHAVED ICE: 10/10 SERVICE: 9/10 AMBIANCE: 9/10 SHAVED ICE: 10/10 I don't usually care much for shave ice, but this one felt different. The ice is super soft and fluffy, not like the crunchy, gritty stuff you sometimes get. The flavor was really clean and vibrant and did not taste artificial. I tried the Waiola special, and it was EVERYTHING. Those portions were perfect. I love how they put a scoop of ice cream in the center of the mountain of shaved ice. Each bite was paired nicely with either mochi bites or vanilla ice cream. The menu was massive, ranging from acai bowls, smoothies, shakes, sundaes, etc., with so many yummy selections, and I was so indecisive on what to pick. They do both the classic flavors and some more creative combos. But the Waiola special was perfect. SERVICE: 9/10 The place has a laid-back, aloha feel. We did not experience a wait and were actually the only ones there, which is great as I heard this place can get packed. AMBIANCE: 9/10 The vibe is super relaxed with open-air, shaded seating, and very casual. It's the kind of place you stop at during a North Shore trip just to cool off, soak in the sun, and treat yourself. Parking: Pretty easy, which is a big plus when you're driving around Kahuku. I came in thinking shave ice was "just okay," but Rainbow House changed my mind. Their shave ice is genuinely memorable... light, flavorful, and fun. If you're anywhere near Kahuku or just driving the North Shore, this is absolutely a stop worth making.
