Ok so this may seem a bit unfair because there isn't another store that sells this much fabric, but, I'm rating this visit based on my daughter's happiness. First things first, this store is located in the VERY BACK of Pearlridge industrial warehouses. If you know where the dealership & GOODWILL in Pearl city is... THEN YOU'LL FIND IT! Because it's IN THE BACK THERE! You CANT MISS IT! It's next to where the old JELLY'S was. There is a lot of open parking. Restrooms, I'm not sure where or if they have one in that area opened to the public. Prices range anywhere from $2.00 to as high as $50.00 PER YARD. Depends on what type you want or looking for and if you want it by the yards or remnants. I don't know what else to say about this place other than ITS A MUST WHEN NEEDING FABRIC! But... as mentioned earlier... this post is gonna be based off my daughter's experience and outcome. I must say... they DID NOT disappoint! She had a sewing project done for school and IM SUPER PROUD OF HOW WELL SHE DID! Both her dad and I! So as you all know... they have PRETTY MUCH EVERY TYPE, COLOR, STYLE, THEME OR PATTERN OF MATERIALS, right!? So I expected her to take forever on choosing a material. But she found it in half hour and the rest was DUCK SOUP! They also had the very same color thread that matched perfectly with her fabric she chose. So that was AWESOME! AND it was the style she needed too! I didn't realize the threads were all different! Lol! ANYWHO... the teacher told them to get about 1-1/2 yards of fabric & DID state they shouldn't buy anything more than $3.00. But of course my husband had to give his princess whatever she wanted. Which wasn't much. We got her a little extra on the fabric just incase she needed it. But her final product was so BEAUTIFUL... I wish our small sewing machine worked. She wanted to make more for Christmas and pass them out or sell them at the Christmas fair. But it's ok. We'll manage. However, take a look at her project. (SEE PHOTOS) She chose a light sun yellow color fabric with local Hawaii pictures on them. The reason why she chose that specific fabric was because she wanted the HAWAIIAN FLAG that was in there. There were other nice colored fabrics with different designs too! But that was her reason for this one! If you do shop here and you don't know exactly what you're looking for, expect to stay for more than an hour. It's so HARDZ TO CHOOSE!!! If it could, I would live in here and make everything and anything! LOL!!! But they didn't have a few things on the list BUT luckily, we had it at home. I made her a ziplock bag with everything labeled and placed well in the bag. I also told her to make sure she keeps it that way so she's organized and she doesn't lose anything. She did exactly what was told and she was the 2nd or 3rd student to finish her project. This was out of ALL PERIODS too! Her teacher was amazed with her work! She asked if she could do another, but because their quarter was ending. The teacher told them no, because they're putting the machine back into storage til next years class. But I'm proud of her for making her drawstring pouch and her total bag. And it's ALL THANKS TO FABRIC MART! Okie dokes thank you for looking and have a good one guys! I am more of an outdoors type of person, but recently have been thinking of taking up a crafty hobby for those gloomy, rainy days. I stumbled upon Fabric Mart near Pearlridge Center last week when we cleaned up for the New Year and dropped off donations nearby. So, I decided to check it out today. First of all, it's a HUGE space with fabrics galore!!! Lots of local, Hawaiian print material. Wall full of fancy, frilly ones. And even, solid choices of fabric for curtains and furniture! Also, they sell gorgeous 100% silk options! This place definitely could be an inspo to stir up creativity we need from time to time. Also, they sell accessories that usually come with sewing projects including patterns and zippers. Unfortunately, I did not see any sewing machines. Nor, do they offer sewing classes. This shop is not visible from the main road. Mosey on towards the back line-up of businesses including a gymnastic's school and an Asian home furnishings store. There is ample, free parking. I thought the staff working was not very friendly. Probably due to not in work mode because it's right after the long holidays. I recommend here if you are wanting a wide selection of fabric for your next craft project. read more

There are two fabric marts that I am familiar with. One in town and one in Aiea. The one in Aiea has more parking and more variety. I wasn't able to find the fabric in the color that I needed at the Fabric Mart in town so I went to the Aiea store. It took a few minutes to find/ask a staff person where to find the fabric I was looking for. The person I spoke with knew exactly where the fabric was. They had one bolt of the fabric that I needed in a color that would work for me. A bigger plus, I was able to go in, find what I needed and check out pretty quickly. read more

This location is like a warehouse with three big rooms. I was searching all over the first room when I finally gave up and asked for help. I was led into the second room where staff climbed up a ladder and retrieved a bolt of felt for me! Note: There's no air conditioning, so, be prepared. Fabric Mart has all kinds of material - from silk and organza to muslin and polyester blends. They have a wide variety of prints: sports teams, novelty, Hawaiian, Asian, seasonal, etc. If you need zippers, thread, pins, scissors, needles, elastic, patterns, buttons, or anything else, I'm sure they have it! With the limited fabric places on this island, Fabric Mart has the most selection. Went here a lot during Covid to help with sewing masks for different first responders when there was a mask shortage. What was sad was when they had to limit the amount of people that went in the store while there were big box chain stores that looked like they could take in limitless amount of people! That was such a horrible time for our local stores. Fortunately, it is post Covid restrictions and they are still around. 10-27-2020 searching for Hawaiian Christmas prints? You might want to view the few bolts they have here. BUT if you need more classic Xmasy fabric it's not available here. I asked one of the workers, where's your Christmas material? She said, We didn't order this year. We have little bit WAY in back, 2 nd row and she walked away. I looked aimlessly and 2 employees must have seen me looking dumbfoundedly lost, which second row??? In need of help like a kitten out on a limb, I was never asked, Can I help you? Finally I found one Piglet panel Xmas bolt but it was not what I was looking for. Walking back to the front of the shop and seeing a different worker leaving the fabric checkout station I headed toward her...Excuse me, do you remember seeing any penguin material ? We have, she replied. You do?! I excitedly exclaimed in hopeful anticipation. Then she says, we sold out. Awww- shuckins...my joy deflated like a punctured tire... One star for must wear mask to enter. Second star for hand sanitizer by register. Third star for contactless temperature scanner BUT it's not located close enough to the entrance/exit door. Someone could easily enter bypassing the machine. If you are close enough it will say LOUD and clear: NORMAL... how shame if it wasn't!!! Glad the long lines to purchase fabric and elastic for masks was not there when I went. Glad I started my visits before things got crazy! People waiting in line for insane periods of time... That's just bonkers! Now the website allows for scheduled appointments. That's much better than the herds waiting outside. 20 minute visits, so know what you need ahead of time. The selection was great. Now it's definitely harder to find more specific colors or prints you're looking for. The oriental fabrics are definitely my fave to browse. I'm not a very creative crafter, so I stick to basics. I've purchased a couple of different thread colors and types. All have worked out well for what I've been up to with my crafts. The price is good too. The workers are stressed, I'm sure. But they're doing a great job taking care of everyone. People just need to be more understanding during this pandemic. I haven't had any problems. Hopefully as the weeks progress, the stock will be replenished and we'll all be able to get the items we need quickly and easily. I'm definitely going to continue visiting this location. It's the closest to home and the layout is easy to navigate. Lots of parking nearby too. read more

Stood in line for about 1hr 30mins today. Not too bad considering the long line I seen on social media the other day. The long queue seemed to move along every 5-20mins with a maximum of 20 shoppers indoors. They have a ton of cute prints but honestly if felt like there wasn't much in my interest left. I was specifically looking for certain character prints, Cookie Monster, Minecraft, and baby shark but was out of luck. Although I did end up leaving with some adorable fabric. Minus one star for the customer service. My only interaction was with the lady cutting my fabric and the cashier. The cashier was just not having it today. No patience and lots of attitude after asking a simple question as if we had known what items and specific sizes were left. Someone needs a Snickers. LOL read more

May 24, 2021.......CDC has relaxed some of its masks protocols....but me being me.....I'll will continue to wear my homemade masks whenever I'm out n about....in a crowd, definitely!! So, off to Fabric Mart I go..... a bit of an addiction to pretty designed fabrics..... When I come out to the islands, I always try to find Hawaiian print bandanas because they look more unique than the typical, but alas, most of the time no can find. I was doing business nearby, and I stopped in. They had some fabric squares, and I asked if they had more that size but that was it. However, one of the women said, "Why don't you buy a half yard of the fabrics that you want, and cut them in half. It's about the same size." GENIUS! Which patterns to choose was tough! I do not recommend this specific fabric Mart!!! I had purchased an item in the morning, i came to return the patterns due to grabbing the wrong ones. While purchasing they had not advised anything about not being able to return. I called the store and asked if i could return the patterns as they're untouched and i had grabbed the wrong ones. THEY ADVISED I COULD. thats why i took a drive to go have it exchanged!!! I couldn't even switch out to the ones i needed. Went here to pick up some buttons for a jacket, but they don't stock their buttons well. They didn't have more than 2-4 buttons per style, and most buttons were completely out of stock. Guess they mostly focus on selling fabric rather than items needed for sewing. Don't go here for buttons. read more

Ho, it's been some time since I visited here. I use to come here-and-there throughout the years, for the past 20 years. I had to drop my car off with my mechanic nearby and decided to pop in. They have expanded their retail space (more than double) and are WAY better organized. It was much easier to see all the rolls and spools of fabrics. I hope they continue to do well as our available options for in-store fabrics are limited on the island. May they have more stores in town... but who wants to drive there? read more

When you live on the West side, it's always a pain to have to drive to town when you want something. So as always, I yelped what the closest fabric store there was to me. Low and Behold, Fabric Mart was not too far and had a website with a large selection of fabrics. The location is behind Goodwill Pearl City. There is ample parking; they have their own marked stalls. Walking in, I had memories of my grandmother and mom looking at all the fabrics and thinking of all the cool things they can make. Fabric Mart has a great selection of lace, silk, satin, hawaiian prints and even upholstery fabric. I came here to buy all the materials for my wedding reception dress, entourage and workout partner's digs. We got 4 different colors of fabric. If you are looking for double width materi theu have it too. I've also bought lace, velvet, zippers and buttons. They have everything you need to sew your imaginative design. I almost bought more fabric just because it was pretty. Overall, i spent less than $80 for the whole wedding party, including my wedding reception dress! Score! I will no longer be shopping here. I tried to return defective webbing. I purchased 9 yards and the last 16 inches had a section that I could not use for bag straps. It had black markings on it and you could see where two pieces were melted together. I was completely embarrassed, when in front of other customers, two workers began measuring, calculating and insisting that I was given extra webbing. I had precut five pieces at 1.5 yards. That's equals 7.5 yards. That means that the piece I tried to return was the last of the 9 yards, although a little shorter than my other pieces. I was going to buy more webbing because I added more bags to my project but after the way I was treated, I decided to take my business elsewhere. read more

Started sewing again during quarantine and found fabric for all my projects here! No selection of cool geometric patterns, other patterns, simple stripes, dots, checkers, black and white patterns or neons, but bought whatever I could find and turned them into masks. Their appointment app works really well when we needed it during lockdown, and think it could be a model for other stores to follow. In our current tier, we can go in without an appointment and simply scan your forehead for temperature and sanitize your hands before shopping. If you ask nicely and they're not too busy, they'll help with bringing large, heavy rolls of fabric buried under other large, heavy rolls of fabric (that only I seem to want) to the counter. Their thread rack is pretty limited these days and they're always sold out on 49ers fabric for my hubby. Their checkout line for cutting fabric is a bit tight and kinda dark and creepy between wall and tall standing rolls of fabric, but at least customers are 6' apart with floor markers. Worthless customer assistance employees. My third time going in this place and I yet had anyone helped me. I walk around the store and even up to the front seeking assistance but when employees are done helping customers at the register they seem to just ruffle the fabric on the rolls and stray away from me.
