We tried chocolate cookies & cream and lilikoi cheesecake on a chocolate waffle cone with whipped cream and chocolate sprinkles (yes... go big or go home). The ice cream was super creamy and the flavors were on point -- the lilikoi cheesecake had that perfect sweet-tangy balance. We also grabbed a two-scoop chocolate with M&Ms on a waffle cone, and of course my son built his own masterpiece with two scoops loaded with gummy bears, M&Ms, and whipped cream. Kid definitely understood the assignment. Great portions, fun toppings, and the waffle cones make it even better. Perfect stop after dinner or just when the Maui heat says you deserve ice cream. I had really high hopes for Island Cream Co, but was sadly disappointed. We swung by a couple hours ago and there was only one person in front of us. We stood there for 10 minutes and no one greeted us or acknowledged us. When it was finally our turn, more customers showed up and all of a sudden two additional workers came from the back to help out... We felt like we weren't cared for and that was a huge turn off for us. We ordered two small glacier ice station shaved ice. The flavors I chose were guava, passion fruit and lychee. I thought the flavors were really good, but I unfortunately didn't add enough syrup so it was on the weaker side which made it harder to eat. That's my fault though! Very nice service and experience. This ice cream / gelato fusion was one of the best things we've ever had. We got the chocolate chip Mac nut flavor and it was specifically outstanding. The ube was a lovely and noticeable flavor but I felt it lacked a bit of sweetness for my taste. The shave ice was a good fineness and quality. Easy walk up on a Saturday late morning but as we sat , the line coming in was steady and the one person working was great! Very patient and calm demeanor. I loved all the ice cream offerings and sampled a few for kicks. Ended up with a small shave ice with a scoop of pineapple cream. It's very exciting to be able to select and serve myself any flavor that spoke to me. And afterwards, you can have snow cap and li hing mui added by the employee which is what I did. While the ice isn't as flakey as a couple other places I have tried, it's tasty nonetheless. Definitely coming back, maybe for ice cream only but who knows! The service was really quick, and they got the order done correctly. It was pretty busy in there, despite it being about 40 minutes to close on a Tuesday night. There were a few indoor seats and two outdoor picnic tables. The Slosh shave ice was not as good as the quality at Island Vintage Shave Ice. I didn't get the ice cream, but I imagine that is the best thing they service at this place. I would recommend sticking to the ice cream and getting the shave ice at Island Vintage. read more

I went for the ice cream, selecting two different styles of caramel, one salty and one with pecans. To be more precise after reading their website, they have 36 island cream flavors to choose from. Island cream is a little different than ice cream, a difference I honestly didn't notice because I didn't know to consider. For me it was "Ice Cream, GOOD". They offer a whole display of familiar and unfamiliar flavors. While I didn't notice much caramel flavor that's common for me, I almost need veins of caramel or caramel candy for it to really stand out, I did very much like the overall act of eating my island cream. A popular spot for obvious reasons, Island Cream Co has made a mark for itself by serving up delicious ice cream and shave ice in the area. Parking in the area is abundant and the place is clean despite syrup stations being out in the open. The shave ice is self serve on syrups so you can go crazy on yours or just add light flavoring. If you want ice cream or anything else they will prepare it in full for you behind the counter but beware of any allergies as we saw a worker scoop different flavors with the same scoop after the first scoop had touched one with nuts. We ordered multiple different flavors of the ice cream and most were pretty good. They do also include a rolled chocolate wafer which was a nice touch for those who enjoy it. For those in our party who ordered the shave ice, they said it was good as well. The seating is a bit limited in the store so beware you may need to wait or take your stuff to go. This place has very good bones and I think one or two changes would make it even better,they have a unique product and we would recommend giving it a go if you're in the area. read more

I'm rating it 5 stars for being innovative alone! They serve both delicious ice cream and shave ice. And the shave ice is self-serve. Now that is unique. They call their shave ice "glacier ice". They give you a packed bowl of snow and you can put whatever flavors you want from there dozens of flavor taps. The only thing that's a little annoying is it's kind of messy. Because it drips from the upper taps to the lower taps. But I'm sure you get better at this as you build more of your own Shave Ice bowls. Pretty much the only shave ice place in the area so quite busy during the day as you can imagine. They have a few seats inside and a couple tables outside. Nice thing is when you're done.
