One was a fun pet supply emporium, The Public Pet (review: https://yelp.to/XXvGoRe97Q), and this was the other store. There were plenty of things to browse. Clothing and accessories appeared to dominate the main hallway, while housewares, handbag, and fabrics were presented in the back area. There were unique items like colorful hair clips, duck-head umbrellas, and tins of mackerel filets. We were wandering about International Market Place (IMP) for the Chinese New Year (January 25,…read more2020) when we stumbled across this new location for Noa Noa Hawai'i. Located at street level in IMP's Queen's Court, you can't miss this store from its authentic batik apparel and South Pacific artifacts. Walking into this store, I was drawn to some of the Polynesian tapa prints and Southeast Asian looking patterns. Also, you should know that EACH item is unique or one-of-a-kind as there aren't racks of different sizes in the same color combination(s) or style to choose from. The saleswoman told me that each item is authentic Balinese batik. The batik patterns and styles are made in Indonesia. The hand batiked garments are made of natural fabrics (cottons, rayons, silks and linens). Along with apparel, you can accessorize with artisan jewelry or shoulder bags. Because I was visiting the IMP with family, I chose not to try on a couple of dresses that had attracted my eyes. But, I'll be back soon!

They quickly looked them over and told me which items they would accept for consignment. While there , I noticed a collection of vintage and costume jewelry. Told them I had a collection at home to bring back. They took my jewelry. Explained they'd keep my items for 3 months and return any unsold items at end of period. It hasn't been a full 3 months but I stopped by to check on status of my sales They gave me a nice check for items sold to date. Was pleased with the progress will collect my unsold items in April and supply them with new items to be consigned.

I was in Kahala Mall and decided to pick up a gift card for her for her birthday. I was greeted by both clerks. The store is filled with colorful Hawaiian prints. The prints are designed in-house. The jersey fabrics are wonderfully soft and wash easily. Most of the clothes are made locally in Chinatown (Honolulu). The clothes are expensive, but wear well and are timeless. The clerk quickly fulfilled my gift card order and then packaged in a little leather pouch. She gave me information of how to order gift cards from the Mainland. She was super helpful.

An organization I am a part of needed matching dresses and hawaiian shirts. We chose the style and material. Everyone just needed to get measured. We got put outfits and I was so happy with the the design. It even had pockets! For a custom made dress it was definitely worth the value. The seamstress has to cut the material then sew and the quality check. That is like 5 to 8 hours of work! I spent extra for pockets, so it was under $195. Ya we could have gone to Macys and picked matching dresses, but honestly the quality and design here will last longer. We have worn our dresses multiple times and have come back for more custom work for years. Overall I love the service and the selection. But most of all, I love that they can do custom designs :)

I went inside Aloha Flowers to take a look. Service was very friendly and helpful. The worker said that the fabric was an exclusive Japan towel material... thin and durable. Expressing Aloha,…read more This little boutique I happened upon as I strolled around while I was waiting for my order at the newbie Onigiri Onibe~ on Alakea and finding out that they were made to order it did take a few minutes longer than I expected and decided to visit the neighboring biz. This cute shop which you would easily miss is in "The Arcade" building and as I approached and glance at some of the items displayed in the window it was unusually different as the art was our local flowers with many items from shirts, candles and stickers to household items. The gentleman in the shop says that it's his friend that designs it all and many of the merchandise are made in Japan and shipped here with exceptions of a few products that are made here in Hawaii I just love how each items are crafted and couldn't resist to support the art and picked up a couple of post cards which was just a buck a card at $5 and a bucket hat that had a cute plumeria embroidered on it :) He couldn't be more happy that I enjoyed it all and put my purchases in a lovely reusable tote and even gave me a free gift that was very generous of him to do so shows the love and kindness of what art and the appreciation to express it was just so meaningful.
