Shopping at Windward Mall in Kaneohe, O'ahu, Hawai'i…read more.. My friends alerted me to the Grand Opening of the second location of Kawaii Corner. The original location is at Pearlridge Center. Located on the ground level, between Pono Gymnastics and I Mana Ka 'Ōiwi, and across from Aloha Card Shop, in the Ross Wing - this Kaneohe location of Kawaii Corner is just as cute, bright, clean, and spacious as the first (Pearlridge) location! Service is cheerful, friendly, helpful, and efficient! Merchandise is organized and plentiful! There's all kinds of Labubus, blind boxes, hair accessories, stationary, purses, backpacks, tote bags, Labubu outfits, Labubu accessories, and more! Come to the Windward side and get some of your own cuteness! Note: at 10am on Grand Opening Day (7.18.25), customers were treated to the Traditional Chinese Lion Dance which brings good luck, prosperity, and success to events such as weddings, Lunar New Year, Grand Openings of new businesses, etc.

I remember this business doing HEAVY advertising on facebook marketplace when covid started. I…read morethought to myself "any business that was JUST OPENED during this crazy time has got to be the craziest, (can I say) ballsiest move I've ever seen; that's just asking for failure right?" I figured, there's nothing wrong with checking it out since my husband and I are always looking to add to our collection of self-defense items. Ever since my husband and I made our first visit in 2020, we have been consistent customers because, yes the products, but take some time to talk to Sal and you'll realize the business is run by an honest, educated owner who knows what he's doing in this niche industry. He's also been endorsed by many people in the industry for doing what he does, just look at the patches he has displayed on his case. Just recently, Hawaii has legalized a lot of open-carry laws so business for this place exponentially picked up; well-deserved in my opinion. You'll want to stop by as soon as possible if you're looking for a certain product so you can get your hands on it or get your name on the will-call list. Or check in with Sal or his other workers when the next shipment comes in and drop by ASAP to catch the drop and have the most options available. Let me tell you, we were ready for when his next shipment of a certain product would come in. Sal said Saturday, but they came in two days earlier. By the time Saturday rolled around, SOLD OUT. My suggestion: follow them on instagram/facebook and track as best as you can because you do not want to wait till the weekend. Overall, great business, great owner, great workers, great prices, great environment.

I also bought a pepper spray for a reasonable price that has a flip cover so it doesn't accidentally spray to keep in my purse in the event I need to use it since there has been an influx of violent crazies that may attack around chinatown and downtown. The owner is very knowledgeable and friendly. Lots of parking since it is in the windward city, in the middle walkway next to Ross and across from McDonalds.

Shopping in Kailua, O'ahu, Hawai'i…read more.. Strolling along the sidewalk, I passed by Aloha Kira and did a double take. I saw Miffy on the top shelf of this store. I had to go in and ask... "Is this store related to the one in Waikiki?" Yes! This is the sister store of Kira x Miffy at the Royal Hawaiian Center! Of course, we had to look at all of the Miffy merchandise... fanny packs, hair clips, stickers, caps, plushies, etc. Other items featured Hello Kitty, Kuromi, My Melody, Snoopy, and more! There were pet gifts and a children's corner! The decor was cute and bright! Service was cheerful and attentive! We'll be back because this shop is more convenient than Waikiki! Plus... there's free parking behind the building!

The selection here rotates so they always have the newest trends- from dresses, matching sets, and I love getting sunglasses from here. If you're looking for a gift for the "it girl" in your life, Aloha Kira is the shop to check out! It's a good price range, especially for gifts!

This is a short update on my visit and review from last week. It's a "good news, bad news"…read moresituation. The food news is that the stench is gone. It appears that whatever was causing it (most likely the clogged drain pipe) was quickly fixed, and everything is smelling clean, and back to normal. The checkout still had only 1 line open, but there wasn't much need for more when I came at 11:30am. The clerks smiled and were more cheerful than I had experienced in the past, so always a plus. On the negative side, one of the main reasons I came today was due to the Tuesday special ad items. They unfortunately didn't have one of the items I specifically came for, and after one of the floor clerks checked in the back for me, he said because they "share" these items with Times Market, they often don't receive any; which I think is terrible. It's not the first time, this has occurred, and it's very annoying, and I hope they remedy the situation for more fair and equitable allocation, so it doesn't feel like a "bait and switch" type of situation (I know it's not, but still, very frustrating). Can't give more than 4 stars.
