Kupuna Angel Tree Wish
Karen S.

Super excited about Friends & Family weekend and the SA Angel Tree for Kupuna! Side note: The Angel Tree tables are right outside Macy's Shiseido and makeup entrance, staffed with many volunteers. Tags are distributed by girls, boys, and kupuna (male/female). Found one of each for kupuna wishing for blankets, comforters, or bed sheets. Entered Macy's, went right up their escalator to their bedding department, and, as I hoped and expected (from past Christmas tag years), there was a large variety of prints of Twin to Cal King 8-piece (eight!!!!) sets regularly priced at $100 for only $39.99!!!! They have handles for easy carry, and include two shams, cases, bedsheets, a bed skirt, and a comforter! So excited for the Christmas kupuna surprise, courtesy of Macy's excellent sale! Still happening tomorrow, so head on down ASAP!!!! Mahalo Macy's, for the great Friends & Family Sale! Also received excellent customer service - on both floors (!), despite the down-sizing, causing the limited availability to one cashier check out station per sales floor. The second floor cashier is at the top of the escalator ewa side. The first floor cashier is at the diamond head side exit just past cosmetics and across petites. Christmas gift wrapping is also offered on the first floor. Sorry, I didn't check for prices. I did see the plain gift boxes being offered at the cashiers check out, but didn't request any. There are many sizes to choose from! Again, great service and a huge selection in every department! One last thing - I met a fellow shopper wheeling five luggages!!! I just HAD to ask....! He was thrilled, they were 50% off!!!

Macy's long time anchor tenant at the Ala Moana Shopping Center. Wonderful selections in every department. Staff members are always very helpful and attentive. We went there to look for a dinner jacket and dress shirts for an upcoming event. The sales person Jennifer was Outstanding. She helped us navigate through the whole process and we came out with exactly what we were looking for and within budget. We also were shopping for new luggage. The salesman (sorry we didn't get his name) was Awesome. Helped us pick out our luggage . Loved the level of service and the quality and selection of merchandise.

A visit to Kahala mall warrants a visit to Macy's. I wanted to look at the Holiday decorations and sales in this store. I was not disappointed. Smaller in size compared to the Ala Moana one. Easy to walk through and travel upstairs to see the Christmas and holiday decorations for sale. The restrooms are located on the second floor. Lots of free covered and open parking spaces near Macy's. There was a One Day sale going on as well. Time to get more bang for your hard earned buck during a sale. Today was window shopping for me!

Exceptional Customer Service from Macy's. I returned a nesting 3 piece luggage set today. The wheels on the luggage seemed to be a little stiff. It didn't glide like it should have. There was no problem in returning the luggage for a cash refund. A pleasant greeting, I answered a few questions, and I was on my way with cash in hand. Enjoy

Macys Kahala has redesigned their floor space, bringing in the men's store from the separate location near CPK. For Christmas, they have added a Toys R Us shop. Amazing how much they can pack into the space now. I rarely buy anything at full price, just wait a week or so until there is a sale and then its like a scavenger hunt for bargains. Amazing finds and so handy now that if you have a Macys card you don't have to bring all those coupons with you. I also like how they have the return department at a counter by the front door. My kids roll their eyes at me, but Macy's is like the old Sears store, where they have a little of almost everything in one place.

This Macy's location is inside Kahala mall at the far end. Michelle R. and myself decided to go look at the last act clearance rack and I managed to find a DKNY light green shirt for $5.00! A steal! Too bad I couldn't find any other nice shirts for $5.00! The quality of the clothing here is high end and great quality. I love looking at all the name brands. There were items on sale especially jewelry and other items. The customer service here was excellent! I didn't like the fact that the other Filipino lady shooed us away because her line was apparently long and she said she was closing. What a way to draw in customers. We decided to go elsewhere to pay for our items. I only picked up two items that costs me $10 total. Not bad! Better to buy stuff on clearance and on sale than regular price. The store was clean and their fitting rooms were open.

Big mahalos and shoutout to Steve and Tari at the Kahala Macy's Women's shoes section and Soo and Clif at Ala Moana's Macy's . I was at Kahala Macy's on Friday 1/21 to find a pair of heels for an unfortunate upcoming viewing. The heels were clearance , looked nice and professional, had comfortable padding, however it was not my size. It was a 9.5 when I had needed an 8.5. Steve took an extra step in helping me search for any other locations that had this correct shoe size and he was able to find me one last pair at Macy's Ala Moana. He had spoken with Sol who had held this pair for me for 24 hours. When I went to pick it up at Ala Moana, Clif had helped me ring up my order, but then the price was not the same as I had at Kahala. It was marked up to full price (roughly 70$ instead of the price I had found it at Kahala. Clif had told me to try see Steve again to have a possible price match. I rushed to Kahala's Macy's today (1/23) but Steve wasn't working, luckily Tari was and she had remembered me 2 days ago. She had helped me out so much and I was able to get my shoes at the price I found it originally (a one time thing) . Thank you Steve, Tari, Sol and Clif for all of your wonderful help. I wish I could say these shoes were for a happier event but things happen for a reason. I really appreciate that y'all went above and beyond. P.s.Steve has always been really helpful, every time I browse shoes at Kahala's Macy's , he's always the first to approach and inform me of sales , coupons and savings. Thank you!

Question: Where can you find a Michael Kors dress (original price:$125) for $20? Answer: the clearance section of Macy's in Kahala Mall! I had a couple of gift cards and it was 4x Hawaiian Airlines Miles day at Kahala Mall. That meant that it was shopping time! I was so excited to get this great deal! I hardly ever shop at Macy's! However, these gift cards were urging me to make good use of them! On a prior visit, I discovered this "Last Chance" marked down area (aka Clearance Section) in this Macy's. I was looking forward to returning when I had more time, and this was it! I felt so lucky to find something that I liked and that I fit!

Love that i can pay my bill at the counter!

A lot of the clothing pieces travel well and are versatile. You can look beach ready and dress it up with the right accessories and shoes. Last purchase I made was for a dress item that was too long. They provided alterations so I got the dress and a week later picked it up. It was perfect! Overall, ladies you can't go wrong here. The have flattering tops, pants and dresses. My mom is into fashions that show off the great designs that appear on a Japanese kimono and obi. So, it was really cool to finally visit Montsuki. A less well known local designer along the lines of Anne Namba (http://www.yelp.com/biz/anne-namba-designs-inc-honolulu ), the Yamasaki's have been custom designing kimono inspired clothing and accessories for years. I finally met Patty and she was very nice. Hearing all the stories from my mom and friend's mothers, I was interested to see what kind of stuff she had. Much of her clothing is quite elegant, I guess that's mainly a result of using kimono textiles as your base canvas. It's all very intricate and well made. She does quite a bit of custom work also seeing as she made a beautiful dress for my friend's mother. She sells everything from dresses, tops, jackets, purses, and if she doesn't have it, you can probably have her make one for you. Anyway, you've probably driven past this small boutique and not even known it. It's located right on Koko Head Avenue (close to the corner near Waialae Avenue). Go upstairs to a small hallway, you can actually see the sign from the street. Parking is in the metered lot behind.
