10/10!!! Let me just say.... Who thinks of creme brûlée over ice cream!?!? Ahhhhhhhhh!!!!! Kept it simple with vanilla ice cream and creme brûlée. Tried the banana oat milk and the one and they were ok, I feel like keeping it simple with the vanilla with creme brûlée was clutch. Service was quick and the staff super sweet. The decor inside is hilarious and perfect. Gonna have to add this to my rotation when I visit!
I quite like this spot for soft serve! Thrills is an ice cream shop located in the Ala Moana area, right on Piikoi Street. You generally have to find parking along the street, which is relatively limited depending on the time of day, as there are a couple street parking spots in front of the shop that are often occupied. The shop itself is clean and bright with a modern glam design (marble print tables, pops of pink), and there are some tables/booth seating available if you'd like to enjoy your food indoors. Service is quick and friendly. There are several soft serve flavors and toppings that you can choose from, and there are some popular combo recommendations on their menu. I got the ube ice cream with oreo as a topping, and it came out very quickly! I overall enjoyed what I got, as I thought it was sweet, creamy, and overall hit the spot. I would love to come back to try their other flavors if I ever get a late night craving for soft serve.
Can't stop thinking about how tasty the cookie butter creme brûlée was! Service was super fast and the ladies were very friendly. Definitely hope to go back for more soon.
If you like soft serve and happened to be in the area, this is a place to visit. It does have specialty items to select. The place is small inside with sofa seating and a few tables; there is also outside seating as well. Four star rating is given since I didnt find any thing outstanding on the items or service.
Thrills has a parking lot behind their shop, but I didn't realize that it's now a QR code system where you have to pay. I like how they renovated their shop to add new seating. All of their desserts are very creative. I got the hojicha creme brûlée, which is one of my favorite things from here. The creme brûlée topping is so good and has the perfect amount of crunch on the top. The only bummer thing about the creme brûlée is that you can't get their weekly special flavors as the ice cream. This is definitely one of my go-to dessert shops after having dinner in the area.
I only tried one thing so I can only give my opinion on this; the banana oat milk flavor in chocolate cone! Yummy!!! I'm not even vegan or anything but it just sounded good. And wow was it delicious. Their flavors change so I made a good decision. It was light yet creamy and substantial. The crispy chocolate cone much like an Oreo, complemented the banana flavor so well. I wish I could go back for another! My son got the Japanese soda flavor with crème brulee topping and he enjoyed it. Owners were nice and patient when I was so indecisive. No one was waiting in line yet so. Oh and there was a sign that said no samples which is understandable, I don't really sample anyway, I like to gamble ha! It's cute in there with lots of signs. And my favorite color pink. Ample seating, beat the heat this summer with chill and Thrills!
Loved the warm greeting when I came in through the door. They answered my questions and let me know how ordering works: they have non dairy flavors on soft serve and pre frozen flavors for the premade crème brûlée. The soft serve can be made into a crème brûlée, no problem. I ordered the Nutella Oreo crème brûlée. They took 2 minutes in the back, and then torched the sugar at the counter. It was super cool! The egg custard was a sweet thin layer over the cold ice cream.
Good soft serve for when you want a sweet treat. I got the ube with Cinnamon Toast Crunch. I like that you can get a topping for free too. Really friendly staff.
The crème brûlée cookie dough ice cream is dangerously good. The custardy crème brûlée flavor is rich and creamy without being too sweet, and the cookie dough pieces are generous and perfectly soft. The caramelized sugar notes add a subtle crunch and a deep, toasted flavor that takes it to another level. Every bite has a great balance -- smooth, indulgent ice cream with just the right amount of texture from the cookie dough. It tastes decadent but not heavy, which somehow makes you want to keep eating more. If you're a dessert person, this flavor is a must-try. I'd absolutely order it again.
I really enjoyed my experience here :) The worker that helped me was very kind and attentive in answering all my questions. I came for the Big Island Cookie collab ice cream and it was sooo good. The cookies infused with the soft serve reminded me of Kith Treats... I wish they kept it and that it wasn't limited to only a few days. The ube soft serve was very good too! I've tried it in soft serve form and in the Creme Brulee version. Both very good! Will definitely be back - the interior is super cute and they open later than other dessert places which caters to people like me - who come alive at night lol
We walked over for dessert after eating at Totoya across the street. It was my first time here even though I pass it all the time. There was a constant stream of customers for the 20 minutes that we were in the store. It's a cute ice cream shop with lots of catchy phrases on the walls. We decided on one of the popular combos, Sugar Baby $8.50. It contained sprinkles, teddy grahams, chocolate chips, Oreos, Cocoa Pebbles and Chocolate Pocky's. We had a choice of soft serve and we got the Oreo. We were expecting vanilla ice cream with bits of Oreos in it. However, the ice cream was just brown. It tasted like chocolate ice cream. The Sugar Baby wasn't bad. It was just too much chocolate for me. It would have been better if it was true Oreo ice cream. What caught my eye was the creme brûlée ice cream. Someone ordered that and it looked pretty dope. The ice cream was on the bottom and they blow torched some kind of sugary coating on the top until it hardened. I want to try that the next time I'm here.
This place has been here and while and I never stopped because I don't really love soft serve. Recently we went to dinner at a place nearby that didn't have any dessert options so we decided to try out Thrills. I had low expectations (again not a huge fan of soft serve) and thought it was mostly a place centered around Instagram foodie shots but I went when they had a special collab with Aiea bowl and offered a lemon crunch cake crème brûlée. I'm not kidding that I think it's one of the best desserts I've had in recent memory. Please please do this collab again, it was so good. My daughter got the ube soft serve sugar baby, she gave it a 10/10 on appearance and taste. Parking can be limited, the parking lot in the back was full when we went and so was street parking. So we had to wait for someone to leave, it only took a couple of minutes. Overall, nice setting, good place to fulfill your sweet tooth, and super cute aesthetic.
This was my first time trying out Thrills, and I really enjoyed it. The location is easy to find and convenient. There is an ally next to the shop with some parking. Ala Moana mall is also close enough to park at and walk over. The inside is clean with a good amount of seating. Staff members were very friendly and helpful with making my decision of what to get. I got the crème brûlée cosmic brownie ice cream. It was really good!

Thrills has a lot to take in on their menu, so the Libra in me took forever to decide what I wanted. I finally settled on the Crème Brûlée and was very happy with my choice. Creamy, delicious, and almost too pretty to eat. This is another great spot for those Instagrammable foodie pictures. Their creations satisfy your eyes and your tastebuds at the same time. The hardest part might actually be deciding what to order. read more
Cute place with lots of decor! Parking is located in the back. Orders come with one free topping. Would rec the taro lavender, super yummy and. Would discourage getting the honey strawberry latte. Very bitter and was not able to taste the honey or strawberry. read more

Thrills 7 years anniversary and they celebrated with a BTS theme. It was good timing because BTS is doing their ARIRANG WORLD TOUR right now. I picked their Sprinkle Me ice cream which is a cup filled with madagascar vanilla ice cream, smeared with buttercream frosting on top, and finished with a lot of sprinkles. It was pretty good. I like vanilla ice cream and frosting with sprinkles gave it a classic birthday cake vibe. My favorite was the Japanese Purin soft serve. A custard ice cream with a hint of brown sugar taste and I added reese's pieces to make it better. Also, thrills gave out BTS Arirang tour photo cards and an army (BTS fan) gave me RM: right people, wrong place photo cards from RM's concert film documentary. Thank you to them. Whether you're a BTS fan or not, I like that they celebrated their anniversary with a theme that they love and shared with the community. Thrills is my go-to restaurant for soft serve in town. Their vibe is playful, branding is fun, service is fast, and provide plentiful seating in and outside the restaurant. They have plenty of choices that include soft serve, sundaes, and lactos-free options. My go-to is the Cookie Butter Sundae with the banana oat-milk soft serve. A great choice if you are looking for ice cream or a nice cold treat in town. read more

The service wasn't the friendliest, but maybe because it was an hour before closing. The matcha had a strong, legit flavor that leaned more intense and slightly bitter instead of sugary sweet, which I actually loved because it tasted like real matcha. The ube was good too, just a bit more mellow compared to other places. The star for me though was the creme brûlée. That little caramelized top with the creamy center was honestly the best part. read more

I've been going here for years, how have I never written a review??? My favorite ice cream place on the island! It's rare that an insta-worthy food place is ALSO delicious. Their Asian inspired flavors are always so fun, unique,and nostalgic, and they don't mess around with the toppings! The crème brûlée that they've been doing for the past year has been life changing. I need the Dubai crème brûlée to be a permanent menu item it's so good It's a little pricey but these days what isn't? They put a lot of thought and love into their flavors and you can really tell, it's more than worth it. Love you Thrills read more

Delicious refreshing and so ono! The shop was super busy and for good reason. Yummy! There was just one person working and he made every dessert with care and speed! We did not have to wait long and it was worth the wait. Everyone should try this place! read more
Again, this is another place where I think I bought into the IG influencers. The place is in town so I understand the problem with parking and small spaces. The aesthetics is cool. The ice cream and cream brulee is tastly. The service is good. But I think its another place where they assume you know their menu and how to order there. And yet another place where the influencers show things that actually have to be created but not on the menu as a stand alone item. Its not a bad place, just not for me. read more

Wanted ice cream after dinner. Searched a place and this was the top place which popped up. Got a creme brulee topped hot cocoa soft serve. The creme brulee was great! I loved the crunchy topping. Soft serve was ok. For $8.50. It's super expensive and small compared to what you get for $6 or $7 at other places. You also get less ice cream with the creme brulee vs with a topping. Their Outside table area smelt like old vomit or piss and inside, the tables were sticky. Workers were nice though and there was a steady stream of people coming through for a random week night read more
We got to this spot a little before they opened. I watched so many videos of the goodness that this place serves. I have to say that it wasn't worth my drive from Ewa Beach to the Ala Moana area. We both got the creme brulee ice cream. At $8.50 for a little cup, I was ready to be blown away. Nope. I mean, it was just ... good. But not $8.50 and a 45 minute drive from Ewa Beach good, ya know? I got the honey milk which, to be honest, tasted like a sweeter vanilla. He got the ube flavor and he said it was okay. Not much of an ube flavor, but what does a flavor filled ube ice cream taste like anyway? I'm told there is parking behind the building but we parked at Ala Moana and walked over. Maybe we'll try this place again if/when they decide to do the Dubai Chocolate Strawberry cups again. read more

Food: The food at Thrills was visually appealing and tasted good. For my personal preference, the flavors leaned on the sweeter side, though I generally prefer more salty or savory foods. That said, I still finished my combo ice cream. Overall, our party enjoyed the food, especially considering it was our first time trying the place. Service: The staff was friendly and helpful. I let them know it was my first visit and that I wasn't sure how ordering worked, and they clearly explained the process, toppings, and price points. This was appreciated since the menu wasn't very clear upon entry and felt a bit overstimulating at first, though manageable once explained. Ambiance: The atmosphere was clean and very mainstream. There are two long tables on either side of the space, making it suitable for large groups. Seating felt practical and accommodating rather than cozy. read more

Food: Fun menu! Simple ordering process. Quality photos to help you decide. Flavors are vibrant! They made my gourmet sugar cone to order, which I found impressive since I was expecting pre-made. (hot fudge w/ pistachio) Service: For 1 staff member, bradda did a great job holding it down! He didn't rush the process, pleasantly greeted each customer, and had a calm demeanor. Line got a little long but there was awesome backdrops and merch to keep you busy. Plus, with such a good menu -- you need the extra time to make a solid decision! MISC: Parking lot is behind the shop. Wait to get inside the shop to scan their QR code for validation. It was a first time visit and I definitely plan to revisit. My family enjoyed it. read more

Life is sweeter with Thrills Soft Serve. You can find them on Piikoi Street. Good luck with parking. It's street parking and limited. Make sure to bring lots of quarters too. We tried Chocolate MacNut. It's banana oatmilk soft serve with Ghirardelli chocolate, powdered sugar and macadamia nuts. You can change the soft serve flavors but the oatmilk is great if you're lactose intolerant ;) For those who love ube and something purple, we also tried their ube soft serve with the charcoal cone. The ube is missing the ube flavor but it's definitely a pretty purple, lightly sweetened soft serve. It's not ube though! The charcoal cone tasted a regular cone. They also have the crème brûlée with soft serve of your choice. It's a good pair with banana oatmilk soft serve. The name caught my attention so I had to try their Slay b!tch Slay with ube soft serve. Again the ube is missing the ube flavor but it's got the pretty purple color and lightly sweetened soft serve. But it's not ube!!! The store is small and cute! I love the decorations they have. They have two sides with cute background for taking pictures. The staff was working by herself. Despite the busy foot traffic, she remained calm and smiled the whole time. This is a plus! I don't know if this is normal but there should be at least two, at the minimum, working. Cute little ice creamery near Ala Moana. Clean interior with a handful of seating inside. Staff is friendly and helpful if you have any questions about their menu. The creme brulee topping on the ice cream is tasty, but could use a thicker sugar layer to build a better crack that the dessert is known for. Halohalo was also decent, but not the best I've had. My daughter wanted to try the viral Dubai Chocolate Strawberries that she saw on TikTok. So, being the foodie I am, I immediately got on Yelp- to all of you wonderful contributors out there, MAHALO- we found Thrills Soft Serve! We walked in and were immediately greeted by the staff. We ordered, paid, and about 2 mins later the worker reappeared with the container of strawberries. It looked so delicious! We took our first bite and had a "Nara Smith" moment. IYKYK! Craving was satisfied! My once hangry child was now her normal self. We went back with a friend later that day and ordered the cookie butter sundae. The soft serve was banana oat flavor with cookie butter drizzled on it covered with Bischoff cookie crumbs. It was an interesting combo, but tasty. There's seating inside: long benches and individual seats with round tables that could be moved to accommodate larger groups. The walls have cute backdrops that are perfect for picture taking. If you're in the area, don't sleep on this location. There's so much to try! read more
I love me a sweet treat after a meal. I've honestly only tried one flavor here but it's the reason I keep coming back. Something about their honey milk with coco puffs just hits the spot for me. Their flavor changes or rotates so I would recommend checking their insta regarding what flavors they have. The workers are nice and helpful with ordering. All of my encounters have been really good. This fun soft serve place is open till 10 pm if you're looking for a sweet spot late at night. You can get cups for $5 for sundaes for $8.50. Being lactose intolerant we were happy they had banana oat milk options. We decided on the chocolate Mac nut sundae which was good. Very Instagramable with lots of fun photo ops and the now ubiquitous neon sign in front of an artificial plant background. Baby, I don't need dollar bills to have fun tonight (I love cheap thrills) Glad they open late! Got the lavender matcha(?), which tasted more like just matcha. Got it in a cup with strawberry cereal(?) which the young woman suggested. The ice cream is nice and creamy and hit the spot! Great little shop with some adjacent restaurants. Came here for dessert and got a peach mango sorbet in an ube vanilla cone. It came with a choice of 1 free cereal; I chose recees peanut butter crunch. I shoulda picked something more fruitier to match the peach mango flavor. The sorbet had a nice bright flavor and smooth texture. The vanilla ube cone had a nice crispy crust but I don't know that I got ube flavor. I'd just stick with a normal cone or go with a bowl. My friend got the kopiko (coffee candy) Oreo crème brûlée. So the coffee Oreo flavored yogurt with a brûlée top. They enjoyed it and the top looked properly torched. Service was friendly and answered any questions we had. I paid for metered parking on the street but I saw a sign inside saying there was 2 hours free parking so I'm guessing in the lot across the street? Nice cool refreshing treat read more

Tried Thrills Ice Cream, and honestly, it was just so-so. The flavors sounded exciting, but the taste didn't really deliver. Nothing stood out enough to make me want to come back. It's one of those places you try once and that's enough. Otherwise, it's a cute spot to just grab ice cream. read more
