Best place to gift shop or buy for yourself. Located in center of Ala Moana Center. Their is street parking and garage parking. I recommend to park in the garage. Be prepared to do a couple laps to find parking. The parking garage is always packed. I was looking for the watch and bracelet set I saw online. The online version was sold out and only available at the store. So I decided to go to the store. The set is a gift for one of my friends. Upon entry I was welcome in by service representative. He was super nice, friendly and not to over barring. I looked around then asked for help. He located the watch and showed it to me. It was just like online and I said I'll take it. I told him it was a gift. To my surprise he put a pretty red bow on box. I loved it. You can also get the watch links adjusted here. The price was the same as online. It was horrible. I was purchasing a purse from the sale rack. It was a bait and switch. When they bagged the purse, it was in a completely different color. AND because all sales are final, they will not let me exchange or get my money back. It's very disappointing. I have never been so mistreated at a store. There is no accountability for a company making a mistake. The consumer is wrong and has to pay the price. Black or Gold? I guess I just get Both. Twice I have gone to the store and couldn't decide what to get, and twice I ended up getting my top two choices. She says they are very comfortable shoes for her because she walks around the office a lot and most brands tend to hurt her feet. I only own their watches. I love them a lot because they have a huge selection to choose from. You are bound to find one in your style. They have casual to classy and the same watch in other colors. There have been incidents where I wished that had a particular style in gold, but most of their classic watches come in a variety of colors. I have one of their styles in 3 colors (gold, black and bronze). Service: The lovely ladies and friendly men that work there never fail to welcome you into the store. Within the first few steps, someone would welcome you in; sometimes even two. The workers here are always so helpful and I feel like they do more than you ask them too. They are always willing to take out 10 watches for you to try on and will keep their smile. I never did this, but I've seen some customers trying on everything. I also came in here many times to resize my watch and they did it so quick. It only took about 5 minutes or less every time and they always resize it until it fit perfectly. I once had them go back and forth 4 times to do it, but the man helping me always did it willingly. I give their service an A+. Their willingness to help and their welcoming attitude really makes you want to buy a watch or two because it will benefit the both of you. Horrible customer service. From the other reviews , it's clear I am not the only person to have this exact experience. I really love MK and have always bought their watches ...until I needed an activity tracker. Now they have a newer and improved one, so I jogged to the mall. I told the saleswoman I am looking for an activity tracker watch and she said they don't have them and told me they stopped carrying them 3 years ago. I walked to the display case , showed her the one I want and she insisted it didn't count steps, even though I could see the step counter and had made a decision online ahead of time. She basically refused to sell me a watch by denying it was what I wanted. At first, I thought maybe because I was wearing workout clothes and sweaty, maybe I didn't look like a classy customer. I had a great experience today at this store, and was surprised by it, as I haven't heard great things from friends about shopping in Waikiki in general. Urban legend has it that tourists are seen as prey, as chattle, and that you won't get good customer service in this town until you start throwing a lot of money around. Today I learned that to not be true. I stopped in Michael Kors as I was doing some Christmas shopping, in particular looking for a watch for someone who is a bit of a watch fanatic. Omega. Rolex. Really high end stuff. I was intimidated. I'm a Burberry guy on a good day, a Diesel guy on a typical day. But I digress. The sales associate, James, approached me when I entered and was very professional yet welcoming. While I like the casual atmosphere of Honolulu, it does feel appropriate in a higher-end store when the associates treat you as a client and not a customer. I found this to be the case with James from the very start. He displayed the watches to me, made suggestions in my price range, showed me how certain watches work better with certain skintones, and then demonstrated the different removeable faces that were available for one particular watch in which I was interested. I didn't feel rushed, I didn't feel pressured, and I didn't feel like I was taking up too much of his time. The watch itself was gorgeous and the interaction actually improved my mood, after my conversations and dealings with employees at other stores actually frustrated me and my mood was a bit low entering Michael Kors. Bottom line: I'll stop back in this store every time I'm in Honolulu... before I even look at other stores, and buy accessories for everyone in my family from James just because he made the experience so enjoyable. I'm not going to bother with stores who hire inexperienced sales staff who talk to me like I'm there for a game of beer pong in lukewarm cups of natty light. Props to James and whomever hired him, as well as to the rest of the staff who all seemed very nice as well. I have a problem. That problem is Michael Kors. I don't know why, or how it started. But it's there, and I doubt it's leaving any time soon. The problem is...I like Michael Kors stuff. There, I said it. I just do. It's fabulous. I never say things like that. But it is. It's classy, and chic, and makes me feel like a movie star. Sigh. Well, I started to review it, and know I'm thinking of doing some online MK shopping, but I shouldn't. So here's my actual review of this location: I highly love this store. I don't always buy my MK stuff from here, but whenever I come in, the staff is AMAZING. They are so dedicated, and sweet, and funny, that they make the store for me. The selection at this store is pretty good, and they have some fun sales in the back portion of the store. Also, you should always ask how much stuff costs, as there may be a price-reduction that isn't obvious. They have cute jewelry here, and some wonderful outfits, and of course, purses and wallets, oh my! They also have the MK perfume, but I don't really like that, because now it just smells like a store to me. Yeah, I should probably not be there that often, but it happens. I had to write this review, because I had a great experience there tonight, and then thought to myself, "Wow, I should tell someone how great they are!" Enter Yelp. I walked in 12 minutes before the store closed, looking to buy a small gift for a friend. I was dragging another friend in there with me, who was just nice enough to come along. I played with the little purses and wallets, I smelled all the smells, I hemmed and hawed. The staff (one gentleman in particular) was extremely sweet and helpful. He didn't seem impatient at all as I went back and forth, and back and forth. I'm a super indecisive person, so it's really nice when someone doesn't give you trouble for just being you. He was nothing but helpful, asking about my friend's coloring, to see which shade would match her best, and her habits. He seriously wanted me to find the best thing for her, and for me to be happy with the purchase. It took me a while, but I finally made a decision, and my purchase. After I swiped my card, I asked casually, "Can you make it [the present] pretty for me?" I was thinking he would stick some of that white paper in the bag, and I'd be off. Instead, he looked at me, smiled, and said, "Oh, yes. Yes I can." It was like it was a challenge, or something. (Keep in mind that this is now after the store was supposed to be closed.) He then proceeded to do a Love Actually style gift wrapping. Do you remember the scene where Mr. Bean is wrapping the gift? It was like that, but not annoying. Just complicated and gorgeous. I mean, there was ribbon, and paper wrapping, and a box, and....it was just crazy. I didn't buy anything super crazy expensive, but this employee really took the time to treat me, and my purchase, with such great care and respect, that I was just amazed. I mentioned to him that he was like the guy in Love Actually, with the wrapping, and he cracked up. I don't know if he really thought it was funny, but that right there, laughing at my joke, was the 5th star for this review. I just want to thank the staff for helping out a guy who walked in with a confused look on his face, thinking "what should I get my girlfriend for her birthday?" because that was my boyfriend! About 3 weeks ago, I got this AMAZING navy blue MK bag as a birthday present from my boyfriend of 3 and a half years. He totally stepped up! He;s such a low maintenance guy (which is GREAT on my part) so he doesnt really know too much about fancy brands! For a supposedly upscale, high end RETAIL store (not an outlet store), one would think that you would get a high level of customer service and professionalism. This is the first time I have patronized this store and it will probably be my last. Let's start with my sweet husband who went and took a chance and shopped at this store with no clue what to get me for Christmas 2015 except that I have been wanting a blush colored bag and wallet. On Christmas morning when I opened my gift, I was so touched that he made an effort to get me a beautiful blush pink colored bag and wallet, well at least he thought he was getting a wallet, (more on that later). The color was perfect, the style was great, but the bag was a bit too large for me and the wallet was actually a wristlet that could be used as a wallet and to put your phone in it. Strike #1- Did you ask the salesperson for a wallet or a wristlet? He said a wallet and she explained that the wristlet could be used as a wallet, so he thought Wow!, 2 uses in one, great deal! But she did not explain to him that the wristlet was a phone wristlet that had a specific slot to keep your phone in and she should have asked him that and asked him what kind of phone his wife had. My husband knows I have an iPhone 6+ and she would have immediately known that my phone would not have fit in that wristlet. So here's the part that upset me. Because he bought both the bag and wristlet before Christmas when they had some kind of sale going on, he was not allowed a refund to his credit card, only store credit. What kind of high end Retail store doesn't offer a refund less than 30 days of returning, with a receipt, merchandise not even used, all packaging in tact? And I feel he was mislead in his purchase. Strike #2 - Upon entering the store, I was greeted immediately with a smile! Yay! Then, after explaining that I wanted to return the items that I got and learning I could only exchange them for something else, in the entire store there was only one bag that appealed to me, but no matching wallet. (And I don't know about you but, I have to have a matching wallet!) The girl who helped my husband helped us again, took my info down and said she would try and locate a wallet for me and call me if she did find one. But she couldn't be bothered to try to locate one for me when I was there, because she was too busy talking stories with the 9 other employees and friends or acquaintances coming into the tiny store. Strike #3 - The employees who all were trying to look so important with their earpieces on call back to the stock room to get the items that the customer wants. So the girl who was helping me did this, called back on her little earpiece/microphone/walkie-talkie, then it took the stock person quite a while to bring it to the front, mind you, the store is tiny, mind you there is not very many items in the store to stock. Strike #4 - The sales girl who was helping us rang up my purchase, pointed to everything she needed me to do, like slide my card here, or sign here, like she couldn't bring herself to touch my credit card, maybe she has a germ phobia. But the whole time she called me "Dear", Slide your card here Dear, sign Dear, here's your receipt Dear....WTH?! I am not your DEAR, and how upscale, professional is that? Immediately after, I walked over to Macy's where the Michael Kors Rep was stocking merchandise asked her if she had a matching wallet and she immediately went on the computer to locate one for me. Handed me her card, said if I had any questions or concerns to call her. And if I wanted to return any Michael Kors item I buy I could do so for a full refund! My critical customer service critique is due to the fact that I work at a name brand, bag, accessory store that is 3 to 4 times larger than that Michael Kors store in Ala Moana and our level of customer service, customer satisfaction and return policy is on a much higher level than theirs. read more

So I love MK. I love their classic styles with the modern accents. Most of all I love their quality. I pay for quality, I could care less about labels (I have never bought a monogram bag in my life, although I have had them given to me as gifts). I buy leather, and I want it to be soft and supple. I want the stitching to be sturdy and strong and I am rather particular about how the straps are made (how strong is their stictching and how were their sides sealed together), I used to buy Coach but since they moved operations to China their quality has definitely dropped. That is when I remembered MK. Why do I care so much? Because I basically use a purse until it can't hold itself together anymore. A little over a year ago I bought this great purse that had chains and a strap for across the body wear. Flash foward 5 months and the lining had separated from the purse. I was not pleased, but being in the middle of a move I didn't have the time to bring it in to a store for repair. Flash forward another 5 months, almost 1 full year later, I finally get my butt into the Ala Moana store with my purse to see what can be done. That is when I found out MK has a policy of covering repairs inside the first year that any item is purchased. The manager gave me names of repair shops that might be able to fix my purse, they said they would cover it if it could be fixed and would give me full store credit for the price I paid towards a new item in store if it couldn't. Sadly my awesome black satchel was a loss, the repair shop couldn't fix the torn lining without stitching through the leather and they didn't want to ruin the outward appearance of the bag. I returned to MK Ala Moana and asked to speak to the manager, who was profusely apologetic and helped me find a new bag to replace my old one. The manager was incredibly nice and polite, even after I got all snotty and "mainlander" on her (it was inexcusably rude, but in my defense, I was really upset about the unrepairable damage to a purse that I had had and treated well for 6 mos!). All in all it was a painless experience, as long as you discount the fact I lost my original purse. But hey, like the manager said, I got 1 purse for a whole year and got a new purse for $120 (the difference in price between my new purse and my old one). The people who work at Michael Kors at Ala Moana are amazing. All of them! My favorite sales associate there though goes to Tasha! She is the just the best thing. When I walk in they offer champagne so you can drink while you shop...it's just delightful! I love their clothes...omg and the bags and the shoes and the watches and everything. Half of my closet consists of Michael by Michael Kors clothing...I do have one Michael Kors dress...cost me an arm and a leg. The store does get very busy but the SAs do try to help everyone. Some people might think they are snobby or pretentious because they don't help right away but everytime I come here they are usually swamped. I just take my glass of champagne and browse quietly. When I arrive, two nice sale associates greet me. After I tell them I come to pickup my order, they lead me another sale associate, who literally go like this, "Name?", no eye contact or whatsoever. Then I tell her my name and she just walks away. The nice lady who greets me tells me that I can sit while waiting and lead me to the area. After a few minutes, the rude sale associate brings my stuffs and say, "Sign here." She just walks away after that, no thank you or even an eye contact. I was thinking about shopping more since I see some cute purse. But here attitude makes me walk away and never go back to this store ever. The associates at the front are very friendly and have excellent customer service. But the one I encounter, assuming an associate who helps customer with their shopping, is rude and no help at all. Great store and wonderful shopping experience. The store is bright and modern with its walls adorned of the latest Michael Kors selection of hand bags and accessories. Exceptional service from the moment you walk into the store. You're greeted and made eye contact with to see if there's an immediate need. I appreciate the concern and lack of insistently approaching and immediately selling me something. I worked with a salesperson named Aki who was very attentive but gave me my space to shop and browse on my own. She was very helpful and quick in grabbing my shoes and fragrances. Upon checking out, a couple of other sales associates came by to thank me for my business and mentioned a couple of the newer lines in clothing. It was a very pleasant experience but quick as well. The only thing holding me back from 5 stars is that the selection in clothing on the smaller side. Department stores still carry a larger selection. Yesterday I decided to drag my boyfriend in here with me as I decided I needed new shoes. We have just came out of macy's and I couldn't find anything to my liking. As we walked in all the sales associates greeted us and kindly let us know that they were having a sale everything was 25% off. Awesome! But I was looking straight past the bags to the shoes! As I walked in that direction I noticed a cute short sales associate with the most adorable pairs of black studded heels on! As I got to the shoes I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted, but then that same sweet sales associate came to help me. She introduced herself as Kristin and was very nice enough to tell me about the sales and how the already marked down shoes also got an additional 25% off! Oh yes! That is a way to get my attention. My boyfriend of course was reluctant. I asked Kristin to try on a set of sandals I was looking at and she was happy to help, there wasn't any in my size sadly but she was very good at recommending something else like heels. I never would have made that choice on my own but once I tried it on I was sold. She was very nice at recommending shoes that not only looked good but also were comfortable and she even explained why investing in the shoes i was looking at was a good deal for comfort and she also said if I wasn't comfortable that they sell extra shoe padding to make it comfortable to wear... I liked that she understood my bf didn't want to spend too much money and even mentioned that for a pair of shoes originally $150 it would only cost $56... and wanted me to save! She was very funny and easy to talk to and I really look forward to shopping with her again. I'm usually an online shopper but I figured it would be better to go to the store and have my boyfriend be able to physically try on the different watches. Everyone there is extremely friendly and upbeat, which is not very common at retail stores. Carmie was very accommodating; she gave details of the individual watches and also had my boyfriend try on the different types even if he had already decided on gold. We both ended up buying watches for each other and walked out of the store happy customers. The next day, we went back to buy my parents gifts and Joseph was just as helpful as Carmie. She saw a small black MK monogram baguette that she liked and I was going to buy it for her. But I figured before I purchase it from Macy's, I should go check the Michael Kors boutique first for the same bag. I would much rather get a bag from the boutique since they supply you with a bag from the back rather than the one on the sales floor where everyone picks it up and handles it, plus you get the dust bag. Anyway, so we went to the boutique and we are greeted with a warm welcome. I took a second to browse and later met with a sales associate, I explained to him the certain bag we were looking at as detailed as I could and he brought back items that fit my description. Unfortunately, they did not have the exact one we wanted, so we went back to Macy's to purchase the one that was sitting on the sales floor . . . Although we could not get the item we wanted, I was still taken aback by the satisfactory service we received within the store; they really want you to feel welcome at this store; none of that "buy something or get out" vibe that I sometimes get from other stores. This past weekend I went crazy shopping, and it also happened to be "The Fall Fashion Event 2011" at Ala Moana, so what greater reason to go shopping at Ala Moana? I went shopping as an excuse to kill time since renovations (lots of noise) was happening at home. I kinda hesitated walking into Michael Kors just because I looked really hash and I was still wearing my work shoes from that morning. I didn't want to go into the store with preconceived notions of horrible service because of the way you look, trust me, I've received bad looks from higher-end stores before just because of what I'm wearing, haha. Also I was buying a gift for my mom, so they would probably think I'm lost going into a store for the most part is catered to women. I went in and everyone in the store was friendly and attentive. One of the girls who helped me, I believed Michelle really impressed me with her service. She was very friendly, and even chatting with me just as if I were one of her friends which was pretty funny. She noticed I had been shopping a lot due to all my shopping bags, and she said that I should sit down and "cool it down" hahaha. She even got me something to drink, and she came out with water in a champagne glass! I was totally impressed. Bottom line: don't be afraid to go into Michael Kors, although it's on mall level with the rest of all the other high-end brands, you're able to get superior service, and notable designer merchandise for a great price! read more

Shopping at Michael Kors at Ala Moana made my Day today . I had received a Michael Kors watch as a Christmas present but needed to get it sized . I wasn't sure if the Michael Kors store was able to size it so I went into the store and inquired . Kelly greeted me with lots of Aloha and friendly service . She was able to size my Michael Kors watch for me and I was so happy decided to look around the store and look at purses and wallets and look at there new Summer Merchandise . I had a lot of questions and Kelly was so patient and very knowledgeable in all the merchandise at the Store . I was very impressed at the Excellent Customer service provided by Kelly and her fellow Associates at the Michael Kors Store I will certainly recommend my friends and family to visit the Store . Went into Michael kors alas to get my watch fitted. The male workers were not welcoming and did not acknowledged us, so we helped ourselves to the register. Only to stand their for a minute then they noticed us. The woman who assisted me told me to come back in an half hour but failed to take down my number and wrote it wrong. Lucky my aunty caught her faux pas and remindered her to take down my number. Its just precautions in case they do not return my watch. After the half hour wait I return to the Michael kors store and walked directly to the front. Once again no one notices me until this female Korean worker wearing a long black dress eyed me out from head to toe and said rudely , "how may I help you". And I replied in the same manner , " I'm here for my watch" with my receipt in my hand. The Korean woman snatched it from my hand and told her other coworker to help me. The workers here I can confidently say are rude and unwelcoming, I will not return or recommend my peers to shop here. Macy's has the same bags and watches with better customer service. read more

I've been in this store only a handful of times but I've had pleasant experiences each visit. This latest visit was at around 3 am on Black Friday. The store wasn't busy at the time (I heard the crowd at the mall was on Thanksgiving night when the stores first opened). As soon as we walked in, a male employee greeted us happily and was willing to help and answer any questions we had. In fact, all of the staff were helpful and sweet even though it was really early in the morning. They even offered small bottles of water to help with the shopping marathon. AMAZING customer service and cute and stylish accessories! As soon as we walked in to Michael Kors, we were greeted by every associate in the store. It came off as genuine, and not like they were forced to do it (though I'm sure it's a part of their training). We were immediately offered champagne, and asked if we were looking for anything in particular. As a matter of fact, I was! I was looking for a men's watch for my then boyfriend's birthday. The selection was great - lots to choose from, whether it be sporty and avant garde or sleek and classic. I ended up purchasing a watch that is versatile and is somewhat sporty but would look just as nice paired with a blazer. The manager was also so accommodating. I was worried that my boyfriend may not like the watch (I'd never seen him wear a watch before), but since he was on a deployment, he wouldn't be able to return it in the 30 days. The manager expressed how grateful he was for the military servicemen and all they do, and asked when my boyfriend was coming back (it was another month away). He signed the receipt and said that he would make an exception for me. Talk about going above and beyond for your customers. I believe his name was Michael. Regardless, everyone at that store was so friendly and it was such a positive experience. Have gone back afterwards and had the same quality service. read more

walked into the Alamoana location wanting to return a item that i bought for my daughter that she didn't want.. as soon as i stated i wanted to return something i could tell by the look on the sales person face that she wasn't happy... she looked at my receipt and so oh its past 30 days sorry no can... i bought this on 5/6 and today is 6/15 so 9 days past due and they couldn't even make a exception for me... it was not even touched or taken out of the package since we bought it.. i felt they could have made an exception.. poor service read more

I read the reviews prior to visiting this store, with all the great reviews on customer service I thought that it wouldn't be any trouble to come in and have a few links removed from my michael kors watch. I called before coming in and the lady was quite rude over the phone, later that day I went to the store and surprise surprise it was the same bitter lady who talked to me earlier. There was only two other customers in the store and she made it as if it was so busy she couldn't even deal with my watch. When she took it out to see how many links had to be removed she was careless and let the watch drop on the glass case not once but twice, I wouldn't be so anal but this is how one of the watch hands fell off!! When she finally took my watch behind the counter she made me write down my contact information and just left me there!! There was another employee who came out and she seemed really sweet and kind. It was just this lady!! She made me feel as if I wasn't worth her time because I was only getting links removed and not purchasing a handbag! It aggravates me to have employees like this help me, they are so judgmental. Just because you work for a high class company doesn't make you high class. I expected a middle aged woman such as herself to be more mature about the situation.
