Thai Tea Latte and Oatmeal Cookies
    Justine J.

The cinnamon rolls were fantastic. We had to wait a bit, but they came fresh out of the oven and was super soft, pillowy, and buttery. It was perfectly swirled with perfect amount of cinnamon-sugar filling with gooey texture. The cream cheese icing was so good too. It was sugary as expected, but not cloying. I have not had cinnamon rolls like these in decades only because my brother's ex-girlfriend mom had made really good ones too. This was a very nostalgic experience and I love how each layer just falls apart and you cut through it like butter. Their hot Thai Tea Latte is also a must have. It smells phenomenal and is perfectly sweetened. I have never had Thai Tea in latte form so this was a great experience too. The staff are very friendly too! ***NOTE: If you get the self-serve pre-wrapped goods, I recommend you to verify with staff on the actual product, even if it looks obvious, as the goods are not individually labeled. You will get inconsiderate tourists who mindlessly don't put things back where they belong.

Update 2/26 They close early , so to be here after the ocean is lucky. After my order, there were only 3 left. Ours are for tomorrow morning with coffee Absolutely the Best.

Rating based off the cinnamon roll. Hot out of the oven and on a plate for me to consume with coffee. Yes I got the cream on the side. Pricey sure, but everything is all around. Worth the wait yes, if this is what you are wanting. I think it's important to consume it HOT asap.

A little shop that delivers big. They are right off of South Kīhei Rd. Walk up and order, and wait for your name to be called. On my second visit, they remembered my name and gave me a heads up that they would be closed the next day. It's the little things like that go a long way. Fast and friendly service with a few tables and chairs right outside. I'm more of a salty & savory eater so I went with the Hawaiian Head Sandwich - Scramble Egg with Cheddar cheese and Kalua Pork. It went great with their Mac Nut drip coffee.

You can smell the delicious aroma from the parking lot! I came early anticipating a line. I was second in line and then a group followed. The service is fast and the rolls are warm. You can add any toppings, double up even, and have icing on the side which is a plus because I don't typically like the icing. The cinnamon is generous! The dough is soft and the portion is huge! I definitely could have shared just one. It's a great treat and a good try if you've never been. I'm not a huuuuggee fan of cinnamon rolls so I can't say I would wait in line for them. I came early just to try and see what the hype was about. It's definitely better to eat them fresh, they're not the same the next day.

    Cinnamon Roll with Macadamia Nuts

We heard about this place from my brother who comes everytime he visits Maui, and it did not disappoint. When you walk in the smell welcomes you with cinnamon warmth. The cinnamon rolls are a generous size and they are hands down one of the best cinnamon rolls I've tried. The texture is the perfect blend of gooey, sticky magic with enough substance to maintain its shape and chewiness. We added the cream cheese frosting and macadamia nuts and it was the perfect mid morning treat. Highly recommend.

This is the best cinnamon roll I've had in my life! I've been telling everyone about it. It's ooey and gooey and just before they box it up, they dip the roll into more gooey. Frosting is offered on the side for the sole purpose of them being able to add more gooey to the cinnamon roll. It's heavenly. I ordered a breakfast egg and Kalua pig wrap and the cinnamon roll was bigger. I paired the roll with a vanilla Mac nut cold brew and it was amazing! Best thing I ate in Maui. Please come and create your own adventure.

I get its long lines! On New Year's Day, we waited in line for around 10 minutes and waited another 20 for a 6 pack of their original cinnamon rolls. If you buy 5, the 6th is free. The total, with a frosting for each, came out to a little over $35. The cream cheese frosting is not included in the order so you have to add on. The rolls came out so hot and fresh! They were so soft but still had a firmness on the edges. Their cream cheese frosting isn't too tart, which I appreciate. I loved that the roll was buttery too. It's not overly cinnamon-y. It's very filling but you also don't feel so heavy afterwards! And despite being made from a wheat dough, it's still so good, even days after.

I did get up REALLY early for this place. Worth it? ABSOLUTELY. Icing is sold separately, and I personally used one portion of icing for 2 rolls. These rolls are amazing! Warm, gooey, filling, delicious. Service was friendly. We had to wait about 5 minutes for the rolls to be ready, since they had just ran out, and I would have waited so much longer. They are that good. So, as with every small business that may have a wait, please be patient and kind.

Have I ever had a cinnamon roll that was this ooey and delicious not only just the middle bit the ENTIRE THING? No I have not! I got there early like around 7 and there was already a line. Luckily it moved fast! We also got the breakfast bagel for some protein to fuel the day. I would go back in a heart beat next time in Maui!

I had an excellent cinnamon roll here when I was staying in Kihei a week ago. I'm so glad that we happened to be staying at a hotel that was walking distance from the Cinnamon Roll Place. There was a short line when I arrived. This is an order-and-go kind of place with a few tables outside on the sidewalk. I thought they only had cinnamon rolls, but they also have banana bread, scones, brownies, sandwiches, coffees, and teas. I only got one classic cinnamon roll with cream cheese frosting and my timing was just right; if they run out of rolls, you have to wait while they bake up a new batch. Once I left, the line had grown substantially, so just be patient if you do have to wait; the roll is worth it. *The store is closed on Tuesdays. Checking their website, they'll be closed from October 25-November 4, 2025 (possibly their vacation hiatus).

Small but mighty. The cinnamon rolls were so fresh and amazing. The frosting and nuts came on the side which was nice since it was a bit of a drive back to our condo. I got the Hawaii latte and it was descent. Staff was welcoming and pricing was average. I would definitely return.

    Heather K.

Not too busy, delicious cinnamon roll with cream cheese frosting. The chai tea latte was good as well. TikTok recommended this place. It is very small, only a few people can be inside it at once. There aren't very many tables to eat at outside. But you could easily take your roll to go and enjoy the views elsewhere! You have to pay extra for the frosting btw.

Do NOT just get the cinnamon rolls! This is the Best Sammy!! Hawaii Head Sandwich

It was an early April afternoon, and they still had a small selection of malasadas available. I snagged one chocolate filled, one vanilla filled, and two sugar dusted malasadas, $1.50 each, plus two streusel banana breads, $8.25 each and four regular banana breads, $8 each. The malasadas were for us; however, I thought the banana breads would make great souvenirs to bring back home. Back at the resort, we froze most of them, and on the morning of our departure, I carefully packed them in my luggage and carry-on bag as precious cargo going home! We also tried their mango bread which was moist and fruity (no chunks of mango in it though) and the lime pie which was lovely! However, I think the big surprise for me was that the malasadas are smaller than I expected. The first time I had a malasada was at Leonard's in Oahu which are like...the size of your hand. These are more like golf ball sized. They were still excellent but I think that just caught me off guard. But we still enjoyed them!

I really like that I can select from the old world German Artisan collection and the Hawaiian Artisan baked goods. I snagged the Isabelle, a loaf of bread made of spelt (dinkel wheat, high in protein, fiber, and antioxidants) and rolled in an assortment of seeds. The texture is soft and the crust is slightly chewy. Just right and the taste is very satisfying. I can't bring myself to putting a slice into the toaster, though, because I don't want to risk losing any of the seeds. I'll be fine with the broiler and some butter. I also went for the Hawaiian Bread. Just thinking about it makes my mouth water. It has pineapple, toasted coconut and tiny soft raisins. The bread is moist from the pineapple juice and the loaves are small. I could finish one off in a setting but I resisted the urge. I also bought extras for sharing and had to pass them out quickly before temptation called. I'll return soon.

Basically they cut the croissant in half, filled in the cream and put the top back. Odd. Better between the two. Might be too sweet for some. Prices are higher than other places. I don't think you'll find anything subpar. Seems like good offerings.

Instant good vibes, the whole line outside was just smiling and waiting patiently. Finally get seated and both the hostess and waitress were super nice--real friendly, no rush, no attitude. In the front they had mushroom soup on the specials board, so we figured we go sample um. I had them bring a cup of soup out to start along with my wife's coffee. Gotta be honest--when I dipped my spoon in, I was already judging. Looked kinda thin, not creamy like other mushroom soups I've had. I was thinking, "Ahh here we go." Took one spoonful and immediately had to humble myself. That soup was money. Like, stop-talking-and-just-eat. My wife tried it and confirmed that this soup was "winnahs" . Deep mushroom flavor with the right amount of seasoning. It also came with a little piece of focaccia toast which I would have really enjoyed but had to take my wife's word for it since she ate um all . Should've ordered the bowl. Rookie mistake. For my main, I went with the original eggs Benedict. Portions were a little on the small side, but with the roasted potatoes, I was good. Didn't leave hungry, didn't need to loosen the belt--perfect middle ground. My wife got the strawberry waffles and yeah... those were legit. She's not a syrup person, so she asked for more whipped cream. The waitress comes back with a little mountain of whipped cream in the little silver ramekin. All in all, solid spot. Friendly people, ono food, and little touches that make you feel taken care of. We will be heading to Cafe Kaila again to try some other stuff like the "chicken and waffles", and next time, I'm not playing around with the soup. Bowl, Garans.
