I was in the area and had to stop for ice cream after seeing a dairy-free mango sticky rice flavor on the menu. Super creamy and perfectly sweet. Second scoop of Pandan matcha flavor was spot on as well! The waffle cone wasn't as crunchy as I would like it to be so I'll stick to a cup next time. The line was quick. I'll definitely come back to try all of the dairy-free options.
TL;DR: Love the Asian flavors like mango sticky rice, yuzu, and shiso. The actual ice cream and sorbet bases are very good. Limited indoor and outdoor seating. 1/ FOOD: They serve both ice cream and sorbet with familiar Asian flavors like yuzu and shiso but also novel flavors like mango sticky rice and miso salted caramel. They also have good Kona coffee ice cream, with the Kona coffee from the local Tradition Coffee Roasters. 2/ SERVICE: Friendly staff. Free samples. 3/ VALUE: The smallest size only allows one flavor. The next size up has a minor up charge for two flavors in the same cup, but it's just north of $6 for a lot of ice cream. 4/ VIBES: The indoor seating is limited to two tables but the benches extend to the outside. Even if you can't sit, you can stand around the shop on the side walk or along neighboring walls... there is a lot of space!
Another stop at Please Come Again - so glad they had their Kona Snow available it's my favorite and worth the upcharge! The gals here are supper nice and I love all the new flavors! It's always a great stop and friendly service
Ice cream! Ice cream ! You scream for ice cream! What a treat. Small shop in Kailua, HI. I want to try all but for sure it will be too rich. Different flavors here of Asian Cuisine. Rosy Lichee, Hokey Poke, Vietnamese coffee, Ube, And much more. Service is fast for one server during our time . Place is clean and open air, however we had a visitor greeting us . A gecko of all things. It did not change the cleanliness of this place. I would recommend this place for a treat. On the pricey side but it was worth it.
This is a perfect place to visit after doing the Kayak tour in Kailua. There are the classic flavors as well as special flavors, and you can try tasting of as many flavors as you want. I chose the flight of four flavors and was very satisfied with the different types of ice cream.
Will definitely be "coming again" as the name suggests! I love this hip family-owned ice cream shop, which features fun and unique flavors from around the island, such as shiso mint chip, manoa dark chocolate mac nut, mango sticky rice, etc. I tried both the mango sticky rice and the ube crunch, and loved both. The ice cream is delicious with the perfect creamy consistency, and it truly makes you want to try more. Next time, I'll be eyeing the ice cream flight!
We passed by Please Come Again on our way to an appointment and I was excited to stop in to try it out. It's a small ice cream spot with some really fun flavors. It was hard to choose but we ended up with a single scoop of Yuzu Sorbet ($5.95) and a Keiki scoop of Lilikoi Blue Haupia ($4.75). Both were vegan and gluten free. We both loved the Yuzu Sorbet the best, it had a good texture and a citrus forward flavor. Perfectly refreshing on a hot day. The Lilikoi Blue Haupia was creamy but didn't have as creamy a texture, it kind of spooned out in flakes versus spoonfuls. The flavor was good but I wanted more Lilikoi. The person working the counter was friendly, but we also felt weird asking for samples so we just ordered right away without trying anything first and that may have made a difference in our final experience. I would visit again to try more flavors but would stick to the sorbets or sample more before deciding next time.
Cute ice cream shop in Kailua! We decided to check out Please Come Again after hearing great reviews from friends. It was also a nice mixup to our typical McDonald's ice cream or Baskin Robbin's routine. I got the banana matcha and my bf got the Oreo. They also had other cool flavors like mango sticky rice and Vietnamese coffee. I thought the matcha flavor was perfect, even better than some matcha lattes I've had in the past! I also really liked that they gave sample spoons to try some of the flavors and when we took a cup to go, they had lids for easy transport. Overall the service was really good, the shop was clean, and most importantly the ice cream was a 10/10.

Cute little ice cream shop right off the main drag. The decor is cute and fun. The staff are so friendly. We were able to trial flavors of the ice cream-all of which were amazing. The ice cream is all made here in Kailua, which is even better to know you're supporting local businesses. I got the affogato with Vietnamese iced coffee ice cream and it was an amazing combo. You won't be disappointed if you come :)))
Wow. There aren't enough words or stars to convey how I feel about this ice cream shop. The flavors were perfectly balanced, rich, and interesting. The storefront was very clean and well maintained. The service was fast and friendly. But even if everything sucked and all they had was the ice cream I would still give them 5 stars because the ice cream is truly incredible.
We got here a little after 7pm and a lot of items were out. I really wanted to try the rose lychee and mango sticky rice. Those two were out as well as the waffle cone. I ended up getting the lilikoi lychee sorbet and miso salted caramel $9.50. The hubby got the miso salted caramel and cinnamon malasada $9.50. The miso salted caramel was ok. It just tasted like salted caramel. I couldn't really taste the miso. I really liked the lilikoi lychee sorbet. Those flavors blended nicely and hit the spot. The shop is open air. After a few minutes everything was melting. It was a hot day. I wish they would A/C the place.
Please Come Again is hands down one of my favorite ice cream spots on Oahu! They serve up local flavors that really capture the island vibe, and the rotating menu keeps things exciting every time I stop by. When they have the dipped waffle cone (especially the collab with Manoa Chocolate Factory) do yourself a favor and get it. It's absolute perfection. The ice creams here are as gorgeous as they are delicious, bright, bold, and packed with familiar yet one of a kind flavors that make this place stand out from your average scoop shop. They even offer flight options, so you can sample four different scoops (perfect for sharing... or not!). I've tried just about every flavor they've offered and loved each one. It's hard to pick a favorite, but since they let you sample, I always figure out what I'm craving in the moment, whether it's the refreshing yuzu sorbet or the rich, creamy Kona Coffee. My only tiny complaint? It gets hot inside, and the ice cream melts faster than you can eat it. I've learned to enjoy mine in the comfort of my car's AC. I love that this place is a true neighborhood gem, perfect for a treat after a day at the park or beach. Huge mahalo to the team for bringing this spot to Kailua and for using locally sourced ingredients. It's been one year since they blessed this town, here's to many more!

Newest best homemade ice cream since Bubbies, yeah I said it. Storefront is quaint with a few seats inside, so be prepared to take yours to go, or be ready to eat it on the sidewalk outsid Super premium ice cream with 16% butterfat and made in small batches. So if you find a flavor you like, grab it in a pint because you never know when you'll see it again! I've tried the Coconut Stracciatella, has a little bit of a gritty consistency to it, most likely because of the coconut and chocolate bits. The Ube Coco Crush is the non-dairy version of the Ube Crush. But Miso Salted Caramel is by far my favorite. My only commentary would be that if you have allergies, say something. A friend of mine tried my matcha strawberry (she's allergic to mango) and had a full blown allergic reaction. My only guess is because of the scooper they use to scoop the diff flavors, even though they dip it in water beforehand, may need to ask to switch out the scooper or full on wash it with soap beforehand. Overall, there isn't a flavor that I didn't like yet! And I'm excited to see what new flavors come out next! read more

Cute ice cream shop with very good Asian/ island inspired ice cream flavors. We ordered the ube, pandan, Vietnamese ice coffee, and lychee rose ice cream. Great flavors. I really enjoyed the Vietnamese ice coffee flavor as you can really taste the French roast flavor. This is a nice addition to the Kailua area. read more
Things I love: local, homemade ice cream, with creative and unique flavors. Things I did not love: Mac nut ice cream was rancid, mango sticky rice ice cream was pretty flavorless, but the worst part was they were having some serious textural issues. We ordered four flavors and at least half of them had clearly melted and refrozen, possibly multiple times, so that the creamy texture was ruined and instead replaced by ice crystals. I had wanted to come here a long time, and really wanted to love it, because I love homemade local ice cream shops. But they need to fix their ability to maintain temperature because it really wrecked more than half the ice cream flavors. read more
Initially, went here out of curiosity for the ice cream and as a pick up spot for Empty Elles Bagels - pickup is every Friday from 4p till 8p. Vanilla Milk was my choice...in a keiki cup, which is a good sampling size. They do offer sample scoops. You can't go wrong with vanilla and their ice cream was excellent. Second visit, requested the keiki cup of the Yuzu sorbet. Mildly tart and refreshing...another winner. Waffle cone is also available. There are three cup sizes: keiki, single, and double. Also, can be pirchased by pint. Wooden banquette provides a spot to enjoy your ice cream/sorbet. Two tables and a couple of chairs make up the rest of the seating area. Small interior but most peeps eat quickly. Across from Kailua Elementary School on Kuulei Road. On street metered parking is available. read more
What a wonderful addition to the Kailua community. Proprietors Kyle and Josephine, along with the support of their family, have done a great job of transforming this cute space into a welcoming spot to enjoy ice cold treats. Loved how they offer unique ice cream flavors combining favorite tastes. For my single scoop I was allowed to choose two flavors (a split single). The first was a no brainer... two of my favorite flavors in one... love everything shiso! Blended with a delicious mint choc chip. Flavors were very subtle and I would have loved an option of shiso sprinkle on the top tho, for the mainstream good to keep as is. The mint base was so refreshing! And love the collab with neighbors Manoa Chocolate. Second flavor chosen for my split was mango sticky rice which is a coconut cream based ice cream. Makes for a nice vegan, dairy free and gluten free treat. Again the flavor starts subtlely but with every bite increases until the party is going off full blast in your mouth! Genius. Love this family and their new business and wish them well as they have only been open just over a month. Love how, as Kyle put it... they have brought a treat geared towards adults with a less sweet yet ohh so refreshing ice cream. The kids will love it too! No compromise on the creamy goodness in every bite. Love how, in their short time they have already collaborated with Manoa Chocolates and Pua Blooms (a matcha/hojicha drink and plant popup truck) to bring more wonderfulness into the neighborhood. My only recommendation, and really a selfish one, is that you open earlier... especially on the weekends. Fans were anxiously awaiting the doors to open with two lines formed way before the 1pm open... Yes, I was that one that arrived 20 minutes earlier hoping to get my treat quickest. Thank you for allowing me in to view and savor with my eyes; hahah. Nice to bump into Yelp Elite Irene M before opening time where we discussed our strategy and were ready when asked if we knew what we wanted. Customer loyalty program... just enter your phone # into register and after the 10th scoop look forward to a nice bonus! Flavors of the world... Please come give them a visit in Kailua as this cute shop has wonderful creative flavors that's very unique and fun outside of the box but are so full of fun flavors without being overly sweet. All are made in house with mature flavors in mind like Strawberry Matcha and Guava Lava instantly got my attention. Walking in I love the shop vibe with bench seating for both inside or flip over like I did to gaze outside and on this day I got lucky with parking and the collaboration they have with Pua Blooms pop up along with running into Li Y who was waiting for the shop to open so I tagged along and waited lol! As a Matcha lover it's very hard to resist but as Li asked if we're able to have two flavors in the single scoop which they said we could to which cool and I decided on the Strawberry Matcha which is gluten free and made with Matcha from Kyoto was a delicate flavor but wished they had more strawberries in it as I could barely taste it and had to search for it, then the other flavor was Coconut Stracciatella and chose that because it was vegan and gluten free using 70% Manoa dark chocolate bits mixed with coconut cream. Both were just amazing very delicate flavors yet very mellow and not overly sweet and with a few dairy free options there something for everyone. Service is so nice and friendly just know that there is a 3% processing fee and they don't take cash and they do take points which I forgot to enter my info but is good to know as well. Always see a line to get in, but went on the late night since it wasn't as busy. They offered samples and were helpful in choosing. They were out of some of the flavors I asked for, but I still managed to get a pretty good combo. The prices are very reasonable so I'll be bringing the kids for a treat in the near future so that they can have a treat and I can try some of the flavors that sold out read more

My friend recommended this place when I told her I was going to be on Kailua side. She said the ice cream flavors were really good, and it turned out I already had this shop bookmarked! Unique Asian flavored ice cream, YUM! It's located in between The Orchid Design Florist and Aloha Tattoo Company, and across the street of Kailua Elementary School. There's only paid metered street parking around the area that doesn't seem too difficult to find parking unless it's during the weekends and/or dinner rush hours. My boyfriend and I were having a very difficult time choosing the flavors that they offered as they all sounded and tasted sooooo good! We were able to sample the different choices and ended up getting their flight of four flavors: - Pandan Matcha - YUM, strong matcha with a hint of pandan in my opinion. I feel that not many people really appreciate pandan flavor as it's usually light with a grassy flavor. - Mango Sticky Rice - very light in flavor compared to the rest of them. I liked it but didn't love it as I like strong mango flavors. - Vietnamese Iced Coffee - definitely a favorite as the Vietnamese coffee flavor was realllyyy strong, YUM. - Miso Salted Caramel - we asked the owner(?) if he could choose our last flavor for us and this was what he chose. We were delightfully pleased by this choice as there were a lot of different flavors yet not too heavy where they clashed with one another. This ice cream melted much quicker than the other flavors which showed that there weren't any preservatives and were homemade! We talked to the owner(?) for a bit and turns out he knew about the different ice cream spots in San Diego as well - the ones with Asian flavored ice cream such as An's Gelato and Sunday. This place rocks! Flavors of the Ice Creams are really good. They have unusual flavor names but very favorable tastes!! Staff is friendly and inviting. They make you feel like a local (even though we are not). Quite a few locals stopped in while this So Cali native was here. My Manoa Mac Nut flavor was amazing!! We had the coffee, rose lychee, roasted strawberry and matcha. All were creamy and delicious- tasted like REAL ice CREAM! Their flavors are so creative and different too! After seeing a recent review on Insta, my wife and I were interested in checking out Please Come Again, so off we went. The plan was to get a flight and see what we thought. If we liked it, we'd be bringing dessert to a family get together this weekend. In terms of parking, use the paid lot at the center of Kailua (you know the one) or there's plenty of street parking. Space is airy and the open window choice provides a good spot for sitting and enjoying a scoop (good design choice). Interesting flavors. We got the coffee, coal, mint, and strawberry. Wife loved the coffee. Smooth and rich. It's a perfect flavor. I liked the Lump of Coal, as it's complex enough for the flavors to stand out while melding. Each bite is a different experience. The strawberry and mint were good but probably wouldn't get again. The mint was a bit too earthy for our tastes. The strawberry a bit more cream than fruit. Both good, but I'm more interested in the other flavors. Still worth a try though. We will be back this week to get a couple flights for the party this weekend. The coffee and coal are on the menu, and we're excited to try a few more flavors. My one gripe: this place is a cashless business and only accepts credit cards but charges a fee to use your credit card. This is a small business, and I understand why the fee may be necessary, but just add it into the price versus making it a separate charge. We stopped by to try some of the interesting flavors on the menu. We got the flight--4 scoops for about $16, so pretty expensive, and the scoops weren't huge either. But the flavors are so unique and also, all of them were delicious. It seems like the flavors on the wall are the available pints and the signs on the case are what's available as scoops. My fav was the miso salted caramel. The miso-y taste is barely there, it just kind of enhances the overall flavor, and it was suuuuper creamy and delicious. Rose lychee was also very well balanced and just the right amount of sweet. My friend wanted the shiso mint chip, I usually avoid mint chip as I dislike cold chocolate, but the chips actually melt quickly and don't stick to my teeth. The shiso flavor was light but present, good bc sometimes shiso can be overpowering lol. Finally, the yuzu sorbet, while a pretty basic flavor, was still really refreshing and neither too tart or sweet. It was a great palate cleanser between flavors actually. They do give samples and the girl that helped us was really efficient and friendly. Overall despite the price, I can see us returning if we are nearby, to see what flavors pique our interest. read more

Shared a flight ($16.50) with a friend and it was sooo much ice cream. Probably best to share a flight between 3-4 people. We had sea salt, mango sticky rice, pandan matcha, and rose lychee. All of it was great and we both liked the rose lychee the best. The pandan matcha didn't have the right texture. It was actually so much ice cream I just took it home and froze it. Surprisingly the pandan matcha tasted better after I ate it a day later. I highly recommend. It's dog friendly. read more
i'd book a trip to oahu just so i can come again to this ice cream store. if you're reading this, YOU HAVE to try their flavors. they truly have flavors that'll fit everybody's palette, and each flavor profile is meticulously crafted and so, so, so delicious. in my worldwide list of ice cream rankings, please come again ranks among the top. you can sample to your heart's desire, and they have everything from mango sticky rice to strawberry matcha to coconut affogato. we opted for the matcha and the vietnamese coffee, and even just judging by the color of the matcha, i knew it was going to be delicious. and delicious it was - so pure, so green, so flavorful, so amazing. the store itself is very aesthetic! open-front seating and plenty of tables for you to enjoy your ice cream. staff is friendly and quick, and there's street parking outside! you haven't truly experienced ice cream if you haven't tried this place. try the matcha and let me know what you think! read more

Ok. Another ice cream shop. It was good. Flavors ok. The Cinnamon Malasada one has great intentions but for me the malasadas tasted stale. Not a lot of seating so difficult with the four kids. But I appreciate the ice cream flight with smaller portions and removable cups bc it's helpful with the 4 kids. Prices good. Can get crowded and claustrophobic really quick and I almost felt anxiety and pressure to order quickly which is hard with 4 kids making their choices. Especially bc two different girls were making our two flights. It was like rapid fired questions from all directions. But the staff was still kind. read more

I was visiting for the weekend and was told this was the newest ice cream shop on the island. Looking online they had the greatest line up of flavors I made sure to try to almost all of them when I got there (the staff was very kind and encouraging). I ended up getting the strawberry guava li hing mui and miso salted caramel but I could have gotten the ube or Vietnamese coffee--they were just all so good and creamy. Their artwork (for sale!) is so beautiful and I'm jealous I couldn't take any home with me! read more
The ice cream was extremely good. It was milky and very smooth. We got the ube and miso caramel flavors. Both were so good. Miso caramel reminds me of a hint of butterscotch. Wished we got the flight so we could try more flavors! Service was also good and friendly. Everything was clean, new and modern. read more

A Must-Visit for Ice Cream Lovers! Please Come Again is hands down one of the best ice cream shops in town! They take ice cream to a whole new level with unique, thoughtfully crafted flavors that you won't find anywhere else. Every scoop is packed with creativity, and you can really taste the difference in their locally sourced ingredients. The texture is ultra-creamy, and the quality is top-notch. Omg! This place is such a gem. When we first walked up, there was quite a crowd of people of all ages enjoying their delicious ice cream. The service was fantastic! The girl who helped us was super sweet, shared her faves, and let us taste so many options, which were all incredible! I would have tasted every flavor if I could have. It was definitely clear that these flavors were homemade and made with top tier ingredients. My husband got a scoop of guava lava and I got ube. Ube is always a go-to flavor for me, but this one was out of this world! I can't wait to come back to try more. My only regret this time was not getting a 2nd scoop read more

The best ice cream shop on the island. I said what I said! This is the cutest little ice cream shop in Kailua. Totally worth the drive from town! The flavors were so unique and special. Their ingredients are also locally sourced. We tried so many! We tried mango sticky rice, Ube crush, shiso mint chip, roasted strawb, and miso caramel. We ended up getting a flight which was perfect! My favorite flavors were definitely mango sticky rice, shiso mint, and miso caramel. If you're ever in the Kailua area, this is a must try! Or if you're ever in the mood for ice cream... this is the place to go. We will definitely be coming back again! read more
