Toppings were included in the price. There were plenty of other toppings to choose for free and others with a fee. The waffle came out soft and warm and was tasty. I love love love ice cream, so I HAD to try Double Three! The first time I came, I got the Matcha bubble waffle with an Ube Scoop, topped with Oreos and Mini Marshmallows. I will say that if you have a small appetite and you're with a friend who also has a small appetite, you should share your bubble waffle cone because I definitely couldn't finish mine! The bubble waffle was so yummy and fresh, and the Ube was definitely a strong Ube flavor and the combination couldn't be more perfect to me! I will say that in terms of toppings, it was a bit scarce and the oreo chunks could've been smaller, but it was an amazing dessert nevertheless! The second time I came, I came for their bubble tea to pair with my Little Sparrow bowl on the way back to my friend's house, and WOW, I 100% love their bubble tea! The tea I opted for was the Yuzu Passion Fruit Tea, and at 75% sweetness, it was JUST perfect for me, with its sweetness and fruity flavor. I will say that if you're in a rush, I would not come here if you see a line. In the two times I've visited, there's only been one employee working both the register and making the ice cream and bubble tea, so the wait is always pretty long. I was craving Double 3 soft serve ice cream and freshly made bubble waffles so we drove all the way out to Kaneohe for it! I have never been to this location and it's been a long time since I've had the one in town so I was shocked and disappointed to find out that soft serve wasn't an option. The store was small and smelled of dog when I first walked in. It was visually clean so I was surprised by the smell. There were just 2 young ladies working. They were friendly and efficient with service. The bubble waffles were as delicious as I remembered but the ice cream just didn't hit the spot. Easy place to find. Lots of parking within walking distance. We parked near longs. Very small little shop with inside seating and a bench outside as well. Friendly staff but I think they usually only have 1-2 people working at a time so when a big group comes in be patient with your order. If they didn't have that little paper to tell you how to order everyone would be completely lost so that made it way easier for us. The waffle was great and freshly made. Ice cream was good and tons of toppings to choose from. Presentation and taste for me is 10/10 it's just a little pricey for me. This place is some weird Chinese I terpretation of an ice cream shop. I would hardly describe a place with 5 flavors an ice cream shop. There were about 2 dozen toppings and you can either get a cup or a bubble waffle (it's a waffle with bumps instead of depressions) and you order by filling out a paper form and handing it to the person at the counter, selecting what you want, the flavor of ice cream, any toppings, and any syrup. This place was a good find as my friends and I were craving ice cream. I found this place on YELP and it was easy to find and parking right out front on the street. We went in and there is a table with order forms which we were required to complete and hand over at the register. We paid, received a beeper and waited outside as this was when masks were still required. The beeper went off in about 5 minutes and the ice cream looked just like the pictures on YELP. It's a small place and to order, there's a paper you check off to choose your waffle flavor, ice cream, toppings, and syrup. The waffle was so soft and chewy in the inside, a little crisp on the outside, and the ice cream was really yummy! Unfortunately the last two times we came here, staff had put up signs that read that they won't open until later in the afternoon (instead of 1pm). Really love this place! We always stop buy for the tastiest treat when visiting Hawaii. This is the best location because it's scoops and not soft serve. That's an important distinction because the warm waffle will quickly melt your ice cream. When it first comes out, the waffle is so warm with a little crispy outside and soft inside. As you reach the bottom, it becomes soft all over because it's soaked up all of the melting ice cream. This time we got a bubble waffle with a scoop of vanilla and chocolate ice cream topped with Oreos, a Kit Kat and chocolate syrup. Balancing the cold ice cream and warm waffle in every bite is the perfect combination. We parked in the parking lot of the shopping center and walked around to the street to find the store front. The boyfriend found this place on yelp. It was one of the only dessert places open late during COVID. We found street parking right out front. They were taking orders from the door and by the time we got our matcha cone, there was a small line of people ordering and picking up food. These little bubble cones are kind of an Instagram sensation. I personally like regular cones more because they're crunchy. This bubble cone thing was ok though. I liked that you can choose a flavor for the cone. The ice cream was ok. It was also very instagramable. It was a little expensive for dessert, but it was very pretty and we ate it in like 2 minutes after taking a pic. The service was fast and they make it to order.
