Taking time off to work to declutter. Lots to go through and get rid of. I figured instead of donating everything, which would be easiest, I'd try to sell some of my things and try consignment. That's how I found Eco Town. I've walked pass this store several times over the years at Ala Moana and never knew what it was. They do have some really nice high end items that are being sold on eBay. Got to Ala Moana Tuesday morning at 10 am when they opened up. My family and I were buzzed into the store. I said I wanted to sell items to them. We were told only bags, purses, muumuus, aloha shirt ok, but no shoes or toys. The three items I could sell to them was a new with tags Michael kors purse I bought in 2020 that I never used. People online were selling the same purse at $255, a 2013 San Diego comic con original Batman cast swag bag and a new and unused Victoria secret marketing bag. The very sweet clerk put the items into a bin, gave me number and said it would take 30-mins to review the items. We took a few minutes to browse the store and they do have some really nice items. Really good place to come to if you were eying a specific LV purse a few years ago that sold out before you could get to it. It might be here for a few $100 less. Im told that LVs in good condition tend to keep their value. I didn't have breakfast so we headed to the food court. While eating, got a phone call that they were done with evaluating the items. I kind of knew what I was going to be offered for my MK purse and I got a bit more than I expected. For the other two items, I'm surprised I got an offer but they were in really good condition. All in all, I made $51. This was a great learning experience and we will definitely be back to both sell and shop. Next, looking forward to trying a consignment closet. read more

It's National Secondhand Sunday... I never ever considered shopping at a second hand store let alone to sell my items that I no longer need/use that I usually do donate rather than to just toss it away is always a great solution not just to make some extra money but just knowing that it's not the end of the road for many loved items. If Eco-Town Select which is located ocean side in Ala Moana Center is located on the street level which is one level below the mall level sounds familiar they do have Eco Town in Iwilei which does buy more standard item while this Ala Moana location is much more selected. It's understandable and quite refreshing to see their inventory of upscale and brand name items along with more popular trend items as well. While I was browsing around I was more interested in some of their jewelry more costume ones that were holiday themed that I do have an idea for its use is cool to see along with vintage Japan Airline bags, various brand Aloha Shirts, totes, shoes and even Disney ears which I have a similar one that lights up. The staff there is friendly as they greet each guests that walks in the door and even made sure that they're always open to purchase our items. Small business like this that gives items life is great as the price isn't only that's nice but the selection of item that's selected as well. Thank you! read more

EcoTown select is acute little store, located in Ala Moana shopping center that sells gently used clothes, handbags, and designer goods. I found the store to be clean and very well organized. They have a good selection of Aloha shirts (a lot of them were Reyn Spooner), women's designer shoes, athletic shoes, designer handbags, and other high-end items. There was also a small selection of framed artwork, and ukuleles. They also do buy gently used designer products, purses, and Aloha shirts. I didn't purchase anything during this trip, but definitely want to return and check out some additional items. read more

They have a wonderful selection of aloha shirts in all sizes and prices. There is also an area with a few vintage hawaiian dresses as well. Saw a Sig Zane Aloha shirt displayed in the window for $70. I took a couple of NWOT aloha shirts in to sell, purchased from a boutique renowned for its stunning clothing adorned with original artwork exclusive to their brand. Each design telling a unique story and carrying deep meaning. These shirts retailed for over $100 and they offered me $5 each. I also had two ladies blouses from a renown local brand known for their inside out prints and was offered $4 each. Needless to say, I apologized for wasting their time and left with my items. I've sold my things here before, I would say probably 6 times and out of those 6, my last 4 experiences with them has been off putting that I decided I no longer want to do any business with them from now on. Their store manager, I'm assuming the older Asian male, has been extremely rude. The female associates are super nice, but he keeps cutting them off to speak and he would yell and put you down. There was this one time he also accused me of trying to steal his collapsible crate when I brought my own to carry the stuff I was trying to sell. For anyone thinking you want to sell your items here, I'd suggest to go online instead. My recent visit, I tried selling a bag but they only offered $300. When I quote the same bag online, online offered $1000 for a quick buyout. read more

I was reading through some of these reviews about the associates being rude, and I don't get it. They two men working there were nothing but nice. We didn't need our hands held while surveying the goods, but asked to see a number of items, and they were helpful, honest and fully disclosed any imperfections in the products. We found an amazing LV bag in really good condition, Prada and Chanel heels, and a pair of shades. You have to hunt a little to find the treasures and bargains, but that's all part of the fun! All in all, we are stoked about our purchases and the experience! I suspect if you're asking about return policy, warranted etc they might get annoyed since you're in a second hand store, but overall these guys were great! We will definitely be back and hope to find some more amazing items! read more

Omg! I don't even want to review because I don't want the people to know about this hidden gem lol. Stumbled on this place. By chance we happened to walk in that direction of the mall and am so glad we did. Something in the window caught my eye and end of story. Came in about 15-20 minutes before they were about to close and that was definitely not enough time. A total thrifter's paradise without having to dig. The store is so clean and the items are pretty well kept. The staff are all super sweet. No food or drink for good reason but there's a tray by the door where you can leave your goods. Unfortunately we came late but we literally came back the next day when they opened. So glad we did because I found so many more great finds! I love it here. Go support them. I recently went to Japan and this store is really similar to their thrift stores there. Something for everyone. Happy hunting! I can't wait to come back! Great aloha shirt finds in here for resonable prices and in great condition. The shoes/ bags are a little overpriced for what would actually sell and a few are pretty worn/dirty. We were greeted at the door but not checked on while walking around for 15+ minutes which is interesting because it's a tiny store with 3 workers chatting. There's a lot of cool high-end watches like Bvlgari, Cartier, and Rolex, but they are all way above the market prices for used watches. I love to see their ukulele section and designer shoes when I stop by. read more

I have very mixed reviews having been both a buyer and a seller at Eco Town. As a buyer, you could find some nice items at decent prices and not have to bid online. That said, as a SELLER, this place give pennies on the dollar. I'm talking about a bag I should have tried to sell online that would have gotten 4-6 times what Eco Town gave me. My items were barely used, so I'm mad at myself for letting it go for a ridiculous amount here. This place would be for those people who don't want to be sellers online. Do not sell at this location! If need be go to Iwelei instead. I have been a long time reseller at this location and have seen a down fall in the level of customer service and pricing for purchases in the last year. I took my GUCCI keychain ( mind you this is a $200+ ) and a few other items to the store to sell, and to my astonishment they tried to offer me $15. Really? Oh and btw I didn't mentioned but last time I went, they bought my Ferragamo bag I had for $30 and had it displayed for $300. Seriously? What ever happened to offering 30% of what EBay sells it for. The place is super over stocked, and over priced. The quality of customer service has dropped tremendously. They buy and sell clothes, household goods, bags, shoes, etc. No, they don't accept anything abs everything. I think they accept things they know could or would sell, which makes sense. I've been to Eco Town in Iwilei, and I was excited that a new store was going to open in Ala Moana, but then I learn it will be Eco Town SELECT, meaning only a select type of merchandise you can buy and sell. It's main selections are brand name and designer hang bags, shoes, wallets, watches, and other accessories. It also has an abundance of brand name Aloha Shirts from Tori Richard to Kahala to Reyn Spooner and etc, ukuleles, and Hawaiian artwork. Eco Town Select is located where GameStop used to be at the first level, Macy's side, makai side. This store is bright, clean, and organized. If you need a secondhand hang bag or Aloha Shirt, definitely visit here. The prices are pretty decent, and quite a few items are new or close to it. I've sold a bunch of my stuff at Eco Town, but never at this store. I don't own THAT many designer brands, and I want to keep all my Reyn Spooner shirts. My wife had a Tod's purse she wanted to get rid of, and Tod's isn't a popular brand here, but we noticed this store was selling them. We took the purse here, and got a decent price for it! The staff here are friendly and helpful. I don't have enough experience selling here, but if it's like Eco Town in Iwilei, the price they'll buy your things for varies pretty widely. Hopefully, that's not the case for this store. So far, so good. Overall, a really nice store to have in Ala Moana where you can sell your things for cash, and purchase quality, authentic items that are practically new for a fraction of the retail cost. read more

Second hand store! They sell used high end brands such as Louis Vuitton, channel, Dior, Gucci, Etc. I came here when they first open and loved it! They have many old school Louis Vuitton which I'm into and bought a lot of used Louis Vuitton from here! The prices are cheap and the condition of the Louis Vuitton products I bought were in great condition as well! The service here is great! The workers greet you when you come in and if your looking in the show case then they will ask you if you wanna see anything inside. They will let you hold the product and show you where the damage area is on the product. They are all 100% authentic if not then they will give your money back. But all high end products have codes. If you don't know where the code is then The Eco town workers will highly help you find it. Some of the high end products comes with the box it comes with but some don't since the first owners sometimes sell their used product with/ out with the box/ dust bag it comes with. They don't used sell used high end brands. They have high end Aloha shirts, shoes, purses, wallets, sunglasses, belt, etc! They have everything for men and women! I was walking back to my car this way and happened upon the store. i went in and was looking around. i found brooch section. the gold one was 30 and the others were priced 5. 8 and 5. costume jewelry. the gold one was the 30.00 one. i was asking for a particular pattern and the helpful store associate was looking for it and the man and lady were ringing me up. they were talking in japanese and i was preoccupied with her looking for it i didnt notice till i git iut the door they had overcharged me. the prices were clearly visible on the backing thing they were on but then they removed them from the holder and put them in a ziploc bag. im not so cheap i can't afford and extra 12 dollars but it is more the principle that they were dishonest. read more

How does no one know about this shop? My absolute favorite place in the Ala Moana Center is the Eco Town thrift store - tons of used/vintage designer handbags at fractions of retail stores in the same complex and an amazing selection of aloha shirts. I saw Kate Spade, Tory Burch, and Coach priced at starting at $20 and lusted after a pair of gorgeous $150 Louis Vuitton satin floral sandals that were, alas, too small. My mother bought a brown leather Coach purse for $40. I wanted a peach and black Chloe satchel, a Marc Jacobs tote, and vintage Pan Am bag but had no room in my luggage. The Chanel and Prada behind the glass were among the many items in great condition. If you are addicted to designers, but have to be your own sugar mama/daddy, this place is worth checking out. Tip: Touch all the labels you love upstairs and then come here to score them at amazing prices. read more

Upon arrival the doors are locked until an associate rings you in. Their selection is so quirky and you will spend a bit of time browsing the shelves/ racks. I was more interested in the handbags and it was just fun to see an assortment of things. I saw so many trendy and classic items at a reasonable price point. Left with a few vintage knick knacks (keychains) to match my vibes! They were so kind to take the care and do a quick wipe down/polish even though my purchase was small. read more
