I was in the area and had to stop for ice cream after seeing a dairy-free mango sticky rice flavor on the menu. Super creamy and perfectly sweet. Second scoop of Pandan matcha flavor was spot on as well! The waffle cone wasn't as crunchy as I would like it to be so I'll stick to a cup next time. The line was quick. I'll definitely come back to try all of the dairy-free options.
TL;DR: Love the Asian flavors like mango sticky rice, yuzu, and shiso. The actual ice cream and sorbet bases are very good. Limited indoor and outdoor seating. 1/ FOOD: They serve both ice cream and sorbet with familiar Asian flavors like yuzu and shiso but also novel flavors like mango sticky rice and miso salted caramel. They also have good Kona coffee ice cream, with the Kona coffee from the local Tradition Coffee Roasters. 2/ SERVICE: Friendly staff. Free samples. 3/ VALUE: The smallest size only allows one flavor. The next size up has a minor up charge for two flavors in the same cup, but it's just north of $6 for a lot of ice cream. 4/ VIBES: The indoor seating is limited to two tables but the benches extend to the outside. Even if you can't sit, you can stand around the shop on the side walk or along neighboring walls... there is a lot of space!
Another stop at Please Come Again - so glad they had their Kona Snow available it's my favorite and worth the upcharge! The gals here are supper nice and I love all the new flavors! It's always a great stop and friendly service
Ice cream! Ice cream ! You scream for ice cream! What a treat. Small shop in Kailua, HI. I want to try all but for sure it will be too rich. Different flavors here of Asian Cuisine. Rosy Lichee, Hokey Poke, Vietnamese coffee, Ube, And much more. Service is fast for one server during our time . Place is clean and open air, however we had a visitor greeting us . A gecko of all things. It did not change the cleanliness of this place. I would recommend this place for a treat. On the pricey side but it was worth it.
This is a perfect place to visit after doing the Kayak tour in Kailua. There are the classic flavors as well as special flavors, and you can try tasting of as many flavors as you want. I chose the flight of four flavors and was very satisfied with the different types of ice cream.
Will definitely be "coming again" as the name suggests! I love this hip family-owned ice cream shop, which features fun and unique flavors from around the island, such as shiso mint chip, manoa dark chocolate mac nut, mango sticky rice, etc. I tried both the mango sticky rice and the ube crunch, and loved both. The ice cream is delicious with the perfect creamy consistency, and it truly makes you want to try more. Next time, I'll be eyeing the ice cream flight!
We passed by Please Come Again on our way to an appointment and I was excited to stop in to try it out. It's a small ice cream spot with some really fun flavors. It was hard to choose but we ended up with a single scoop of Yuzu Sorbet ($5.95) and a Keiki scoop of Lilikoi Blue Haupia ($4.75). Both were vegan and gluten free. We both loved the Yuzu Sorbet the best, it had a good texture and a citrus forward flavor. Perfectly refreshing on a hot day. The Lilikoi Blue Haupia was creamy but didn't have as creamy a texture, it kind of spooned out in flakes versus spoonfuls. The flavor was good but I wanted more Lilikoi. The person working the counter was friendly, but we also felt weird asking for samples so we just ordered right away without trying anything first and that may have made a difference in our final experience. I would visit again to try more flavors but would stick to the sorbets or sample more before deciding next time.
Cute ice cream shop in Kailua! We decided to check out Please Come Again after hearing great reviews from friends. It was also a nice mixup to our typical McDonald's ice cream or Baskin Robbin's routine. I got the banana matcha and my bf got the Oreo. They also had other cool flavors like mango sticky rice and Vietnamese coffee. I thought the matcha flavor was perfect, even better than some matcha lattes I've had in the past! I also really liked that they gave sample spoons to try some of the flavors and when we took a cup to go, they had lids for easy transport. Overall the service was really good, the shop was clean, and most importantly the ice cream was a 10/10.

Cute little ice cream shop right off the main drag. The decor is cute and fun. The staff are so friendly. We were able to trial flavors of the ice cream-all of which were amazing. The ice cream is all made here in Kailua, which is even better to know you're supporting local businesses. I got the affogato with Vietnamese iced coffee ice cream and it was an amazing combo. You won't be disappointed if you come :)))
Wow. There aren't enough words or stars to convey how I feel about this ice cream shop. The flavors were perfectly balanced, rich, and interesting. The storefront was very clean and well maintained. The service was fast and friendly. But even if everything sucked and all they had was the ice cream I would still give them 5 stars because the ice cream is truly incredible.
We got here a little after 7pm and a lot of items were out. I really wanted to try the rose lychee and mango sticky rice. Those two were out as well as the waffle cone. I ended up getting the lilikoi lychee sorbet and miso salted caramel $9.50. The hubby got the miso salted caramel and cinnamon malasada $9.50. The miso salted caramel was ok. It just tasted like salted caramel. I couldn't really taste the miso. I really liked the lilikoi lychee sorbet. Those flavors blended nicely and hit the spot. The shop is open air. After a few minutes everything was melting. It was a hot day. I wish they would A/C the place.
Please Come Again is hands down one of my favorite ice cream spots on Oahu! They serve up local flavors that really capture the island vibe, and the rotating menu keeps things exciting every time I stop by. When they have the dipped waffle cone (especially the collab with Manoa Chocolate Factory) do yourself a favor and get it. It's absolute perfection. The ice creams here are as gorgeous as they are delicious, bright, bold, and packed with familiar yet one of a kind flavors that make this place stand out from your average scoop shop. They even offer flight options, so you can sample four different scoops (perfect for sharing... or not!). I've tried just about every flavor they've offered and loved each one. It's hard to pick a favorite, but since they let you sample, I always figure out what I'm craving in the moment, whether it's the refreshing yuzu sorbet or the rich, creamy Kona Coffee. My only tiny complaint? It gets hot inside, and the ice cream melts faster than you can eat it. I've learned to enjoy mine in the comfort of my car's AC. I love that this place is a true neighborhood gem, perfect for a treat after a day at the park or beach. Huge mahalo to the team for bringing this spot to Kailua and for using locally sourced ingredients. It's been one year since they blessed this town, here's to many more!
Solid, trendy ice cream spot in Kailua town! There's skateboards on the wall and merchandise as well. Across the library. They have many rotating flavors, and also sometimes secret flavors is what the lady in the front told me! My wife and I both got a split single with chiso mint chocolate, Manoa rocky road. The other was ube crunch and Vietnamese coffee. You can definitely taste the love they put in and it's a great date night spot out in Kailua. Check them out! read more

Needed to write a review for this ice cream shop because I miss it so much. It is absolutely delicious. I haven't been to the actual shop location, but I stayed in Alohilani Hotel during my visit in Hawaii and fell in loveeee with the pandan matcha flavor. I visited the ice cream cart multiple times! So happy that it is non dairy since I am lactose intolerant. I truly wished we had time to stop by the actual shop but unfortunately, couldn't! Will add this place as a must visit next time I visit the island!! read more

What a fun little spot on the heart of Kailua town. We stumbled upon this place after lunch and thankfully had a few extra minutes on our metered parking in the lot behind. We tried a few samples: Shiso mint chocolate, Kona snow, Vietnamese iced coffee. The Shiso mint chocolate was too subtle a Shiso flavor so I opted not to get it. We ended up getting a flight with milk chocolate, Vietnamese iced coffee, Kona snow, and yuzu sorbet. My two favorites were the yuzu for the little pieces of yuzu we found throughout the sorbet. A little syrupy but those little pieces were a treat. The one I was surprised about was the Kona snow. 1) For its coffee flavor in a very white color and 2) because it was actually more flavorful than the Vietnamese coffee. I am glad we tried it and would probably come back if they had other new flavors. Parking in the back is metered with card or coin payments accepted. There is an alley between the construction and building to get to this shop. It's right across from Kailua elementary on kuulei road. There are a few tables inside and bench seating shared with the outside. Fun fact: they have vegan ice cream! read more
Please Come Again is now one of my ABSOLUTE favorite ice cream spots! The first time I found out about Please Come Again was when I was wrapping up a beach day with a friend in Kailua, and I KNEW that I had to come back with my parents when they visited, so we did! After finishing up a little chocolate tasting over at Manoa Chocolate Factory, my parents and I made our way to Please Come Again, and it was so fitting because of how HOT it was outside. This time around, I got the Banana Cream Matcha and BOY I loved it!! It was predominantly the matcha flavor, but the little flash of banana in there was the PERFECT combination. If you love matcha, try this flavor for sure!! The other flavors we ordered were the Mango Sticky Rice (mom) and the Calamansi (dad). I didn't get to taste the Mango Sticky Rice, but I did get to taste the Calamansi and let me tell you that it is STRONG and VERY MUCH Calamansi. SO if you're a Calamansi lover, GET IT! It was so so yummy! Another thing I love about Please Come Again is the STAFF! The staff are always so welcoming and friendly, I love coming here every time. I will say that I've never gone here during their busy hours, so I'm not sure how crowded it gets, but there isn't much seating space if you're looking for a sit-down kind of ice cream shop. I've actually only just heard about this place recently and thought what a great day to come give them a try for the first time on national ice cream day! We made the drive out to Kailua from Mililani and it was definitely worth the trip. Parking can be tough because there isn't a lot and street parking can be tricky. After a few trips around the block we scored a metered stall right in front of the shop and because it was a Sunday parking was free! The shop is small and there is minimal seating but again we lucked out because as we were ordering a family left and we were able to get 1 of the two tables available. Since it was already after 3pm and they open at 1pm we had already missed out on the special items they had for national ice cream day (choco tacos, chocolate dipped waffle cones, and a special calamansi honey flavored sorbet) I was sad but had expected it. What I wasn't expecting was that they had also ran out of a couple of their other flavors as well (Vietnamese iced coffee and Manoa dark chocolate Mac nut) Sadness...but I wasn't gonna let that keep me down because there were still lots of other yummy flavor options to try. My family and I sampled several flavors before deciding on 8 total to share in 2 flights (yuzu sorbet,watermelon,lychee rose,roasted strawberry was 1 flight and hojicha, pandan matcha, miso salted caramel, ube crush was the 2nd) We also got 2 affogato. The ice cream and sorbet were all amazing! The ice cream is soooo creamy and the sorbet are light and refreshing. We will definitely be taking another drive out to Kailua for this awesome little ice cream shop and I hope the next time we come we can try the flavors we missed out on. read more

Finally got a chance to check this place out. The owner was very friendly and patient as customers asked questions and tried all the various ice cream offerings. There were quite a few I wanted to try, but didnt want to hold up the line. Went with the Matcha Pandan and Ube Crunch - both yummy. Cant wait to return to try other flavors. read more

I really enjoyed the asian inspired flavors here. We got the mango sticky rice & ube crush (my two personal favorites) , shiso mint chip, Vietnamese iced coffee, & miso salted caramel. There wasn't a single flavor that we thought was a miss - they were all rich and creamy and tasted just as advertised. The girl helping us didn't look too happy to be working there tho.. I didn't see her smile once and she didn't offer any free samples or anything. read more
The only reason I'm giving 4/5 is because they were sold out of a few flavors which was disappointing, especially not having UBE ): BUT the workers were very kind and fast to help us. I got matcha ice cream and it was delicious and perfectly balanced! I am hoping that next time I go back, I can try their ube. there is very limited indoor seating here and no public restroom. Definitely worth the visit if you are in the area!! There is plenty of metered parking in the back lot. The flavor options are unique and absolutely delicious! The girl at the counter was super helpful and friendly in providing samples. We have a severe peanut/Mac nut allergy in the family and she was so awesome to check in the back for a single vanilla so we can avoid cross contamination. This mom was super grateful for her attentiveness and going out of her way to ensure we had a safe scoop! Miso salted caramel was everyone's fav, followed by the pandan matcha. read more

If you love ice cream and I mean, c'mon...who doesn't love ice cream...make your way over to Please Come Again located in Kailua across the street from Kailua Elementary School. The unique ice cream shop has been open for about 6 months. Their ice cream is made right in shop and uses locally sourced ingredients. Sourcing locally is extremely important to them as they want to support local farms and artisans. A local shop that supports local businesses. You really can't get more local than that! Owners Kyle and Josephine Wai Lin are right there in shop ready to serve you. Kyle asked me what I'd like to sample since it was my first time. I told him I'm a big matcha fan. He told me there were two types of matcha flavors. Both are called Pandan Matcha, but one is non-dairy. The non-dairy one uses coconut to bring on the cream. I enjoyed both, but the non-dairy one definitely has a strong coconut flavor. He also let me sample the mango sticky rice, watermelon sorbet and the rose lychee. The rose lychee wouldn't have been one I would've chose, but Kyle said that was his second favorite flavor so I gave it a shot. Guess what? That ended up being the flavor I took with me. It truly won my heart! They offer single scoops if you are able to choose just one flavor from the 16 flavors in their case. But if you can't, they also offer a split single where you can choose 2 flavors or a flight where you can choose 4 flavors. The only difficult issue with this place is the parking as there isn't a dedicated lot just for them. You can find metered street parking right near the shop or in the public parking lot if you go around the back side of the store. There's probably free street parking in the community if you're willing to walk a little. Don't miss this spot! This is THE sweet treat that will keep you coming back for more. Awesome flavors and great customer service! The shop itself is adorable -- I love the aesthetic, especially the open window a concept that makes it feel so inviting. Their ice cream is creamy, not too dense, and offer a variety of fun flavors. They do such a good job with using local ingredients -- you can really taste the difference. Top favorites: - Ube Crush: love the polvoron mixed in! - Shiso Mint: the Manoa chocolate chips are such a good crunch. - Matcha & Pandan: this combo is so good together! Yes, that's right, the ice cream includes freshly cut fruit that is locally sourced and they also make the cones in house! From sorbets to ice cream, they've got you covered if you're dairy or lactose intolerant. A perfect place to bring the family because who doesn't like ice cream. Please Come Again is a tiny ice cream shop in Kailua serving up homemade ice cream with unique flavors that I haven't seen at other ice cream places before. We tried the ube crush, shiso mint, Vietnamese coffee (super bold and strong), and the standout favorite--kona snow. If you go, get the kona snow! It's a coffee ice cream but unlike any other... as a mint chip lover, I also loved their version of mint chocolate chip... the shiso really stands out in a good way, and it's not too strong. I personally didn't love the ube crush... I was expecting something a bit more flavorful with "crush" inside based off the name. The vibe here is boho and cozy, with a friendly team and great service. It's a small space, but full of charm. I'll definitely be back to try more flavors! read more

Omg the hype is real! My new fav fav ice cream with unique flavors. + Ice cream: I've tried a few flavors and everything has been so good. They have a range of flavors that can fit everyone. My fav so far is the Salted Honey (?), but seems like a limited flavor. Miso caramel and Yuzu sorbet are also good. Nothing has been too sweet. + Atmosphere: Metered parking lot in the back, or metered street parking across the street. It's a small shop but so cute, with few seatings and an open-space window. Went after dinner and the line was long!! But it moved fast. Some tables and seats available to dine in, but those were completely full when we went. Board on the wall to tell you what flavors are available, but it didnt have everything that they actually. You do get to sample so thats a plus since they have a lot of unique flavors. Got the shiso mint chip (though i couldnt taste the shiso at all) and yuzu sorbet. Did a half n half single scoop, which is a lot! read more

Oh hmm yeah ok I'll come again, and again, because I want more and more of the ice cream! I think this might be my favorite ice cream spots now. I generally don't like ice cream because it's either too sweet, too watery, or the experimental flavor isn't consistent with the label, boring flavors, underwhelming or overwhelming, etc. Plus it's a lot of calories that I don't need, so I usually will just pass. HOWEVER, you know where this is going because I have a 5 stars here: ice cream from this place is amazing! It's everything I want in a good ice cream - interesting flavors that actually taste good and taste like what they claim, balanced level of sweetness, thick and creamy, doesn't melt easily, good texture, and also, reasonably priced! On top of that, they use Manoa chocolates and other locally sourced ingredients. I can't say enough good things about their ice cream. The shop was clean, bright, open-air yet bug-free, cute and small but not too small that there's nowhere to sit because there's a long bench at the storefront. The tables and floor weren't sticky like a lot of dessert spots. The people were friendly and generous with samples. Sign up for the rewards program coz you'll come again. That's why I was a bit stressed when I went to Please Come Again. It's a Hot New Business that serves creative ice cream flavors! The place was packed! It was standing room only! It was a bit warm - I think because there was no air-conditioning and no windows? It's an open-air establishment at this time. There was a family in front of me trying to decide what to get. Fortunately the male employee noticed that I was next to order and I was able to jump ahead in line! I asked him which flavors were dairy-free. I almost got the Yuzu Sorbet, but chose the Coconut Stracciatella (in a keiki cup) because it was different! I enjoyed the little bits of chocolate! Welcome to Kailua! Wishing you much success! Can someone tell me the hours of operation? Every time I come here it's closed even with the hours listed on yelp.
So sorry about that, we just updated our Sunday schedule to close an hour earlier at 8pm. All the hours on Yelp are accurate. Hope to see you soon.
So do they take cash??? Or just credit card and added a 3 percent fee to your credit card cause they don't let you pay cash to your total?
We do take cash if it is exact change. We hear the feedback though and will be changing this very soon!
