This pricey dessert place seems to be gradually cutting corners. Customers are now getting less of the ingredients, especially the shaved peanuts. In fact, that key ingredient is what makes the burrito wrap so good. Reducing the amount inevitably affects the overall taste and quality of the dessert. I hope this is just an isolated occurrence and not becoming the norm. Otherwise, it may be difficult to justify spending our hard-earned money there.
The ice cream was average. Nothing special. Came here because I read all the glowing reviews. Order 3 scoops with the macadamia nut brittle, added a buck for that. I had cookies and cream, green tea, and starwberry sorbet. The ice cream was average, the sorbet was below average. Lots of large chunks of ice in each bite. The brittle didn't add much to the flavor in my opinion. Would I come back here? Probably not.
When I first arrived, there was no one at the front register, though I could hear staff talking in the back. A staff member eventually came out, but she returned to the back without greeting me or asking if I needed assistance, despite seeing me looking at the menu. I almost left, but I managed to get her attention and place my order. While the initial customer service was lacking, the food was excellent. Both the coconut and Kona coffee flavors were delicious, and the peanut brittle was a great addition that provided a nice crunch.
Came here with my cousins after they highly recommended it. Cute shop with some outdoor seating. We got a plain ol' chocolate ice cream with mac nuts, a beautiful addition and 2 small crepes with 2 scoops of ice cream and mac nuts as well. What a great idea! Love that extra crunch when eating the crepes. The service was so friendly and SO patient while we were trying to figure out what flavors we wanted in our crepes. Thankfully we beat the crowd that came after we got our order. One of the owners also came around with samples of a product they are wanting to roll out soon so that was a lot of fun to give them our input. Support small business while enjoying a delicious dessert and talking story! Will definitely be back!!
We meant to get the crepe but forgot to order it in that style LOL. But nonetheless, the scoops were absolutely delicious. Service 5/5 Simple, quick, standard. Food 5/5 I had honeydew while my partner had chocolate. The strawberries and flakes were a cute touch and overall really enjoyed it! Ambiance 5/5 A good amount of outdoor seating.

To beat the heat, I will go just about anywhere. Mosa is on Lauula Street in Waikiki, found between Royal Hawaiian and Seaside Avenue. This cute little kiosk has a delicious Taiwanese ice cream crepe that is covered in fresh shaved peanut brittle. There was a lot of seating and some music piped in for atmosphere. It was a nice touch to have access to playing some Super Smash Brothers while you waited. The ube ice cream was delicious and the peanut topping was good enough to convince me to buy a couple of bars for home. Friendly service can be found here and they were so understanding that it was my first time there and I couldn't decide. #bigboyproblems
Nice cute little place by UH Manoa campus. They offer 5% off with a UH ID and $1 off if you pay with cash. Their menu is basically 2 options: ice cream with peanuts and strawberries in your choice of a crepe or a cup/bowl. We did one of each. There's a variety of ice cream flavors ranging from ube to honeydew mochi and you can choose up to 3 flavors. You can also choose from peanut drizzle or Mac nut drizzle ($1 more). Once they scoop your ice cream, they have a little station where they scrape the peanut drizzle from a big block directly onto your ice cream. Fun to watch! I got the crepe and chose 2 ice cream flavors: blueberry cheesecake and chocolate. My mom got the cup with matcha ice cream. I really enjoyed the crepe! The peanut drizzle was nicely spread throughout the crepe and added a nice touch to the ice cream. The cup wasn't as good in my opinion though because the peanut drizzle was only sprinkled on top and not as generously spread. I would come again, but I would only recommend ordering the crepe option.
I've been wanting to try this place for so long and it was worth it! I love peanut brittle so I really don't think I could go wrong here. I wish I tried the crepe but I just want that hungry at the time. The ice cream in a cup with the shaved peanut brittle was super good. They are open late if you get a sweet tooth before bed or after walking around Waikīkī.

Cute ice cream shop tucked away in a random street. I like how they also have a video game area where you can just play Smash Bros on the side. Pretty fun! This was my first time trying, so we got the matcha ice cream, vanilla, and cookies and cream in the crepe style. We also added the macadamia nut topping to it as well. It didn't take too long for our order to prepare since I wasn't too busy. First glance, it generally just looks like an ice cream burrito lol. We were also sharing so it was kinda hard to eat haha. The cookies and cream and vanilla ice cream were pretty good! The matcha ice cream though, it just tastes like the basic matcha ice cream you get at a japanese restaurant, not really quite authentic, but just "matcha flavored". I felt like the crepe itself didn't really elevate the ice cream experience, nor did the macadamia nuts on it. It just felt like an ice cream burrito and not a fancy ice cream crepe. The ice cream was really nice for the weather though.
Every time I come to MOSA, I have an amazing experience. From the desserts and the atmosphere to the outstanding customer service, everything is always top-notch. Honestly, whenever I see a review that's 4 stars or lower I genuinely don't understand why. The entire staff is trained to provide exceptional service and even the owners take the time to check in with customers to make sure they're enjoying their visit. It's clear that they truly care about both their product and their guests. If you're looking for a dessert spot with incredible service, delicious desserts, and great vibes, MOSA is the place to be. If I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would!
Great Hawaiian ice cream. Thick, creamy and delicious. Workers were very friendly, brought the ice cream to us, and checked to see how we liked it a couple of times. We added the grated macadamia nut topping for a little extra. Yummy!!

Drifted back to my hotel after an evening of anti-sobriety. I felt an urge to wander out into Waikiki on a side quest for something sweet and savory. It was about 10 and not much to choose from this late in the eve. Looked on Yelp and found a five-star spot that closed at midnight. A unicorn perhaps, or just paid social media BSers hyping up basura? And it was within walking distance. Let's go find out. MOSA is like in a backstreet off of the main Kalakaua drag. It's like a little hut with some outdoor seating out front. Simple menu that offers eight different flavors that you order in a cup or a crepe. Wanted something not too messy and just portable enough to eat from while walking back, so I got the cup. Got two scoops of ube and Kona coffe sprinkled with crushed mac nuts. DELICIOUS. Loved the texture...very creamy, almost chewy. Lovely textures. Flavors were on point, too. It's on the pricier side for ice cream, though, but I think it's worth it for what you're getting. (4.5 STARS) Such a cute local ice cream stand! They're known for adding roasted peanut sprinkles to their ice cream, and the crepe-style dessert seems to be their signature. I'll definitely have to come back to try that next time. // Single Scoop Cup (Kona Coffee) The single scoop comes in the cutest little flower pot with a tiny shovel spoon, which made it even more fun. The Kona coffee ice cream was incredibly smooth, rich, and creamy with a slightly stretchy texture that I really enjoyed. The roasted peanut sprinkles added a delicious crunch and subtle nutty flavor that complemented the ice cream perfectly. The service was also very friendly and quick! After a long day of walking around Waikiki, Mosa turned out to be the perfect evening treat. The ice cream was fantastic, but the real star for me was the peanut brittle topping, which added just the right amount of crunch and flavor to every bite. It's tucked away a little behind one of the main streets, so you might miss it if you're not looking for it, but it's still close enough to the action that finding it is easy. Sometimes those slightly hidden spots end up being the most rewarding. Between the delicious ice cream and that incredible peanut brittle, this was a sweet stop that was absolutely worth seeking out. read more

Such an adorable spot for a quick sweet treat. I ordered a 'Mosa Cup!' with one scoop of vanilla and peanut sprinkle. Such a simple concept, but it is sooo delicious. I feel like the peanut sprinkle helps elevate the flavor considerably, and hits the spot just right. The presentation is adorable as this comes in a cup that looks like a flower pot, with a shovel as a spoon. The workers were kind, and even checked up on us once we finished in the small seating area that they have up front. Definitely recommend to anyone in the area, you won't be disappointed. read more

Stopped by MOSA for a late night sweet treat. We skipped the wrap and went with the 2 scoop cup - Kona coffee and Coconut ice creams topped with their special shaved mac nut. Yummy! Would've liked more of the mac nut as it was that good. The ice creams were good, too - creamy! Staff were very friendly. Also, one can enjoy their treat while playing Mario Smash as the game is available for free - located on the side of the shop. read more

Fabula- MOSA! It tasted exactly how I imagined it to be. I was sifting through Yelp and found this cute little dessert/ice cream place. I was intrigued how it was all in a wrap! Yum. Their important ingredient was the peanuts! Sorry for all you peanut allergic people out there! The shaved peanut brittle was the cherry on the top for this wrap. So they take a crepe wrap and put the peanut shavings, then top it with scoop of ice-cream. We got the cookies and cream! Oh wow did it all blend together so well. They use what looks like pure peanut brittle. They have a macadamia option but it's seasonal. It was sooo good biting into this wrap. I could have honestly had another one. If I wasn't so full, I would have tried the macadamia one. Service was quick and the owner was really nice. Really puts a lot into his business and customers! Would love to come back again! read more

Located in Waikiki, we were looking for a late night dessert spot. MOSA said it was going to be open until midnight, so we decided to walk over. It was a small walk up dessert spot with a colorful exterior and some lights. There was some outdoor seating with tables and chairs around the entrance area. It had a friendly and warm atmosphere. The people working were sweet. We decided to get a cup of the matcha and a strawberry tanghulu. The cup of matcha with peanuts sprinkled on top was good. The matcha was not super strong, and had a more subtle flavor. The peanut flavor matched the matcha flavor in how strong they were. The tanghulu was good as well. Next time, we hope to try the wrap, which seems popular! read more

Between how it was our first night in town and with the weather so warm out, grabbing a cold, sweet treat for dessert felt like the perfect way to cap our night. Sadly, my favorite spot in Waikiki had already closed for the night, but perhaps it as a blessing in disguise because it gave us the chance to check out Mosa instead! After passing by a bunch of people standing in front of Mosa with their desserts on our way to dinner, we made a note to stop by on our way back. Just from what we could see as we were walking, everything looked great and this hole in the wall of a spot looked so colorful and bright lit up at night. Much like their size, Mosa's menu is also rather modest - their namesake "mosa", which comes as a crepe or in a cup along with your choice of eight different ice cream flavors, tanghulu, floats, and a cup of strawberries and chocolate sauce that you can add ice cream to. However, while their list of offerings may not be long, we were temped by nearly everything! -- MOSA CUP! with Kona Coffee Ice Cream, Ube Ice Cream, Strawberries, and Peanut Sprinkles...$8.95 Sure, you could argue this is "just" ice cream with a couple of toppings, but this was still no less delicious! Both scoops had a nice hit of their respective flavors and were quite creamy while the strawberries and peanuts complemented the ice cream, and eater other, so well! -- FROZEN STRAWBERRY TANGHULU...$7.95 As crazy as it is to say, given how warm of a night it was, these actually came out too cold for us to bite into! However, once they started to warm up a bit, they were perfect - the shell had a nice crunch and the strawberries tasted soft and chilled. Along with how good the ice cream was, the guys who run/own this place are super chill and friendly. In fact, the only regret I had from our visit here was not being able to take up their suggestion on trying the grape tanghulu (his favorite). Well, that and the fact that we were too full from dinner to tackle one of their crepes. Based on how good it looked and the number of folks who seemed to be thoroughly enjoying their orders, I'll definitely have to get one the next time I'm here. Not that I needed any more of a reason to come back! FOUR AND A HALF STARS rounded down for now. read more
I don't know how my man heard of this place but I am so glad he did because we drove all the way from the west side just to come here to Waikiki to try the crepe style mosa wrap! We got the regular and the mini crepe style mosa wrap with Ube and coconut ice cream, complete with their amazing peanut brittle shavings and a couple strawberries I need more I need to come again My man dropped me off while I got the order and he drove around the street I only saw that they had outdoor seating And there wasn't any street parkings so maybe just come with your friend while you order it and they can drive around the block to pick you back up ! I also got a tanghulu which is a fresh frozen strawberries on a shish-kabob bbq stick coated in a candy so when you bite it, it crunches I love it! These tanghulus would be great for an asmr mukbang video due to its excellent crunch and texture! Yes I highly recommend ! I need to come back asap! read more
Very impressed with Mosa! Unique dessert and probably one of the only spots on the island that serves Taiwanese ice cream with peanut candy shavings. The dessert looks unassuming but the combo was surprisingly good. My bf who isn't even really a dessert person liked it. We ordered the two scoop of coffee and oreo--equally good. We had dinner in the area and walked across the street for dessert, so I can't say how the parking situation is. The shop wasn't too crowded around 7pm, so our ice cream order came out fast. The ice cream is really unique! We love to get extra peanut shavings on our ice cream, as it gives it that yummy crunch. I got the two scoops and my other half ordered the crepe. Both were really good. There are a few seatings available on the outside where it's cute and cozy. The staff were so friendly and quick with our orders. We'll definitely be back! read more
