I love apple maples and came in the morning but apparently they are $4.10! I swear it was under $3…read morebefore but it's been a while. Sadly the apple Napple is mostly fluffly flakey pastry and almost no apple in it anymore. At least the lady gave me the fresh ones from the back and not the display.

To celebrate Brown's birthday, I searched my Yelp app and found Napoleon's Bakery. Located inside of Zippy's, this bakery is convenient, has free parking, lots of variety, and has friendly service. We chose a Pianomo Roll, a chocolate-filled donut, and a famous Apple Napple. The Pianomo Roll is great for simple palates because it's a soft cake, rolled in butter and granulated sugar! For chocolate lovers, the chocolate-filled donut is just right because the fluffy yeast donut surrounds the rich center to balance it. Rounding out our sugar rush, we got the flakey Apple Napple. The crunchy exterior and fruity filling helped to satisfy our sweet tooths! If you haven't had anything from Napoleon's Bakery, other recommended items are the Long Johns, Chantilly cake, and Dobash cake. If you're celebrating a special occasion, they can write a greeting with icing on the cake! They also have mixes such as cornbread, pancake, and mochiko chicken batter mix so you can enjoy fresh goodness at home or send/bring to friends/family on the mainland. Just browse and you'll find something for anyone!

The long Johns are awesome- filled with yummy custard Old fashion donut - not too sweet but light and fluffy Raised glazed donut - no words to describe its yummyness Spinach bread - broke the mouth good Raisin bread - looks good but too busy eating everything else! Lots of parking- they take cash only - nice people!

They're open from 6am-1pm, and by the time we got there, a few items we wanted to try were already sold out. If you have your heart set on something specific, definitely come early. Cash only!! One of the sweetest parts of the experience was the owner -- a sweet older lady who takes your order herself and carefully packages everything up for you. It feels very personal and old-school in the best way. Here's what we tried: Long John - The star of the show. It's served chilled and doesn't look like your typical long john. The donut itself was light, pillowy, and slightly crispy. The texture contrast was perfect. We'd honestly come back just for this. Mochi An Pan - Really good. The mochi had that satisfying chew, the red bean wasn't overly sweet, and the bread was soft and fresh. Mushroom & Onion - Savory and comforting. The cream sauce was flavorful and paired well with the soft bread Ham & Cream Cheese - This one was a bit too dense for us, likely because of the cream cheese topping. Not bad, just heavier than we prefer. Parking is easy and plentiful since it's in the same lot as the movie theater. Overall, such a cute local bakery, make sure to come early, bring cash, and don't skip the long john.

We decided to try the traditional, which is just shipped in granulated sugar, a custard filled and a chocolate filled. These are not like regular donuts, l although say first glance the look like regular donuts. Malasadas are very eggy--almost like a wet custard pastry, if that makes any sense. I don't like weird textures, and while I did like them, the texture was a little on the custom of "iffy" for me. Hubby really liked them, and they tasted so delicious. Note of caution: they didn't seem to be the same the next day. The eggs texture made it seem kind of "wet" the next day, so the one we saved ended up in the trash. I'm giving it a five because they tasted delicious, and the texture issue is MY weird thing. Everyone else seems to love them, so I'm going with that!

My favorite one is custard filling. Coconut filling has a hint of coconut aroma. It was fresh and warm, perfect for rainy day.
