We hardly ever get to Wahiawa to walk around and this was one of those Saturdays where we wanted to explore, My friend is sooo into vintage Aloha Shirts and they had a good selection at decent prices. He ended up purchasing two at $20 each, both were in great condition and not the "run of the mill" stuff. We did have a great chat wtih the very personable owner who gave us a tour of the building which was purchased by their non-profit. We were very impressed with the apartments behind the store front where many of the volunteers are housed along with their facilities for homeless. They had restrooms and showers that the homeless could use (they were timed entry) along with a pantry where food was distributed. They also had classrooms including an art and dance room to get troubled younger people interested and out of the streets. It's great to know you are helping a good cause when you are shopping!

This is a really interesting vintage store! There are a lot of cool things but I was just looking for the sunglasses. Me: Are these all the sunglasses you have? He: No, I have a few more styles... He showed me what he also had that was not on display. Picked a great pair, and I'm cool again! LOL! Again, a great place to come to!

Both of our grandparents were born and raised on Oʻahu, and this vintage store brought back so many memories. The owners were incredibly down-to-earth and fun to talk story with. I scored a green palaka shirt that I plan to rock on the beach for Christmas, plus picked up some screen-printed shirts as gifts. There's also an upstairs room with more premium pieces, including collaborations with Japanese brands. Shout out to the cool mom that was buying gifts up there for her son. I've never really been into vintage shopping, but Single Double completely changed my mind. This place was more than just a store- it was an experience, and one I can't wait to revisit.

The name of this place does not really tell you that it's a clothes store, and it seems tucked away from the main SALT tenants so you can go here and feel like a Yelp insider who knows what's up! They had vintage Levi's shorts by the barrel (note that the older year sizes run SMALL, so try a few different sizes to get an idea of the right fit). Plenty of cool jackets, tees, hats, dresses, etc. cute aloha men's shirts. The vibe is cool, laid back, good music and they have a fitting room so you can try things on. I've been a Vintage Mu'u collector for 10-15+ years and I was super excited to see their selection of Vintage Mu'u! I took a Lyft to get to South Street from Ala Moana and I was dropped off across the street so I was a bit disoriented at first lol. I had to make sure I was walking in the right direction since there wasn't a big flashy sign. I love the humble lit up sign that said "Alterations" in the window and once I saw a mannequin in window dressed with beautiful Vintage Mu'u, I knew I hit the vintage jackpot lol! It was an adorable store with vintage Knick knacks, accessories, jewelry in glass cases, an alteration station with fabric as you walk through the door, then another section filled with racks of Vintage Mu'u of every size, along with Tops, Palaka Shorts and I also noticed some Outerwear too. I was so excited that I hit the ground running and checked out every rack with my size and collected a good 8-10 or so Mu'u to try on. (I mean I am from Maui so I can't frequent this place much lol!) There were 2 humble dressing rooms with a small basket in the corner for your shoes and belongings. I loved the selection and most of all the prices. They had vintage 80's-90's to maybe 60's-70's. I did see some rare vintage priced at $150-200+ but for the most part, reasonably priced for carefully curated vintage. I found 3 Mu'u at the end of my Vintage Haul. I scored a Black and Red Manuheali'i Dress (which aunty said everyone adored when it came in so that was definitely a score!) for $110 and 2 other Mu'u's, one was a Made in Hawaii with front bib detail in a cream color for maybe $40 and another Blue Andrade Mu'u for $45. This was definitely worth coming down from Maui. I will definitely be back on my next Oahu trip! The Aunty Owner and her daughter were the sweetest!

I was happy since I was clueless other than knowing that I wanted a vintage piece and perhaps a "newer" version as well. I came away with a beautiful Bette in a pink floral as well as another in red and yellow print. I was very pleased with my purchases as well as the help and hospitality from DeStash.

You can find aloha shirts just about anywhere on Oahu, whether at expensive boutiques in Waikiki or in the nearest ABC store. However, the visual appeal of the shirt depends completely the eye of the beholder. With that in mind, there probably isn't any other store on the island that offers a broader selection. It's pretty overwhelming. The drawback is that the massive inventory is packed in a retail space so constrained that it can be a challenge to navigate. It took me a while to realize the shirts on the central racks are the priciest, some costing hundreds and (gasp) even thousands of dollars. There are used shirts along the wall that sell as low as $9. I wasn't particularly clear on the difference in quality, but I'll give you one guess which racks I was rifling through. The clerk explained that there were a couple racks of new shirts and the rest are vintage. Many of the shirts were produced in Hawaii. In addition to shirts, they carry an assorted collection of Hawaiian themed vintage souvenirs, antiques and knick knacks. Some of the items are pretty dusty, and had me thinking that they hadn't been moved in a long time. The prices are pretty hefty (except the shirts were reasonable). There were a number of customers scooping up shirts. I was a little claustrophobic to be honest in the tight quarters. There is no dedicated parking. Street parking is available if you're lucky.
