Really glad we were able to visit this spot! I've heard great things about the coffee here. We stopped by on a weekend afternoon to wait out the rain, and it was a lovely environment. It was relatively busy, so there was a nice chatter in the air. The decor of this coffee shop is so cute - the walls are covered with beautiful paintings. There was also an inflatable dinosaur hanging near the entrance. This shop definitely felt like it had personality. The coffee tasted pretty good - I'm admittedly not the biggest coffee person, so I couldn't tell if it tasted any different from other coffee drinks I've had before. This was a pleasant spot to spend an afternoon!

What a cool spot! We were in the area and decided to give this coffee shop a try. They have a great selection of drinks and pastries for sale as well as merch and coffee beans. I got a decaf mocha and a Lilikoi cheese danish! The mocha was pretty good - I'm not a coffee connoisseur so not too sure haha! The Lilikoi cheese danish though was perfect! Lilikoi anything is bomb! Highly recommend that danish! The service was great and the ambiance inside is good too!

Place seems nice, cashier service was pathetic, had bad additude or was hvng bad day. Wasnt very helpful n didnt even care to explain anything. I get im not local but with this kind of service i would rather never cm here or recommennd to anyone. I bought two bags of coffee just to get shit service.. I dont care if ppl hv bad day customer is not responsible. Ive gotten better service out of a porta potti..bcs at least i k w its full of shit!

Some of the better coffee we had on island! I always appreciate a good cold brew and the barista was super nice when we were overwhelmed by choice (large menu, lots of syrup options) and recommended what she thought would go best with my cold brew + bf's latte. Near the airport + Tin Roof -- definitely worth a stop! Cute merchandise and dry goods selection too

Came here twice during our visit to Maui, so it's safe to say we enjoyed their coffee. It wasn't hard to find this place (thank u Google maps, LOL!). There's plenty of parking in the plaza as well. It was crowded each time we went, but the awesome staff do their best to ensure everyone gets their drinks in a timely manner. They have cool decor on their walls, as well as, some merch inside for sale. Bathrooms were super clean too (always plus points!). I went with my "go to" Americano and theirs certainly did not disappoint. Be sure to check them out if you're in the area. It's a great spot for that much needed caffeine boost to start your day! CHEERS till next time...

the pistachio coconut latte here is delicious but i think what's sets this place apart is their coffee roast. highly recommend when in maui!!

The shop has a wide variety of drinks to select from, as well as beans and other souvenirs for purchase. There's generally a line here but it moves quick. The ambiance is pretty cool inside and service is good! While I think the base coffee and its flavor was very good, the flavor was slightly lacking for my flavored drink which was a Chickory Maple Latte. Other than that, if you're looking to sit down you'd probably want to get an outside table. It was quite hot inside the shop!

I really wanted to stop by before leaving Maui -- and I'm so glad I did. If I had left without visiting, I would've definitely regretted it! Nice interior!! The coffee wasn't particularly strong, but it was very fresh and delicious. Honestly, most of the coffee I had in Hawaii was great, and this place was no exception. We ordered an Americano and a latte, and both were quite satisfying. Most of the staff were friendly, but one female employee left me a bit disappointed. When I asked her about the coffee bean price, she didn't say "just a moment" or anything -- she simply stayed silent for about 10-20 seconds as if ignoring my question, and then suddenly told me the price. It made the interaction feel a bit unpleasant, so I decided not to buy the coffee beans and just left. Overall, the coffee was great, but that one interaction was a little disappointing.

I've been a card-carrying member for 10 years, and this place is still my go-to for breakfast or lunch whenever I'm on island. The garlic bagel with lox and EVERYTHING on it hits every time, fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced with that rich, roasted coffee aroma in the air. The vibe here is pure Maui: warm, relaxed, and full of familiar faces. Always consistent, always worth the stop. Pro tip: Get the membership card! It's totally worth it for discounts on future purchases and makes every cup taste a little sweeter.

Unbelievable variety of coffee drinks and sweets. Outstanding service and a very eclectic atmosphere. Great selection of touristy stuff like $25 t-shirts, coffee mugs and coffee beans to go. If you like coffee and can't find something you love you are trying very hard.

First stop after arriving to Maui. This was a great rest stop. A lot of parking. Located in a strip mall. Whole milk for the toddler. Small container. She finished the entire thing in one sitting. Must have been refreshing. Caramel Latte with milk substitute- So good. My husband got the sledgehammer- 4-5 shots of espresso. It tasted very strong. Reminds me of Vietnamese coffee. Small amount of seating inside and some outside. Two restrooms need key.

Just another Chelsie favorite when it comes to fancy breakfast bagel spots. I love all the flavorful toppings with a hint of spice. Definitely filling too. So if I'm not too hungry I could eat half & save the other half for later. A must try if you're a breakfast bagel fan. XOXO, ChelsieFletcher

    Lys G.

We ordered two oat milk iced lattes. One with coconut syrup and another with coconut and blueberry syrup- both are so yummy and not too sweet. The blueberry and coconut one was actually less sweet compared to the other. Definitely best on the island. Very kind environment Accessible with restroom and indoor and outdoor seating. Also had the pound cake- delish!

All the Maui Oma bean varieties we purchased and brought home with us have been excellent. After some research we found Maui Oma's retail space was located in Kumu Farms Market which is located in Maui Tropical Plantation. They offer many different coffees (peaberry coffees, espresso roast, lots of blends), some tools and small equipment for coffee making, and cool Maui Oma merch. Wish they had a tasting station with coffee samples so we get to know all the different coffees and can make easier/quicker choices. They have line cards next to each coffee explaining the roast, origin and flavor profile, but nothing beats sampling them. The cafe next door serves Maui Oma coffee but it's not a place where you can choose the type of Maui Oma beans you want brewed. They don't really showcase the Maui Oma brand by at least telling you what they are brewing. Regardless, I was just happy to try a cup of their coffee at the cafe. Shout out on the sleek, tasteful packaging design and quality. Perfect for gifting.

You can tell they put real care into what they serve, and it shows in every sip. We ordered two lattes, one with brown sugar and one with vanilla, and both were amazing. He said it was one of the best he has ever had, and I have to agree -- buttery, flaky, and so fresh. The shop itself has such a fun, cozy vibe. There's even a swing inside, which adds such a unique and playful touch. It's the kind of place you actually want to hang out in, not just grab a coffee and go. Service was excellent. The barista was super friendly and even made the cutest latte art, which totally made my day. I ordered a 12 oz and loved that it came in a mug, while my husband got a 16 oz to-go. My only wish is that they would offer mugs for the larger sizes too. It would be a nice way to cut down on paper and plastic and make the experience even better. Overall, Akamai Coffee is a gem. I took my parents for their 44th Anniversary and we all love outdoorsy activities so I knew we'd all enjoy this! We were asked to arrive at 10:30 am for the tour and it lasted until 1-1:30 pm. Arrive with good walking shoes, SPF, light sweater and hat (it can get either a little chilly or hot from the direct sunlight), and well hydrated if possible. We were greeted by our friendly and knowledgeable tourguide, Kate from Maryland! She shared with us so many facts about the locally grown produce from herbs, vegetables, fruits, to the friendly worms, to compost and facts about the Farm and the hardworking staff! It was interactive because we got to sniff the herbs, taste the locally grown lettuce, carry a chicken (as seen in the photo with my mom), and even pick the Cherry coffee! After the 2 hour tour, the last hour takes you back to this beautiful seating area in a garden like setting for your 4 course lunch! Each course, the chef comes out and shares details of each course. First course was a Medley of Greens grown on the farm with Tangerine vinaigrette. It was a generous portion for our party of 3 and tried to eat it throughout. There was spiraled carrots and radish with julienned snap peas. Second course was Pan Seared Ono (their proteins are all locally sourced) with Mamaki Tea and Lemongrass Rice with Bok Choy, Collared Greens and Cabbage. Third course was my favorite! I'm usually a big fan of fish but the chicken was so savory and that rub was delish! It was an Organic, Cage Free Chicken with Coffee Cherry Citrus rub with Caramelized Coffee Honey Hash of Carrots, Parsnips, Rutabaga and Celery Root. The spread was a Turmeric and Parsnip puree. Last course of dessert was the O'o Freshly Brewed Coffee with Milk and Simple Syrup with a Dessert Platter of Fresh sliced Pineapple, Tangerine and Apple with Homemade Chocolate Truffles.
