Excellent coffee, food, and service! We visit a lot to get our coffee and a quick snack. Would recommend.

Lots of love but not a tasty latte. Seems to have a following so perhaps a second trip is warranted.

Occupying a space at industrial-alike area, the place somewhat looked like a converted warehouse but did make sense knowing they had the roastery on the spot. We loved the huge and humble open space with warm-welcoming baristas who made intentional effort getting to know the consumers. We got their Macadamia Nut Latte as we're indeed on the quest of comparing this signature flavor from all across coffee shops we visited in town. Great news, we totally got the high rating Tradition got as their coffee was so aromatic and flavorful and we did love their house syrup! Besides, their packaging was literally out of the box - never seen similar one before!

The open air, industrial garage style coffee shop is as much charm as it is delicious. My children (and I) thoroughly enjoyed the chocolate strawberry danish and pumpkin bread. The cortado was smooth and flavorful. Recommend enjoying on site to relish your beverage in a classy, branded mug and eating at one of the rotating food trucks parked out front.

You can tell they put real care into what they serve, and it shows in every sip. We ordered two lattes, one with brown sugar and one with vanilla, and both were amazing. The flavors were balanced, not overly sweet, and complemented the quality of the espresso perfectly. We also shared a cheese danish that my husband absolutely loved. He said it was one of the best he has ever had, and I have to agree -- buttery, flaky, and so fresh. The shop itself has such a fun, cozy vibe. There's even a swing inside, which adds such a unique and playful touch. It's the kind of place you actually want to hang out in, not just grab a coffee and go. Service was excellent. The barista was super friendly and even made the cutest latte art, which totally made my day. I ordered a 12 oz and loved that it came in a mug, while my husband got a 16 oz to-go. My only wish is that they would offer mugs for the larger sizes too. It would be a nice way to cut down on paper and plastic and make the experience even better. Overall, Akamai Coffee is a gem. Between the amazing drinks, delicious pastries, welcoming atmosphere, and thoughtful service, it's the kind of place you'll want to visit again and again. If you're in Maui, definitely make time to stop by. You won't regret it!

Don't forget they have a seasonal menu on their windows, separate from their regular menu. Staff are friendly and patient. I came twice during our visit because it was convenient especially with the baby in the car. They also have various sizes, not just one size which was nice to control the intake of caffeine for the day. I tried the Road to Hana which was good, on the sweeter side. Then, on the second visit, the server told me that I can get the hot chocolate seasonal flavor as a coffee and make it less sweet - i did that. Both very yummy drinks. On the sweeter side. I did not feel the caffeine as much as I did with Early Bird. I love that they offer drive-thru, though, which was super clutch and the reason for our multiple visits. I tried to go to their Kihei Plaza location, but couldn't figure out how to get to the drive-thru, haha! It's like through a parking lot but there are too many buildings around that I just didn't know where to enter.

We ordered a mix of drinks: iced and hot kai lattes, an iced caramel frappé, and a cold brew for our family. Everything was delicious, but my personal favorite was the iced kai latte. Prices are reasonable for the quality you get, but honestly, the highlight of the visit was the service. While chatting with the cashier, I mentioned that I live here and surprisingly she offered me a kama'āina rate. This is not something I expect because I want to give my full support to a local business, but she smiled and said, "I got you." That small moment meant a lot, and it's exactly the kind of aloha spirit that makes a place memorable. Since it's a coffee-to-go setup, I didn't get to experience the interior, but the outside of the roastery has a really charming design. I'll definitely be back!

Ordering done through the small window on the corner but they did have spaces to enjoy your coffee right at the venue as well if you opted to. It was not overly busy but they did take awhile to get the orders ready. Prolly understandable given the server was the one accepting orders and also acting barista. She's just super sweet, making the wait bearable. We got their Kai latte, which was basically their signature latte served with house-made mac nut syrup. Great choice to try when you want to get something with Hawaiian touch, especially with the coffee being pretty good.

I took my parents for their 44th Anniversary and we all love outdoorsy activities so I knew we'd all enjoy this! We were asked to arrive at 10:30 am for the tour and it lasted until 1-1:30 pm. Arrive with good walking shoes, SPF, light sweater and hat (it can get either a little chilly or hot from the direct sunlight), and well hydrated if possible. We were greeted by our friendly and knowledgeable tourguide, Kate from Maryland! She shared with us so many facts about the locally grown produce from herbs, vegetables, fruits, to the friendly worms, to compost and facts about the Farm and the hardworking staff! It was interactive because we got to sniff the herbs, taste the locally grown lettuce, carry a chicken (as seen in the photo with my mom), and even pick the Cherry coffee! After the 2 hour tour, the last hour takes you back to this beautiful seating area in a garden like setting for your 4 course lunch! Each course, the chef comes out and shares details of each course. First course was a Medley of Greens grown on the farm with Tangerine vinaigrette. It was a generous portion for our party of 3 and tried to eat it throughout. There was spiraled carrots and radish with julienned snap peas. Second course was Pan Seared Ono (their proteins are all locally sourced) with Mamaki Tea and Lemongrass Rice with Bok Choy, Collared Greens and Cabbage. Third course was my favorite! I'm usually a big fan of fish but the chicken was so savory and that rub was delish! It was an Organic, Cage Free Chicken with Coffee Cherry Citrus rub with Caramelized Coffee Honey Hash of Carrots, Parsnips, Rutabaga and Celery Root. The spread was a Turmeric and Parsnip puree. Last course of dessert was the O'o Freshly Brewed Coffee with Milk and Simple Syrup with a Dessert Platter of Fresh sliced Pineapple, Tangerine and Apple with Homemade Chocolate Truffles. The meal left us full and nourished! What a wonderful anniversary gift to give my parents. We truly enjoyed it and even made some new friends, both local and visiting.

My son enjoyed the mahi mahi tremendously, which for a kiddo who only eats chicken normally, is a huge compliment! I thought the tour was very informative and interactive as well. Our guide Molly let us pick, smell, and explore a lot of the plants they have growing on the grounds. She also very nicely picked a tangerine for my son because he really wanted one. Overall, worthwhile experience, despite the long drive from Lahaina. I would do this again, whether it is the brunch + coffee tour or the lunch tour!
