I don't understand how anyone could give this place anything less than 5 stars. The food is fantastic, especially the local family atmosphere. From the younger generation to the older aunties and uncles, the vibe feels so welcoming and cool. Located in one of Maui's older neighborhoods, this spot is also a great excuse to venture out and explore the charm of the town. It feels authentic and full of character. I ordered the garlic fried shrimp Caesar salad and it was amazing. The shrimp were cooked perfectly with a crispy, flavorful coating, and every bite had the perfect crunch from the fresh lettuce and fried shrimp together. Brought friends here who chose the Sistah's taro and ulu burger that was topped with peppery radish sprouts, a lush tomato slice and a face-sized piece of lettuce. Very nice space - bright, open and lots of light. There is also outdoor seating also. Staff was very friendly but our waitress didn't really expand on the menu. Just took the order and didn't make any suggestions. It was okay though however now we know for next time. Pricing is a little higher than other local eateries but for the ambiance and seasonal dishes, it makes sense. Now for the food. The Loco Moco was amazing. My husband requested regular rice and the hamburger that covered the rice...covered the whole rice. Not just the top but all the way tonight the edge of the rice. Every mouthful mmmmmm. The "brown gravy" was a mushroom demi-glace and the flavor was deep and so so flavorful. Came on a Thursday morning with 3 people around 10a and got sat right away. I ordered the loco moco- hamburger was season and cooked well with the spam fried rice upgrade. One of my favorite Brunch spot on island hands down! Anything on the menu doesn't disappoint! Chef Marc and his team give exceptional service while spotlighting their restaurant with delicious local ingredients. With his restaurant being situated on 62 Market Street, he also rotates his menu every 62 days according to the season so you get the best of what Maui has to offer. I always start off with their Freshly brewed Iced Tea which was Mango Lemongrass. My friend got the Soup of the Day which was a delicious combination of carrot, ginger, turmeric and coconut milk topped with a little crostini and micro greens. Our table had a variety of food. I LOVE their Quiche of the Day which was a Turkey Pot Pie that had fresh carrot, onion, mushroom and turkey in this soft custard egg and flaky crust with fresh fruit and House Potatoes. My friend always enjoys their Maui Cattle Loco Moco on top white rice and a Wild Mushroom Demi Glaze, a go to Hawaiian staple. The table also got the Signature Crab Cake Eggs Benedict that had a cornbread, bacon, poached eggs and a Lemon Truffle Hollandaise sauce. We all shared the Sweet Crepes which was Tiramisu. A perfect balance of sweetness! I always leave the restaurant feeling a "good, healthy" kind of full knowing all the food I ate was tasty and yet nourishing. It is insane how horrible the service here is. We were at the borderline of walking out and as soon as we were about to walk out suddenly my food out... They were getting to other people that came in AFTER US before us. I'm not even sure what my servers name was because she didn't even bother to introduce herself, all i know is that she was wearing a hat. There were fly's inside trying to get onto our food, server didn't check up on us once, she never brought out my drink, didn't bring salt or pepper or even bothered to ask if we wanted any. when we tried to leave she told us that we still had to pay for everything even if we hadn't ate it, when she brought out food out we were already at the entrance trying to leave. This is a very consistent restaurant with good food and friendly service. There's local artwork on the walls and the place is always inviting . My partner had the quiche with a fruit salad and it was really tasty I had mango and blueberries and strawberries on the side. I had the rainbow poke bowl, which was a combination ahi beets, quinoa, sunflower, sprouts, which is a signature of theirs. The servers were helped by the owner who acted as the food runner today. I love the concept of this place! The menu changes every 62 days to keep with seasonal offerings of local farms. So very cool and it keeps you wanting to come back to either have something amazing you had again before it leaves the menu or to try something new each time the menu changes. I highly recommend making an online reservation as it gets really busy. Our server the other day was fantastic. Although super busy, she made stops for refills and check ins at regular intervals. Food was beautifully plated and delicious. The only thing we wanted was some cream or something in the middle of the sweet crepe. I never really eat brunch as I'm more of a lunch person but there were alot of unique menu items so I wanted to give this place a try. This might be the best ube mochi pancake I've ever had! The outside layer is crispy and the inside is delightfully fluffy and chewy. The coconut syrup wasn't too sweet. So we ate here a few days ago and it was nice. It was pretty windy out that day but where the restaurant is located it is a little sheltered as they have an outdoor patio or the inside of the restaurant. When we arrived they had half of the restaurant full. Out waitress came by our table pretty quickly and got us some coffee while we looked at the menu. We have been here several times before so we know most of what is offered on the menu but we just wanted to see if there were any new offerings. We ended up ordering the loco moco with eggs over easy and crabcake eggs Benedict. Both were good. I feel like not as good as previous visits but pretty good the crab tasted a little old not bad but just a little old. The service was amazing our waitress did an amazing job as far as the decor it is nice but hasn't changed much from our prior visits. Well kept clean and still looks good. Overall I definitely will be back to try more of the delicious food. I personally like the waffles but wanted to try something different next time I will go with my first choice as those are always amazing. So stop by and check these guys out. read more

Wonderful meal and absolutely worth the trip into Wailuku! I admit that I often hesitate to go to Wailuku because the parking can be limited. No worries--there is street parking, but if that is full there is a parking lot behind this restaurant and a parking garage across the street. You won't wind up driving around for half an hour. We had a late breakfast reservation and were immediately seated. We quickly noticed that the young woman who seated us was doing it all: bringing drinks and menus, taking orders, delivering orders, and seating the steady stream of people coming to the restaurant. She did it all with a smile and good cheer. My husband and I ordered the savory crepes and stuffed French toast, so we could share back and forth. Both were wonderful! The French toast is a light brioche-type bread and it is filled with berry cream cheese. I was worried it would be overly sweet, but it was light and flavorful. The crepes were chicken, tomato, and basil with a pesto cream. The flavors were well-balanced. Again, it was flavorful, but not overpowering. Fyi, the restaurant is located on a one way street. We arrived shortly after they opened at 8:00am. The friendly hostess warmly greeted us and seated us immediately. The restaurant is very spacious and open, and seating is spread out on a smaller upper level and larger lower level. The breakfast menu has a decent variety of items to choose from. In the end I chose the frittata, and my friends ordered the short rib Benedict and turkey hash, respectively. We all enjoyed our food. The frittata had a healthy mix of protein, vegetables, and cheese. My only critique would be that I would have preferred to butter my toast instead of it already being done. IMHO, I think the standout of our breakfast trio was the short rib Benedict. It was quite delicious. Coffee refills were readily given. SERVICE Our server as a friendly young lady. She was very patient while her decided on our order, and expertly answered all our questions about the menu. side NOTE Though we all enjoyed the food, we all agreed the portions were a bit small. I would rate this breakfast spot as one of my all time TOP favorite breakfast spot. We had the stuffed brioche french toast and the mango sago crepes. Both of them are absolutely gem. However, I hate to say it - personal taste - the 62 specialty iced tea is kinda mid to me. Overrall, great service - quick anecdote: it was 8ish in the morning. The server was explaining to me the flavor of the specialty iced tea. My foggy brain literally thought she was asking me which flavor I wanted, so I just dumbfolded looking at her. She understood my confusion very quickly and clarified that she was simply explaining and gave a heart laugh. Little things like that - I really appreciate, especially I am not a morning person :). This place is busy as ever as well as the street parking situation. We came here on a Monday morning (around 10:30ish) and the wait was still an hour. When we got in, we got seated outside in the alley which was kind of nice since it wasn't too hot at the time. We ordered a Crab and Corn Omelette, the Signature Mango Crab Cake Eggs Benedict, and the Sunrise Papaya. Everything came out in about 10 minutes and it was all delicious. The Papaya with the strawberries and yogurt felt so healthy but still had good sweetness. The omelette was solid, not too much crab but great flavor. It's my favorite place to eat breakfast, brunch, or lunch in Wailuku town, hands down, because I know whatever I order will be fresh, delicious, seasonal, and made with as many locally sourced ingredients as possible. The only downside is having to choose between the many tempting breakfast options (available all day) or the varied lunch menu offerings, and it always takes me a while to decide. Chef Marc McDowell brings unique passion, creativity, and experience to the table, and every dish is beautiful as well as delicious. The seasonal menu changes roughly every 2 months, and I always enjoy seeing what Marc comes up with each time. The indoor seating is nicely spaced and has good air circulation. Weather permitting, outdoor seating is also available. Reservations are suggested but not required. The original place we were planning to go was closed, so by the time we got here, we only had about 30 minutes to order, eat, and leave. Our waitress was super nice and helpful when she found out we were in a rush. I had the sunrise papaya and the loco moco (replaced with spam fried rice) to share. The flavor of the loco moco was pretty good. I personally thought the rice was too salty, but spam is always too salty for me - it was perfect for my bf though. I would say that this is #2 on my list for best loco moco I've tried on the island in terms of the overall taste, quality, personal preference. As for the sunrise papaya, I really enjoyed it! Soooo happy we chose this place on the last day of our trip from breakfast. The corned beef and cabbage hash was DELICIOUS. Everyone's eggs looked fluffy and delicious. I love that their ingredients are locally sourced so we are being ethical with our business as well. HIGHLY recommend. The waitress, Shayna, was very charismatic and fantastic in her service. I'm not an egg's Benedict fan but she did let me take a bite of her shrimp patty and potatoes and sauce and she was not wrong it was DELICIOUS. I feel crazy reading all of these 5-star reviews. The food we had here today, 11/18/2025 was just terrible and has put me in a foul mood for the rest of the day. Nothing worse than spending money on bad food after looking forward to a nice treat out, and this was to be my mother's last meal on Maui. First, and worst, the fish taco's with "Fresh catch Mahi Mahi" was totally with out seasoning, aka bland and flavorless, unless you count the taste of on-the-verge-of-rancid-old fish. Yup. Rancid. Old. Bad. Not fresh. My mom who was starving, ate what she could but I finally noticed her face and took a bite, and without saying another word, pushed it to the side. The slaw on the tacos was also without any seasoning (heard of salt guys?) and totally minimal. Swapped out the UBE tortillas (what's with this trend I can't get away from fast enough) for plain corn tortillas and with a side of totally average potato salad, heavy on the grainy mustard, and again, no discernible use of salt or seasoning beyond the mustard. A total miss, total wreckage and I just pray my 80 year old mother doesnt get sick to her stomach this afternoon. ( She is way too polite to complain, the whole thing was really uncomfortable for her. ) My $29 dollar poke bowl was another joke. Plain, unseasoned quinoa with the smallest amount of plain, unseasoned kabocha pumpkin smash mixed in for color I suppose, since it did nothing for flavor or fulfillment, the smallest little slivers of cucumber I've ever seen, unseasoned, itsy bitsy cubes of unseasoned red beet, old brown avocado, and small diced, small portion of undoubtedly unfresh ahi, which wasn't rancid, and that's about the nicest thing I can say about this dish, unseasoned. And topped with a minimal amount of sunflower sprouts. This poke dish could not possibly have been conceived by anyone from this island, or anyone with a palate for flavor, or with sensibility about what makes an excellent poke bowl; flavor, large bites of fish, fresh plentiful vegetables for balance, texture, and satisfaction.... and again, some sort of sauce or seasoning. Heard of shoyu, onion, green onions to start? Salt? When I asked for some sauce on the side, they brought me teriyaki sauce, what a joke! Husband seemed to enjoy his fried chicken sandwich, and daughter her bubble waffle and spam on the side. So there is that. One of the employees keeps a dog in a service dog vest in the alleyway that constitutes their 'outdoor seating.' She is a sweet girl, no doubt, but she doesn't belong there, pulling at the patrons heart strings, or looking longingly at the food on our plates or roaming between tables, with her master occasionally sticking his head out to reprimand her. Maybe it was just a weird day at this 'highly rated' venue, but I would personally never come back or recommend. The value is absolutley not there. read more

It's a cute open air place with indoor and outdoor seating. Lots of natural light. It is a bi-level establishment with some stairs. We were seated at a lovely table for six a few minutes after checking in for our Sunday brunch reservation. Waters all around were delivered immediately and coffee and beverage orders were taken. Everything on the menu sounded delicious. A few of us decided to order family style and share so we could taste it all. Frittata, stuffed french toast, mahimahi & risotto and locomoco was family style. Bacon cheese burger, biscuits sandwich and ahi tacos were ordered by others in our party.
