Whenever I'm in Kahala Mall I just can't help myself to peek in to see what they have as I do love their accessories selections I just think their shop is so cute as it gives such a relaxing vibe making browsing here so much fun. The shop is on the smaller size they do pack it all in perfectly along with cute and comfy clothing it's all about the bling, rings and jewelry as I'm always looking for something unique I've found items here that's not just that but affordable as well. The staff here is nice with a simple greet while I browse and if I'm looking for something in particular it's never a problem to have the answer. Very disappointed with this store. I walked in with my wife and was ignored the whole time I was at the store. We are light skinned Asians so the clerks must've thought we were tourists but that shouldn't make you judge and ignore your customers. Their items looked very well made and stylish but it's disappointing that they would ignore us and just fold clothing and chat amongst themselves... Oh those stores that put the clearance/sale rack right at the entrance! And with a 20-70% off sign too! It gets you! Getting deals is the best, and now it gets my wife too. Every time we go to Kahala Mall and pass by Mahina, she can't help to take a look. This boutique store is located near Longs, Macy's, and Simply Organized. It's very clean, bright, and organized. The staff are friendly and attentive. While I'm usually standing and waiting, I'm usually offered to sit on the big, rattan chair. The style here definitely feels casual, relaxed, and...beach-y. Mahina was the very first stop on the Black Friday sale because their deal was 20% additional off already marked down items. Initially, I thought it was just an extra 20% off after the original markdown, but it was 20% combined with the discount, so 70% will be 90% off! Wow! We didn't find anything like that, but adding that 20% in that form is already an amazing deal. Overall, a nice boutique store. The staff is friendly and nice. I do feel it's hit or miss with service when dealing with teenagers and young adults working at these stores, but luckily, the ones at Mahina are hits. read more

I've only gone shopping twice at Mahina. Once I was looking for a white dress specifically for an event. Just so happens when I went they had a handful! I got so lucky and ended up getting a dress! The second time I went I was just browsing and ended up getting a shirt and a blouse. Each time I went in the young workers were nice and helpful! They pulled items for me and gave me suggestions! It was like shopping with your friends! I really appreciated their pure honesty when telling me how it looked when I tried items on. The store itself is a little beachy, boho if that's what you are looking for. Many of their colors are light and neutral for the most part, but I did purchase a navy blue blouse from there. Went to Mahina's in Kailua yesterday and decided to check the Kahala location today. Didn't find anything on the sale rack, but found a comfy romper that was less casual than the romper I bought in Kailua. I did get a kamaaina discount which made me feel little better it wasn't on sale. The customer service was great and the staff was helpful. Super bummed and disappointed! My daughters and I just love Mahinas and normally the workers at Mahinas are sooo welcoming and friendly. We had some time to kill before dinner at CPK so we decided to check out Mahinas it was about 720pm as we walked in and there was nobody in the front so we checked closing time at it said 8pm , than I see the worker already sweeping the floor and she didn't even look at us and saw hello just kept on the cleaning. So we felt uncomfortable and unwelcome! You could have made a sale! But no worries we got the hint and left!!! I'll still shop at Mahinas but at another location! Was on-the-fence about a kaftan, cute but pricey and similar to others I have. Asked a sales associate about their return policy before I bought it, and was told that I had 14 days to return for full price and after that time passed I could only exchange or get store credit. Because of that I felt okay buying it. A few days a later I decided to return it because of said price and similarity. When I went back to the store, I was told by another associate that I can't return the item for full price even though it's been less than a week. Apparently, their actual return policy is you have 14 days to exchange or return for store credit, no full returns. The associate sassily pointed out to me that their return policy was on their receipt. However, if I need to purchase an item to know or clarify their return policy, that defeats the entire point. You want to know the return policy BEFORE you purchase the item. Which is exactly the reason why I asked. Had I known that I could only exchange or return for store credit, I wouldn't have bought the item at all. I gave them two-stars instead of one-star because they eventually, and begrudgingly, gave me a full return for my item. Although it didn't come without snippy attitude from the associate doing the return. As someone who used to love working retail, I acknowledge that it's difficult and infuriating a significant amount of the time. But be more clear and upfront about your return policy. If they had been more clear and upfront about their return policy, I could have avoided the most disappointing retail experience of my life. read more

Great customer service! Came in looking for their everywhere cardie, the saleswoman promptly pulled out one of every color in my size (even from the stock that just came in!) Friendly sales associates, cute clothes, and reasonable prices. Love that they offer a Kama'aina discount as well. FYI: Everywhere cardie is of awesome quality. The best thing about Kahala Mall is that it carries super chic local boutiques, unlike Ala Moana. My favorite store is Mahina! I love that the clothes are really great quality (like SO SOFT) and not at bad price ranges for that quality. The color theme is super on point (I really dig soft pastel and earthy colors!) I love getting my ocean themed earrings too. My best experience was when I came in last week and Jolie helped me through the store to look for matching two-pieces. She actually talked with me and we had a really nice conversation. She was so genuinely kind and down to earth. She made me feel comfortable to be in the store and shop at ease!
