We like the ambiance better than the food, but the food is very solid. Service was attentive and friendly while being quick. The patio was closed because of weather and they put down the shades to protect us, but it did make it very dark inside. We liked the fish sandwich and fries and the fish plate was fine, but not super remarkable. We will keep coming back for the atmosphere and views!

Super atmosphere right by the beach where you can eat a good meal while listening to the ocean. The food was very good. We ordered the Ahi to start but I didn't get a picture because it was so good it didn't have a chance. The prime rib and macadamia nut crusted Mahi was good. Our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable.

First main dinner in Maui and it was a lovely evening out. Loved the pure Hawaiian vibes. The booth was a nice seating area and lovely place to watch sunset. The prime rib was excellent! Perfectly cooked and the horseradish was a great pairing. Worth a visit when in Maui!

We stopped into Duke's Beach House for an 11am brunch on a very rainy Maui morning. The weather kept things pretty quiet, and we were seated right away. Service was good overall--friendly and attentive--but nothing especially memorable. We were staying at the Westin and used the guest discount card, which came with a free appetizer. We went with the calamari, and it was a good start to the meal. For our mains, I had the BBQ chicken salad and my wife ordered the fish tacos. Both dishes were tasty and fresh, exactly what you'd hope for at a casual beachside spot. There was a small blip with my salad, but the staff fixed it quickly and without any hassle, which we appreciated. All in all, a solid brunch with good food and a relaxed atmosphere--even on a rainy day. Not quite a standout experience, but definitely a place we'd return to the next time we're on Maui.

4.8 stats for Duke's! Incredible vibes and oceanfront views at Duke's! We had breakfast here everyday while staying at Honua Kai and in particular, the Beach Boys Burrito, acai bowl and banana and macadamia nut pancakes were standouts for us!

Welcoming staff, our waitress was great, knowledgeable and friendly but I felt something was missing. Dukes is nestled on the beach in the back of the Westin, overlooking the ocean...but it was stale, the music was blah, the atmosphere was non existent and the food was okay. The breakfast and dinner menu looked promising but unfortunately we decided to go at lunch, middle of the day, so I really want to attribute that to our experience or lack thereof. Underwhelming is what it summed up to be, at least for me.

One of our first meals in Maui! We made a reservation for 4 on our first full day and we were seated right away. I would highly recommend making a reservation ahead of time as there were quite a few parties that were waiting. The restaurant is tucked behind a resort so we were able to find guest parking in front of the hotel free of charge. It is located by the water with an amazing beachside view. We ordered the POG and mango slush, both of which were fruity and refreshing. One of the best slushies I've had in awhile. We ordered the rib & chicken plate to share. Both the chicken and ribs were juicy and marinated well. Last but not least, the hula pie was SO DELICIOUS. We had received a complimentary coupon for the hula pie from one of the concierges at the resort, even though we did not stay there! the pie was ice cream with a shave ice texture, making it a perfect treat to end the meal. We were very very satisfied with this meal (+ the free pie!) and got to take a stroll on the beach afterwards too. Would highly recommend this place for the ambiance & food!

I had a great evening at Duke's in Lahaina. We made a reservation since it's really popular, and we were seated early by the live ukulele music--perfect sunset vibe. Service was attentive, and the view of the beach was incredible. I had the macadamia-crusted fish, which was absolutely delicious, and we shared a Hula Pie--big portion, really tasty. Everyone else enjoyed their meals, though the calamari was just a bit different from what we expected--thicker, not as crispy. Overall, a really nice experience, but given the price, I'd say it's a solid four stars.

We came here for lunch after a whale watching tour and had a delicious lunch! The island ambience and live music were amazing ! We ordered the rib and huli huli chicken lunch plate and the fresh fish mahi mahi lunch plate. Both were delicious! We will definitely be back again to try their breakfast or dinner options.

Walk right in from the beach and only a 10 minute wait for a nice table near the guitarist. Very good service and delicious food. We ate here twice during our stay at HGV Ka'anapali Beach.

Great food, good server! To start we got the crab wontons. The crab filling was SMOOTH and CREAMY and the Thai sauce went well. But it kind of over powered the crab. The fish was AMAZING and FRESH! We had the Sautéed Mac Nut & Herb-Crusted Fresh Fish (mahi-mahi) and the banana leaf steam fish (hapu'u hawaiian sea bass) Great flavor and butteriness of the white meat fish and the rice and vegetables went really well with the dishes. We also tried the prime rib that was well seasoned, tender, juicy, and had a good chew. Paird really well with the horseradish. The dessert were DELICIOUS! Definitely try out the creme brûlée which came with three different flavors and the lilikoi pie (kinda more like a tart/cheesecake) but it was VERY GOOD. Had a nice tang from the sauce and the coconut crust added a nice crunchy texture!

We go here every time we travel to Hawaii. This time I tried the seafood Risotto and Loved it! Make sure to get the calamari- delish! Came back again this year (2025) and the seafood Risotto is the BOMB. Fried calamari is delicious as well.

We did a walk up reservation around 6:15pm on a Monday and inquired about a table outside to watch the sunset. Staff were very nice and said they would try their best but said they have about 55 actual reservations before us for those tables. We were able to just watch the sunset on the beach and got seated around 7pm inside but still had a good beach view. Bula, our waiter was attentive and extremely knowledgeable about the menu and helped me decide between dishes. Drinks: Mai Tai and Spiked Pog Slushie, both were delicious and tasted like they didn't have much alcohol but we both agreed we could feel the alcohol lol. Appetizer: Poke Tacos, were delicious and fresh Entrees: They were unfortunately out of prime rib so we got the sautéed mac nut and herb crusted fresh fish which was delicious and had very flavorful capers. We also got the fish tacos which weren't anything astonishing but still very good. The salsa was perfectly sweet and salty. Dessert: Bula brought us a huge piece of Kiki's Original Hula Pie to celebrate our Anniversary which was complimentary but I would have paid for either way because it was so good. Total for the meal was around $185 with the tip. Great atmosphere and an upper-scale restaurant, well worth the money for a nice evening. Plus it is walkable.

Very mid food for what the price is and service could be better. The location is inside a resort so usually it's going to be overpriced.

Do you take walk ins or only reservation in the evening?

Both. They told us they are limiting the reservations so that people can do walk in meals. They're purposely keeping walk in space open. It's nice especially since it's so difficult to get a table sometimes other places.

While I adore and often cook a lot of Asian food I'm not such a fan of Filipino food yet around it more than any other food with family. Bad choice. After driving there from Lahaina for lunch, this dish was unavailable?? Even yelpers rave about it! So we ordered the pork belly and wanted chow fun but they only have the chicken variety? So there is a reason why the Asian restaurants we usually dine at make beef chow fun. The chicken version was bland and wanting for something else to complete it! But surely edible and nicely cooked noodles. The pork belly was ok but not slap your momma I'll go back for that good. The Mac salad was awful compared to much more affordable plate lunch places. It was flavorless, overcooked pasta, and a gritty texture! Weirdly the chairs there at the tables are low and you feel like you are at the children's table at Thanksgiving. So much so that us and two other groups including the ones that moved after ordering to our vacated table moved from the regular tables to the ones at the window with a bench on one side. We had fun joking with our replacements about that! So for the most part here it appears to be tourist clientele and not many Filipinos but my wife. I think that these exceptionally high prices for basic dishes and burgers (she asked why would people go to a Filipino restaurant and order a burger) are why not many locals eat here. And frankly most aunties make better Filipino food better at home. Glad we tried but not again. Checked off of our try try list. They didn't even have a signature dish available that we went particularly to get.

The setting alone is stunning--overlooking the Kapalua golf course with gorgeous ocean views--but the food absolutely lived up to the scenery. We started with a fresh house salad, which was simple but perfectly dressed and a great way to kick things off. For entrées: * My husband ordered the short rib, which was incredibly tender and rich with flavor. The sauce paired perfectly with the creamy mashed potatoes and roasted carrots. * My oldest son had the prime rib, and it was cooked beautifully with a great sear and topped with asparagus and a flavorful butter. * I chose the shrimp scampi, which was buttery, garlicky, and packed with shrimp. The pasta was coated in the most delicious creamy sauce and even came with toasted bread to soak up every bit of it. * My younger two ordered from the kids menu--the kids short rib and butter-and-cheese fettuccini--and both plates were generous and surprisingly elevated for kids' meals. Everything we ordered came out looking beautiful and tasting just as good. The service was attentive without being overbearing, and the whole experience felt relaxed but still upscale. For food, we got the macadamia nut crusted mahi mahi, which was really good, slightly on the sweeter side, but still flavorful. The Hawaiian short ribs were a standout for me: super tender, perfectly cooked, and just packed with flavor. We also ordered the panko crusted calamari, which I loved. The pieces were thick, juicy, and had a light, crispy coating that wasn't greasy at all, really easy to eat. Portions were also very decent. I also saw their breakfast menu and now I definitely want to come back to try it soon!
