    Mushroom Pasta

Gorgeous view from this good restaurant in the hotel resort. Tables for any size party, we had a good experience here for breakfast, lunch, and dinner several times. The breakfast buffet was all fresh with a lot of choices, including an omelette bar, for every member of the family. Listen to the water fountains nearby over the Koi ponds for a romantic Valentine's Day dinner which was so nice. Service was right on top of things as we enjoyed our time together with relaxed meals. The restaurant fit so well into the views, good weather, and evening lighting around us.

Yummy! Yummy! Yummy! There is one pasta in the DMV area that I crave! And now I'll be craving one in Maui! I chose the Sheraton resort because of the food and food choices nearby. Coral Reef was on the property so since they had lamb chops on the menu, I booked this. So glad I did! This dinner did not disappoint! The view of the resort was nice, being able to sit outside is always a great experience making the ambiance refreshing and relaxing. Service was excellent, server was quick, responsive and welcoming. Let's get into it! Plancha Octopus- Delicious and not chewy! Loved it! Chefs special (not always on the menu) Lobster Pasta - OMG this dish was soooooooooo good! I mean good good, I could have had this everyday while I was in Maui; honestly it was that good! Still thinking of this meal! Lamb Chops - Delicious! Chocolate Cake - Yummy! Kudos to them for accommodating the Birthday we celebrated! Well done! Highly recommend if you're visiting Maui.

We were lucky enough to have Coral Reef as one of the restaurants located on our resort. It's the perfect indoor/outdoor mix, that's serving up fantastic food offerings! We chose Coral Reef as my pre-birthday meal destination and I'm sure glad that we did! Her lobster pasta was LOADED with lobster and my lamb chops were thick, tender and had just enough marbling (fat) to add to the flavor. Service was great and my complementary bday dessert was delicious as well. Sitting outside on a warm November evening in Maui added to the ambiance that rounded out this 5 star dinner!

The only way this breakfast buffet is worth $47 is because you have the $100/day dining credit via Costco travel. There's a decent selection of food items which is why it's getting 3 stars and the omelette bar is fantastic! The fruit was a mix of not ripe enough and just right (the pineapple was hard as a rock and light colored - not what you expect while in Hawaii). Everyone we interacted with outside of our server was so hospitable and friendly, but the gentleman who helped us rarely checked in on us; brought us waters, asked if we wanted any drinks just once. It seemed he was more focused on wrangling the pigeons (guard your food, it's part of the charm though!). We got a table outside looking out on the koi pond, so it was a nice relaxing breakfast, but hardly worth $47.

Sat down for a beautiful, sunset dinner outdoors,. What can I say? The service was excellent and the food was excellent as well. Had the beet salad it was exceedingly fresh and tasty. All of the veggies and vinaigrette complimented each other. The butternut squash raviolis were cooked perfectly. The star of the show was the braised short ribs. They were so soft and tender. The gravy/sauce and the mashed potatoes paired excellently with the meat. The broccoli was basically blanched. They were still very crunchy. I'm not a fan of overcooked vegetables like most people. This place is definitely a must go if you are in the area and want a nice dinner.

Warmly greeted by the entire hostess crew. Nelson did a splendid job with recommendations and tending to our table regularly. The Citrus Beet Salad and Miso Caesar Salad were excellent starters. Nice presentation and the miso was a pleasant twist to your traditional Caesar dressing. I think I now prefer it, actually! Many of us went for the Pan Seared Kona Kampachi for our entree since it was a unique dish to the islands. The flakey, moist filet went nicely on a bed of risotto and bok choy. We all agreed it was an excellent choice. And although I didn't get to sample it, the Orecchiette was enjoyed, as well. All in all, the entrees were can't miss, IMO. For dessert, we had the From Upcountry and the Chocolate Cake. The Upcountry was another unique dish not to be passed up. Don't get me wrong, the cake was perfect, as well, but it is still chocolate cake. We found the Coral Reef via OpenTable, as it was a bit of an unknown since it is hidden at the rear of the Sheraton Maui (versus Whaler's Village.) Don't let that fool you! This is now one of my favorite restaurants in Ka'anapali! Service, ambiance, and quality -- all first class.

    Tender short rib
    Evelyn H.

My hubby and I stayed at the Sheraton while vacationing in Maui and had meal credits to the restaurants at the resorts. We decided to get fancier(ish) dinner one night and dine at the Coral Reef. The fork-tender short ribs w/ mash spoke to me, so it was not a hard decision for me to decide on what I wanted. The hubby decided that he wanted to try something different, so he ordered the fried whole fish. We were also pretty hungry, so we decided to order a starter of fried calamari strips. The calamari came out first and was served with a citrus-ey dipping sauce. I enjoyed the fried calamari itself - perfectly fried and crispy with just enough tenderness and chew without being rubber-bandy. I wasn't a huge fan of the sauce for the calamari, however. It was maybe some yuzu-based sauce that left me longing for some good old-fashion cocktail sauce. The short rib was incredibly tender and flavorful. The parsnip potato mash was fine - I think I would have preferred just plan old mashed portatoes. My husband was, however, taken aback by his meal. To be fair, he got exactly what he ordered. A fried whole fish - eyeballs and tails and all. And it was market price, which at the time was $60. He didn't quite know how to tackle his meal, so he spent it picking fish meat off of bones and skin and didn't end up enjoying his meal. For dessert, we ordered the chocolate cake to share. It came with a side of vanilla ice cream and bits of candied macadamia nuts. It was good and I liked the candied nuts, but it was definitely overpriced at $14. Our waiter was quite friendly and our seat was facing the outside, so we had a cool view. During our dinner, we also had a fire dancer performer set up and do his set right in front of us. Not too shabby. All in all, it was fine. I preferred the food (and price) from the casual spot at the hotel.

    Pineapple Upside Down Mochi Pancakes
    Emily Y.

Went over for the ube mochi pancakes. The view from the outdoor seating area is great and the atmosphere is very pleasant in the morning. The mochi pancakes had a high ratio of rice flour, making for very chewy pancakes. The ube flavor was very prominent and strong, and the deep purple color is real nice to look at. The pineapple pancakes had a nice sour & refreshing punch. Because they're mochi pancakes, however, they're quite heavy and rich, and it gets a bit tedious to eat after a while. A stack of 2 pancakes would've been more than enough.

    Mushroom pasta (vegan)
    Tess B.

Glad they have a vegan option for main course & it was delicious. The sauce for the mushroom pasta was very good. Would love to see a vegan appetizer as well. Service was on the slower side but appreciate they brought out the kid's meal early for the toddler at our table. Beautiful venue, especially if you're seated outside. Made a reservation but seemed like there were plenty of seats available.

Tell me you're Filipino without telling me you're Filipino! Ordering the Ube mochi pancake at Coral Reef in Sheraton Maui & Spa. The texture is soft & chewy like mochi but still fluffy like a pancake. Our server even warned me to get the kids's size because the regular serving is massive, so I ordered the kid's size

Nice place to eat at the Sheraton Maui if you're staying there. Nice setting, good food, friendly service.

Ate here many times during our stay and it was always delicious. We did dinner and breakfast. The service was great and the views cant be beat. Would definitely go back if i was in the area or staying at the resort.

This amazing breakfast is located on the ground floor of the Sheraton hotel. The entrance of the Sheraton alone has an amazing view of black rock snorkeling and cliff jumping. This restaurant is nuzzled into the pathways leading out to it and has a beautiful koi pond. The ube pancakes were the best I ever had. It's on the priced side but worth it for the location and access to the beach after. The staff were nice, don't forget to wear a shirt over your bikini, they won't let you in without it!

While I adore and often cook a lot of Asian food I'm not such a fan of Filipino food yet around it more than any other food with family. Bad choice. After driving there from Lahaina for lunch, this dish was unavailable?? Even yelpers rave about it! So we ordered the pork belly and wanted chow fun but they only have the chicken variety? So there is a reason why the Asian restaurants we usually dine at make beef chow fun. The chicken version was bland and wanting for something else to complete it! But surely edible and nicely cooked noodles. The pork belly was ok but not slap your momma I'll go back for that good. The Mac salad was awful compared to much more affordable plate lunch places. It was flavorless, overcooked pasta, and a gritty texture! Weirdly the chairs there at the tables are low and you feel like you are at the children's table at Thanksgiving. So much so that us and two other groups including the ones that moved after ordering to our vacated table moved from the regular tables to the ones at the window with a bench on one side. We had fun joking with our replacements about that! So for the most part here it appears to be tourist clientele and not many Filipinos but my wife. I think that these exceptionally high prices for basic dishes and burgers (she asked why would people go to a Filipino restaurant and order a burger) are why not many locals eat here. And frankly most aunties make better Filipino food better at home. Glad we tried but not again. Checked off of our try try list. They didn't even have a signature dish available that we went particularly to get.

Beautiful views, incredible food, and surprisingly family-friendly!…read more While visiting Maui, we made a reservation at The Plantation House, and it ended up being one of our favorite meals of the trip. The setting alone is stunning--overlooking the Kapalua golf course with gorgeous ocean views--but the food absolutely lived up to the scenery. We started with a fresh house salad, which was simple but perfectly dressed and a great way to kick things off. For entrées: * My husband ordered the short rib, which was incredibly tender and rich with flavor. The sauce paired perfectly with the creamy mashed potatoes and roasted carrots. * My oldest son had the prime rib, and it was cooked beautifully with a great sear and topped with asparagus and a flavorful butter. * I chose the shrimp scampi, which was buttery, garlicky, and packed with shrimp. The pasta was coated in the most delicious creamy sauce and even came with toasted bread to soak up every bit of it. * My younger two ordered from the kids menu--the kids short rib and butter-and-cheese fettuccini--and both plates were generous and surprisingly elevated for kids' meals. Everything we ordered came out looking beautiful and tasting just as good. The service was attentive without being overbearing, and the whole experience felt relaxed but still upscale. If you're visiting Maui and want a spot that delivers great food, amazing views, and works well for families, The Plantation House is absolutely worth the reservation.

The bread came with chive butter that was so flavorful, and the bread itself was warm and delicious. There was also live music, which made the ambience even better--just an all-around beautiful place to relax and enjoy a meal. Bonus points for free valet, which made parking super easy. For food, we got the macadamia nut crusted mahi mahi, which was really good, slightly on the sweeter side, but still flavorful. The Hawaiian short ribs were a standout for me: super tender, perfectly cooked, and just packed with flavor. We also ordered the panko crusted calamari, which I loved. The pieces were thick, juicy, and had a light, crispy coating that wasn't greasy at all, really easy to eat. Portions were also very decent. I also saw their breakfast menu and now I definitely want to come back to try it soon!
