Pizza

We heard great things about this restaurant so we decided to try it out. Make sure you have a reservation or you probably won't get a table. We ordered the insalata verde salad to split and it was really good. We then ordered the rigatoni con speck and the Quattro pizza and shared both of those as well. The food was delicious and very flavorful. Our server, Kate, was very knowledgeable when it came to what wine to order based on the food we ordered. We sat upstairs, it was nice but there are no windows. If you get a chance to eat there I would definitely recommend it.

When I think of dining in Maui, I didn't expect one of my most memorable dinners would be an Italian restaurant... But here we are! I am so happy I listened to the reviews and booked a table for dinner (make reservations! I booked same day) we sat on the patio with the stars overhead and a pleasant warm wind. Every table was filled with happy patrons, both inside and out. Our waitress was lovely and provided great recommendations for each section, always remembered to check on us, and even had great conversation. The food- The pancetta with egg pizza. Incredible. Their flour is imported from Italy and you can truly taste the difference. My husband and I are pizza obsessed people and we truly felt the lightness in the crust and how it didn't make you feel bloated was due to that. The ingredients were flavorful and fresh and all around a top notch pie. The shrimp pasta. Honestly? A perfect dish. The star of the show. The pasta was cooked perfectly al dente and is homemade. The shrimp was jumbo and not overcooked. The chopped garlic and sauce was just delightful and I found myself dipping my pizza crust into it (lol). 10/10 The tiramisu was light and delicious with a thick creamy consistency. Paired with espresso just ended the night perfectly. Tip- if you want a N/A drink try the phony Negroni!! To wrap this up, the food is stellar. The service was great. The ambience warm and inviting. All around a great dining experience. Would come back in a heartbeat!

Of course, when in Maui, you want Italian. Well, my kids did, and we ended up here, inside the food court of Whaler's Village in Lahaina. They both loved it and didn't have a single negative thing to say. The wait was a bit for a bowl of pasta and a slice of pizza, but they had just opened, so I understand. They would totally come back to this place and that's saying a lot coming from my picky kiddos.

What a gem in Maui! We arrived after 8 pm on a weekday without a reservation in September. After a short wait, we were seated at the bar. Service was excellent. The hostess clearly prioritized reservations (and seems to held tables for late arrivals), so I'd definitely recommend booking ahead. We tried a salad, the Spaghetti Neri con Gamberi e 'Nduja, and a special sardine pizza. Everything was absolutely delicious. The oil from the shrimp heads paired beautifully with the squid ink pasta, and the pizza dough was perfect. The chefs' love story and the re-opening after the fire make this place even more special. Truly a must-visit.

Amazing! One of the best food experiences I've had in my travels. Everything was 10/10 delicious. Wait staff and atmosphere was also phenomenal. My only regret is not having enough room for dessert. Everyone was eating it but I was already over the top stuffed. We added lobster to the gnocchi and did not regret it for a second. They have several non-alcoholic drink options as well. Great experience. Who would have known Maui would have great Italian food?!

We discovered this Maui treasure earlier this year. Sadly, the original was lost in the Lahaina fire but determination and will led the owners to reopen in a new location up the hill from their original. Everything served here is either from Maui or Italy. The owners are truly engaged with their customers and our server (Katie) was attentive, knowledgeable about the food and wine and very friendly. She is a treasure! The puffy dough was amazing. Very light puff pizza dough with olive oil. Light, flavorful and delicious. The pizzas are Neapolitan and I've never had a better one, even in Italy. The next night we had a prawns, shredded zucchini, linguini in olive oil and a lasagna. Perfection! The mahi was grilled over a wood fired grill and was fantastic. I could go on endlessly but it's just easier to go yourself and try it. You won't be disappointed!- we went there 4 times on our last trip to Maui

This is by far our favorite restaurant on the west side of Maui. I saw Sale Pepe pop up in my feed, but it was rarely mentioned in my Maui Facebook groups. The menu looked good so we decided to try it. We went thinking that we were going to pick up a couple of pizzas and head back to our resort after a long day of sight seeing. However, we stayed for what felt like an intimate home cooked Italian dinner. Everything was so delicious we decided to make a second trip back before we left the island. The food is superb. The staff is extremely knowledgeable about food and Italian cuisine. We enjoyed every single bite. Sale Pepe was definitely a highlight of our trip. Our servers were Kas and Jason. ‍

Where is the check in stand!? This was my first question, and clearly a lot of other people's as well. I think what made this the most difficult was that the person checking people in was not at the podium and it was weird that you have to walk up the ramp and stand basically right in front of someone's table to check in. I think this falls down to the line that this is clearly a business complex and they made do. I recommend making a reservation as it can get busy, but you can also select where you want to sit. The food was fantastic, and it all comes down to the ingredients. The import their flower and another ingredients directly from Italy and you can tell the difference. The vibe of the restaurant is intimate yet casual. And huge shoutout to Sierra (hope I spelled it correctly) for making us feel at home and for helping us with our dietary restrictions!

So glad we could get a table just before closing tonight. Service was excellent and they were able to accommodate us without a reservation. We tried the rigatoni, the calzone special, bufala mozzarella pizza, the risotto, and the beef cheek pasta. All were amazing and would absolutely recommend. I love the intimate atmosphere and ambience. Lahaina is lucky to have Sale Pepe back!

Was excited when they reopened! We went on 7/3 and they were packed the whole time we were there with people waiting. Server was so helpful and friendly and food was devine. We ordered the focaccia bread to share. It wasn't what I was expecting but it was so good! I got the eggplant Parmesan. It was so delightful and delicious that I can't wait to go back to get it again. They got the ravioli and thoroughly enjoyed it as well. We missed dessert because we were stuffed but will definitely save room next time. We sat outside which had a great breeze. Went inside to check it out and it has a great vibe all around. Can't wait to go back!

We never visited the previous location, but decided to check out this new location. We got a spot on the lanai which faced a road that wasn't very busy but had ample shade. It was a bit crowded on the patio but not too bad. Our server was excellent. She brought new place settings between courses and paced the food well. The food was excellent. We tried aranchini, focaccia, chicken liver pâté, mushroom pizza, and guanciale pasta. It was all incredible. The pizza crust and focaccia was perfect. The tomato sauce and the guanciale had so much flavor but still felt fresh. The arancini were a perfect texture. I've already made another reservation to go back.

This is truly your authentic Italian restaurant to experience. The vibe was nice, and our server Makaila, was awesome & very informative. We actually ate outside and never experienced the indoors while eating. Here is a list of things we ordered: FOCACCIA GONFIA (bread) ARANCINI CACIO PEPE (fried appetizer) INSALATA VERDE (salad) INSALATA ROMANA (salad) LASAGNA MALFALDE CON GUANCIALE DI MANZO (pasta) RIGATONI CON SPECK E ZAFFERANO (pasta) DON'T CALL ME ALFREDO (pasta) This was probably one of our best food experiences and we LOVE Italian! Can't wait to go back and try the pizza.

It's gorgeous inside and some of the best service we've had - hostess, waiter, bussers, everyone was excellent. We also loved the food we had. It's upscale and island prices, but well worth it. Everything was tasty and we enjoyed a nice bottle of wine. They will cork your leftovers for you to take back so don't be shy about getting a bottle. This small cozy restaurant has breathtaking views and the waves cresting against the coast was an amazing sounding experience. We started with a half dozen of oysters it was so fresh, the shave wasabi went so terrific with it. We added the beef tallow truffle fries and it was delicious as well. I ordered the chef specialty fresh fish dish and my husband had an osso bucco. Both were delicious and filled us up. He ordered a couple different whiskeys and he said it blended well with all the dishes. They had many options for dessert. We ordered Roselani's vanilla ice cream and a americano.
