It can get busy, and the line was quite long on my last visit, but it moves steadily so the wait usually isn't too bad. It's a standard Starbucks setup with the usual drinks menu, pastries, and hot food, plus souvenir mugs and drink ware if you want something to take home. I gave up my coffee drinking ways, but decided to get a caramel ribbon crunch crème frappuccino. It was ok, but could have used more caramel flavor as it was watered down. Thankfully the wait wasn't too long. The best part here is the seating--there's plenty of space outside where you can sit and take in the ocean view and enjoy the tropical breeze. Absolutely the worst customer service. We ordered a caramel frappe and a mango dragon fruit refresher, which we often get at different Starbucks locations.The drinks came out tasting very watered down and lacking flavor. I very politely asked the barista if she can perhaps add some coffee to my Carmel frappe or something to it because it tastes a bit watered down. Without any response, she rolled her eyes and took my drink. Her coworker then told me that they'll make it over. She then asked her coworker if I wanted whip cream or not. Being that I was right in front of her, I answered and said "no whip please". She did not acknowledge or even look up. She made the drink and placed it on the counter in front of me. I thanked her and again no response or even acknowledged me. Definite attitude problem. Such angry people should not be in customer service. Just horrible customer service. Btw, even after remaking my Carmel frappe, it was still fairly poorly done (a bit better but still way worse than most). read more

The primary reason I stopped going to Starbucks was because they have some stupid drink, that's not even on the menu, that always results in the person taking my order and ruining it. And this place is no accept-ion. On vacation I have little choice. But at home I spent 1500 on an espresso machine and have saved myself thousands over the last few years. everything is slower in hawaii; except this starbucks! in my area(CA), there is usually 4-5 baristas per location.this location had 2 everyday i went, during my 5 day trip. super friendly service, with top tier efficiency, what an amazing team and location! right on the water with beautiful view. the only downsides is there is no order ahead feature and that they close by noon. probably temporary thing, with fires and staffing. im glad they dont over work the fantastic employees already there! best starbucks ever! thank you to the staff for amazing start to my mornings. cant wait to come back again read more

I wanted to give this place 4 stars but the line was crazy long each time I passed this shop. This place has the perfect view of the ocean with plenty of seating to enjoy the view while you sip your coffee or eat your pastry. The line was soooooo long but the order came out perfectly and the staff was friendly. This Starbucks is within walking distance from my hotel at the Marriott down the pathway. So that is nice. But since it's the only one in the area and there are like 4-5 hotels )(at least!!) within a close range, everyone who desires a coffee fix come here and the long wait shows it. The line was 20 deep when I arrived. Several people left the line (so that shortened the wait). But I still had to wait 15 minutes to get my drink and sandwich. Employees were kind and took my order and moved me along. Another annoyance: can't use my app to upload a gift card to my phone. Could I scan my app to pay? Yes. Could I add my gift card? No. Why? Located in the Marriott hotel. There was already a line outside the door at around 8am, but it moved pretty quickly. The staff were friendly and patient considering how busy they were. Our drinks and breakfast sandwiches came out just the way we like them. Bad experience, ordered a breakfast sandwich, the cashier did not tell us how many orders are in front of us when we ordered, after we waited 10 min, and got our other stuff, we found out there are still 8 sandwich orders in front of us, when I told her we can not wait because we have a surf lesson to catch, she became very rude and left us there, and went to help three other customers, and yelled at us 'can you not wait?' I have never been so disappointed in a Starbucks location, and I spend a lot of money back home. I take coffee and food daily to my customers. I visit a large number of different Starbucks and this one by far is the worst customer service I have ever experienced, and this is a vacation destination!!! Everyone had an admitidle, especially the manager. It wasn't just one day because maybe they were having a bad day, it was the whole week. everyday!
