Uniquely Kawaii…read more.. That's what CAS Crafts & Collectibles is, located in Pearlridge Center this little kiosk cart is filled to the brim top to bottom with all thinks kawaii not just stationaries and accessories but plushies and decor. Pearlridge Center is filled with many places anime and Kpop though here they just seem to find items that aren't found anywhere else and at such great prices what a find to see items that are so special and makes my gift giving a breeze! What a find including some Line Friends items which is just the most difficult ones to find and they have it here yay!! My bestie have apparently discovered this place which I have known for quite some time but haven't had the chance to write a review but they certainly deserve the five stars for the selection and friendly staff who points out the matching item to pair with whatever direction I'm going and that's a ten star team! Thank you!

How can I resist? Located between TJ Maxx and Macy's, this section of Pearlridge used to be called Downtown, but now, it's Wai Makai. I wasn't going to buy anything... Really... We had just finished breakfast and had time before lunch... CAS Crafts & Collectables has so many cute items - pens, stationary, keychains, plushies, etc. I actually found Brown and Choco pillows from Line Friends (the Korean version of Sanrio). I had to get the Brown plushie for my friend's birthday next month! She'll luv it!!! I don't want to show her the Brown and Cony angel plushies... There was only one... and it was priced lower than an online store (plus - avoid paying shipping)!!! It's also better to get items from this kiosk - rather than going to Korea to buy them! Haha! Come take a look! There are unique things here! ... and service was very friendly and helpful!

A wide selection of colors, however, a few of the popular colors and flowers were out of stock. The beads are light weight, flexible, and the stems may be easily cut shorter. I was happily surprised that it did not feel rough or abrasive against material or the human skin. Great for simple DIY craft projects. My first project was to create a forever lei bag charm. The flower beads are reasonably priced and affordable for crafting projects. Service was okay lol. The cashier could have shown a little more interest. No smile or thank you for coming today. Maybe it was an off day for her. Other employees were nice and helpful in finding the beads. Overall a 4.5 star experience. Rounded up to 5 stars.

Where's the die cut machine…read more.. Coming from the west side I thought that stopping here at the Pearl City Shopping Center lower level near Daiso would be perfect as I needed to use their die cut machine for a graduation party decor as it was late in the day with lots of errands after work I was pressed for time as I searched around this shop which is quite large but have so many branches of aisles it was a maze just searching around like a lost mouse roaming around. Though I didn't find the die cut machine I did see something new and super cute a large selection of patches all small and about an 1" in size along with various little key fob and little coin purse to personalize and at $1 each patch you know it stopped me in my busy tracks and totally got me thinking of some projects...omg! I'm not used to the layout of this location and because of that I usually don't come here but with fun items like patches and the trend of mini totes it may sway me in Pearl City for some ideas lol, staff was just there smiled but didn't really acknowledge me which was fine as I was in a hurry and left with more ideas than I needed. Thank you!

While it's not like the big craft stores on the mainland it does carry a nice line of yarns. During the pandemic I would buy a lot more skeins because my projects were bigger. Now I'm finding my supplies have dwindled and I'm back picking up more yarn but for smaller projects. I've started making leis which is actually a crocheting craft but pleasurable nonetheless. They also offer a myriad of classes for everything from jewelry making to lei making and it's amazing to see the number of men in the mix. Good for you guys! Crafting is a great may to focus on something that is relaxing and fun. Got to be a reason so many do it. There's quite a selection of items for baking, scrapbooking, framing, painting, floral arrangements and believe it not making fishing lures. Yep my grandson is always in here buying stuff to make his lures with. This business is in the Mapunapuna area with a parking lot fronting the store.

Buying cute bunny fabric for face masks…read more.. If you're into sewing face masks, you'll know that the supply of fabric is limited. Walmart's selection is quite scarce while Fabric Mart is well stocked with the basics, Japanese designs, and Hawaiian prints. Korean material is almost non-existent on Oahu. However, my friend, Donna O., spotted some on Instagram. There's a local vendor named 808 Craft and Gift Fairs. The business page showed some really cute patterns, especially Cony (the white bunny from Line Friends) fabric! I messaged the business and was invited to come over and take a look. I arrived in Pacific Palisades in Pearl City, Oahu in the afternoon. It was perfect timing because the owner, Lauren, was outside and finishing up with the customer before me. She invited me onto her property (with her guard dog) to check out items in her silver colored van. The front passenger seat was filled with face masks made in Korea. There were children's sizes as well as adult sizes. Lauren showed me the quality stitching and the wire nose guards which prevent fogging on eyeglasses. The back of the van held the fabrics. They're currently going for $25 for two yards. Some were linen, some were solids, and some were kawaii prints. I focused on the pandas for my nieces and the sloths for my friend, Dear Daniel... lol! Lauren also pointed out the soft, durable Japanese elastic. It's good for replacing elastic that will eventually stretch out. We don't think that there will be an end to this COVID-19 lifestyle, so, we may as well be prepared and have fresh elastic on hand. Right now, she's offering 100 yards (black or white, 1/8 inch width) for $35. Note: If you bring cash or use venmo, there's a slight discount. Service is outstanding because Lauren is so knowledgeable, personable, and helpful. (It turns out that she married my friend's cousin.) She encouraged me to sew faster so that I can return next week and purchase more fabric... hahaha! P.S. 808 Craft and Gift Fairs sponsor virtual craft fairs that reach all 50 states! Contact Lauren via Instagram to find out more!

Ok so this may seem a bit unfair because there isn't another store that sells this much fabric,…read morebut, I'm rating this visit based on my daughter's happiness. First things first, this store is located in the VERY BACK of Pearlridge industrial warehouses. If you know where the dealership & GOODWILL in Pearl city is... THEN YOU'LL FIND IT! Because it's IN THE BACK THERE! You CANT MISS IT! It's next to where the old JELLY'S was. There is a lot of open parking. Restrooms, I'm not sure where or if they have one in that area opened to the public. Prices range anywhere from $2.00 to as high as $50.00 PER YARD. Depends on what type you want or looking for and if you want it by the yards or remnants. I don't know what else to say about this place other than ITS A MUST WHEN NEEDING FABRIC! But... as mentioned earlier... this post is gonna be based off my daughter's experience and outcome. I must say... they DID NOT disappoint! She had a sewing project done for school and IM SUPER PROUD OF HOW WELL SHE DID! Both her dad and I! So as you all know... they have PRETTY MUCH EVERY TYPE, COLOR, STYLE, THEME OR PATTERN OF MATERIALS, right!? So I expected her to take forever on choosing a material. But she found it in half hour and the rest was DUCK SOUP! They also had the very same color thread that matched perfectly with her fabric she chose. So that was AWESOME! AND it was the style she needed too! I didn't realize the threads were all different! Lol! ANYWHO... the teacher told them to get about 1-1/2 yards of fabric & DID state they shouldn't buy anything more than $3.00. But of course my husband had to give his princess whatever she wanted. Which wasn't much. We got her a little extra on the fabric just incase she needed it. But her final product was so BEAUTIFUL... I wish our small sewing machine worked. She wanted to make more for Christmas and pass them out or sell them at the Christmas fair. But it's ok. We'll manage. However, take a look at her project. (SEE PHOTOS) She chose a light sun yellow color fabric with local Hawaii pictures on them. The reason why she chose that specific fabric was because she wanted the HAWAIIAN FLAG that was in there. There were other nice colored fabrics with different designs too! But that was her reason for this one! If you do shop here and you don't know exactly what you're looking for, expect to stay for more than an hour. It's so HARDZ TO CHOOSE!!! If it could, I would live in here and make everything and anything! LOL!!! But they didn't have a few things on the list BUT luckily, we had it at home. I made her a ziplock bag with everything labeled and placed well in the bag. I also told her to make sure she keeps it that way so she's organized and she doesn't lose anything. She did exactly what was told and she was the 2nd or 3rd student to finish her project. This was out of ALL PERIODS too! Her teacher was amazed with her work! She asked if she could do another, but because their quarter was ending. The teacher told them no, because they're putting the machine back into storage til next years class. But I'm proud of her for making her drawstring pouch and her total bag. And it's ALL THANKS TO FABRIC MART! Okie dokes thank you for looking and have a good one guys! A hui hou MALAMA PONO ALOHA!

I stumbled upon Fabric Mart near Pearlridge Center last week when we cleaned up for the New Year and dropped off donations nearby. So, I decided to check it out today. First of all, it's a HUGE space with fabrics galore!!! Lots of local, Hawaiian print material. Wall full of fancy, frilly ones. And even, solid choices of fabric for curtains and furniture! Also, they sell gorgeous 100% silk options! This place definitely could be an inspo to stir up creativity we need from time to time. Also, they sell accessories that usually come with sewing projects including patterns and zippers. Unfortunately, I did not see any sewing machines. Nor, do they offer sewing classes. This shop is not visible from the main road. Mosey on towards the back line-up of businesses including a gymnastic's school and an Asian home furnishings store. There is ample, free parking. I thought the staff working was not very friendly. Probably due to not in work mode because it's right after the long holidays. I recommend here if you are wanting a wide selection of fabric for your next craft project.
