    Kalua Pork (sub chicken)

What a great hidden gem for a quick trip out to see turtles & watch some surfing. This is such a cute, rustic spot that fits the vibe of Paia so well. The flatbreads were all so unique in ingredients and the ones we had were out of this world delicious. The kalua pork (but with chicken) was amazing, a must have! Excellent service & fair prices even compared to main land. Would definitely go out of our way for this place next time we're in Maui!

Flatbread Pizza in Paia is one of our favorite pizza places in the world, they have this massive wood fire pizza oven and use some of the freshest ingredients available on Maui. You're greeted by the massive pizza oven as you walk in and a chunk of the restaurant is open air. They have some of the coldest drinks on the island and incredible service every time we've been here. Make it a point to come to Paia and try Flatbreads!

**Food - 5/5** **Atmosphere - 3/5** **Service - 4/5** We came here after watching the sunset at Haleakalā Summit. Thankfully, we had made a reservation, so we were seated quickly. The place was packed and quite loud. Seating was a bit uncomfortable--the table behind us was very close, leaving my husband with very little space, and he unfortunately had to stand for most of the time. That said, our server was amazing! He gave us a heads-up that the food would take about 45 minutes and smartly suggested ordering a larger pizza upfront to avoid waiting again later. He was absolutely right. The pizzas are thin-crusted, and for a party of three, a large pizza was just right--even though we initially thought we weren't that hungry. Now, onto the food--absolutely amazing! I loved the corn pizza with chipotle sauce on top; it was so delicious. The mushroom pizza was also very good We truly enjoyed the food and highly recommend this place for it. We ended the meal with dessert: a warm brownie topped with vanilla ice cream. It was perfectly baked and tasted fantastic with the ice cream--a perfect ending to a great meal!

One my fav spots in Maui! We liked it so much we ate here multiples times. Pizza is very good. Salad was only okay. Service is great and love the ambiance. It is in Paia town.

We came for an early lunch while exploring Paia. Was a recommendation from a friend and so glad we visited. Since we were early, we were seated immediately. We started with a couple cocktails and we each ordered a pizza since I don't like cheese on mine. Pizzas were delicious! We did a build your own but it was a tough choice based on the menu options. Our server was super friendly too and gave us some recommendations of things to check out around the area. Would definitely return!

If you find yourself on Maui -- maybe chasing sunsets, sea turtles, or your own inner chill -- do not skip the Flatbread Company at 89 Hana Highway. This place is an absolute gem, the kind you don't need a pirate map to find. The pizza? Out-of-this-world. I'm talking "did-an-Italian-grandma-team-up-with-a-Hawaiian-fire-god?" good. Fresh, flavorful, and crafted with so much love you can practically hear it whisper "Aloha" before you take a bite. And then there's Zack -- Warm, attentive, genuinely kind... pretty sure he could teach a masterclass in hospitality. He didn't just go above and beyond; he practically teleported into the "legendary service" zone. Zack, thanks a million -- you officially leveled up our entire meal. Highly recommended for anyone craving incredible food and hospitality so good you'll wonder if you've accidentally become island royalty. A perfect stop in paradise! Jordan

Brian from Maui Gold recommended this place and we are glad he did! On our way back from the black sand beach headed to Lahaina, this place was a perfect rest stop to catch our breath after the road to Hana and having a bite. There is a public parking nearby just a few mins walk. This place is very cozy and has a local feel to it. We were sat pretty quick in the back room that is a bit warm but since it was nighttime it was fine. We had to cold beers that were really good and ordered 2 pizzas. One of the pizzas was a veggie one from their daily specials that was delicious! The second one was a pizza with pork and Maui gold pineapple that we LOVED! For dessert we had this delicious banana bread with vanilla ice-cream. If you are in town and feel like pizza, you have to check this place out.

Being originally from New England, we were pleasantly surprised to find a Flatbread Company restaurant on Maui. Our waitress, who was by far the best we've had since arriving, confirmed that it was indeed the same owner. We started with the Paia Salad made with fresh mesclun from Lapa Au Farm, sweet leaf lettuces from Oko A Farm, kale from Kuma Farm, green papaya from Ono Farms, carrots from Oko A Farm, toasted sesame seeds, local organic cucumbers, and their homemade Maui pineapple vinaigrette. It was delicious, unique, and wonderfully light. After that, we enjoyed our favorite pizza, half chicken and half mushroom. We love that the food is farm to table and that Flatbread is so closely connected with local farms and producers. A fantastic restaurant with a funky vibe! Please open a location in Charleston, SC!

The pork with pineapple (their take on a Hawaiian pizza) was so good. It was my favorite. The maple sausage with fennel and mushrooms was pretty good too! Great service and good vibes. Right in Paia as you're passing through. Try it out!

Food was great, very nice extra crispy crust- not much toppings though. One 16" is enough for about 2 adults and 2 small kids. Ranch is not included and they charge extra 1.50 for a small portion of ranch

January 12, 2026 and we drove from Kaanapali to do some window shopping and then have a late lunch. The maui brewing Company Coconut Porter was wonderful. The basilicious, made without alcohol (NA/non-alcohol) was really good and to make it easy on the bartender, the alcohol was simply put into a separate glass and the drink was made with soda water. We throughly enjoyed the "our maple syrup fennel flatbread." we have to admit it is our absolute favorite offering. We truly look forward to returning!

We loved the pizza here. Lot of vegetarian options. They were welcoming and friendly. Chill vibes.

Great pizza here but they get really busy. We stopped in for takeout and were told 15-20 minutes, which was totally reasonable. As we waited outside, we saw a line of people forming but didn't think too much of it since we already ordered and paid. Ended up waiting an hour for one small pizza to go which was disappointing since we spent our last sunset waiting outside the restaurant instead of enjoying the pizza by the beach like we planned. Pizza itself was great! We loved the fresh pineapples on it and the pork had good flavor. Crust was thin and crispy while still being substantial enough to hold all the toppings! I'd recommend ordering ahead of time if you know you want to try it.

We hit up Paia right before our flight back to LAX. It's not very far from the airport and I was bummed we hadn't been told to explore this area in addition to lounging out in Lahaina. There was a line formed even before the restaurant opened but things flowed pretty quickly. While waiting to order I'd pretty much convinced myself that I was going to be disappointed because the menu felt a bit basic. But boy was I wrong. The fish burgers are just absolutely exceptional. I got the snapper and my wife got the ahi. Both pieces of fish were cooked to perfection and were well sized. The bun was top notch and the coleslaw - a dish of which I am generally not a fan - was simply exceptional. At first I thought was a bit weird that they included cheese on the sandwich but that actually worked too! Go here for a no frills, reasonably priced, delicious AF meal if your travels take you into the area. Can't wait to go back on our next trip to Maui!

It's cool up there, and it adds to the cozy, Upcountry vibe. Marlow is a lively spot with an open kitchen that makes the whole experience feel energetic and welcoming. Definitely make a reservation. We ran into a delay getting up the hill due to a downed utility pole and messaged through the OpenTable app. Eden, who was hosting that night (and we later learned also serves), immediately called us, walked us through the menu, and even got our order started so we wouldn't hold up service. She was incredibly knowledgeable and set the tone for the evening with genuine hospitality. At the bar, Jesse, our bartender, took great care of us. From the drink menu, he made an excellent Black Cherry Manhattan with Burning Chair bourbon, Cocchi di Torino, cherry, and Angostura bitters--smooth, balanced, and delivered tableside. We also enjoyed a bottle of Gamay wine, which paired beautifully with the food and rounded out the meal. For dinner: * Mafaldine Bolognese (Lopes Farm beef, gremolata, parm - dinner only) was rich and comforting. My wife loved it. * Steak Tagliata (horseradish crème fraîche, herb verde - dinner only) was cooked perfectly and full of flavor--my dad cleaned his plate. * I had the Funghi white pie with local mushrooms, mozzarella, garlic confit, and parmigiano, and it was outstanding--earthy, balanced, and satisfying. Dessert capped things off nicely, and by the end of the night we were happily full. A special shoutout to Kira, our server--kind, fun, and professional. It was neat finding out she's also a Maui High grad, from a different generation, but with that same local pride and warmth that makes dining in Hawaiʻi special. Big mahalo to the kitchen crew--you can feel the care and teamwork in every dish. Payment was easy using Toast, which we appreciated. All around, Marlow delivers thoughtful food, great cocktails, and genuine hospitality. It's wonderful to have a fun, lively, open-kitchen restaurant in Upcountry Maui. We'll absolutely be back.

Makawao, HI. I really liked this restaurant . We were…read moreseated without a reservation and the place was very busy. All the staff ladies were exceptionally friendly and helpful. This was about 6:00 pm for dinner. The vibe is casual but trendy. A buzz of activity was going on. Everything we tried was just bursting with flavors! We started out with the meatballs which were as good as grandma's, who made the best, of course. I would categorize them as "Memorable Meatballs". The sauce that came with them (2 of them) was perfect in every way. The chopped salad was large enough for three people and was fresh and delicious. The dressing was a great complimentary addition to the greens. The braised pork pizza was over the top good. Just the right amount of char on a sourdough crust and a sauce that was just full of flavor. The Lilikoi butter provided a bright spot on the tomato palate. This I believe, helps make this pizza unique. The prawns were large and you get six. They tasted great , soaked in chimichurri . They would be perfect with just a little less salt and a bit more garlic. Mushrooms in crème fraiche, just outstanding. Note that the emphasis is on the sauce, not the mushrooms. For dessert was the gelato with fennel pollen, honey, olive oil, and sea salt. This is an absolute must to try, it's divine. The Panna cotta is rich and silky, nicely done. There is a decorative crumble on top that adds a little crunch and gives the dish a good presentation. There are some sweet floral notes in the custard, most likely cardamom. The ginger fizz drink is very good with a nice ginger kick without tasting like ginger ale. A well constructed mocktail. The vibe in the morning is about a 180 degree turn about. There is no table service, not busy enough. Order at the counter. The cheerful night time ladies have been replaced by a solitary glum teen who is not happy and maybe don't even like the people she has to deal with in the morning. She is efficient though. Nevertheless, the quiche was great. Great flavor, great crust, interesting top glaze that was different from any I've seen. The latte featured the same topping of fennel pollen, etc. that was on the gelato last night. Pretty amazing version of a latte. My suggestion, to make it perfect, is to order it with an extra shot in a large ceramic cup. The bathroom here is clean and I never encountered a line.
