Gotta say having a Starbucks @ The Marriott was amazing. Now $7 for an Americano is another thing but for the convenience I'd have paid $20 cause I'm on vacation. Staff was amazing and super friendly greeting's each morning and was actually concerned about not burning me with extreme hot cups of coffee as I was handed my drinks. The pros for this location are that it is really the only Starbies along the Wailea Beach stretch of resorts. This means if you are a Starbucks loyalist or addict, you have an opportunity to satisfy yourself with a consistent experience if you are visiting here. The cons for this location are that it is really the only Starbies along the Wailea Beach stretch of resorts. This means you will be held hostage to resort pricing for your consistent experience if you are visiting here. Located in the row of lobby shops at the Marriott Beach Resort, I like that it opens fairly early for the jet-lagged masses and they also run a small remote counter just outside the shop serving plain drip coffee during peak morning rush hours since the inside store lines can be long when busy. But the lines are managed well with several roped stanchions herding you through, a lot like an amusement park line for a popular ride. The small interior is standard Starbucks with cheerful staff but it is busy and loud enough during rush hours that it would not be a place that you would choose to work or socialize unless you enjoy the risk of the masses overhearing your conversation or seeing what you are working on. The real reason I am giving this a mediocre rating is simply because it is so much more expensive than it should be. For reference, a Grande (medium) black coffee at a suburban, fly over Minnesota shop runs $3.20 with tax. That seems to me to be already expensive for a standard cup of coffee. At this Maui location, it will set you back $5.08 all in. I do get that it is in a expensive tourist resort zone, but it really is close to a 60% markup for a simple cup of coffee which seems abusive. However, I guess we are the foolish ones for paying it and they are the smart ones for charging it knowing that people are likely to pay it once they walk in the store. It is nice to have a decent cup of coffee to enjoy the morning while on vacation. I just wish it didn't hit the wallet so hard. read more

We came here every single day because life without caffeine is a sad life, especially on a vacation. Obviously location can't be better because we were in the resort and would get our coffee and sit in the front lawns and just enjoy the morning calm .No matter how early we came there was always a line but it moved fast and full points to the staff for handling everything so efficiently. You can either get it billed to your room or pay on the spot both convenient options . One of the cons for this Starbucks Is that you don't earn stars for your purchase .Since we were getting drinks and food every single morning from here ,I would have loved to get some rewards for my purchases. I had a daily credit and Starbucks was one of the places I could use it so I definitely came here more often than I normal would. Conveniently located at the Wailea Beach Resort you can get your cup of coffee without living the grounds. I tried the pineapple and coconut milk drink served over ice and really enjoyed the tropical flavors. Let me warm you this place gets packed in the mornings so maybe an afternoon visit is better if you want to try something. Unlike most of my reviews, this one is going to be short and sweet. This Starbucks is located at the Wailea Beach Resort so I'm assuming that most of the patrons are resort guests. If you are not a resort guest, there is plenty of parking in the resorts parking garage and then the shop is a hop, skip and a jump from the check-in desk. The resort partners with Starbucks in order to treat the guests to a complimentary tall drink {specialty drinks included}, the pastry of the day as well as a fruit cup. This was a wonderful way to start the morning as the Hubs must start the day with a Chai Latte and I sure do love an Iced Green Tea to get me going! The team is very accommodating - I have a few allergies and they were able to swap out the pastry of the day for any pastry that fit my dietary restrictions. Now, take your breakfast, walk down to the beach and enjoy the gorgeous view! My main reason for this review is the beyond amazing staff! This location is jammed packed in the morning but the team here does not skip a beat and has huge smiles on their faces the entire time. They remember the guests as they come in and have lovely and genuine conversations as they fill the orders. To say that it's service with a smile is a huge understatement - It was so greatly appreciated and so wonderful to see these fabulous ladies each day during our stay! read more

A few things to address here based on some of the reviews, as well as our personal experience. First, for whatever reason, it does not show up on a Yelp search, but it is nicely tucked into the lobby of the Wailea Beach Resort. Second, depending upon your experiences with baristas and other coffee shops, including other Starbucks locations, you will appreciate the feel of this location - the interior seating in a very nice air conditioned room, as well as the option for seating in various areas of the lobby. Third, yes it is busy and yet well staffed so that you get in and out (if that is your choice rather than sitting and relaxing there) far more quickly than any other location. Fourth, the staff. These are resort employees, and it shows. They care. They smile. They engage. The serve. Having been to at least 100 different Starbucks locations, this one tops it off. Bottom Line: Standard Starbucks inside the Wailea Beach Resort accessible via the front promenade. Somewhere I saw the resort advertising that this Starbucks is the only one in Wailea. It seems sad to me with so many local coffee companies in Maui, serving legit Hawaiian coffee that Starbucks is still a thing. Anyway, I had a voucher for a free coffee so I did visit this location. To me, it seemed like a typical Starbucks that I come across on the mainland. There are tables indoors and outdoors but if time allows, I would recommend taking the nearby stairs down past the hotel's pools to the beach path. read more

You're lucky enough to get a real Starbucks actually IN your resort (and not a cart that merely serves Starbucks coffee "proudly") so it's tough to complain. This is a full Starbucks with all of the food and coffee drinks that you would expect. If you want to drink a hot PSL on August 30 on the beach in Maui, you can do that. Since it's the only Starbucks at the resort and within 10 miles, it's also insanely busy. On top of that, Marriott rewards members can get free continental breakfast, so this place is a bit insane. The three mornings we went here, it was a Starbucks quality experience. On the last day (Labor Day) I believe the staff was reduced and it was a bit slower. If you want your coffee instantly, go somewhere else because they are busy. If you get a free breakfast, leave a couple of dollars for a tip and don't whine, these people working are hustling. If you want a cheap cup of coffee, don't go to 1. A Starbucks 2. At a Resort 3. On Maui. I am so grateful this was an option and appreciate the hard work of the people here. read more

The staff is amazing but the breakfast burrito / wrap on the menu has no flavor. Gordon Ramsay would have an aneurism if he tasted this item. While the breakfast burrito looks delicious in the display cabinet, it's a DISGRACE to food! In what dystopian world do we live in where they can can sell this bland burrito for $7?!? Stood in line Sunday am at 5:30 and never got to the front of the line. Even if you want a simple cup of coffee or a "grab and go" from the drink case, your going to have to wait 40 minutes to get it. This location is not an option for the mobile map. read more

Certainly a "real Starbucks store" in that you can get anything off a Starbucks menu. I've never had a problem using my Starbucks card to purchase items. The processing speed at this location using the Starbucks card is slower than most, but not all, mainland stores. Being operated out of a hotel property they will not allow you to redeem your Starbucks earned rewards for complimentary food or drinks. Also expect to pay a premium for your purchase. The inflated prices go along with it being located in Hawaii and the hotel charges associated with the location. I have enjoyed the most wonderful fresh tuna wrap here. They make up a limited number and sell out frequently. In fact I lost out today. The tuna is incredible; blended with crispy salad and a chorus of edible island delights makes this lunch treat one of my absolute favorites anywhere. I appreciate the staff as well as I've always been treated well even though they may be extremely busy, even for a Starbucks location, in the morning with the rush of Hotel guests lining up. Well, this location is located at a resort hotel so of course I expect to be raped with incredibly high pricing for the same old, same old Starbucks stuff. A three day old sandwich goes for $9.50, a small 4 ounce cantaloupe cup with bruised grapes will set you back $3.50. What really helps take this place to the next level is the fact that every morning without fail I waited about 30 minutes for a cup of coffee. read more

My daughters were so happy that there was a Starbucks at the Wailea Marriott. Truly it was 20 seconds from our room. And as a registered guest you get two free coffee coupons to use there. I asked if we could use the to upgrade to a specialty drink and she said yes, we will take $3.50 off each drink. Perfect! Short wait, friendly staff and drinks made to perfection. The girls loved the Grande S'mores Frap with whipped cream. They also had a full supply of pastries, fruit and parfait in the display. There is 15 minute free parking at the Valet Parking gate and about 4 stalls for those who want to drive in and not pay for parking. read more

Bad service, bad drinks, bad food. Only option for espresso at the Marriot so forced to go there. Every day was worse than last. Staff was back chatting to customers, making jokes about customers with co-workers and in general non welcoming and rude. Banana bread was stale, didn't know the formulas for coffee and messed up my coffee. No caramel taste in my caramel macchiato. And they wouldn't honor my free Starbucks rewards drink either. This Starbucks is located in the Marriot Shops. The staff was very friendly and the store was very clean. There are a lot of tables, as well as a couch, and 3 cushy chairs. However, the prices are more expensive. For example, the iced starbucks cup I bought (says "Hawaii" on the side) was $16 instead of the $14.95 printed on the bottom. I even confirmed with the staff that the $16 price was in fact correct. Anyhow, can't beat Starbucks iced coffee! read more

It's a fake Starbucks. It's run by the hotel, not by Starbucks. It's difficult to use your Starbucks card, you can't redeem rewards, and the worst thing about it is that getting a tall mocha and a sandwich will cost you over $10. read more
