Fried rice - I believe it had portuguese sausage, spam, and some other protein
Lisa D.

Our eyes and stomachs ordered before our brains did, so even though we went family-style for every meal during this trip, for some reason we made our last one hefty and all ordered our own portion. A big happy mistake, I'd call it. We all really liked what we ordered and even got an extra portion of banana macadamia pancakes to share, so needless to say we had some leftovers. The line was out the door but moved pretty quickly and we were able to snatch up a big enough table right away but there are employees that will help seat you when they can. They also had some tres leches cake samples on the side at the register for you to try, but maybe for that specific one they can try out a new method because it was just pieces on toothpicks. And if you know anything about a good tres leches, you'd know it was drenched and so it was inpossible to pick up with a toothpick I imagine it tasted amazing though

I couldn't get enough of the catfish and breakfast potatoes. Went here three days because it was so yummy. We were lucky enough not to have to wait in the super long line that forms at this place. You HAVE to try this spot

Solid breakfast and lunch joint for locals and tourists alike. They have all the classics and some brunch specials on Sat and Sun. Hurry on the weekend before they sell out on the specials. They only provide 1 refill on coffee and sodas (no refills on lemonade), but you'll need to go to the counter if you want a refill. The outdoor dining area is spacious and very scenic. Overall, 4 out of 5 due to some dishes not worth the squeeze.

Always amazing they take credit and debt card now . Food is always so good. Cute atmosphere with chickens .

After reading all the raving reviews, I was excited to try this for breakfast. Pros: 1. Plenty of parking nearby 2. Line moves fast. You order and they announce your name and bring it to your table Cons: 1. Food was ok, nothing to rave about. Had the mochi pancakes and they were drenched in oil. I couldn't eat anything for the rest of the day as it was hard to digest. Looked nice but not at all pleasant to eat. 2. Drinks weren't called and when I went to check on them, they had been sitting on the outer with ice melting. 3. Eggs with bacon were ok, again nothing to rave about. I think they are used to being a popular touristy place and quality doesn't hold up. I wouldn't be coming back.

Nalu's South Shore Grill never disappoints on any day, but especially this special night celebrating birthdays! Friendly and Kind Service, Pono Food that brings your pallet alive and wants you returning for more, inviting atmosphere, Best Live Music. Love the Aloha here that always brings us back for more. We love coming to a place where everyone makes you feel like Ohana

I've tried both locations on my latest trip. The ordering process is pretty much the same. Stand in line to order, then grab an empty seat. Listen for your name and the staff will deliver your food to your table. Great food and fast service all around. Both locations are right off of S Kīhei Rd. You'll find one in the Kīhei Kalama Village with outdoor seating and the other at the Maui Coast Hotel both indoor and outdoor seating. Different vibes but try them both! Seafood Omelette Special - Cheesy shrimp, crab and green onion omelette smothered sauce with pork sausage. Loco Moco - Traditional Hawaiian Breakfast. Two eggs any style and choice of 1/2 Ib Black Angus beef burger patty with steamed white rice covered in brown gravy.

Service was so fast and the food was just as delicious as the pictures make it look. We got the pancakes and the loco moco and both were very tasty. Definitely go here while you're in Maui.

There is a line in the mornings, but it moves fairly quickly. They try to seat you right away after you order. The food was great, no complaints!

Looking forward to brunch!

Thank you Yelpers for the reviews here. Motivated to get out for breakfast, we got here around noon and enjoyed a filling meal of Kahlua pork Benedict and corned beef hash. Nice to have a warm biscuit with butter and the delicious coconut syrup on the table. Very flakey and so yummy. The corned beef has bits of crispiness on the edges and a good ratio of potatoes. Just right. My over easy eggs were cooked perfectly, their version of potato chips is fun and again, the biscuit if very good. Hubby really enjoyed his Benedict with its generous portion of meat and perfectly cooked poached eggs. Parking is easy across the street and this is definitely a place to come back to! You order first and then sit down is all you need to know.

Veryyy busy, but it's the island's go-to spot for breakfast for mosts. They have plenty of options for traditional American breakfasts or local options - we got a Loco Moco which is a staple. Great portion size!

Kihei Caffe is a clear popular spot. That said, despite long lines, it moves quickly! The food is made quickly and seating (which is predominantly outdoor) faces the beach. Overall a decent spot, you can't go wrong! Taste: 4/5 Service: 3/5 Ambiance: 3.5/5 Value for money: 4/5 We had: 1) Kalua pork loco moco and 2) breakfast burrito - both solid!

As soon as they open

What is in the Ube cold brew latte (besides Ube)?

Do you offer dairy-free pancakes?

I really don't know. I'm lactose intolerant and I ate their pancakes and didn't irritate my stomach at all. All bodies are not the same however Thts based off my experience

Is a reservation needed?

No reservations accepted.

So excited you opened on the west side!!!! Will you have your fabulous cinnamon rolls? 🤞🏻❤️💕

They sure do!

Do they accept credit cards?

Cash only, but they have an atm inside.

Any gluten free pancakes or waffles?

I didn't notice any, but heads up ...they use canned pineapple on their waffles! Nalu's had better food, call them, they are friendly there too!

Do the macadamia pancakes contain any milk or traces of milk (butter, etc)?

It contains butter

Is takeout available?

Absolutely. They are super quick and very good about it too.

Walked in before 5:00pm with no reservation for a party of four. Well, that was a mistake. Despite idle wait staff and maybe only five occupied tables out of 20-30 total they made us wait for about a half hour. The reason was other people made reservations and were expected. When they finally sat our party the restaurant was still 2/3 empty. There was really no reason to keep us waiting that i could see. When you see someone in the party is disabled and using assistive devices you should be more accommodating. It kind of felt like we were being punished for not having a reservation. Also, expect a 3% service charge for the back of the house. Really, for the prices they charge for mahi fragments you could pay those people without a surcharge. Portions here are tiny. My mahi fragments were dry, over spiced and served with two unseasoned baby bok choi leaves and a slice of grilled tomato. For the price of almost $40.00. The beer was good and so was our server so they got one star for that. Otherwise, this place is touristy, overpriced and the maitre d' is slow on the uptake. Overall, there are plenty of great restaurants on Maui, recommend you try one of those.

Unfortunately, our waitress never checked back to ask how the drinks were. On a positive note, the food was enjoyable. I really like that I can select from the old world German Artisan collection and the Hawaiian Artisan baked goods. I snagged the Isabelle, a loaf of bread made of spelt (dinkel wheat, high in protein, fiber, and antioxidants) and rolled in an assortment of seeds. The texture is soft and the crust is slightly chewy. Just right and the taste is very satisfying. I can't bring myself to putting a slice into the toaster, though, because I don't want to risk losing any of the seeds. I'll be fine with the broiler and some butter. I also went for the Hawaiian Bread. Just thinking about it makes my mouth water. It has pineapple, toasted coconut and tiny soft raisins. The bread is moist from the pineapple juice and the loaves are small. I could finish one off in a setting but I resisted the urge. I also bought extras for sharing and had to pass them out quickly before temptation called. I'll return soon.

Basically they cut the croissant in half, filled in the cream and put the top back. Odd. Better between the two. Might be too sweet for some. Prices are higher than other places. I don't think you'll find anything subpar. Seems like good offerings.

Working in customer service means you don't let a bad day trickle down to your guests, and unfortunately, that's exactly how this experience felt. As for the food, it was just okay--nothing memorable. What really stood out (in a bad way) was the pricing. Charging $17 for a burger and then an additional $5 just to add lettuce and tomato feels like nickel-and-diming customers. At that point, just price the burger at $22 and be upfront about it--it's a much better experience than feeling upcharged for basic toppings. Overall, between the poor service and questionable pricing, I won't be returning anytime soon. Hopefully they can make improvements, especially when it comes to customer service.

I had them bring a cup of soup out to start along with my wife's coffee. Gotta be honest--when I dipped my spoon in, I was already judging. Looked kinda thin, not creamy like other mushroom soups I've had. I was thinking, "Ahh here we go." Took one spoonful and immediately had to humble myself. That soup was money. Like, stop-talking-and-just-eat. My wife tried it and confirmed that this soup was "winnahs" . Deep mushroom flavor with the right amount of seasoning. It also came with a little piece of focaccia toast which I would have really enjoyed but had to take my wife's word for it since she ate um all . Should've ordered the bowl. Rookie mistake. For my main, I went with the original eggs Benedict. Portions were a little on the small side, but with the roasted potatoes, I was good. Didn't leave hungry, didn't need to loosen the belt--perfect middle ground. My wife got the strawberry waffles and yeah... those were legit. She's not a syrup person, so she asked for more whipped cream. The waitress comes back with a little mountain of whipped cream in the little silver ramekin. All in all, solid spot.
