    Banana oatmilk with chocolate cone
    Noel S.

I only tried one thing so I can only give my opinion on this; the banana oat milk flavor in chocolate cone! Yummy!!! I'm not even vegan or anything but it just sounded good. And wow was it delicious. Their flavors change so I made a good decision. It was light yet creamy and substantial. The crispy chocolate cone much like an Oreo, complemented the banana flavor so well. I wish I could go back for another! My son got the Japanese soda flavor with crème brulee topping and he enjoyed it. Owners were nice and patient when I was so indecisive. No one was waiting in line yet so. Oh and there was a sign that said no samples which is understandable, I don't really sample anyway, I like to gamble ha! It's cute in there with lots of signs. And my favorite color pink. Ample seating, beat the heat this summer with chill and Thrills!

Good soft serve for when you want a sweet treat. I got the ube with Cinnamon Toast Crunch. I like that you can get a topping for free too. Really friendly staff.

Delicious refreshing and so ono! The shop was super busy and for good reason. Yummy! There was just one person working and he made every dessert with care and speed! We did not have to wait long and it was worth the wait. Everyone should try this place!

The crème brûlée cookie dough ice cream is dangerously good. The custardy crème brûlée flavor is rich and creamy without being too sweet, and the cookie dough pieces are generous and perfectly soft. The caramelized sugar notes add a subtle crunch and a deep, toasted flavor that takes it to another level. Every bite has a great balance -- smooth, indulgent ice cream with just the right amount of texture from the cookie dough. It tastes decadent but not heavy, which somehow makes you want to keep eating more. If you're a dessert person, this flavor is a must-try. I'd absolutely order it again.

I really enjoyed my experience here :) The worker that helped me was very kind and attentive in answering all my questions. I came for the Big Island Cookie collab ice cream and it was sooo good. The cookies infused with the soft serve reminded me of Kith Treats... I wish they kept it and that it wasn't limited to only a few days. The ube soft serve was very good too! I've tried it in soft serve form and in the Creme Brulee version. Both very good! Will definitely be back - the interior is super cute and they open later than other dessert places which caters to people like me - who come alive at night lol

We walked over for dessert after eating at Totoya across the street. It was my first time here even though I pass it all the time. There was a constant stream of customers for the 20 minutes that we were in the store. It's a cute ice cream shop with lots of catchy phrases on the walls. We decided on one of the popular combos, Sugar Baby $8.50. It contained sprinkles, teddy grahams, chocolate chips, Oreos, Cocoa Pebbles and Chocolate Pocky's. We had a choice of soft serve and we got the Oreo. We were expecting vanilla ice cream with bits of Oreos in it. However, the ice cream was just brown. It tasted like chocolate ice cream. The Sugar Baby wasn't bad. It was just too much chocolate for me. It would have been better if it was true Oreo ice cream. What caught my eye was the creme brûlée ice cream. Someone ordered that and it looked pretty dope. The ice cream was on the bottom and they blow torched some kind of sugary coating on the top until it hardened. I want to try that the next time I'm here.

LITERALLY SO YUMMYYY! Service is so fast too. I loveeee their different flavors, and the crème brulee is top tier. The interior and merch is cute too. Perfect dessert spot if you're going Ala's or in town!

Sugar baby with ube soft serve

This place has been here and while and I never stopped because I don't really love soft serve. Recently we went to dinner at a place nearby that didn't have any dessert options so we decided to try out Thrills. I had low expectations (again not a huge fan of soft serve) and thought it was mostly a place centered around Instagram foodie shots but I went when they had a special collab with Aiea bowl and offered a lemon crunch cake crème brûlée. I'm not kidding that I think it's one of the best desserts I've had in recent memory. Please please do this collab again, it was so good. My daughter got the ube soft serve sugar baby, she gave it a 10/10 on appearance and taste. Parking can be limited, the parking lot in the back was full when we went and so was street parking. So we had to wait for someone to leave, it only took a couple of minutes. Overall, nice setting, good place to fulfill your sweet tooth, and super cute aesthetic.

This was my first time trying out Thrills, and I really enjoyed it. The location is easy to find and convenient. There is an ally next to the shop with some parking. Ala Moana mall is also close enough to park at and walk over. The inside is clean with a good amount of seating. Staff members were very friendly and helpful with making my decision of what to get. I got the crème brûlée cosmic brownie ice cream. It was really good!

Thrills is my go-to restaurant for soft serve in town. Their vibe is playful, branding is fun, service is fast, and provide plentiful seating in and outside the restaurant. They have plenty of choices that include soft serve, sundaes, and lactos-free options. My go-to is the Cookie Butter Sundae with the banana oat-milk soft serve. A great choice if you are looking for ice cream or a nice cold treat in town.

@fortunefoodfinds: "THRILL seeker! A Slay B***h Slay with choice ube soft serve n' a Banana Bread Creme Brulee from Thrills Soft Serve. Seriously been forever, but the soft serve is just as good as I remember!" Staff: friendly Interior: limited seating Exterior: near Ala Moana Center Wait time: no line, dessert made under 5 mins Parking: metered street or back lot that is free depending on day/time Overall comments: it's been years I believe since my last visit. Still a cute n' colorful spot with nice backgrounds to take a photo. Was helped out right away. The ube soft serve still had its creamy n' yummy ube flavor. It was extremely fun for my kids with the sprinkles, pocky, n' Oreos. The creme brulee was nice n' unique with the banana bread soft serve. Am always discouraged to go bc of the parking, but I'm glad I recently learned about the back lot. Look forward to what creations they come up with next!

    DUBAI CRÈME BRÛLÉE

I've been going here for years, how have I never written a review??? My favorite ice cream place on the island! It's rare that an insta-worthy food place is ALSO delicious. Their Asian inspired flavors are always so fun, unique, and nostalgic, and they don't mess around with the toppings! The crème brûlée that they've been doing for the past year has been life changing. I need the Dubai crème brûlée to be a permanent menu item it's so good It's a little pricey but these days what isn't? They put a lot of thought and love into their flavors and you can really tell, it's more than worth it. Love you Thrills

    Samantha L.

The service wasn't the friendliest, but maybe because it was an hour before closing. The matcha had a strong, legit flavor that leaned more intense and slightly bitter instead of sugary sweet, which I actually loved because it tasted like real matcha. The ube was good too, just a bit more mellow compared to other places. The star for me though was the creme brûlée. That little caramelized top with the creamy center was honestly the best part.

It's the kind of spot you're most likely to discover while wandering in or out of Ginza Bairin, following a luxurious tonkatsu meal craving something cold and refreshing. The setup is refreshingly no-frills: medium styrofoam cups, flavors handwritten in Sharpie, and two separate freezers dividing ice cream and sorbet. The texture runs on the firmer side, which actually works in its favor -- your scoop holds up beautifully in the island heat and doesn't melt into a puddle five minutes later. Given the generous portions, you probably won't be refreezing leftovers anyway. The tropical fruit sorbets are the clear stars, made with fresh fruit and bursting with natural flavor. Mango, lychee, and guava taste vibrant and authentic -- bright, fragrant, and not overly sweet due to the natural acidity from using real fruit. Beyond the classics, there are some fun and unexpected options like corn cheese, durian, and avocado for the more adventurous palate. The standout for me, though, was the Kona coffee ice cream. It avoids the common trap of being cloyingly sweet and instead leans into a rich, dark, nutty undertone with an intense coffee essence that lingers in the best way. It feels grown-up and balanced -- deeply satisfying without overpowering. Whether you're looking for the perfect palate cleanser after tonkatsu or just want a cold treat while strolling through Waikiki, Henry's Place delivers simple, memorable scoops that taste like they're made with care. The sorbets were rock hard and super hard to eat. Might've been easier on a hotter day but felt like we could barely get anything and had to tear the styrofoam and bite it like a giant popsicle. Coffee was good. Probably needed to try it on a hotter day but found it underwhelming.

Another colleague and I jumped at the opportunity to tag along on a Friday early afternoon. Located down Umi Street not too far from neighboring New City Nissan on N King Street, Samurai moved to their current location in 1995 serving Maui style sherbet, popcorn and other local snacks. They also expanded to Samurai Snacks Aiea for an impressive 20+ years before closing its doors in May 2023. We arrived shortly after lunch time where we pondered at the menu wondering what to get. It's not fancy here at Samurai - - the storefront is basic and nothing fancy with a few seats patrons can sit on if they decide to eat their treats on premise. Morale has been low at the office so I decided to get some convenient prepackaged 4oz assorted Samurai cups to cheer up the staff. My colleagues also picked up some bags of buttered popcorn with mochi crunch and furikake for an informal office party to welcome the much needed weekend. Because we were already there, we also got some soft serve cups to cool down before heading back to the office. My colleagues had the classic strawberry and blue vanilla swirl and I selected the mango. My colleagues enjoyed their selection but the mango didn't live up to my expectations. The color was vibrant and enticing but sadly the mango flavor did not come through. Each cup came with a sugar roll cookie that was delicious. After our cold treat we headed back to the office with our surprise for our colleagues where it was a big hit. There were many happy faces standing in line grabbing some popcorn and a 4-oz cup of Samurai. Overall, a much better experience with Samurai that's deserving of an update with higher marks. It has been noted in my books to stick to flavors I'm already aware of and avoid trying new ones for that possible disappointment that often happens to me.
