After reading all the wonderful reviews, we decided to try this place for my husband's birthday lunch. It was empty when we got there, with many tables to choose from, so we sat in one of the small booths near the back door. Service was pretty quick and he was very friendly and professional. Okay, the food that sounded so yummy on the menu ended up being disappointing. We ordered the reuben panini and the mahi with tropical salsa. The sandwich came without the promised sauerkraut, though the French fries were good. And, while the mahi mahi was good and the accompanying mac salad extremely tasty, the tropical salsa left much to be desired. It was bitter and was overwhelmed by the taste of the cilantro and onions and was in desperate need of an additional fresh fruit to join the Papaya. OMG! This place rocks! We were a large group and they accommodated us quickly for lunch. Service was great but I have to focus on my meal. I got the garlic shrimp and was expecting a food truck style entree. Wow was I wrong in a very good way. Huge prawns came on a plate with a bed of rice slathered in garlic and butter. They brought a bunch of napkins and even latex gloves for me to dive into this dish. There is a restroom close so washing up isn't a problem. Dig in I went. I remember this being better the last time I went a few years ago. They have gone downhill. The food was just not good. We had Chicken Katsu, Chicken Teriyaki and a Chicken Pesto Panini. The Katsu (weird that it is not pork) and teriyaki were dry and pretty tasteless. The chicken pesto panini was lacking in pesto. Sort of felt soaked in mayo. The bread wasn't great - should be focaccia to improve the taste. Hard to find the pine nuts as well. French fries tasted like they were fried in old oil. Dining room was also dirtier than I remember and visible kitchen was not clean. I regret not eating at the McDonalds a street away if that tells you anything. read more

On our last day on Maui we decided to stop by this place for some burgers, we came here about 2 years ago and I think it was a different name. Anyways, it wasn't too busy but we waited about 15 mins to be seated. Ordered our burgers and a broccoli soup. Burgers plates are good, they really do have good burgers. The broccoli soup on the other hand was really salty and had a burnt taste too it. Omg~I couldn't eat it. If I didn't order the broccoli soup I would've gave this place a 4 star. read more

Came back again this past Wed. Ordered the same great French dip sandwich. Was not disappointed. Our server, Jay-Jay provided great service and accommodating for our short lunch time even using my hydroflask vs their glass for my soda. She and our other lunch server were both excellent. Apparently they made changes on how they make their food but did not update their menu. I always order the BBQ fries which comes with fries topped with BBQ pulled pork, cheese and coleslaw. Today ordered through door dash and ordered the BBQ fries, what I got was a completely different dish, i got fries topped with kalua pork, sesame seeds and sriracha mayo, no coleslaw. I called to ask if this was the correct item and the person said yes, we changed how we make it but didn't update the menu and hung up. Very disappointing and poor customer service. He tells me it will be another 5-10 minutes. Finally get my order at 12:20. I wouldn't have been upset if I wasn't in a rush (on my hour lunch break). Please don't offer online orders if you can't honor them at the scheduled time. I understand that times are tough and you may be understaffed but this review could prevent future bad experiences for other potential customers. We walked in and were fortunate to have a large table available for our party 10, as the restaurant was pretty busy on a Saturday for lunch. I must give HUGE props to the staff and the restaurant for being so family-friendly. To our surprise, the restaurant provided coloring pages, crayons and even puzzles for the kiddies to keep occupied with while waiting for the food to arrive. The kids loved it and this made our meal that much more enjoyable! The food was also outstanding. I really enjoyed my honey mustard chicken sandwich, and all of their salads were super fresh. So happy we stopped here after our adventure at Iao Valley State Monument. Their menu has a lot of options and everyone in my family was happy with their meal and we're one vegetarian, one gluten-free, and one picky kiddo. Great find in Wailuku. We had a wonderful lunch. We started with mango peach ice tea (great) and some of their garlic fries (good fries and great aioli). My kids attacked the fries like angry dingos. I heard a few grunts so I knew they liked them. For mains, we tried a variety of items: Mahi Mahi Sandwich (awesome tasting with a good size of fish and little wasabi bite - I paired it with their House Salad as my side (nice balsamic vinegar dressing). Alfredo Pasta (great size of pasta and cooked to a perfect al dente). Gnocchi (nice taste and my daughter said it was her favorite).
