This review is based solely on my experience with the staff during my visit today. I've shopped at Pink Box multiple times in the past and have never had any issues, which is why this experience was disappointing. My mom and I stopped in because she was looking for earrings. She had mentioned before that Pink Box has cute selections at reasonable prices, so we decided to browse. While she was looking at earrings and pointing out styles she liked, I was helping her look through them. For context, I don't even wear earrings since I have large gauges, so I wasn't shopping for myself in that section. Afterward, I moved over to the claw clips and was looking through some butterfly clips to see if they came in matching colors. A sales associate approached us and asked if we needed help. We politely said no thank you and continued browsing. What made us uncomfortable was that after that interaction, the employee remained very close to us and appeared to be watching us the entire time. When we moved to a different area, she followed. Whether intentional or not, it felt as though we were being monitored because she suspected we might steal something. My mom and I both noticed it, and it made the shopping experience uncomfortable. We are paying customers who have visited this store before and have never given anyone a reason to be suspicious of us. I understand that retail employees have a job to do, but there is a difference between being attentive and making customers feel like they're under surveillance. Unfortunately, because of that experience, we didn't feel welcome during our visit. read more

Very good big collection of all groups and all the different type of plushies, lightsticks and accessories and other bags to hold your cute idols. Service was good my cashier was nice and worked quickly. I bought Nmixx Fe304: Forward Go version album and Blue Valentine Chaos version it came out to like 60ish bucks which I think is not bad. They had a ton of other groups very big selection from many groups in the back left corner of the store with a round table with newer albums to choose from too very nice in there. read more

The cutest store, loved all the things. Took my 6 yo on a girls date at Ala Moana to celebrate her last day of school. We came across this place after stopping at the k-pop store across the way. They have a bunch of little trinkets, jewelry, hair accessories and super cute character stuff along with some k-pop stuff. She picked out a little bracelet and stuffy and I got the cutest pair of soju earrings. The cashier was friendly, there were two other workers but they didn't greet us or anything. All in all my little had fun and got to choose some fun things without breaking my wallet lol. I thought it was very well priced considering we were at the mall. read more

The first thing I noticed when I walked in was that on the door they have a collage of pics of people that stole from the store. How embarrassing! Do not steal, people. We came to look for some Line Friends items. They really didn't have much, but had lots of Hello Kitty. This is a store with lots of cutesy stuff, which is right up my alley. Been going to the Pink Box in Waimalu since high school, I would stop by this Pink Box before it moved to Ala Moana when I was a broke college student, and now I'm so glad they moved to Ala Moana making my visits more frequent and convenient. The staff is great and consistently helpful no matter who I talk to. You can also tell they enjoy what they're doing and are knowledgeable about not just the products but the store itself. I asked for the newest Stray Kids albums and they told me apologetically they don't have it in yet but check back in two weeks. I also appreciate that they had Indigo on vinyl and the price wasn't too different from Target. Honestly speaking I do wish they just scrapped the whole jewelry section and just did Kpop to allow for more groups and merch to be represented *COUGH STRAY KIDS*. Then again, I'm not the Pink Box owner so I'm guessing a lot of their sales has to be accessories for them to continue selling it all these years. Or maybe have they thought of doing a buy-and-sell program? I saw BT21 merch on sale at Ecotown. Maybe there's other people who wanna sell their plushies or merch and Pink Box could buy it and sell it to other fans who want to build up their memorabilia? read more

Thanks to Pink Box for hosting a KPOP cup sleeve event! The event was organized and fun! The patrons waited patiently since the store implemented covid limited guests precautions. BTS waded through the store as the shoppers had Permission to Dance! To get a cup sleeve, one had to purchase an item, no minimum value. Shoppers were surprised with both a BTS cup sleeve and some stickers. There were so many cute things to purchase including key chains, photo cards, lanyard, stuffed figures, scotch tape, and stainless steel jewelry. There were items for Enhyphen and Black Pink fans, too' Cute things! Shoppers were given lucky numbers for small prizes and an hourly "big" prizes. My friend won a pack of picture cards ! Lucky her! My 12 year old daughters love it here. It's filled wall to wall with nothing they NEED, but everything they WANT - cute trinkets, accessories, plushies, stationary and KPOP related items. My daughter picked out a white hat that looked like a dog or bear or rabbit (or whatever). The employee at the register noticed that one of the ears was dirty and swapped it for a new hat still in the plastic bag. Great service! Great place for gifts. I just followed her. Pink Box seems to be the relocation of N. Cat which was a store that closed at the Likelike Drive-in Center. There's also an N. Cat shop at Windward Mall, so, I'm familiar with their merchandise. Pink Box at Ala Moana mainly carries Korean items such as hair accessories, key chains, plushies, BT21 cosmetics, back packs, fanny packs, costume jewelry, notebooks, socks, writing implements, and K-Pop things like light sticks and albums. Finally here's a place filled with kawaii for everyone of all ages. Located in the Target wing on the lower level is Pink Box or what was N.Cat that relocated from it's original Keeaumoku location. I'm not a K-pop fanatic but love all things Asian and here is a great place to find an insane assortment of accessories for your hair, stationeries, phones and more. Soon as you walk in you see racks filled with cute float keychains of all shapes and colors, some socks if you know the current weather conditions BRRRR!! I've loved stickers since forever and saw they have a small yet perfect selections of shiny iridescent anime ones and fell absolutely in love with one and had a place in mind...didn't fit :-/ it's now on my phone case lol!! Super fun and vibrant place with so much to see I even got blown away from those fancy contacts o_O* but here's a great place to find that special gift for anyone, they do have a stamp card but are currently out so they advise me to save my receipts which I will because I can see myself "browsing" again in the near future. So this great place to find your KPOP goodies has moved from Keeaumoku to Ala Moana Shopping Center, by Target. The store is so much bigger with lots of space and more to look at. Whether you are BTS ARMY or Blackpink Blink, they got what you need. They also have Korean style jewelry, hair pins, kawaii style stationary and lots of fun things. Also your music Merch is all here. The staff are really knowledgeable. A young man came up too me and shared the BT21 Creme products. Incredible selection and hard to choose from, but he discussed the options with me and I walked away with a bunch of goodies that Im so excited to try. Located on the Second Floor of Ala Moana near Target and Blue Hawaii. Its a shop for anime and kpop lovers. They even sell official CDs and DVDs from Korea as well as phone and hair accessories and jewelry. It's a great place for gifts for your friends and even yourself, that I'm pretty sure you can find any bias or character at this location. There is another one located in Waimalu shopping plaza, but this has more variety. It's also fun to just browse and see what the store has to offer. Some products are a little pricy, but what can I say, shipment to Hawai'i can be really expensive. This was my first time at Pink Box. They have so many different things to see. Easy to find because they are close to Target in Ala Moana. Parking close by Just come early because Ala Moana fills up quickly. So many cute trinkets and soft plushies. If you love Hello Kitty this is your place. Prices are pretty reasonable because their merchandise is so beautiful especially the earrings and necklaces. All the merchandise are displayed nicely and organized by character or item. The staff are very friendly and go out their way to help you find exactly what your looking for. One thing I found interesting, but not beautiful was the "Wall of Shame". This is a bunch of photos of mostly teenagers who decided to steal from the shop. This is sad and I hope their family members never see their photos because that would really awful. When N Cat opened a while ago my sister and I went there. It was a small place that sold hair clips and hair accessories. They're located on Keeaumoku St across the street from Walmart. I went back again recently because we were in the area and the place looks like they really changed up some of their merchandise. They still have hair accessories like head bands, rubberbands, and clips, but now they have stuffed animals, bags, stationary, and a lot of Korean Kpop merchandise. There were a lot of people in there looking at the Kpop stuff. I like that they expanded their selection of merchandise. The workers here all suck. They will follow you around and stare at you as if you're some sort of thief. I am an occasional shopper at this location, yet I still always find myself being stared at by one of the employees-- ESPECIALLY that one male employee. He's probably the worst of them all. I see some of them acting like they're "arranging" the shelves near me when in reality I know they're just trying to watch me. I don't even know how I give off the vibe of a thief ??? None of them ever really greet me when I walk in which I find weird since I hear them greeting other customers. It's as if they have something against me which makes no sense since I always mind my own business whenever I'm inside. My daughter and I absolutely love this store. This location is the biggest one we have been to. As we walked inside, I was greeted hello and was told if I have any questions to ask. Such great customer service here. That's a major plus. They sell a lot of cute stuff from socks to jewelry and anime stuff. Of course they have stuff from Korean pop bands. I spotted Hello Kitty masks here. A little pricey here than other stores I have seen them. Their jewelry collection was super cute and affordable. Mostly costume jewelry. They had hair clips and hair accessories. So much cute stuff. Lots of room in this store. This is located on the second floor on the other side of the mall. Ncat aka Pink Box were there celebrate 8th Anniversary of BTS which was posted on IG. IG is pinkboxkeeaumoku. Hours are from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm. DJ VJyoukai was playing BTS music. Employees were passing out free fans and bottled water. A young girl was asking people to sign in with name, address, and phone number. Line was long at 9:20 am. I gave a young lady behind me a homemade BTS army bomb earrings which she used. At about 10:30 am, my friend came with her 2 children and we close to front door. Employee had given out fans which were in box under the tableL She said they were limiting only 20 people in store. I asked her if 4 of us can go in together which we did. It seemed like 6 people in store not 20 people. For any purchase amount less than $30, customers get raffle ticket. For purchase over $30, customers get photo and other stuffs that are redeemed at around corner. My friend bought 2 boxes of photo cards. I didn't buy anything. read more

This store is very pricey but where else can you buy hair ties, hair bows, hair clips, hair sticks, hair ribbons and other hairy things? Plush toys, plush keychains, plush stress balls, plush back packs and other plushy things? You can also buy cell phone cases ( a whole wall of them ) and other kawaii things your pre-pubescents would love to pester you for. I spent $18 on three things: two ribbon hair clips and a hair chopstick thing that has dangly things on them...a bit pricey but unique and won't probably find unless I go to Japan or Korea. read more

My fiancé and I loved going to the one located in Waimalu Shopping Plaza. We were in Ala Moana and found out they also opened up a new location here. The store sells a lot of little knick knack items. From anime items, phone cases, to KPOP items, and a whole bunch of cute stuff. We visited on a Sunday, and there were three associates, one on the register two on the floor. We were greeted and the store only had a couple of people. We both separated and browse different parts of the store. Keep in mind it's not as big but there were so much items to look at. My fiancé was looking for gifts. We were approached by one of the associate if we needed any assistance, but we were okay and wanted to browse so we told her we were okay. When my fiancé went to the KPOP section where the albums were she was approached by another associate, to which we replied we were still looking. We had to make a phone call to ensure the gift we were going to buy was the right one. Not even a min after we were asked if we needed help, another associate came up to us AGAIN, while my fiancé is still on the phone, asking if we needed help. Mind you this was the first associate that asked us in the beginning if we needed help. At this point we felt like we were being more bothered than being helped. It was rude that they came up to us when they could clearly see that my fiancé was on the phone. The associate should also communicate with each other more on who was helped or don't need help. Overall we bought what we needed and left. The cashier was nice and helpful. We wanted to buy more items, but after that experience we just wanted out. read more

Our daughter started her collection of Blank Pink, BTS, Twice, and Red Velvet photo cards, pillows, clothing, and lanyards, all from here. If you are not really into Kpop like our daughter is then that's fine cause N.Cat has goodies like phone accessories, hair accessories, cute jewelry, and other cute things you can check out. I bought a cute small portable fan the first time I went with my daughter there and I still use the fan till this day. Other times I have gone there, I bought hair clips and a necklace. I can never walk out of N.Cat empty handed because their store is just filled with the cutest items. What really amazes me is the staff's friendly customer service. The staff always welcomes us when we walk into the store and then takes the time to ask our daughter what Kpop members she is into. They would show her the newest items or most popular which helps makes it easier for her to decide what to buy. Can't wait to go back to get more of their soft pillows read more

I say that we shop here weekly because of their KPop selection for my daughter....however, I enjoy shopping here too. They have great hair accessories that I commonly use. The staff are ALWAYS friendly and helpful. Follow them on IG to see their latest stock. They have 2 stores- here and Windward. The 3rd store is in Waimalu and owned by a different owner. Great place to shop for all ages. With COVID restrictions, they limit 8 customers at a time. I like this limit (when wait times are short) because the store is small and can get quite crowded around the album section. We can take our time and select an album without the crowd. They also require masks and hand sanitizing at the door. read more

I had no idea this was here, but walked pass after dinner in Korea Town, and stopped by to take a look around. It was like stepping into a store in South Korea. Best of all, it's located in LikeLike Plaza in the heart of Korea Town in Honolulu. It's in the same vicinity as dozens of Korean restaurants, supermarkets, and beauty shops such as Tony Moly. This is such a cute store, and I'm sure it will be a hit with every K-Pop and K-Drama fan, and those looking for imported goods from South Korea that won't be easily found elsewhere. read more

This store has a mysterious name with no indication of what to find in the store. It is basically a Korean store with all things cute. They have walls and counters full of hair accessories along with phone cases/keychains. If you have a little girl their hair accessories are to die for! Super cute and handmade! Then you have all things kpop, the ones that all the fans go crazy over (BTS). They have clothing, phone accessories, posters, light sticks, photo cards, and so much more! If you are a BTS fan this is your heaven! They also have knick knack items to choose from like slime and Pokémon characters for the boys! It reminds me of morning glory from back in the day, but Korean. The staff are super nice and friendly! You can sign up for their customer list and get $5.00 off a purchase after you spend $100.00 I believe. I love this store! There are tons of good kpop merch from albums to seasons greetings and so much more. There are other kpop stores in the island but they focus solely on boy groups. This location has a ton of both girl groups and boy groups so I can always go here to get my Twice fix! The associates are great too. Last time I was there I had a great time chatting with two of them about Twice and our biases. I recently moved here from a mainland state where kpop wasn't that popular and we had zero stores, so coming here and being able to shop merch and talk about my favorite groups is a dream. I was at Pink Box recently with my three Hanai daughters ages from 9 to 11 it appears that it's a store for young children, but as I continue to look at items, I saw a mousepad that depicted young girls in very explicit sexual poses, which, in my opinion does not belong in a young children's store. I spoke with the general manager of Alamoana about it, and his response was he didn't see anything wrong with it because it was more like a drawing, which is a very disgusting reply. There is a law against showing pornography in a place for minors.if you are concerned about not exposing your young children to such explicit sexual items, don't take them to this store. I am more surprised not more people have said anything against it. Even my nine-year-old made a comment that it was not appropriate to have this mouse pad there. If this was an adult store, it would be OK but not in a children's store. I know this type of things are everywhere in the Internet but if it's in our own neighborhood and we can do some thing about it, please do,please go there look for yourself and make a stand against this sort of thing.
