Had to come here for the first breakfast in Maui and it was a 10/10¡ Husband loves Eggs Benedict and picked the Kalua Eggs Benedict. Portion size of the pork was actually really large which was quite good. I'm not usually a pork person, so I'm not the best judge, but he loved it! Buttermilk pancakes with banana and macadamia nuts - 10/10! Such super fluffy pancakes and They actually went so well with the bananas and macadamia nuts! I'm not usually a banana or macadamia person, but honestly this combination was delicious! Got some Grilled chicken breast on the side for protein - Nice that they had this option of getting just plain protein on the side. Also got their daily special coconut something coffee! Our eyes and stomachs ordered before our brains did, so even though we went family-style for every meal during this trip, for some reason we made our last one hefty and all ordered our own portion. A big happy mistake, I'd call it. We all really liked what we ordered and even got an extra portion of banana macadamia pancakes to share, so needless to say we had some leftovers. The line was out the door but moved pretty quickly and we were able to snatch up a big enough table right away but there are employees that will help seat you when they can. They also had some tres leches cake samples on the side at the register for you to try, but maybe for that specific one they can try out a new method because it was just pieces on toothpicks. And if you know anything about a good tres leches, you'd know it was drenched and so it was inpossible to pick up with a toothpick I imagine it tasted amazing though read more

Solid breakfast and lunch joint for locals and tourists alike. They have all the classics and some brunch specials on Sat and Sun. Hurry on the weekend before they sell out on the specials. They only provide 1 refill on coffee and sodas (no refills on lemonade), but you'll need to go to the counter if you want a refill. The outdoor dining area is spacious and very scenic. You order and they announce your name and bring it to your table Cons: 1. Food was ok, nothing to rave about. Had the mochi pancakes and they were drenched in oil. I couldn't eat anything for the rest of the day as it was hard to digest. Looked nice but not at all pleasant to eat. 2. Drinks weren't called and when I went to check on them, they had been sitting on the outer with ice melting. 3. Eggs with bacon were ok, again nothing to rave about. Listen for your name and the staff will deliver your food to your table. Great food and fast service all around. Both locations are right off of S Kīhei Rd. You'll find one in the Kīhei Kalama Village with outdoor seating and the other at the Maui Coast Hotel both indoor and outdoor seating. Different vibes but try them both! Thank you Yelpers for the reviews here. Motivated to get out for breakfast, we got here around noon and enjoyed a filling meal of Kahlua pork Benedict and corned beef hash. Nice to have a warm biscuit with butter and the delicious coconut syrup on the table. Very flakey and so yummy. The corned beef has bits of crispiness on the edges and a good ratio of potatoes. Just right. My over easy eggs were cooked perfectly, their version of potato chips is fun and again, the biscuit if very good. Hubby really enjoyed his Benedict with its generous portion of meat and perfectly cooked poached eggs. Parking is easy across the street and this is definitely a place to come back to! Granted we came in at 11 but it was rushed and brusque, even when they made a mistake with our order. Kihei Caffe was an amazing brunch spot. Parking was easy as it is in a shared lot with other vendors. The line was pretty long when we arrived around 8:30 AM but it is definitely worth the wait. The lines gets cut off into two segments and the waiter will motion you through to the first part of the line once it's your turn. You then make your way into the restaurant to place your order. There are specific instructions posted as to how to place your order and the server will also guide you through the process. We ordered the creamy ube coffee, macadamia nut coffee, ube mochi pancakes, loco moco with black angus beef, over easy eggs, and fried rice, and a side of fresh corned beef hash. After ordering, you pick up your drinks and the servers outside will guide you to your table. Both coffees tasted great. It was nice to try these flavors here that we otherwise don't commonly see outside of Hawaii. My wife really enjoyed the ube mochi pancakes. I enjoyed the loco moco. The gravy was flavorful and substituting for fried rice was well worth it. The side of fresh corned beef hash was also very tasty. We would recommend getting these dishes! Then they moved us inside, where there were tiny bugs that I think were mosquitoes. Not a fan that they charge for water, which is $2 and comes room temperature! This cafe was very busy when we arrived, and the host showed us to a table that accommodated my wheel chair as soon as we got there. We were only given one menu and waited 20 minutes before we realized there was a sign up saying to "order inside." So inside my partner went to order our breakfast. Kihei Caffe has been part of my Maui memories since I was about 12 years old. I am now 33, and every single time I return to the island, I make it a point to stop here for a cinnamon roll. The lines are almost always long, but it is absolutely worth the wait and they move fairly quickly. The cinnamon rolls are epic. Do not skip one, even if you have to grab it to go. They are that good. I also love the parfait and the use of local fruit. It is such a fresh and perfect way to start the morning before heading out on a big adventure. The staff is always very sweet, and the location right across from the beach makes it even better. I cannot remember if it is still cash only, but I would recommend bringing cash just in case. And amount of meat that's presented is ridiculous, more onions than meat. This is by far the worse food we've ever had in Hawaii to even think this is the 4th time we've visited the Island. The gravy is somewhat made from a store bought packet. Banana macademia nut french toast- this one is tolerable. It's big and shareable. You need to drizzle it with coconut syrup. Ube cold brewed coffee- I have to say this is the one I enjoyed and have no complaints. The ube flavor is bold, but smooth. I give this 5 star. Went to try Kihei Caffe after reading many reviews about it. As far as the location goes, it's easy to find. There's not that many seats, but you can actually sit on the other side of the restaurant. Believe it belongs to another restaurant, but we heard the server tell some guests it would be okay for them to sit there. We both ordered the loco moco for the Hawaiian breakfast. We ordered one loco moco with the burger patty and sunny side up with regular rice, and we ordered another but substituted the white rice to fried rice (+$3). They charge a 3% if you use credit card, and they don't accept Amex. Bring cash if you want to save a few bucks. The portion was generous. It was definitely salty if you had it with the fried rice. It was much better with the white rice, as it balanced the saltiness. I think it definitely has the Hawaiian vibe, chicken running around and stuff. But would we come back for the food is another question. But glad we got to try it! read more

Kihei Caffe at Maui Coast Hotel has long been one of our favorite spots for an early breakfast. We were excited to bring our nieces here while they were visiting us in Maui. We ordered at the front counter -- chicken and waffles, fried chicken steak with gravy, eggs Benedict, and French toast with bananas. After finding our seats, the food was delivered at a fairly slower pace. The chicken and waffles portion was enormous, which we appreciated. However, both the chicken and the waffle were unfortunately served cold. The rest of the dishes were perfectly balanced and absolutely delicious. Four years ago, I would've told you Kihei Caffe had the best loco moco on the islands. This time, I came back after a whale watching tour, excited to repeat that win. I ordered the loco moco again, and my wife got the fish tacos. We were unreasonably optimistic The loco moco was a letdown on multiple levels. The rice tasted at least one day old, maybe more. You can feel it in the texture. The patty had that cooked-from-frozen quality, again obvious in both texture and meat flavor. The gravy was standard, which is faint praise here. At $~22, it wasn't just disappointing, it felt careless The fish tacos were worse. My wife called them the worst she's ever had. The fish came chopped up like scraps, and the flavor was thin. The preparation felt rushed and incomplete. At $~28, it wasn't even close to worth it Will not be back, and will no longer be telling people this is the best loco on the islands. Prior experiences have only been for the location in Lahaina. The Kihei location wasn't as in Lahaina. Arrived at 7am (not busy at all and they've been ooen 1 hour already). Ordered a simple breakfast #1 (one egg, meat, potatoes, biscuit). Nithing ruins breakfast like an ice cold over easy egg. "Nit an exaggeration, the egg yolk was still refrigerator cold. We asked the table service person (since there are no wait persons after "order, pay, tip, take a table" process) that the eggs in both meals had super cold yolks (salmonella?). He graciously brought back 2 more over easy eggs that were just slightly luke warm. The give! Ate my mac pancake, potatoes, meat, and biscuit & left. Won't be returning. read more

We got tons of recommendation to try out this place when we come to Maui. This did not disappoint, best breakfast places I've ever had!! My boyfriend got the prime rib loco moco and updated to the pork rice which was a special. The gravy really hits differently in Hawaii (we are from Vegas). I got the pork fried rice and eggs. My god, it was so good. And they gave a pretty big serving, I couldn't finish all my food. My overeasy eggs were just perfect. We also got a side of buttermilk pancakes.
