The lox bagel was absolutely delicious -- fresh, flavorful, and those pickled onions took it to the next level. Truly top notch. The coffee was just as impressive. I tried the Thai Coffee and it was perfectly balanced, rich, and smooth. The seating areas feel intimate and cozy, whether you choose indoor or outdoor. It's the perfect spot for a relaxed morning, catching up with a friend, or even a first date. And as a real dog lover, the resident coffee shop retriever dogs made it even more inviting and special. This particular location is a truck in the food truck area of Kihei Marketplace and has both a walk up window and a drive thru. On the morning I was there, two people were working, one on each side. After looking over the menu I decided on a Haleakalatte and chose to get it hot. The menu described it as a deep rich caramel latte. As I watched the barista make my drink, I noticed it was going into a plastic cup, which meant iced. It ended up coming out as a large iced coffee. Since it wasn't a big deal, I took it and went on my way. The coffee itself ended up being pretty good. The caramel flavor was on the lighter side, adding some sweetness without overpowering the coffee. The coffee itself was rich and came through nicely. I also liked that they used coffee ice cubes, which helped prevent the drink from getting watered down as the ice melted. If anything, it added a slight bitterness, which I didn't mind. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. While I would have preferred the hot latte I ordered, the iced version worked out just fine and was still enjoyable.

We were greeted by 3 lovely baristas and they were sooo helpful in finding the order for me! I ordered an iced double shot espresso W/ simple syrup and 2% milk. They didn't even have 2% but was still able to manually make it for me!! Since then I've been making a stop. Kraken Coffee Maui- Kahului is coffee food truck which also has drive thru. I always walk up to the window for service. They are pretty busy with only one barista working usually. Supporting local at Kraken and my favorite that I order is the caramel macchiato, or the vanilla macadamia nut latte. Love the strong brewed blended taste of coffee with sweetness. I think it is way better than the other guys. Service is good, getting my drink after I order is quick & I usually pair it with a donut from KK. There are 2 Kraken coffee shop, Kahului and Kihei, they are Maui's local coffee shop and roastery.
