My favorite go to plane to have breakfast, brunch, lunch. Love their eggs Benedict. They baked their own sourdough bread!!! Everything is always fresh, and you get to eat in the garden surrounded by birds and trees. Perfect.

This is the first time we've been in this area with lots of restaurants and food trucks. We were in the area because one of our favorite restaurants had moved to this location. After eating there we walked the area and found this bakery. We decided that we needed a sourdough baguette to take back to the condo for our evening dinner. It was yummy! We were at the end of our stay so we'll have to come back and see what else this bakery has to offer.

OMG the pizza was legit! We loved the crust! Margherita: 10/10 Maui Gold Pineapple: 15/10!! Spicy Sausage, Mushrooms & Maui Onions: 12/10!! We also picked up a sourdough. Tip: They are all the way at the back end of the food truck entrance. We walked and walked, and almost gave up, when we realized it's all the way towards the back!

This establishment is wonderfully and uniquely blended with Hawaiian, American, and French culinary influences and flavor profiles. The owner graciously and enthusiastically took the time to introduce and explain the high-quality ingredients they source, shared the meaningful brand history and story behind the restaurant, and expressed their deep farm-to-table passion and commitment regarding their artisan bread and carefully crafted cuisine. The restaurant is blended into the nature which is relaxing and green!

I ordered the Maui Gold Pizza which has ham, onion, & Maui Gold Pineapple. The crust is thin and crispy. I love the combination of this pizza- plus with Maui Gold it's a MUST order. A great spot to eat at located in the South Maui Gardens & you can walk around before or after. Parking- street parking

I wanted some good bakery bread. Hey, sometimes you get picky with carbs. My son & I had been disappointed by another restaurant & I found this on Yelp. What a find! The campagne I got has supplied me with a nice toasted breakfast for a couple days. My son ordered a cheese pizza and I had something from their all day breakfast menu - toast with burrata and pesto. So marvelous! My juice was I believe lilikoi, mango and .. I forget. But very tasty! The staff was really nice and made us feel welcome. It's situated in a garden area which is really peaceful. A gem!

Lilikoi French toast.

The lilikoi French toast was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. Delicious!

We don't really buy many things here and order drinks when we're in the area. We had the mousse dessert, the kombucha, lilikoi root beer, and macnut nitro cold brew. The mousse dessert had a toffee layer that worked well but had coffee beans it that didn't really work for well for me. I get it as a texture thing. The kombucha and root beer tasted flat unfortunately so who knows how long it has been in the fridge. These are better fresh to me. The macnut cold brew was good though.

Upon entering the South Maui Gardens, we saw this place. Ordered a pepperoni pizza for my nephew. The guy at the front was very kind and helpful. When we arrived home it looked pretty good, and was actually good. My nephew ate most of the pizza only leaving us a few bites! Lol We will be back!! Thank you!

Sausage and mushrooms

We tried their sourdough bread a few months ago and it is fantastic! Hot out of the oven in the morning. Then, today, we decided to try one of their pizzas. Sausage and mushrooms to be exact, and once again we have a winner. The sourdough crust is so good; it makes the pizza so much better. The ingredients are high quality too. So, I must reluctantly say (reluctant because I don't want them to become overrun) this place in little old south Kihei makes the best bread and pizza we've had since we lived in Italy.

I went to this location at about 8:30 am on a Friday. There was little to no wait for me to place my order and get my drink. I got the skillet that comes with sausage, egg, and sweet potato to eat. And I got the made in Maui hibiscus lychee kombucha to drink. The seating is in the garden, so it is quite an immersive experience to be eating in a tropical garden that is. The skillet was served in a cast iron skillet. I personally think the plating is a little small for the portion as some ingredients started to fall out as I ate it. The eggs are cooked sunny side up and crispy on the edges. It was a runny yolk that wasn't jammy at all. Oh, and the sweet potatoes were purple!! The skillet also comes with some other ingredients not listed on the menu but are all fantastic additions: pickled red onion, sunflower microgreens, and I think some mushrooms, too? The last thing I would think help improve this dish is to remove the shells from the sunflower microgreens. When I was done, I found myself throughly satisfied. I was unsure of where to bring my dish when I was done. I just brought my dish back to the ordering counter to where the associate took it for me but then I asked if they had a bus tub, to which she informed me they have a bus cart at the end of the counter/storage. I also ordered a cold brew coffee to go.

It helps to order ahead but you will need to order the day before - they don't do same day orders. Also some things you can't order online like their musubis, etc. However you can still get their malasadas and croissants, etc. We tried all their malasadas and our favs were the coconut cream and the lilikoi (passion fruit). We also tried their mango bread which was moist and fruity (no chunks of mango in it though) and the lime pie which was lovely! However, I think the big surprise for me was that the malasadas are smaller than I expected. The first time I had a malasada was at Leonard's in Oahu which are like...the size of your hand. These are more like golf ball sized. They were still excellent but I think that just caught me off guard. But we still enjoyed them!

I'm actually a huge fan of their lilikoi key lime pie - that is fantastic! It's the right amount of sweetness mixed with the tartness of the lime and the creaminess hits the spot. Really would be great for a nice post beach treat (or if you can put it in a cooler, a nice beach treat!). Lots of great pastries are available too - scones and other types of pastries as well!

I really like that I can select from the old world German Artisan collection and the Hawaiian Artisan baked goods. I snagged the Isabelle, a loaf of bread made of spelt (dinkel wheat, high in protein, fiber, and antioxidants) and rolled in an assortment of seeds. The texture is soft and the crust is slightly chewy. Just right and the taste is very satisfying. I can't bring myself to putting a slice into the toaster, though, because I don't want to risk losing any of the seeds. I'll be fine with the broiler and some butter. I also went for the Hawaiian Bread. Just thinking about it makes my mouth water. It has pineapple, toasted coconut and tiny soft raisins. The bread is moist from the pineapple juice and the loaves are small. I could finish one off in a setting but I resisted the urge. I also bought extras for sharing and had to pass them out quickly before temptation called. I'll return soon.

I did enjoy overall. The cinnamon roll was not hot from the oven, so I avoided disappointment. Next time I got the almond croissant. Pretty tasty. Basically they cut the croissant in half, filled in the cream and put the top back. Odd. Better between the two. Might be too sweet for some. Prices are higher than other places. I don't think you'll find anything subpar. Seems like good offerings.

But nah, good timing. People were finishing up, bussing tables, and bam, maybe 20-30 minutes tops. Not bad at all. While we was waiting, they come out with waffle samples for everyone in line. I mean... who does that? That's how you keep people from getting all hangry. Instant good vibes, the whole line outside was just smiling and waiting patiently. Finally get seated and both the hostess and waitress were super nice--real friendly, no rush, no attitude. In the front they had mushroom soup on the specials board, so we figured we go sample um. I had them bring a cup of soup out to start along with my wife's coffee. Gotta be honest--when I dipped my spoon in, I was already judging. Looked kinda thin, not creamy like other mushroom soups I've had. I was thinking, "Ahh here we go." Took one spoonful and immediately had to humble myself. That soup was money. Like, stop-talking-and-just-eat. My wife tried it and confirmed that this soup was "winnahs" . Deep mushroom flavor with the right amount of seasoning. It also came with a little piece of focaccia toast which I would have really enjoyed but had to take my wife's word for it since she ate um all . Should've ordered the bowl. Rookie mistake. For my main, I went with the original eggs Benedict. Portions were a little on the small side, but with the roasted potatoes, I was good. Didn't leave hungry, didn't need to loosen the belt--perfect middle ground. My wife got the strawberry waffles and yeah... those were legit. She's not a syrup person, so she asked for more whipped cream. The waitress comes back with a little mountain of whipped cream in the little silver ramekin. All in all, solid spot. Friendly people, ono food, and little touches that make you feel taken care of. We will be heading to Cafe Kaila again to try some other stuff like the "chicken and waffles", and next time, I'm not playing around with the soup. Bowl, Garans.

The Lilikoi was a total standout--bright, fresh, and perfectly tart. I found myself breaking off the flaky layers just to dip them into that golden center.
