The customer service is PHENOMENAL. The ambiance is alright.... Their previous location had a better vibe. But it is still decent. Maybe I just came on a weird day. They don't sell pastries or food anymore?! Someone tell me if I just came in on a bad day.... Because I use to LOVE getting pastries and coffee here. Parking is street parking.
Came here for some quick coffee with one other person. Ordering was pretty easy and the guy behind the counter was helpful and quick with everything. I like that they had some fall specials on their menu. The inside of this place is very small and just for ordering. They do have seating but outside only and no restrooms. Parking was easy since we parked on the street and it wasn't very busy.
We drove out from Honolulu town just for the vibes at Chadlou's Coffee Roasters and it was so worth it. This place did not disappoint. I ordered my usual iced oatmilk latte and it was absolutely perfect. I paired it with their banana bread I know that maybe not the best combo for someone watching calories but for me, it's comfort in every bite and sip. My favorite!! :)) The staff were kind, welcoming and full of smiles which made the experience even better. We came for the peaceful vibe and the countryside charm and honestly, it healed something in my soul. A place like this reminds you to slow down and just be.
I love it here and always want to go. Best coffee in Kailua in my opinion. Normally get the Kula Latte and Honu Latte which is super delicious. Quality is just amazing and distinct sweetener. I also appreciate when we get the drinks iced, they don't over ice it like most places where you feel like you're getting ripped off, but it's like it's a perfect amount of ice. We normally go on a Sunday, so thankfully free street parking and just had to cross the street. If you go on other days, just know there's only meter parking that you have to find nearby. Customer service is always amazing and they always ask how you're doing. Some downsides for me personally, there is only outdoor seating. There is a small little bench inside to wait but overall just not a place to hangout for me. There's also only one worker so sometimes if it's busy and they're juggling orders, it'll take a bit, so I always make sure I have time and not in a rush if I go, just in case.
Love this place!! I and my husband had to go Kailua side and then we decided to have coffee break. Use Yelp app and looked for someplace we'd like to try around us. This place is located the corner of Kihapai St. and Ho'olai St. The entrance is face to Kihapai St. side. Looks like huge cafe but once get inside, it's cozy cafe. They have some tables and chairs outside the deck. They have a coffee roaster machine and roast their original blend coffee.(you can buy their beans) When we got there, two customers were there and one staff was working herself. Our turn to order, I'm always hard to make decision person but she gave me the time to think and very kind with smile. I ordered Iced Kula Latte (lavender & vanilla sugar cane syrup) and my husband ordered Iced Coconut Macadamia Nut Herbal Tea (decaf) Latte. Both taste so good but my iced Kula Latte is the winner!!!! We can't wait to try another menu! (Also would like to join their coffee tasting!)

Tip: be patient and kind as on our last visit there was only one staff working and when we got there the crowd got bigger.
The last time we visited this establishment, around 5 years ago, we enjoyed the coffee but they were still going through some remodeling of their location. When we returned just last week, I was quite impressed by their location! A could of experiences, to go order section and a sit down area. Lots of space! Excellent service! I got the kula latte because I'm drawn to those hints of lavender. But the main reason return, and I will return more frequently now, is because i was made a perfect latte. The crema in my cup was made with a skill that baristas, especially Starbucks baristas, have trouble mastering.
Came here for coffee after a nice sunrise hike nearby. As someone who goes to a lot of cafes in NYC, this was one of my favorites I'd ever been to! That might be partially due to the interesting drink options - I got a really nice cocoa + coffee drink, which tasted super refreshing after a hike. The barista was incredible, I'm sad I didn't write down her name because she did an amazing job explaining all the drinks in a way that made us all excited to try everything, and her actual barista skills were superb too. The place itself is quite small but super cute, and it has really nice coffee relate art and posters inside that I thought were really cool. Overall, definitely check this spot out if you're in the area!
Small shop, good handful of seats on their mini patio. They're tucked away from the Main Street so it's nice and quiet. Great coffees, great flavors. I'm basic and got the latte. No bitterness or excessive acidity from the coffee. They have premium coffee beans ($$) that I obviously bought into. They were very easy to drink and had great aromatic properties without too much acidity. I think I like it better than Kona Coffee beans but that's just me. I think I found my favorite coffee shop in this area!
Stopped by for our coffee fix on a Friday morning. ChadLou's is a cute little coffeehouse in Kailua. We had the Honu and Manoa Mocha both iced and were not disappointed at all. The coffees were so flavorful! The barista was super friendly. There is outdoor seating which is nice but we took our coffees to go. Definitely one of our favorite places for coffee.
Had the Mac nut latte not sure the name of it with almond milk. Coffee was smooth and flavorful. Would recommend if you are fond of freshly roasted coffee and a nice ambience. Lots of outside seating!
I haven't been to Chadlou's since their move to their new location. Unfortunately, my recent experience at ChadLou's Coffee Shop in Kaneohe wasn't what I remembered it being. The coffee was clumpy and had noticeable bits of espresso or chocolate debris in the drink, which made the texture unpleasant. The worker was very nice and friendly, so I have no complaints about the service. Their indoor space felt a little crammed as customers were left confused as to where to wait for their drinks. Indoor seating is gone. There used to be a lot of space that added a lot to the ambiance and made ChadLou's feel like a cozy place to enjoy a coffee. Without it, the atmosphere just doesn't feel the same anymore. read more
Open from 630 till 400p, daily. Many artisinal cafes do not close at 400p: glad Chad Lou's Coffee Roasters is one of them. It's been a while since I've been here...coffee for takeaway though there is an outdoor patio where seating is available. They sell donuts from L'ili'i Donuts - vegan fare. I mispronounced the name of the bakery...but so did the barista, definitely a tongue-twister. I've had them before at the Kailua Farmers Market. It's a bit dry but tasty. They also offer Sage Creamery pints and cups,...that are tantamount to a Keiki-sized portion. B I had a donut...good...and a keiki cup...very good. If it seems that I am on a quest to find every available retail spot on Oahu to acquire some ice cream from Sage's...well, you are wise to my endeavor. Ube Crinkle was amazfreezing. Three words: Manoa Chocolate Mocha I was on my way back to Honolulu after spending about an hour at the beach. I needed caffeine. Luckily, ChadLou's was still open. The young woman was friendly and said it was a good choice! Most mochas are good, but this one has an intense chocolate flavor that I've never tasted elsewhere. Soooooooo good! Tasty coffee with lots of options, lovely baristas, drinks come out very quickly, and a nice outside seating with wifi on wrap-around patio (shaded, depending on where the sun is) Great Kailua spot for morning sipping or beach runs. read more
ChadLou's is a super cute spot with a little service window and outdoor seating. The street parking was also easy, even on a Saturday morning. My bf and I ordered an iced oat milk latte and iced oat milk matcha latte and our drinks came out very fast! In regards to drinks/quality, I've been trying out more matcha spots, and sadly ChadLou's was not the recommendation for me. The matcha was really clumpy on the bottom and the milk also looked like it was separating/ didn't look mixed well. Additionally, my drink kind of tasted like the Costco brand matcha, not a higher level ceremonial grade. With that said, I believe ChadLou's is more known for their coffee anyway :) I had a sip of my bf's latte and it was so good!!! The coffee taste was super smooth and not bitter at all. If stopping by, I'd definitely recommend sticking to espresso drinks. Though I won't be coming back for matcha, I'd definitely be back again to get coffee! read more
It's really great coffee, and the local people are so friendly. The coffees are nicely balanced and not too acidic. They are rich in flavor and full body. We ordered a cappuccino, americanos, and an oatmilk latte. The beans are roasted on property and made by two master roasters *Chad and Lou. We met Chad this day, who was with his little daughter. Like I said, very nice people. Please support the local businesses. We even bought t-shirts with their logo and *shakas. They mentioned that some of the earnings go to a local charity. So, if you're in the area, please stop by Chadlous, Mahalo. read more
Great coffee! Terrible set up for ordering & picking up. One entrance with narrow walkway! Service was good. Outdoor seating nice. For some reason the inside of establishment not utilized. Most likely will only return when in need of a good cup of Joe while awaiting to be seated at Moke's Bread & Breakfast next door. read more

As an avid coffee drinker, I'm always on the hunt for trying new coffee shops. I've heard good things about ChadLou's from locals and was hoping to be impressed. Sadly, the Manoa Chocolate Mocha tasted very grainy and watery. It was a big let down. I normally enjoy eating Manoa Chocolate bars often and this coffee did not do it justice. Would have been better if they strained the chocolate more. Also tried their other specialty coffees black and was not impressed with the quality/taste. It did have a very cute ambiance and seems to be a nice place to chat, do work, etc. Coffee barista was nice and polite. read more

Ordered an iced Manoa Chocolate Mocha and was pretty disappointed. This drink seems like it has alot of potential, but the texture is grainy and doesn't mix well and leaves a gritty feeling in your mouth. Not worth the price point of $7 Service is great tho! lol. The cashier was very friendly and helpful, and the space is cute. read more
Delicious coffee, vegan burrito, and mini donuts from Liilii Donuts! Helpful rec from the barista, too. Even took a bag of coffee beans home with me. They have a self-serve toaster oven to heat up the burrito and that was great. Only outside seating which was nice. If you are noise sensitive, the seating is loud with the cars and trucks going by though. Would go back again for takeout. Metered street parking. Was in the area recently and just happened to stumble upon ChadLou's coffee roasters! Very cute outside seating and decent drinks! ***What I ordered **Oat Milk Latte (8/10) ~ The flavors were not bad at all! I like the bitterness and the creaminess from all the components. Although, I did not care for the acidity. Overall, This place is honestly such a cute cozy vibe, the coffee is not bad, and the service was okay :)! Came here after our hike and got a latte and a mocha. Forgot the names but both were delicious! Worker was very friendly and answered my questions about the various beans for sale. Coffee in Kailua, O'ahu, Hawaii... Because I play mahjong in Kailua every week, I need something nearby to keep me focused on my game. ChadLou's Coffee Roasters has been my partner in staying sharp and grabbing those mahjong tiles quickly! Located on the corner of Kihapai and Hoolai Streets, parking is basically metered street parking. I run in and out, so, I've been lucky... On my first visit, I had a seasonal drink: Pumpkin Spice Bevy. Delicious! But... I wasn't prepared for what I saw... I was really in shock when I realized that the barista was grinding coffee - just for me and my individually prepared cup of fresh coffee! Wow! The coffee didn't come from a pot! That's why I had to return and take a video of the process. The technique is actually quite fast because the barista is very skilled and graceful. It truly is amazing. You should go yourself and see your cup being swiftly crafted! On my second visit, I got an iced Honu Latte with Oat Milk. The caramel and mac nut cane sugar syrup had a very subtle flavor. I needed more sweetness, so, I went to the self-service station and added a packet of Splenda. Whew! That sure pepped me up and pushed me to mahjong victory... Again! Perfect little coffee shop tucked in. Our barista was so kind, conversational and easy going. We came on a rainy day and wanted something warm. I ordered a decaf tea (I have no idea what it was called) but it was perfect + exactly what I wanted!! They have a great selection of coffees and teas. Dairy free options. Outdoor seating. By far one of my favorites. The interior is beautiful and an authentic environment. I bought a cute handmade ceramic cup/mug. Worth a visit! read more

Great little coffee shop, no inside seating area and only good for to go coffee. They didn't have the espresso tonic so I opted for the second best which is my seasonal pumpkin spice drink. They serve it nice and cold and it was filled with great fresh spices and brown sugar crystals. Loved the combination of spices and it really tasted original and unique!! Wish we had a chance to try other drinks from them to make a good judgement on the quality of their beans... But I am sold on the pumpkin spice bevy!!! read more
ChadLou's is my favorite coffee shop in all of Oahu! I will often drive half an hour, from Hawaii Kai to Kailua, just to get my morning coffee here! They are a farm-to-cup specialty coffee company that grows, processes, roasts, and brews their own coffee. It's a small coffee shop on the corner of Hoolai St. and Kihapai in Kailua. It looks and feels like a corner house with a strong community vibe. Metered and street parking is available right outside their shop. No inside seating is available right now, but there are several tables outside that wrap around their shop. Their daily hours seem to vary, but typically it's either 6-7am opening to 2-4pm closing. My favorite coffee drink is their Makapu'u Mocha. It's a double espresso with milk coconut, macadamia nut, and Mānoa Chocolate Mocha for $6.50. It's their most expensive drink. The Manoa chocolate puts this drink over the top! I haven't tried any of their other coffee drinks because I can't seem to wean myself off of the Makapu'u Mocha. Yes, I'm that addicted to it! They have various milks to choose from, such as whole, nonfat, almond and oat. You can also purchase coffee by the bag, which they will grind for you upon request. They also have tea drinks such as regular teas, tea lattes and Dirty Chai. In addition to their coffee and tea drinks, they offer food items from other vendors such as sandwiches, salads, breakfast burritos, wraps, etc. as well as Sage ice cream! Service is always friendly, and the line is never too long. I'd much rather support a small coffee shop like this as opposed to the large coffee chains (you know who I'm talking about!) read more
