Delicious waffle cone with mango & kaua'i coffee ice creams
Terry C.

Small upscale ice cream & coffee shop offering many ice cream, sorbet and frozen yogurt varieties. The staff is friendly, the interior clean with limited seating inside. There are a few outdoor tables plus plenty of seating in the courtyard.

This is a fun dessert spot at the shops of Wailea. We sampled a bunch of their ice cream flavors (all very good) before going with their winter sundae special. It was like $15, and very big- two of us couldn't finish it. They were open on Christmas Eve and Christmas as well. I'd recommend it!!

Delicious ice-cream! My go to is the Kauai Pie. Sundaes, cookies and other items available. Service was a little disappointing. Could be more friendly and have aloha. Store was busy. Lots of customers coming in. Outdoor area was nice. There was entertainment in the courtyard while we ate our ice cream and sundae. Would come again to enjoy the ice cream if in the area.

I absolutely love Lappert's. It's some of the best ice cream on the planet. Extra creamy and flavorful. I go whenever there is a location near where we are. Be it Hawaii or the Bay Area.

Pint of sorbet

Got a pint of mango. Delicious!! Great place and good flavors. Lot of fruity options.

Delicious ice cream treat located at the shops in Wailea. They also have yummy cookies as well!

Service is so slow. Ice cream is just average. I'd use as a last resort. Go somewhere else!!

Yummy ice cream the kids loved all the flavors! The adults enjoyed frozen espresso drinks!

WHOA this kinda blew me away!!! This place is fabulous. The ice cream flavors are one of a kind and all hawaii related. The employees are kind and helpful. TRY THE CAMPFIRE FLAVOR IF ITS THERE ITS UNREALLLLLLL!!! Location is cutie because you can sit out on the cute chairs after you get your ice cream :)

My husband and I decided to stop by this place for dessert after having lunch elsewhere. There was a small line but it moved very quickly and the three workers helping everyone were quick, attentive, and friendly. They had great flavors and it was hard to choose just 1-2. After tasting two flavors, I decided on the Macadamia Nut and Ooey Gooey Pineapple Cake. Both were great! The macadamia nut was a little plain but I enjoyed it. And the pineapple cake was sweet, but not too sweet. It also had cake chunks in it which were my favorite part.

Best on island and workers are so sweet. Be ready for a wait but it's worth it. My son loves the sprinkles.

It's a cute little stand just past the lobby on the right. easy to access whether you're staying at the resort or just stopping by. The menu is simple and straightforward, offering classic matcha drinks along with a few signature options. We tried the Honey Lavender and the Honey Cinnamon, and both were really good. The Honey Lavender stood out--it had a sweet, floral flavor that blended with the matcha in a way that oddly reminded me of Fruity Pebbles (in a good way!). The Honey Cinnamon was tasty too, though the cinnamon was a bit overpowering and took over most of the drink's flavor. The staff were friendly and helpful with recommendations, which made the experience even better. I'd definitely recommend anyone staying at the resort to give it a try and locals should stop by too if you're in the area and craving a solid matcha.

While I have been to a couple of other Kraken locations before, including the day before, this one was different as it was an actual storefront in a strip mall instead of a food truck. They also sell shave ice here. With it being a storefront, they had a decent amount of seating along with a clear ordering area. For my coffee on this morning I went with a large Surf's Up cold brew, which the menu described as coconut mac nut with a sweet foam topper. Since I had run 17 miles earlier in the day, I was also hungry and their jalapeño cheddar bagel caught my eye, so I ordered one of those as well. It did not take long before I had both my drink and food and was headed back to my car. As soon as I got in, I dug in. When I first opened the bagel it looked a little overdone, but there was no bitterness from the darker parts and it actually ended up being cooked perfectly. As for the coffee, I could not get enough of it. The coconut mac nut cold brew was strong with a bit of earthiness from the mac nut and some sweetness from the coconut. The sweet foam was the real standout though as I loved both the texture and the added sweetness. Paired with the bold coffee, it worked really well and I finished it quickly. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. Both my bagel and coffee were good and I would also be interested in trying their shave ice next time.

In the back, you will find a food court with endless options, whether you grab what is already laid out or order fresh off the menu. I had the California roll twice, and the rice was so soft with a perfect rice-to-filling ratio, easily the best California roll I have ever had. I also tried the BBQ flatbread, which was pretty good. Ordering off the menu was also a great option. I got the fried rice and galbi, which came with sides and were all delicious. One thing my friend could not stop talking about was the poke, which was slightly on the spicier side but fresh, soft, and very tasty. This place has it all, and you really cannot go wrong. It might be a bit more on the expensive side depending on what you get, but it is pretty in line with the rest of Hawaii's pricing. Do yourself a favor and check it out. But nah, good timing. People were finishing up, bussing tables, and bam, maybe 20-30 minutes tops. Not bad at all. While we was waiting, they come out with waffle samples for everyone in line. I mean... who does that? That's how you keep people from getting all hangry. Instant good vibes, the whole line outside was just smiling and waiting patiently. Finally get seated and both the hostess and waitress were super nice--real friendly, no rush, no attitude. In the front they had mushroom soup on the specials board, so we figured we go sample um. I had them bring a cup of soup out to start along with my wife's coffee. Gotta be honest--when I dipped my spoon in, I was already judging. Looked kinda thin, not creamy like other mushroom soups I've had. I was thinking, "Ahh here we go." Took one spoonful and immediately had to humble myself. That soup was money. Like, stop-talking-and-just-eat. My wife tried it and confirmed that this soup was "winnahs" . Deep mushroom flavor with the right amount of seasoning. It also came with a little piece of focaccia toast which I would have really enjoyed but had to take my wife's word for it since she ate um all . Should've ordered the bowl. Rookie mistake. For my main, I went with the original eggs Benedict. Portions were a little on the small side, but with the roasted potatoes, I was good. Didn't leave hungry, didn't need to loosen the belt--perfect middle ground. My wife got the strawberry waffles and yeah... those were legit. She's not a syrup person, so she asked for more whipped cream. The waitress comes back with a little mountain of whipped cream in the little silver ramekin. All in all, solid spot. Friendly people, ono food, and little touches that make you feel taken care of. We will be heading to Cafe Kaila again to try some other stuff like the "chicken and waffles", and next time, I'm not playing around with the soup. Bowl, Garans.
