Cold brew, a latte with honey and salt (in my personal cup) and a sourdough almond croissant.

Normally we come for lunch or dinner, but I was craving a latte and ended up enticed by their expanded breakfast offerings. The sausage sandwich is super flavorful with eggs, a sausage patty, arugula, and a tasty sauce. I'd had their egg sandwich before and honestly it was a little bland, so the sausage really makes it. My coffee was perfect as always. I love that they use organic milk and it's always a little piece of art to sip and enjoy. The almond croissant was flakey with just the right about of filling. My husband is also a fan of their cold brew. One note is that if you come in for breakfast you won't get the service they provide for lunch and dinner. They're busy prepping for lunch, so you'll need to flag someone down if you need something. They always seem happy to ensure your dining experience is superb.

Meatballs were amazing. The bolognese was so salty we couldn't eat it. The pizza was good. Wasn't worth the hype for me.

Makawao, HI. I really liked this restaurant . We were seated without a reservation and the place was very busy. All the staff ladies were exceptionally friendly and helpful. This was about 6:00 pm for dinner. The vibe is casual but trendy. A buzz of activity was going on. Everything we tried was just bursting with flavors! We started out with the meatballs which were as good as grandma's, who made the best, of course. I would categorize them as "Memorable Meatballs". The sauce that came with them (2 of them) was perfect in every way. The chopped salad was large enough for three people and was fresh and delicious. The dressing was a great complimentary addition to the greens. The braised pork pizza was over the top good. Just the right amount of char on a sourdough crust and a sauce that was just full of flavor. The Lilikoi butter provided a bright spot on the tomato palate. This I believe, helps make this pizza unique. The prawns were large and you get six. They tasted great , soaked in chimichurri . They would be perfect with just a little less salt and a bit more garlic. Mushrooms in crème fraiche, just outstanding. Note that the emphasis is on the sauce, not the mushrooms. For dessert was the gelato with fennel pollen, honey, olive oil, and sea salt. This is an absolute must to try, it's divine. The Panna cotta is rich and silky, nicely done. There is a decorative crumble on top that adds a little crunch and gives the dish a good presentation. There are some sweet floral notes in the custard, most likely cardamom. The ginger fizz drink is very good with a nice ginger kick without tasting like ginger ale. A well constructed mocktail. The vibe in the morning is about a 180 degree turn about. There is no table service, not busy enough. Order at the counter. The cheerful night time ladies have been replaced by a solitary glum teen who is not happy and maybe don't even like the people she has to deal with in the morning. She is efficient though. Nevertheless, the quiche was great. Great flavor, great crust, interesting top glaze that was different from any I've seen. The latte featured the same topping of fennel pollen, etc. that was on the gelato last night. Pretty amazing version of a latte. My suggestion, to make it perfect, is to order it with an extra shot in a large ceramic cup. The bathroom here is clean and I never encountered a line.

Good Food from salads, starters, to artisan style, neapolitan sourdough pizza. Everything is delicious! They have a daily specials menu to choose from as well as their regular menu. Service is always friendly upon arrival and they are helpful throughout your dining. Ambiance is casual. Great place to have small special family events or group party celebrations. Recommend if in Upcountry Maui and looking for an Italian restaurant. Reservations available on line.

Super chill lunch spot after our bike ride through Makawao and Paia. The pizza was honestly some of the best I had, the dough was so good. Cocktails were so fresh, and service was also great. Totally recommend if you're in the area.

I love marlow. Have never had a bad experience here. This time we put stopped after the farmers market for lunch. We're seated quickly right around the time their dining room opened (11a). Their chopped salad is good, their potato pizza is good, and their veg of the day was DELICIOUS! Beware, the jalapeño romesco is quite spicy but it's so delicious.

I was on Maui to help out at a big Yelp Elite Event, and many MANY local Yelpers told me I must take the journey to the Upcountry and order a pizza from Marlow. So, of course, I obliged! But first, I stopped at Mahalo Aleworks next door, as I wasn't quite ready for lunch yet. I was excited to find out that I could order a pizza to go from Marlow and eat it at the brewery. It was hard to decide what to get, but it looked like their Fungi Pizza was a popular choice so I grabbed one and waited while I finished my beer. It took awhile, but was well worth the wait. The pizza was phenomenal. Hot, cheesy, and covered in tender mushrooms. It needed nothing, as it was the perfect slice on its own. My only regret is that they don't make a "small" size as this pie was HUGE and could have fed an army. I was only inside actual Marlow for a few minutes while I picked up my pizza, but I loved its quaint, rustic vibe. It was full of people and there was a waitlist - if you go in person, I recommend getting there early (or enjoying it from next door as I did). They also have some tasty-sounding non-pizza options. I'm still regretting not trying the meatballs!

Went here about a week ago and was happy we did. We were not sure where we wanted to go because it was a dark and stormy night upcountry. Then we remembered Marlow was open so we decided to try them out as I have not been there in about a year. We did not have reservations so we did a walk in and they were able to accommodated us quickly. I would recommend reservations as they were busy. Our server came over very quickly and he was great. They had the usual menu but also had some food and drink specials. It was dated for that night so im not sure how often they do the specials but they looked good. We decided to go with the Braised pork pizza which comes with lilikoi butter on it. So good ! We also ordered the Mafaldine Bolognese pasta. Also so good ! My other half had a bottled Coke and I had a Black Cherry Manhattan. I enjoyed it my guest said it tasted like medicine. In my opinion it was good medicine. I enjoyed it and it went perfectly with dinner. Overall a very nice experience. I would definitely recommend Marlowe for dinner and I will be going back to try some of the other menu offerings.

Here's what I don't like: They use VIP produce and other commercially grown, and flown in ingredients instead of sourcing locally, and their prices are too high to reflect this. The taste absolutely reflects this and if you know the difference, you taste the difference (yuck). Another competitive restaurant upcountry, Marlow, uses exclusively locally grown and sourced produce with exceptional quality, taste and execution, around the same price point. It is a no brainer for me; the taste, quality, and value are superior at later mentioned restaurant. Kula Bistro is over hyped and over priced, but in a pinch, we appreciate the convenience.

This restaurant is located in a shopping center in Pukalani. The inside has a place to order along with a cooler and a display case full of baked goods. There is seating throughout the rest of the space with five four tops and bar seating for about seven more. For dinner on this evening I decided to go with the loco moco while my dad went with the Big Kahuna. The menu described mine as three hamburger patties smothered with house made brown gravy and topped with two eggs, and my dad's as a combo plate of mochiko chicken, hamburger steak, and Asian crusted ono. After placing our order they quoted us 15 to 20 minutes, so we sat at an empty table and waited. It only took about 10 minutes before our food was ready and we sat down to eat. As soon as my dad opened his meal I have to admit that I was jealous as it looked great. Thankfully my meal was absolutely amazing. The brown gravy was legit with a ton of flavor and I could not stop eating it. The burger patties were hot and seasoned well. The mac salad was also really good. My only complaint would be that the rice was a little sticky and made it hard to get everything out of the container. I was also able to try some of my dad's mochiko chicken and the breading had great flavor while the chicken inside was moist and juicy. My dad enjoyed everything on his plate as well, especially the ono. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. As a matter of fact, the next time my wife is on Maui with me this will be one of our first stops because that gravy was fantastic.

The drive to the restaurant along curvy roads and tall, shady trees was enchanting. I'd heard the views from the restaurant were spectacular, and the unique outdoor canvas-covered "gazebos" added to its charm. Our party of four chose to eat under one of the outdoor gazebos. We ordered four morning cocktails: a Bloody Mary, $12, 2 Maui Mosas, $18, and a Kona Longboard, $9. Our entrees were the Upcountry Quiche, $27, Roasted Kabocha Squash, $28, Mochiko Chicken & Waffles, $30, and the Garlic Prawn Pizza, $30. While we waited for our food, we took the time to wander the beautiful botanical garden grounds and pathways. When our food did arrive, there was only one glitch. Instead of the Garlic Prawn Pizza, we received a different shrimp entree, which looked fantastic...but it wasn't what we ordered. They apologized and went to prepare the pizza. The food was delicious, and portions were big, so we definitely had leftovers. Overall, I am so glad we finally made it to Kula Lodge. Unfortunately, just 3 weeks after our visit, Kula Lodge suffered from a restaurant fire. I am absolutely positive they will re-open again. In the meantime, come support their Kula Marketplace, which is a wonderful gift shop, adjacent to the restaurant, and untouched by the fire. They need your support!!! I will definitely return!
