Plato's Closet is a great way to do so as they will purchase your items though mind you they are pretty full so are now pretty selective with your items. Many are targeted for teens and younger crowds with that are searching for specific brands and styles. The process is easy you check in with your iD and information and wait until you see your name on the chalkboard to which they will go over with the items they have chosen and you do still have the option to sell your items to them on this visit they seem to have wanted my eco bags which I had a bunch that they now are still in excellent condition along with some shoes. If you do find items there as well the money you receive from them items you just sold will go into a discounted price which makes it a win win in these situation and not filling the landfill with items that could have been avoided. I scored a green palaka shirt that I plan to rock on the beach for Christmas, plus picked up some screen-printed shirts as gifts. I never ever considered shopping at a second hand store let alone to sell my items that I no longer need/use that I usually do donate rather than to just toss it away is always a great solution not just to make some extra money but just knowing that it's not the end of the road for many loved items. If Eco-Town Select which is located ocean side in Ala Moana Center is located on the street level which is one level below the mall level sounds familiar they do have Eco Town in Iwilei which does buy more standard item while this Ala Moana location is much more selected. It's understandable and quite refreshing to see their inventory of upscale and brand name items along with more popular trend items as well. While I was browsing around I was more interested in some of their jewelry more costume ones that were holiday themed that I do have an idea for its use is cool to see along with vintage Japan Airline bags, various brand Aloha Shirts, totes, shoes and even Disney ears which I have a similar one that lights up. The staff there is friendly as they greet each guests that walks in the door and even made sure that they're always open to purchase our items. They had vintage Levi's shorts by the barrel (note that the older year sizes run SMALL, so try a few different sizes to get an idea of the right fit). We hardly ever get to Wahiawa to walk around and this was one of those Saturdays where we wanted to explore, My friend is sooo into vintage Aloha Shirts and they had a good selection at decent prices. He ended up purchasing two at $20 each, both were in great condition and not the "run of the mill" stuff. We did have a great chat wtih the very personable owner who gave us a tour of the building which was purchased by their non-profit. We were very impressed with the apartments behind the store front where many of the volunteers are housed along with their facilities for homeless. They had restrooms and showers that the homeless could use (they were timed entry) along with a pantry where food was distributed. They also had classrooms including an art and dance room to get troubled younger people interested and out of the streets. It's great to know you are helping a good cause when you are shopping!
