We dined here twice in the last two weeks and of the total of 10 large pizzas ordered, all were very soggy in the middle even the cheese only ones. We also noted that the wait staff were not as nice and friendly not just to us but also to the other people around us. That is quite a change as we always had experienced the wait staff as being very friendly. We were a bit disappointed at our experience as this place has been a must visit every year we are in Maui. Came here on the recommendation of "Yelp's Chief Pizza Officer" after reading the Yelp blog post. After hearing about their "Mopsy" pie with slow-cooked free-range kalua pork shoulder, homemade mango BBQ sauce, organic red onions, fresh pineapple, goat cheese, mozzarella, parmesan cheese, and garlic oil, I knew I HAD to come here for dinner at least one night I was visiting the island to try this pizza. My friends and I ordered one Mopsy and Taco pie. Both of them were good, but that Mopsy pie ... BAYBEEE it was delicious. We couldn't get enough, tbh we wish we had ordered two of them instead of the taco pie, actually we did try to order another one but the kitchen was closed, and they were still doing dessert. The lilikoi cheesecake was delicious. I will say be wary that it's more on the tart side; however, I still enjoyed it. I've always loved the pizza here -- it's one of the best on the island, which is why I keep coming back. Unfortunately, my recent visit was a huge disappointment. If you're a local, please be mindful that you may be treated differently. We were seated at a high-top table, even though we had a child with us. The table was near the bathroom, and the strong smell of bleach made it difficult to breathe. We kindly asked to be moved, and the hostess switched us to a large table. After thanking her, we mentioned that since it was just the three of us, we were happy to move to a smaller open table nearby. At that point, our waiter responded with a snappy attitude, saying, "We gave you the last available table. If you want to move again, you'll need to be put on the waitlist." While we were there, a steady flow of new customers (mostly tourists) came in, and none of them were seated in the area with the strong chemical smell. It was hard not to feel like we were being treated differently. To top it off, our server didn't share the daily specials with us -- something we noticed other servers doing enthusiastically with other tables. Wow 10 years later and I'm still going to rave about Flatbread in Paia. We placed an order for takeout to eat on the drive up to Haleakala and I'd highly recommend doing so. We got two large pies! My fav the Mopsy's Kalua Pork Pie and tried the Pele Pesto. They are definitely on the expensive side for pizzas but the quality of ingredients and flavor is worth it in my opinion. Service was excellent and my pizzas were ready to pick up. It is a bit difficult trying to find parking so I ran out of the car to pick em up. You're better off picking from one of the 7 menu pizzas, and swapping it until it's the pizza you want. Other wise, it is OUTRAGEOUS how expensive toppings are. You are not given any working room on the custom pizza. Every single topping will have its individual charge, and a crazy one at that. Want a pesto base pizza with pepperoni? Instead of simply ordering one and paying extra, order their pepperoni listed on the menu and have them swap the sauce. It gets more inconvenient the more you want to customize it. read more

We ordered the large salad to share and we were able to serve ourselves second portions.
