Belated love in my case as my brain tells me I've left a review but reality shows me once again I haven't. SMH. I ordered from this biz many many times and did pick ups from her house and Aikahi. The food is homemade, authentic as you'll get on Oahu, reasonably priced for the portion size, and freaking delicious! I've had the carne asada taco plates (momma's homemade flour tortillas and the standard corn tortilla) with all the sides- rice/refried beans/elote esquites, sopa loca (the spicy ramen soup with meat, cheese, all kinds of fun fixins), flautas, quesadilla, BYO burrito, breakfast burritos, cheesecake dipped cones, churro cheesecake bites, tres leches (birthday cake, cookie butter- pro tip is to drink the liquid milk mix on the bottom so yum OR dip a cookie in there to sop it all up... I will try the latter one next time, I just thought of it), Mila's lemonade, strawberry pound cake jar, and the addicting Dubai cookie. Food is so good and soul-satisfying that I've sent my husband to pick up orders right after he gets back from an inter-island commute (H3 is right there)! Trust me, you cannot go wrong with anything. We eat it as soon as possible because she makes her stuff fresh and that's how you get the best experience! She posts frequently on her IG just follow directions for how/when/what is available to order. Oh, she sometimes has cute little helpers (AKA her kids) who are doin the best they can for their momma, so don't have mean or ridiculous expectations! She gets very busy and may not see every message in time to get your order in if you're last minute like me, but I've never had service issues or problems with my order. I ALWAYS order no cilantro and she gets it right every single time which is not the case everywhere I go. We love to support her when we can. She's been doin lots of markets on the Windward and Leeward side too so check her out!!!

This is a very interesting ice cream/boba spot…read more It's actually a pretty small shop, but there are a few bar stools and bar table (6 in total, I believe). Upon entering, there is a table with an ordering menu that you fill out for the ice cream. There are no cones and no "parlor" for ice cream- only written options. The standard flavors of vanilla, creamy strawberry and chocolate are available as base choices. There were two "special" flavors of the day that was kona mud pie and another unique option. You can check off on the menu PER item how you want your ice cream in regards to toppings, syrups, in a cup or bubble waffle, single scoop or multiple scoops, etc. Hubby ordered a boba tea that you don't need to fill out on the menu sheet. I'm personally not a huge fan of boba, but he enjoyed it. The lime grape boba tea was what he ordered. As for ice cream, we ordered the following combinations: -Red velvet bubble waffle "cone" with kona mud pie ice cream and chocolate syrup - Classic bubble waffle cone with vanilla ice cream, strawberries and rainbow sprinkles - chocolate bubble waffle cone with creamy strawberry, oreo cookie crumbs and chocolate syrup The red velvet and classic bubble waffle were my favorite. The creamy strawberry ice cream was really good but the other flavors were on the sweet side- no additional toppings were necessary- in fact, I think it was overkill (though beautiful in presentation. I would probably come here again with the kids, but these are a little challenging to eat, in all honesty. The bubble waffle as a cone is nice, but not sturdy. The ice cream is nice, though options of flavor are limited. The ordering process is a little tedious when ordering multiple items, but it's understandable in order to get each one right. Cool stop if you're in the area. We walked there from Whole Foods Kailua main road (back) entrance.

Birthday treats in Kaneohe, Oahu, Hawaii…read more.. Today (August 8th) is Brown's birthday. He's the bear and main character in the Korean version of Sanrio, called Line Friends. To celebrate Brown's birthday, I searched my Yelp app and found Napoleon's Bakery. Located inside of Zippy's, this bakery is convenient, has free parking, lots of variety, and has friendly service. We chose a Pianomo Roll, a chocolate-filled donut, and a famous Apple Napple. The Pianomo Roll is great for simple palates because it's a soft cake, rolled in butter and granulated sugar! For chocolate lovers, the chocolate-filled donut is just right because the fluffy yeast donut surrounds the rich center to balance it. Rounding out our sugar rush, we got the flakey Apple Napple. The crunchy exterior and fruity filling helped to satisfy our sweet tooths! If you haven't had anything from Napoleon's Bakery, other recommended items are the Long Johns, Chantilly cake, and Dobash cake. If you're celebrating a special occasion, they can write a greeting with icing on the cake! They also have mixes such as cornbread, pancake, and mochiko chicken batter mix so you can enjoy fresh goodness at home or send/bring to friends/family on the mainland. Just browse and you'll find something for anyone!

I waited a few minutes to eat the malasadas, and they retained their warmth and crispy crust. I think the dough could use a little more salt BUT it is a pretty solid malasada.
