Their small size is pretty big and it's less than $4

Cheap guri guri type of ice cream. I've been here many times, but this was my 1st time trying this in almost 4yrs since returning for a visit. I always order the strawberry and blue vanilla combo. The small size is actually huge. The staff are fast and friendly. They only have a 2 stall parking lot and the rest are street parking. There is a bench for you to sit on to enjoy your desserts. They closed their other location in Aiea so this one is left.

Lovely as always. Tried the Diet Coke and strawberry float. Amazing. My kids think this place is super underrated. Service was quick too. The lady working was super nice. We will be back!

We came and purchased a blue vanilla and strawberry swirl float with Coke and condensed milk ($4 + $0.75 for the condensed milk). It only comes in one size (16 oz.). They give you the whole can of Coke, so you can just keep adding to the soft serve. We also got a bag of fresh buttered popcorn with extra butter, furikake and arare $5.75. Both items were good. I prefer the Coke float. It hit the spot on a hot day. The popcorn needed more butter and furikake.

Child nostalgia!!! Hole in the wall best snack after a long day in the office and a hot walk over. The workers are always so sweet. And pretty quick. Can't complain about the treats. My mini always loves an afterschool special snack and these make it perfect for her wishes.

What a cool place... The amount of time spent at New City Nissan you think I'd be here more often lol! Hidden down Umi Street which is right beside the dealership just past the storage place is this sweet place and yes parking is impossible in this area but they do have two stalls right beside the shop. Luckily I did manage to grab a stall and check out what they have to offer today as the flavors are posted clearly and ordering is easy first you choose a flavor, then the style (soft serve, shake, float or parfait) and third any toppings which all are additional. It was a Strawberry float and they have Coke or Sprite as the soda so it was Sprite and what they do is fill the cup with the soft serve and top it with soda and was surprised they gave me the rest of the can...no straw...no spoon!? Unlike before no seating as well so I stood there looking around with a cup and a soda can...hmmm! I didn't make the greatest choice it was okay and should've kept it simple and sadly it all went to waste and just a note if you're unsure you can sample any flavor which I encourage you to do so but I did grab a couple bags of popcorn in the fun color that's representing the Super Bowl teams (SF/KC) lol! Fun treats are definitely found here besides the usual like the Crispy Bar is new to me and with treats like these is always a party here. Thank you!

Tucked away on Umi Street, this place is a gem! The sorbet is scrumptious! The gigantic Oreo cookie made for an extra special treat. My favorite is the lihing sorbet topped with extra lihing powder. I am salivating as I write this review. There are daily flavors, as well as additional pint size flavors and various sorbet in the refrigerator/freezer in front to choose from. Hot dogs and popcorn also. A plethora of desserts available for even the pickiest taste buds. Parking on site and on the street. Area is clean. Security cameras throughout. I will return to Samurai. Support local businesses, folks.

After I heard the Samurai in Aiea closed down, I was determined to make it to the one remaining location open on the island, by Dillingham. I made a special trip out here with my son to get some of their treats. Parking is only two stalls, or some on the street, if you're lucky. The place is locked down, literally, so you have to press a buzzer. There were security cameras all around, so we stood around a few minutes waving at the camera and trying to smile and not look like crazy people. There were also locks on the outdoor freezers, and good for them, because there's a lot of thieves and scary people just helping themselves to whatever they can nowdays! I wish I wrote this review sooner because I don't remember how much we paid for our Hawaiian Frost in cups. I believe it may have been $4 each. Son got the Mint Chocolate and I got the Strawberry Vanilla. Both our frosties had giant oreo cookies on them as garnish...totally loved it!!! I grew up with these flavors and I wanted my son to try them too. I was alarmed that one of the stores permanently closed down so I wanted to make a trip out here to enjoy their treats and to support their business. RETURN FACTOR: totally will return, too bad they are not closer! Next time if we have mainland guests and friends will take them here as one of the stops near Bishop Museum.

Took my husband and kids here on a hot Saturday. To my surprise, my husband has never never been here before and he's lived in Kalihi for yearssss! Anyway, we got here and there were no customers so we were stoked that we didn't have to wait in a line. We had to ring the bell for service because there it looked like they were closer. Someone came right away though. Ordering was such a tough task for my family because they wanted everything! We appreciated how the cashier was very patient with us. After ordering, they got our Samurai very quickly ready. And boyyy, it was delicious! Loved the soft served flavors. This is now our go to treat after football games.

A great place for a quick treat. There were 2 parking spots available and we happened to come at a time when they were both open. The flavors of the soft serve are good and I like that the flavors rotate depending on the day. Our soft serves also came with a free cookie. They have plenty of other sweet treats to choose from as well. There's no seating available, but we just ate ours in the car.

Haven't been in forever but it was such a hot day after my daughter's graduation ceremony that we decided to come by over here since Ubae's soft serve machine is always broken . I haven't been here in ages so I was so surprised that there was parking available right in the driveway! I remember coming here back in the day and there wasn't even street parking available. Cashier wasn't around when we first approached the store, we rang the buzzer and someone came out pretty quickly. I love samurai, I would rather have this over ice cream it is so good! I know you can get it in store pretty much anywhere in those cups but nothing beats having it soft serve style. There was even a couple of benches available to eat at right by the counter. So happy this place is still around, definitely a local favorite!

Love samurai when I'm in need of a nice cool treat! My favorite flavors are melona, strawberry, & vanilla. The workers are friendly & service is quick. It's a cute little shop in Kalihi. The only thing that's junk is the parking. There's only 2 parking stalls so I would recommend going with someone else so that one of you can hop out and grab your treats.

Looking for dessert in the area our first choice had no parking. It was suggested we go to Samurai on Umi St tucked in the industrial area in Kalihi. Parking here is also a problem. I GOT lucky to park in one of the two stalls they have. The soft serve is refreshing. service was a one person operation. . So it took a while to order and then get our order. Suggest you go to the Aiea location. Enjoy

On a hot Hawaii day this is definitely a must! So happy I didn't have to drive all the way to aiea and could still get this sweet treat. There were lots of ice cakes in the freezer to choose and a couple flavors for the soft serve. 4 parking spot in front of the store but also street parking. The staff was super nice and attentive. Samurai is a local staple next shave ice. Yummy!!! (:

Yes they're open. M-F open until 4:00pm last I checked. I think they open at 9am, not sure.

    Yes.

    Are there dairy free options?

I believe the frozen treats that they sell here all have some kind of dairy in it. If you're lactose intolerant, you maybe out of luck.
