I noticed several employees in Pint & Cork shirts moving around the restaurant, but only saw a couple of servers actively covering the dining area. It's possible some staff were assigned to bartending or other responsibilities, but from the guest perspective it gave the impression that table service was understaffed while other employees appeared unavailable. I still think there is room for improvement in the flow and logistics on the floor, but I appreciate the owner's willingness to engage with feedback and explain the circumstances. We came in on a Monday afternoon for Knicks vs Spurs Game 3, grabbed seats in the bar area, and had no trouble finding a good view, there are plenty of TVs throughout. The service was good and the Ahi Katsu Hurricane Plate was a pleasant surprise, tasty and satisfying. The Tropical Dream Mocktail was a fun choice to go along with it. We have been coming to Pint and Cork every year when we visit Maui. It's always been good food and good service. Today we did not have either one. While our waitress was polite, she was not very attentive and only checked in on us twice the entire time we were there. While we were the only ones there other than a couple of patrons at the bar, our waitress did not come take our drink, orders or food orders for 10 minutes my husband and I each ordered one slider and the garlic Parmesan fries off of the happy hour menu. My husband's slider came out first, about five minutes later the fries came out and then about five minutes later my slider came out. Had they been busy I could see it taking a while for us to get our food. However, we were the only ones waiting for food and there's no reason to not get all of our food at one time. Came here initially for happy hour, its one of the more.. reasonably priced places to eat out at if you're staying in the area. They have good HH deals & their fries were loaded (see the pic). Also their food was pretty good, I recommend trying any of their sliders. Good amount of seating inside & a few tables outside. I came back again for HH drinks the next day & they loaded my dirty martini w/ extra olives(4), which was so so so kind of them. Absolutely the worst meal we have had on Maui. It's pretty obvious they are catering to folks that don't venture out from the resorts. Located right in The Shops is a fun sports bar to grab food and drinks. The staff were very friendly and always made sure to check in with us every time they brought us a dish. Each dish comes out as it is completed which means you could be eating one dish and the next one would be delivered to you at any given time. It was nice to know that the freshness was there because you'd really bite into some piping out food. Each dish was delicious and definitely and is excited for the next dish to arrive. We visited three times and it was hit or miss. We were seated quickly each time (without reservations), and part of their patio is under cover which was great since we were there on the heels of the Kona storm and there were still some light showers. The drinks were good, and I liked my blackened bleu steak salad. My 13yo son ordered the burger twice; the first time it was good but the second time it was over-cooked and dry. I wanted to love the soft pretzel bites as I heard another table raving about them, but ours must have been in there too long because they were dry and a bit tough by the time they got to us. They don't use heat lamps which is refreshing, just know that means the food comes out as it's ready. On one of our visits, my son only had 2 bites of his burger left by the time my salad arrived, so he just sat there while I ate. It was fine for us but may be tricky with younger kiddos. We ordered a side of the mac and cheese one of the evenings and that was our favorite of all the dishes we tried there. It was just a 10 minute walk from our hotel at Grand Wailea but there is a parking lot, and it's located in an outdoor mall which is perfect to explore while waiting for a table or for some after-dinner shopping.
