I happened to park right across the street from Calico Cat... in a metered street parking stall. Carol is the cheerful owner. She saw that I was confused because Every Day Better by Green Meadows is next door to Calico Cat. Carol explained the sign above that shows the name of the shop closest to each shop - depending on which way you face the sign. Ahhh... Calico Cat was described by their neighbor (Every Day Better by Green Meadows) as having fabric "eye candy". LOL! Yes - if you sew, you know that these bolts of material are very beautiful, whimsical, and unique! They are very inspirational and made me want to sew! Of course, I purchased a lot of material... thinking that Christmas is coming... I need to get a head start! Remember to get a Loyalty Card. Cost is higher but this is a local store and in town so you pay for convenience. Aisles filled with everything from clay, paints, poster boards, yarn, scrapbook materials, wood and everything you can imagine. This is one of those stores you wander the aisles looking at the shelves for interesting hobbies you may want to experience. Always an interesting time walking the aisles to just look and imagine what can be created. Definitely a place to take a look at and just explore that creative part of yourself!

I thought that this was a hula supply store? Since I'm here, I should just take a look, right? Browsing the aisles that were filled with all kinds of merchandise like pareo, hair accessories, musical instruments, tube tops, lanyards, check book covers, hula skirts, etc., I found a rack of long mu'umu'u! I was excited to find a pretty lei print on lavender material with purple trim! Perfect! The nice man apologized that there was no dressing room. I estimated the length and width to figure what size to get. He said there's no refund and maybe I can come back for alteration? I think I'll fit! I also saw some coin purses that will make great party favors! I got a bunch and he gave me a discount for bulk purchase! Thank you! Wow... Lots of parking, and easy to find. Across Costco, so it can get super busy. They all the colors of Palaka, with other Hawaiian prints. They didn't have a lot of selection for Palaka clothing due to holidays, but it's ok they had the Palaka fabrics I wanted! Sooooo happy I found this place! Staff were so helpful, friendly, and attentive. They offer an array of Hawaiian wear, adults, and children. They supply hula dancers as well. Definitely coming back, as this store is very stocked. My most therapeutic happy place!…read more Absolutely love this Ross Dress for Less location in Kahala Mall, located on the upper deck as this super easily parking is accessible right off the H1 Freeway exit onto Waialae Ave and I never have issues finding parking here. The selections they have here have saved me on countless occasions as I always have second thoughts on wardroom issues, last minute gifting ideas or just the munchies I've found so many great items that many can't believe it and thought it's a search it's totally worth it! Problems are my wandering eyeballs that spot the random items not on the list lol! I do walk away with not just great deal but something you don't find here on the islands, my craft chair is my absolute favorite find and it was at the best price I could find. I'm still in search for some items and am so thankful for the constant flow of inventory though that makes it a challenge to find it and what a rush! Thank you!
