World Famous Coconut Shrimp

Nice bar and restaurant located in the shops of Wailea. Welcome and friendly staff surrounded by typical Tommy Bahama decor. There is bar seating and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The food is tasty and filling and they will spit dishes for two people to share. They have live music on the weekends creating a nice. Relaxing ambiance to enjoy a meal, some drinks and a few laughs with friends and family!

We love this spot in Wailea. It is located in the shopping center- easy to get to from my hotels. We love walking over for happy hour. They have great deals on their drinks, fish tacos and sliders. They also take $5 off all other appetizers. It's in the bar area only. Bartenders are so friendly. I had some odd dietary restrictions this visit and they were so accommodating. It was the only place I could eat out safely. Mahalo for the experience

1/24/26 OmG! One of the best lunches I have ever had! Ironically we were in the area to go to another spot but we were 1 minute too late (literally). So we decided to hit Tommy Bahama. And I am so glad we did. My friend raved about the Crab-Avocado Salad but then we spotted the Waygu Beef Dip, and with our bartender's ( John) suggestion we split the 2. A great decision! The Waygu Beef Dip was excellent! Tender, juicy and full of flavor on a nice toasted Roll, served with a Horseradish Cream that really complemented the sandwich. I was a little disappointed that the Fries were of the frozen variety and were not even seasoned. The Crab-Avocado Salad was fantastic! Very simplistic but delicious. Tender Lump Crab paired with Avocado, Feta, Red Onion, Greens and a rather tasty Lime Vinaigrette. I fully recommend this place for some seriously tasty eats!

Parmesan-Crusted Sanibel Chicken

Tommy's never disappoints. The staff is always exceptional and the seafood is as fresh as it gets. The deck was shaded and airy. We had two of the specials and both were great. We started off with the crab bisque and some chips with salsa and guacamole. My daughter had the Parmesan crusted Sanibel chicken and I had the seafood nasi goreng with the grilled lobster tail. Everything was cooked perfectly and was brought out to the table hot. We also had some of their lobster spring rolls. Also very good. These restaurants are quite consistent across the country. Never had a mediocre meal at any of the several that we have tried.

Chilean Sea Bass

We really enjoyed our meal at Tommy Bahama's. The five large coconut shrimp were absolutely plump, golden, crispy, and bursting with sweet coconut flavor, truly some of the best coconut shrimp you can find. I understand why they refer to it as world famous. The Chilean sea bass was perfection, buttery, flawlessly cooked, and served over a fragrant bed of almond rice. The bok choy, mushrooms, and red peppers were incredibly fresh, vibrant, and full of flavor, creating a beautiful, harmonious explosion of taste with every bite. The restaurant itself and ambiance is lovely. Our server was just okay, not particularly warm, helpful and did not check in often, but even that could not overshadow the experience. Overall, it is an easy 5 stars for the generous portions, exceptional food, and fair pricing.

We live on maui and it was my least favorite meal on the island. The waiter Mike was amazing and made the meal better but the food was not good. The chicken was extremely dry. The garlic shrimp was overcooked. My friends didn't even finish their meal.

Blackened Mahi Mahi Tacos and Ahi Tuna Cobb

I haven't been to Tommy Bahama Restaurant in awhile but enjoyed a delightful catch up with friends. We were seated outside and it was nice to enjoy fresh air. They put a nice shade to prevent too much sun from hitting guests. Food was delicious! My friend and I got 2 Blackened Mahi Mahi tacos that had lime sour cream and chipotle aioli. They give you a couple chips with their delicious salsa. I could've loved a tad bit more chips and salsa to be honest. Our other friend enjoyed her Ahi Tuna Cobb Salad with Shoyu egg, Pork Belly, Snap peas and pickled daikon and carrots. Each dish ranged from $26 for the Tacos and $30 for the Ahi Tuna Cobb. I enjoyed my Pain Killer drink which is a zero proof drink they had on their old menu. I believe it was coconut cream with maybe pineapple juice and a sprinkle of nutmeg or cardamom. We all shared the Malt Chocolate Pie in the end. Get a smaller portion for $10 or the full size for $14. We got the full size and split it evenly between us 3 which was just enough. It had yummy chocolate cookie crust and some toffee bits on top and a chocolate pudding center! Go on their Tommy Bahama Website and get yourself a $50 off $100 to use online or in store or restaurant. Overall a good deal with the discount especially for us Kamaaina.

IMHO I always make it a point to visit Tommy Bahama in Wailea. Sometimes we like to dine at the Tommy Bahama restaurant next door. I had a few gift cards to redeem so I was anxious to see what was new and pretty! Karen, Tammy, and Reed helped me choose the perfect top. Yay! When I was paying for my purchase, I asked if I could receive a coupon for a free appetizer at the restaurant. I was declined... If they don't offer those anymore, it is a sad thing. It was one customer service perk that I enjoyed. Unfortunately, we did not dine at the restaurant this trip. But I will return to shop!

This was such an amazing surprise. Who knew Tommy Bahama clothing store had a restaurant???? Well, they do and it's a vibe. Not hip or trendy vibe, it's an old rich white people inland vibe. It was cool. We decided on this restaurant because of the baby back ribs. The reviews were positive and I wanted them. What also was a surprise was the crab cakes and the scallops sliders. They were so good. You got to order them when you go. Really, the crab cakes were one of the best I ever had. Service was also great too!!!!! We will definitely return on our next visit. (I created a collection of all the restaurants we visited on Maui from fine dining to food trucks and all in between - 'Fining dining to Food trucks'.)

Happy Hour, Happy Birthday, Happy Place! Came here on my birthday for Happy Hour. Bartenders were all nice and friendly. We had Happy Hour food that went perfect with our margaritas! Ambiance was relaxing and husband got to watch his basketball game that was on. Win win! If it's your birthday definitely come here for Happy Hour. You can choose a dessert of your choice. I opted for the Pineapple Creme Brûlée and it was amazing! It came in a real pineapple and so filling. Will definitely come back again next year or whoever has a birthday!

Had an amazing lunch at TB the other day. We enjoyed the ahi poke starter and a couple of Caymus white wine blends. The ahi was delightfully fresh and Greg our server was the best. I hope to be back before we leave for the mainland. This is one of my fav's for lunch, brunch, happy hour or dinner. Bring your friends and loved ones and enjoy sitting outside . In the evening they have a soulful, local musician who will make your dining experience complete. Happy eating! Ps on the way out I spotted a coffee martini which we will try soon. Looks yummy!

Jerret was our server and was prompt, helpful and friendly. Had the lobster spring rolls with a IPA and grapefruit martini. All delicious!

Our server was Jarrett. Great service! Thank you! Food is great! Lobster spring rolls were delicious. Jack Johnson playing in the background. Love the background chatter of happy voices connecting with others. Cheers!

Scallop slides with shoestring (more like threads) fries

Relaxing, welcoming atmosphere, pleasant smiles all around. Stopped in for a cold beverage and an appetizer. Service was prompt and professional at the bar top. We split their scallop sliders, which came in a pair. Scallop sliders were outstanding - fresh-tasting & sweet on warm bread - and honestly, with a side salad, that'd be an awesome lunch for me.

Would I be able to use my $50 TB award card that I received in the mail? Does mention restaurant too but not happy hour. Plse specify

Never had a problem using them!

Can reservations be made here?

Yes!

Do you need to be fully vaccinated even if you eat outdoors?

Hi Ellee, yes, because you have to walk through our restaurant to get to our patio, we are asking…

Do they have football on tv?

They have TVs at the bar area. A surfing competition was on while we were eating dinner, but I'd expect football to be on during game times.

Is there a happy hour?

2-5pm

6.22.26 UPDATE We…read moreoriginally had a disappointing experience due to slow service, limited attention from staff, and the lack of air conditioning during our visit. However, the owner took the time to respond and explain that the entire shopping center wing was experiencing cooling issues and that the restaurant was dealing with significant staffing shortages at the time. While that doesn't completely change the experience we had, I appreciate that the owner acknowledged the challenges and responded professionally rather than dismissing the feedback. One observation I would offer is that, as a customer, it was difficult to tell who was serving tables. I noticed several employees in Pint & Cork shirts moving around the restaurant, but only saw a couple of servers actively covering the dining area. It's possible some staff were assigned to bartending or other responsibilities, but from the guest perspective it gave the impression that table service was understaffed while other employees appeared unavailable. I still think there is room for improvement in the flow and logistics on the floor, but I appreciate the owner's willingness to engage with feedback and explain the circumstances. That being said, I would be willing to give the restaurant another chance. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- UPDATED REVIEW AFTER OWNER'S RESPONSE: 6.21.26 I appreciate the response. It's telling that you addressed the air conditioning, disputed the gender of an employee, and questioned whether I was even there, yet didn't meaningfully respond to the concerns about service, timing, attentiveness, or food quality. If a customer leaves with a poor experience, the question isn't whether they perfectly recalled every detail. The question is why they left with that impression in the first place. I suspect future readers can draw their own conclusions from both the review and the response. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Probably the most disappointing dining experience of our Hawaii trip. We specifically asked to sit indoors because we wanted a break from the Maui heat after spending the day outside. Unfortunately, we quickly realized there was no air conditioning, making the indoor seating barely any cooler than outside. The restaurant also felt severely understaffed. It took around 10 minutes just to get a Diet Coke, and every time I asked for assistance, the woman working at the register seemed to defer the request rather than help or find someone who could. Meanwhile, some employees appeared more interested in chatting than helping customers, while only one or two staff members seemed to be working the floor. I understand restaurants get busy, especially in a tourist area, but the issue wasn't just the wait--it was the feeling that customer service wasn't a priority. As for the food, it was nothing special. I ordered a steak that had a nice smoky flavor, but it arrived well done and overcooked. The rest of the meal was average at best and definitely not memorable enough to make up for the service issues. Between the lack of air conditioning, slow service, inattentive staff, and mediocre food, this was one of the few places in Hawaii where I genuinely regretted spending my money. Considering the location at The Shops at Wailea and the prices being charged, I expected a much higher level of hospitality and execution. There are far too many great dining options in Wailea to come back here.

This is one of the more elevated dining experiences you will find on the island of Maui. Breathtaking views of the ocean sunsets are incredible. When dinner service begins. There is a native Hawaiian who blows a conch shell with a small ceremony to celebrate the evening and to pay homage to the true owners of this island the native Hawaiians. I started out with the Tchin Tchin cocktail, amazing delicate flavor, not too sweet. I then had to try their seared Ahi on the rock appetizer where they bring you a piping hot rock and fresh Aji you cook the Aji on the rock yourself and it comes with three different incredible dipping sauces. Then I had the lobster tempura dish for my main meal combined with grilled monchong. This is one of the best dishes I think I've ever had in my life. The fish was so light and buttery and juicy and flaky, and the lobster cooked to perfection, and I was very skeptical because were breading this lobster and tempura and there's such a risk of over cooking and that did not happen here I was super super pleased. I then went with the Pinoy honey toast for dessert with a side of Ube ice cream also incredible. The service here for me was second to none. I saw the Sunday Brunch deal on my Facebook with a Free Pool Pass for the month of June! We couldn't pass that up. Because we went on the very last Sunday in June, it was real busy with visitors staying at the hotel and locals alike taking advantage of this Summer deal so we expected it. We got maybe 2-3 plates each. My cousin took advantage of the proteins first. He went straight to get the Ko Rosemary Crusted Prime Rib with the Horseradish and Au Jus which was delicious and our top favorite. He wasn't a big fan of the Mochiko Chicken, he said it was a bit dry. I started off with the selection of appetizers like the Ulu & Potato Mac Salad, Lomi Lomi Salmon, Waipoli Baby Greens with Papaya Seed Dressing and Poi! I loved it all. I was pretty naive and put the scrambled eggs and Braised Short Ribs on my plate but didn't realize it was a Loco Moco station lol! That was a fail but the Braised Short Ribs was so tender and is a must if you go. Make sure you make yourself a Loco Moco lol! Other favorites was the Lavender Honey Crispy Shrimp (because there was so many people I got the bottom of the bowl but they refilled it right after), Pork Shumai with Mustard Sauce, and Longanisa (Filipino Sausage with Garlic and Vinegar) with Onions. My coworker told me his stomach got upset from the Ahi a few months ago so I kinda stayed away from the Seared Ahi station (and I love ahi) except for the Vegetable and California Rolls and the Shumai. I took one Kimchee Shrimp just to try but the shrimp didn't taste the best sadly. I was also looking forward to the Pancakes station since I read there's Banana Pancakes and Chantilly Sauce! I do love me some Chantilly but it was mini Regular Pancakes with Strawberry, Lilikoi (Passion Fruit) Butter, and Syrup. I was a bit disappointed but the desserts didn't disappoint and was a hit. Our favorites were the Guava Chiffon Cake which was light and creamy, Hokkaido Cheese Tart, Calamansi Tartelettes and also the Paniolo Banana Rum Cake. I love small desserts-less waste and definitely leaving you satisfied when done right! Overall it was delicious- some hits and a few misses but we both understood it was the last Brunch deal day and had a relaxing Pool day afterwards. We both work in Customer Service/Hospitality and we appreciated the Staff working hard and being so welcoming and friendly, full of aloha.

Thankfully the food is MUCH better than "just okay", it is generally outstanding. I rotate starters and salads because there are so many great choices. The Caesar Salad is about as good as they get, but I really, really like the Maui Greek Salad. With at least four people we start with the Seafood Tower, but find it just too big for two of us. Other than that the Kalua Pig Pot Stickers, Charred Octopus, Crab Cakes and Blackened Ahi are the starters I rotate through. For my Main, I am less eclectic. I have a hard time getting away from the Diver Scallops and Scampi. I have tried other dishes, the Abalone, Kona Lobster and Ribeye (I know, I know, who orders steak in a seafood restaurant), but I keep coming back to. For Dessert, I am also in a rut, but I love desserts they set on fire and in this case it is Bananas Foster. I do sneak bites off my DW's Creme Brulee, as does off my BF. The service is terrific, attentive without being intrusive. I used to joke about the Chicago store that if you knocked a spoon off the table someone would catch it before it hit the floor. The Maui service isn't quite that attentive and I am not sure I would want it to be.
