Always came here when on Maui, (Kihei). Small family-owned business, they're usually there too, every day. Staff are lovely, food and coffee are excellent, last I knew the owner roasts his beans locally... outside gardens leave me speechless, and everything about Da Green Coffee Bar is wonderful. The ladies were so nice and they were working hard at trying to complete the orders. They were busy too. But sadly my latte had grounds in it. There were more grounds than what is photographed. I'm pretty sure I drank more than half of the grounds on my first sip. I didn't wanna waste the coffee so I had to drink from the top down lol. But otherwise, flavor was good and not too sweet. Came in about 5pm, and only one other guest there before myself. Service was great. She was super friendly! Cafe was clean and welcoming with a cute patio. They were out of ube, so I couldn't get an ube latte, but I got the mocha-nut latte instead and it did it disappoint! Very delicious. The apple danish? Probably top 5 cheese danishes I've had ever... and I am a self-proclaimed cheese danish connoisseur. This place is in the South Maui Gardens area. You'll see a blue old school car parked out front. We were in the area so we stopped to get some cold Lattes. It's located in a beautiful setting with other restaurants and food trucks. My drink was good, but nothing special. Perfectly charming coffee spot hidden in a secluded corner of the Kihei Food Oasis in South Maui Gardens. Several small as well as larger tables were nestled on their deck and between the trees and lush tropical fauna. Coffees of all kinds, including specialty drinks were on offer woth additional options for smoothies, yogurt bowls and several eclectic snd yummy sounding Toasts. Da Green has everything you could want from a coffee shop. - good coffee - kind staff - vegan pastries - gluten-free pastries (if that's your thing) - wifi - shaded outdoor seating - bathrooms Okay, now you get to hear about all the things you didn't know you wanted from a coffee shop until you get there and see that they have it. - tons of plants and a koi pond! - a water bowl for your dog - water for you (you help yourself to it next to the condiment bar) - raw sugar packets (for the strict vegans) - chickens!!!! - chill live music (only sometimes, but it was there when I went and was lovely) - food trucks in case you stay longer than you had planned and get hungry - large tables for big groups I literally sat here for hours, and it was one of my favorite days spent in Maui. What a sweet little coffee and breakfast spot located inside the South Maui Gardens! I stopped in for a coconut ube iced latte and hearty slice of Greek toast on a sunny morning, and enjoyed the cozy outdoor seating under a lovely palm tree. The coffee and food were both prepared fresh, and were delicious. And you can't beat the price - I was out of there with a full belly for just over $16 total (including tax/tip)! The service was super friendly, and very fast even though they were pretty busy when I was there. Very unique and tranquil place to grab coffee. It's a hidden spot off the residential roads and quick. The coffee is good especially the golden milk latte. The baristas are awkward. Great little coffee spot. Might be the smoothest and best (in my opinion) coffee on the island. It is in the Maui Gardens food truck area. Lots of seating. Very casual and relaxing. The gals working were super friendly and enjoyed working together. There are pastries if you want a snack. Yummy flavors to add to your latte and some that are home-made (like blueberry). Wow! I really enjoyed this. Staff was really friendly and the location has a nice cool little patio with shade next to a peaceful koi pond. I got the EBS toast with honey on the side. It's a vibe for sure. We used to come here often, for coffee and pastries, then walk around the gardens a bit. It can get busy, and there's usually just 2-3 people working to run the register, make coffee, and put food together. The coffee is good. I was a big fan of the pasty case. Until, around Christmas time I got this cute gingerbread muffin with frosting and a ginger bread man on it....I think it was like $6/$7? A few days later my coworker brought the whole thing of the same muffins from Costco to share....1 muffin was the price of the whole container. I get it....not everything is made there and that's okay. I'll stick to the toasts and coffees from here on out. read more

My sister is a flight attendant with American Airlines and she had a layover in Maui and I was able to join her for a night and we went here for breakfast. Coffee was good and we got avocado toast on sourdough bread and a Greek yogurt with fruit and granola and honey, which was also very good. DA GREEN COFFEE BAR is a surprisingly spacious coffee shop complete with its own garden in land-scarce Maui. It is conveniently located across the street (plus one whole building over) from the beach. Also conveniently located next to a condominium building, a condo we happened to be staying at. Yes! The coffee shop is in one of the buildings in the lot. Another building is a kitchen churning out baked goods. Between these two are picnic tables and benches. There is a beautiful garden beyond. Although, you are in Maui, everything is a beautiful garden. There is a very short line to order, but that's more because of the customers trying to make their minds than the friendly workers. I'm so sad! I just had an awful experience at this place! Today I felt like I was in the twilight zone! I was invisible to them and no one ever asked if I needed assistance. When I asked if anyone was going to help me, I was told I was not standing where the line begins (3ft from where I was standing and no signage), even though I was the only customer in the teeny, tiny store. Randomly found this little gem while browsing through Yelp reviews last year and what a serendipitous discovery it was! The coffee shop is located in South Maui Gardens and honestly wasn't even sure where that was initially, but now it's blossomed into such a lovely little area to cruise. What particularly caught my eye was their Turkish coffee option. No one else on the island does this as far as I know and I'm always down to trying unique things! Now this was back in April 2022 and I'm not sure if they still do it now since I didn't see set-up when I last visited the other week, BUT at the time, the owner must've noticed me curiously studying their set up. She kindly began explaining what it is, started it up, and went through the whole demo with us and took us step by step through the process. She gave us a sampling of the coffee on the house which I really loved. The coffee itself was just ok for me as I like my coffees sweet, but my husband really enjoyed it! Above all though, the customer service was above and beyond and made the whole experience! I was tickled that I got to try something new. We also ordered some toasts which was pretty simple, but good as they are made from fresh baked bread from across the way at Blue Door Bakery. We enjoyed it out on their little patio area which has a handful of tables. I watched as monarch butterflies came and went in the butterfly garden as I sipped my coffee and overall it was a very enjoyable experience. I stopped by again the other week and got myself another iced mocha and was reminded I need to visit here more often. I definitely recommend this cute little spot. It almost feels like you're not on Maui. It's a lovely place to hang out for a bit and if you need more sustenance, there are a bunch of food outlets nearby on the South Maui Garden grounds. read more

Such a beautiful little coffee bar which was right behind the condo that we rented in Maui. Loved their straight-shot pricing, food, and kind service. They had plenty of toasts (avocado, lox toasts, etc.) as well as plenty of different espresso drinks. Although I didn't see it on their menu, they also seemed to have some burritos stowed away, which were delicious and fresh and already-made for me to pick up after a morning run. Cute place. A small hidden oasis behind fences. This opens up to several other shops. This one is on the right side. Entrance to order is on the right, pick up is where the patio is! Unfortunately, when I order it almost never comes out correctly.. and It's not complicated orders either.. I'm talking whole milk instead of the almond milk I ordered or a regular latte when I ordered a dirty chai. More on that.. I only ever order chai's or matcha's here because I've always found the standard coffee/espresso here to be watery, not strong robust coffee. While we've stayed on the island many times, this was our first time staying in Kihei. Like many, our day is kick-started with great coffee, seems easy right? Out of many that we visited, we kept coming back to Da Green every day. Their setting is cool/shade/lush tropical garden, and the vibe is definitely fun and relaxed, chill music playing. Outdoor garden and veranda seating. While we usually walked, there is plenty of parking nearby. Service is awesome, the crew are super-friendly, and make great coffee. Clean machine, great beans, great setup. We felt really welcomed by the entire team. Da Green quickly became part of our routine. We'll be back next year. This is a hidden gem! We have lived here for over 5 years and been coming to Maui for over 30 years and and we just discovered it! It is so beautiful and serene here with the beautiful plants, butterflies and water feature. We came here today and had cappuccino, Avo toast, and a turkey club. This is definitely the coolest place to get your caffeine fix. Da Green Coffee Bar is located at the south end of South Maui Gardens, which is the coolest place to enjoy your caffeinated beverage. There's usually a line to order, because word has gotten around, but it moves quickly and definitely worth the wait. The staff is really friendly and your coffee selection is usually ready in just a few minutes. Toast may take a little longer, but you can sit at a table on their lanai or they'll find you in the gardens if you don't wander too far off. I've had the iced coffee, which is very good. My last cup was a Cafe Latte and I really liked the foam on top. They even gave me a free refill of coffee and I doctored it up with some of the extras on the counter. There is a huge parking lot on the mauka side of South Maui Garden, entered from Auhana Road. You'll be able to find Da Green Coffee Bar easily. read more

There are different vendors where Da Green Coffee Bar is located. Service was quick and the workers are really nice. There's also FREE WIFI! We got the white chocolate oat milk latte and vanilla latte. Tasty, not too sweet, coffee was not too acidic, and just right! We got da avo toast and da ham and cheese toast. Avo toast tastes good, they put enough seasonings and priced fairly. The ham and cheese came with salad on top with papaya seed dressing I assume - pretty good but it was too sour for my mom. Look for the cool lime green building/surf hut set within the beautiful, lush South Maui Gardens! You'll be glad you did! Their coffee is "da bomb" too (pun intended)! My husband and I first popped in on 11/12/2021, which happened to be one of their soft opening days. Catalina was so friendly and welcoming, and shared with us more about what this new coffee bar was about. We went back again a couple of days later and got to speak with the owner as well, and you can clearly see the passion that these individuals have in their shop, their philosophy, their community, and of course...COFFEE! I had never seen or heard of Turkish coffee, but check it out when you visit! It looks like an intricate vintage metal box with a tray on top filled with sand. Atop the sand sits 3 metal cups with long fancy handles that hold the coffee which is then warmed up by the hot sand. I'm kind of guessing here, since I didn't see the whole thing in action, but either way, it's one of the unique offerings they have at Da Green Coffee Bar. This place is genuinely cool and full of museum-like coffee hardware and artifacts! They talked a lot about their Give Back Program as well when we were waiting patiently for our almond milk latte and almond butter toast. You gotta love (and support) a local business that devotes their time and resources to give back to those in need in the community. Da Green is da best!
