The iced coffee cream puff is officially my favorite pastry! It was the perfect dessert to accompany the weekend laksa!

This was a cute breakfast/coffee spot. There is a large amount of coffee sections to choose from and the pastry I selected had a good balance of sweet and refreshing The person helping us pick out choices was very patient and informative. The staff was very kind It was a little crowded so be cautious if you're with multiple people. It can be hard to find seating

The food was amazing. They make their own croissants and they were buttery, flakey, and tasted so good! I ordered the Jeanne's Fav latte with oat milk and it was also great! The shop is a trendy and a great place to meet friends, work/study or just read a book. The service was quick and efficient.

Greeted with a smile as soon as we walked in by the team. Love the cozy feel neighborhood cafe. I was torn between a sweet or savory pastry, chose the savory of the spinach & egg croissant toasted! And the flat white coffee sealed with a heart. This place has a variety of pastries that I will come back for and it was sooooo delish! Wish my stomach can hold all of it!

A friend and I ordered the Kopi (Singaporean coffee with condensed milk) and Kopi Peng (Singaporean coffee with condensed milk and evaporated milk) and both were good - the coffee is really smooth, with a creamy, lightly sweetened flavor. And the staff was so nice! I couldn't decide which coffee to get, so they let me sample! It was really tasty but could be a liiiittle stronger, I think. The seating area is spacious, and there is window seating and outdoor seating, too. There is a gender neutral bathroom, which was clean, but heads up that it is rather small and not an ADA bathroom. They have free wifi and I think it would be a pretty good place to do some work or chat with friends, since it's not too loud inside. They also sell some art, stickers, cards, etc. by local artists, and their own merch. I think I'll come back to try the laksa!

International-inspired cafe with a menu featuring baked goods and coffee, plus live entertainment. I got the Matcha Cocoa Latte Iced, Samosa (Vegan - Housemade with carrots, peas, potatoes, tumeric, and spices), Chinese Dumplings (Housemade pork, cabbage, chives, ginger and garlic), and Spam Musubi (Spam, teriyaki sauce, calrose rice with furikake and mirin vinegar). The Matcha Cocoa Latte was so good, I got one Togo! The place is so cute with the best music! The service is so friendly, helpful, and they make you feel like you are with family. Love it!

Maybe one of the best matcha lattes I've had in Kailua--and I've tried many! You can already tell from the picture that the matcha Cafe Kopi uses is high quality (not Costco, or a grassy yellow). Each drink is prepared by hand and the matcha is hand whisked as well. Their matcha latte comes automatically sweetened with agave and is the perfect amount of sweetness. My bf also really liked his iced (coffee) latte. I love Cafe Kopi's atmosphere (there's lots of tables), drinks and they always have cool local art pieces/stickers for sale. I have yet to try their food/pastries but I was definitely eyeing those out on my last visit. Will be back!

They have come into their own as a community engaged, all around solid neighborhood bakery / cafe that has a few but very good Singapore dishes honoring the owner's heritage. Requisite American cafe coffee drinks, check. A great selection of house baked goods including a very good croissant and a fruit "Danish" made of buttery layered croissant dough and fresh fruits. The real standouts, Singapore's kaya (coconut spread) toast, kopi (seasoned pulled coffee) and laksa. 1. Kaya toast - well made, coconut with pandan notes flavored kaya. It is spread between crust removed, toasted, buttered bread. Simplicity at its best. One thing, where's the coddled egg, soy sauce and white pepper? 2. Kopi - STRONG. Good roasted flavor with black butter notes. No bitterness or acrid finish. Simply frothed or with evaporated milk. Either way, a caffeinated boost equal to the similar number of shots of espresso. 3. Laksa - Fancy by Singapore standards but between the flavorful and fragrant rempah (dried shrimp / spice paste), good shrimp stock made creamy by slightly curdled coconut milk, tender noodles, and properly cooked shrimp and fried bean curd, a solid example of laksa made for Western taste. The addition of the soft boiled egg adds substance. Friendly service. The staff is constantly working and when there is downtime, cleaning. Indoor / outdoor seating with both street parking and a private lot in back. Satisfying.

Cafe Kopi brings me back to my days living in Singapore when I preferred to hang out at homey cafes with mismatched furnitures, friendly staff and good coffee. The vibe is relaxed and the paintings on the wall feature local artists. I was excited to see real Kopi on the menu. Variations include Kopi O, Kopi Gao, Kopi C, etc. I wanted to order the Kopi but was informed by the nice lady that they ran out of the base brew so they couldn't make it. (It was only 930am on a Tuesday) so I inquired if I can just order the iced Singaporean coffee instead. She said she can make that since it doesn't use the "base brew" ... so I wasn't really sure what I got, maybe just a latte but the milk didn't have a thick feel to it so I was ok with that. My husband was raving about the overnight oats with fresh berries the day before so that's what he ordered again on his second visit. The barista informed him that they just made those oats that morning so the milk hasn't fully set yet. (let's just call it morning oats then) he said this was ok since he was starving. I appreciate what the cafe is doing but couldn't give more than an average review due to the inconsistent offerings. It's definitely better to support local cafes than go to Starbucks IMO.

So I was so excited to come here with my friends before we went to get a pedicure. I was so sad when I saw the days pastry selection. They were all over baked and looked so dry. So we all skipped out on the pastries we were looking forward to. However; we did like our drinks. My matcha was smooth and balanced. Service was kind and fast. Cute little coffee shop with fun art and chill beach vibe. I will go back and give another try because I always see others get good things, I just think I may have hit an off day.

Singapore Laksa, Signature Kopi and Passion Fruit Tart

Nestled in the heart of Kailua town, Cafe Kopi is one of the area's local culinary gems. Inspired by the flavors of Singapore and Asia all with a serene Hawaiian ambiance, this eclectic cafe has much to offer. You'll find coffee and tea beverages, a daily selection of fresh baked goods but it's their weekend special, Singaporean Laksa, that steals the show. My mom and I enjoyed our experience here so much that we visited twice during my trip. The Traditional Singapore Kopi drink is a must-order and features caffeinated Robusta coffee beans, roasted in butter and sugar. This gives it a rich, caramelized flavor that's more aromatic than its Vietnamese version. Enjoy it alongside some Kaya Toast and you have yourself the perfect traditional old school Singaporean breakfast. As for food, everything we had was delicious from the flavor-bomb of a dish, the Singaporean Laksa, to the Spam Musubi Croissant. The latter was a bit pricey for a pastry but upon trying it with its flaky buttery layers of dough combined with the salty, umami-rich seaweed and spam, it was well worth it. The Passion Fruit Tart is also a hit here with its sweet, tangy curd layered upon a buttery shortbread crust and topped with fluffy, toasted merengue. Service was friendly enough and the workers are quick in getting orders out promptly and efficiently. In terms of drink orders, you do have to pay attention to when they call out your order and place it on the counter.

One of the sweetest parts of the experience was the owner -- a sweet older lady who takes your order herself and carefully packages everything up for you. It feels very personal and old-school in the best way. Here's what we tried: Long John - The star of the show. It's served chilled and doesn't look like your typical long john. The donut itself was light, pillowy, and slightly crispy. The texture contrast was perfect. We'd honestly come back just for this. Mochi An Pan - Really good. The mochi had that satisfying chew, the red bean wasn't overly sweet, and the bread was soft and fresh. Mushroom & Onion - Savory and comforting. The cream sauce was flavorful and paired well with the soft bread Ham & Cream Cheese - This one was a bit too dense for us, likely because of the cream cheese topping. Not bad, just heavier than we prefer. Parking is easy and plentiful since it's in the same lot as the movie theater. Overall, such a cute local bakery, make sure to come early, bring cash, and don't skip the long john.

The lines for fresh pastries was always long... This week, I decided to get in line early! I know that Baker Dudes has a shop on Alakea Street. The parking in downtown Honolulu isn't the best, so, I avoid the area. That's why i chose to patronize Baker Dude at the Kailua Town Farmer's Market! There's lots of street parking around the Pali Lanes area in Kailua. If you park in a metered stall, parking on Sundays is free anyway! I usually park in the free covered garage in front of Longs Drug Store. Enter from Kailua Road. If you have a good sense of smell, you'll find Baker Dude when you follow your nose. The fresh aroma of pastries will lead you to the stall. There were a few customers in line already. SERVICE: The guy was really hustling by fielding questions about ingredients - he was amazingly knowledgeable - while gently packaging goodies. The female worker was tending to a goose in a stoller! I kid you not! It was quite amusing! When she was done with making the goose comfy, she cleaned her hands and donned gloves. She was as efficient and friendly as the male worker! I limited myself to two items: the Blueberry Lilikoi Cinnamon Roll and the Apple Turnover. I'm so glad that I devoured them at home because they were so flakey and I was making a mess! I probably was emitting strange noises with each bite and attempting to contain my drooling! Gosh! LOL! Anyway, if you want some high quality baked goods, I would suggest that you give Baker Dude a try. If you work in downtown, stop by at the shop. If not, the Sunday morning Kailua Town Farmer's Market is a great shopping experience! I'll be back for some scones, cookies, and bread!
