Been apart of the Rhea Lana scene for many, many, many years and you really do learn a lot about (1) the consumers and (2) the producers. Rhea Lana's most recent management does a wonderful job at informing consignment sellers (of all experience levels) how to put their new, used, or preloved baby goodies up for sale. The process is really quiet easy to understand and the site's instructions are fool-proof. Consigners keep a majority of their profit and there are advantages of using Rhea Lana (early bird days, discounts, seller rewards, etc.). Rhea Lana is purely donation-based. Everything you see was brought in by the local community therefore its a really awesome passive income for moms just trying to destash and make room in their homes. Id also like to mention that the prices you find are relatively inexpensive. Most consigners are honest and frequent Rhea Lana participants so items come in clean, with all the parts (maybe even batteries if needed), and are popular. Sure you got those that overpriced or bring in not-your-best quality items but thats just 5% of the whole. Rhea Lana locations are huge! Windward Mall's location has DOZENS of racks, shelves, and tables full of goods wanting new homes! Baby goods, clothes, to teen clothes and shoes. Great resource for parents who dont want to always shop at the store or at a thrift store -- Rhea Lana is in the middle. Just check it out as you may never know what treasure awaits!

I went to this place this past Saturday while they had their 50% off sale. While checking out one of the workers had explained the whole concept behind the store and why they do what they do. He said that 1) they don't buy the items from people - people set whatever prices they want for each individual item and then if it sells, then Rhea Lana gets 30% and if the item doesn't sell then they can come and pick up their item. 2) there is also the option to donate your items to a charity that the store chooses and their (RHEA LANA) choice of charity changes constantly. I got there and most of the good items were gone but it was such a good place to shop! Especially for those who are looking for discounted prices on baby items. My total for the 4 items was $12 .

Consigner Experience **Rhea Lana** Rhea Lana is a children's consignment franchise located in 25 states. Hawaii, we lucked out and are one of them. This consignment event usually happens twice a year. One in the spring and one in the fall. It happens at different locations. Rhea Lana allows you as the Consigner to price your own items. You can sell clothes, toys, baby gear, maternity wear, accessories, shoes, and strollers. **Consigner Tips** As the seller-This was my first time consigning with Rhea Lana. 1) Familiarize yourself Rhea Lana's website. - There are videos on how to sell your items and pricing tips. 2) You have to provide your own hangers, tags, and safety pins, rubber bands, ziplock bags, and tape. - After the consignment there are tons of hangers up for grabs. - I purchased my hangers from Target and Walmart. - You can purchase the tags from Amazon or Walmart. 3) Wash and Inspect the items you plan to consign. - The workers actually look at all of the items you consign. Rhea Lana sells quality items at a good price. 4) Time - It takes a lot more time participating in this event. But it's worth it. - I tried to sell items at yard sales, other children's consignment stores and the swap meet. 5) PERKS OF CONSIGNING A)You can scope out the goods before the actual sale. B) You receive passes for you and a friend to shop a b. day earlier than the public. C) You get early access to the half off sale. D) Consign a minimum amount of items by a certain date and you get credit to purchase items. **Organized** Shopping is a great experience. Everything is well labeled. All the items are grouped together. Aisles are big enough for strollers. **Worry Free** You have to input every single item that you are planning to sell. This ensures that if your item gets lost or damaged they can reimburse you for it. How awesome is that!? **Friendly Staff and Consigners** Everyone seemed to enjoy what there were doing and willing to help. Depending if you volunteer you can make up to 70 percent back of your sales. There is a $10 participation fee. I didn't volunteer so I got 65 percent back of my sales. I made $80 for consigning. I tried to consign 99 items and 31 items were bought. You have to price items at a minimum of $3 so I had clothes bundled together. However, I spent about $30 for supplies. But I won a $25 gift certificate from the Facebook contest (like them on Facebook). I also got a $5 credit for consigning. Overall, I plan to consign again. I have a good amount of supplies left. It was a good experience and getting in early to the event is a great bonus to consign.

    Brand new for $3.00!

This is a really interesting vintage store! There are a lot of cool things but I was just looking for the sunglasses. Me: Are these all the sunglasses you have? He: No, I have a few more styles... He showed me what he also had that was not on display. Picked a great pair, and I'm cool again! LOL! Again, a great place to come to!

Both of our grandparents were born and raised on Oʻahu, and this vintage store brought back so many memories. The owners were incredibly down-to-earth and fun to talk story with. I scored a green palaka shirt that I plan to rock on the beach for Christmas, plus picked up some screen-printed shirts as gifts. There's also an upstairs room with more premium pieces, including collaborations with Japanese brands. Shout out to the cool mom that was buying gifts up there for her son. I've never really been into vintage shopping, but Single Double completely changed my mind. This place was more than just a store- it was an experience, and one I can't wait to revisit.

You can find aloha shirts just about anywhere on Oahu, whether at expensive boutiques in Waikiki or in the nearest ABC store. However, the visual appeal of the shirt depends completely the eye of the beholder. With that in mind, there probably isn't any other store on the island that offers a broader selection. It's pretty overwhelming. The drawback is that the massive inventory is packed in a retail space so constrained that it can be a challenge to navigate. It took me a while to realize the shirts on the central racks are the priciest, some costing hundreds and (gasp) even thousands of dollars. There are used shirts along the wall that sell as low as $9. I wasn't particularly clear on the difference in quality, but I'll give you one guess which racks I was rifling through. The clerk explained that there were a couple racks of new shirts and the rest are vintage. Many of the shirts were produced in Hawaii. In addition to shirts, they carry an assorted collection of Hawaiian themed vintage souvenirs, antiques and knick knacks. Some of the items are pretty dusty, and had me thinking that they hadn't been moved in a long time. The prices are pretty hefty (except the shirts were reasonable). There were a number of customers scooping up shirts. I was a little claustrophobic to be honest in the tight quarters. There is no dedicated parking. Street parking is available if you're lucky.

Unfortunately, I found the store closed at 1pm which gave me about 20 minutes to find the store, park, and shop. Based on reviewers feedback, parking was great (once you pull into the right driveway). Following the sign on the door, I knocked, and was greeted by a sweet volunteer who had me sign in, then gave me the '411' on the shop. The section by the door was full of sale items (3/$2), while the rest of the items in the store were priced as marked. Now I had 15 minutes! What wonderful stuff - home decor, household items, and a small shoe and clothing section. I found a brand new Harrod's backpack for $17 (on Mercari for $80); the volunteers were both excited and impressed that I found something great in the short time in the store. Put this shop on your list - clean, nice stuff, good prices, sweet volunteers, and a great cause!
