No because why did I have a terrible experience here? We were running a quick errand at Target and I decided I wanted to stop in to see if they had any cute sets I could wear to the beach. I enter the well air conditioned store and absolutely nobody greeted me. There were two women at the registers gabbing with each other and two more in the dressing room who were also talking. I could not find my size and struggled but yet nobody helped. Finally got my sizes and went to try on, the women at the dressing room still didn't greet me. Just asked how many pieces I had. Then made me hand over the garments to which she unceremoniously tossed on the stool. It made me think she just wanted to make sure I wasn't holding any other pieces. Asked my name but didn't give me hers. Then as I was coming out I was chatting with another customer about the set I was holding which I liked but was slightly too boxy for me. The two women at the dressing room saw her and helped take her garments but decided to ignore me, so I awkwardly stood there trying to give my garments back. I literally had to force shove it at one of them to get them to even do anything. Terrible customer service. They were absolutely not inclined to help me which was ridiculous. I am absolutely confident they profile at this store. I guarantee they thought I was local. They were only talking to the haole customers. I was wearing my errand clothes so maybe I was dressed too casual for them? Hilarious but it leaves a bad taste in my mouth to support this store. Two stars because their selection is ok. read more

Fa la la la laaaaa... The phases they go through is as if going through chapters of the moments is what I feel every time I step into the store. As Halloween are just days away it's no surprise to see some winter vibe exploding every nook and cranny with everything from A to Z...literally! Nice to get that early start to some home and kitchen supplies for the holidays with super cute decor even a gift shop corner I was taken for surprise of their Christmas ornaments...super cute and shiny the fun selections has me giggling and laughing already just mindfully thinking of each represents various friends. Finding my initials "I" is unusual it was fun and nice to see all the unique items not found elsewhere and the prices are so reasonable making some early gift/wants shopping cheerful and bright. I can never seem to find anything in the store. However, there's a lot of on trend items that are cute but just not for me. The prices are quite outrageous for very basic items. Note, if you are in a wheelchair or brining in a stroller throughout the store many of the aisles are quite tight so keep that in mind. If you go in their sales section in the back, there's no way for a wheelchair to fit back there. Not an ADA accessible store due to the smaller aisles. Staff always seems friendly and happy to help. Wish I had more luck with the store. read more

Would've liked to give zero stars, but you know the deal. Went in yesterday to get an initial bag charm for a birthday gift that the website said was in stock at the store. Couldn't find it, so I went looking for a sales associate. The few I did see were socializing amongst each other. I found an older male, (dark hair with a goatee,) and asked him if he knew where I could find what I was looking for. He said he'd go check in the back. A few minutes later, he comes out and says there's so many boxes and he can't find it. I proceed to point out that it's available for order pickup, and he says they probably have it but it hasn't been unpacked yet, and if I do order pickup they'll probably cancel it. Basically, all I got was he's lazy and doesn't want to do his literal job. Decided to try the order pickup on my phone as I was walking out, because I still need the bag charm. Lo and behold I get the confirmation email the next morning that it's ready for pickup. Now I have to drive back there from Aiea, because of that stupid man! I'm so irritated because I used to love this store, but I'll probably never shop here again. What a waste of time and gas! read more

I just came by to get a candle and though the selection could be better, I did find the scent I was looking for. The customer service was on point and very attentive which I appreciate. I sheepishly asked if I could come back the next day to exchange coats, and they helped make it happen! They even held the coat for me and made a note to make sure there would be no issues if I got a different staff member the following day. I had such a great experience at this store today! It's beautiful, the selection is amazing, and the staff is so sweet. Brook Lynne helped me in the fitting room--she was kind, patient, and super helpful, grabbing sizes, offering suggestions, and making sure I felt confident in everything I tried on. I came in for one top and walked out with a full bag! Natalie checked me out and was just as lovely. Even with a busy store, they never made me feel rushed. Ala Moana Mall re opened yesterday on 5/15. I was so excited!! My favorite store Anthropologie was opened too. I went there, there was pretty long line, I got ticket and waited for about 20 min. There were 40-50% off on Sale. Staffs were very friendly. I found a few pieces of Outwear, Skirts and Pants. The fitting room was closed I couldn't try on Skirts and pants. One of my favorite stores to go to. I really like the French country atmosphere. This high end store sells personal items such as soap, books, furniture, and of course, beautiful clothing. Every time I come here, I go directly to the sales racks. The clothing can cost a pretty penny. That tends to be the downside. However, go through the sales racks and you can find something worth buying. I like buying pants, and tops from the sales area. If there were more sales, I will buy more dresses. The dresses look beautiful and tailored for fit. Believe it or not, I found the dressing rooms elegant. The associates were attentive and made sure if that dress or top did not fit they will try to find another size. I do like how the associate wrote my name on the little mirror on the front door in the dressing room. This creates a personalized shopping experience for the customer. I'm absolutely in a phase where I love everything and anything Anthropologie designs and carry. I'm glad I was able to visit the store and see a sample of their pieces in person. Specifically the Maeve line is gorgeous!! The pieces are incredibly feminine and comfortable. They also have the most beautiful prints perfect for living on island. Although this isn't the largest with the mostest store I've ever been to, this place has an impressive sale section. Don't bother correlating online, prices at this store is seriously ridiculously good. They have items that aren't shown online. I found 6 items that are on sale at $9.95 from the upper $100 range. They mix it up when it comes to summer time clothing and winter clothing. I found sweaters, pants and tops that look super cute and didn't hurt the least bit of my wallet. At the end, I carried this gigantic bag out looking like a million dollars and all I spent was roughly $40. Highly recommend stopping by, the staff boast they are constantly adding to their sale section :D read more

This store is always so nice and tidy and always has a beautiful (but expensive) array of clothes, accessories, and home & beauty goods. After the second lockdown, we stopped by the store just to check if they still had the dried flowers I'd been eyeing for months. I'd gotten my hands on those dried flowers which were on sale, plus they had a student discount on top of that - score! There were only three workers - one associate greeting customers in the front, and two cashiers - which made it a little difficult if you need any help looking for items. The cashiers made sure to wipe down the area after each customer finished, no matter how long the line was which was very reassuring. read more

So excited to find Anthropologie here in Ala Moana as it is one of my favorite stores! On the third floor, it is quite spacious with a large selection of clearance items and a decent sized petite section - they even had their own clearance area. Happened to be here during at 50% off clearance sale (score!) and found a couple of things. The customer service was attentive and helpful, probably more so than what I experience back home on the mainland. Large homewares selection as well. read more

Walked in today and we were greeted instantly with smiles and a big welcome! One of the gals even told us about the specials and the new items that just landed. Christmas goods were just being put on the floor and I couldn't resist some of them. My daughter and I bought a lot of gifts from planners to nail polish to notepads to post it notes. Together, we spent over $300! I told my daughter that I need to go in line steady because my basket was so full! The service was top notch and I just love the ambiance of this store. read more

Staff is very nice and excited to be here which is evidenced by their excellent customer service. The store is beautiful and much attention has been paid to detail and accommodating the waiting husbands. Lots of comfortable seating, lots if dressing rooms have been provided to make shopping fun for all. The SALE corner is here too. For those of us that shop online, you don't have to hesitate to buy things. Since we now have our own store, exchanges and returns will be s breeze...just know that now we gave our own Anthropologie in Hawaii, we will have to pay sales tax for things shooed here...still a small price to pay for having this great store here! read more

So imagine going to a McDonalds knowing what you're going to order - you know the food quality and you know exactly how much that food is going to cost you. Once you get there you aren't greeted with a smile nor a thank you for your purchase. You leave feeling indifferent because of the lack of customer service but you still love the food. Do you go back? Do you shop someplace else? Or do you boycott all Mcdonalds all together? The above scenario sums up my latest experience at Anthropologie. I love the brand and the products but I dislike the customer service at this location. Shameful really since a store's reputation for quality products will only stand on its own for so long before a lack of decent customer service drives away loyal customers. I just don't know why it is so difficult to give good customer service (sigh). No greeting nor an offer for assistance. No thank you just a slam, bam and shut the door behind you feel at this location. I came here on a weekday morning to pick up items I had called about earlier in the week only to find that the products that they said were there were no longer available and have been sold out for quite a while now. I made a special trip out just to pick these items out and I was extremely perturbed and bothered knowing that the person who told me that those items were in the store were in fact, sold out for a while now. Which leads me to believe - either the salesperson on the floor does not know the Anthropologie products or basically flat out lied to me. I specifically named the items by name (Attingham Mug in blue as well as a few others) and was told, "yes, we have that in stock today and I can gladly hold one for you." Forget the fact that of the three items that I specifically asked for only one of them was in the store. Upon arriving, no greeting or offer for assistance (even after walking around with an armful of breakable items - and yea no, the shopping basket they offer for shopping would not have worked for those breakable items). There is an air of arrogance at this location that is reminiscent of some high end, luxury boutiques which I find laughable since this is Anthropologie. Because I do love the Anthropologie products I will continue shopping the brand but unfortunately will not be making any special trips out to Ala Moana - all my shopping will be done online and/or when I go the mainland. Furthermore, the store continues to be sold out of many things and there doesn't appear to be as much variety and stock in comparison to the mainland locations (maybe because it's Hawaii). I'm still very bothered since I made a special trip out to town and into the mall (anyone that knows me KNOWS that I detest going to the mall - especially now with all the construction - roads and mall) only to find that that those items I called about have been sold out for months already!! Fortunately Anthropologie products sell themselves but can you imagine if you combine that WITH great customer service? This would easily be a 5 star review if that combination existed but in reality, I've experienced much, much better at other Anthropologie locations. read more

Yesterday, my friend and I went shopping at Anthropologie and had great customer service. I was looking for something in particular and found something like it on my own. I like to peruse the shop leisurely. I asked the sales associate on hand if they had two things in particular and she mentioned right away what they had in the product that I wanted. So, I got my second choice of the Volcano fragrance and the mug with the initial S on it. My friend also noticed that they had a promotion going on for educators and we were happy to participate in that. As my friend and I stood in line, the sales associate at the cashier area was so enthusiastic and helpful also. She said that I could order what I really wanted online, and the shipping would be waived. She helped my friend and I go through the online process and we should be getting our orders soon. I was so happy I could get the Volcano fragrance in the spray as well as the mug with the initial D sent to me. My friend also got a blouse that will be sent to her in a size that she wanted. This sales associate who was working at the register and who just graduated from UH demonstrated great customer service with a smile. As I was leaving, I asked the first sales associate where the nearest restroom was and she readily said that they had one in the shop for me to use. This sales associate also demonstrated great customer service with a smile. I will indeed visit Anthropologie again. Just an update: The Volcano fragrance room spray that I ordered online couldn't be shipped to an address out of the Continental U.S. according to the sales representative on the mainland. Aww, I guess I will need to have the store order it for me and shipped to Anthropologie or go to the mainland to get that spray. Another update: I called back the representative at the 800 number and she said according to their contract UPS cannot deliver that spray at all to the Honolulu store. That being said I'm going to the mainland soon and will get it there. read more

This store is great! Cool products from home and candles, to bedding and textiles, beauty and skin, to stationary and jewelry; not to mention the full selection of apparel that comes in standard sizes as well as petites! (that's me!) Clothing is expensive, but the sales here are great! There is constantly a sale section that goes on sale itself, sometimes as much as 40% off! The associates are nice and also genuine, offering their help and honest opinion. They try to remember the names of return clientele, and assist with styling needs. All the art in the store I hand-made by the in-house art team, and sometimes even the associates. It is available for purchase but Anthropologie donates the amount to a charity through the philanthropy department. This place is great for an elevated one stop shopping that combines the elegance of high-end retail with a department store to bring you collections that inspire your life. I'm a fan. read more

I love all things Anthropologie. Though I'm a plus size and they don't have any clothing that will fit me, I still love the store for all of it's accessories, skin care, houseware, and jewelry. The intoxicating smell of the candles as you walk in is like shopping crack, "give me all the things noooww!" is how I feel when I go in there. The clothes are so cute, I wish they had them in larger sizes but that's the fashion industry, most of it not inclusive but I don't blame the store. I'm just jealous, LOL. The housewares are beautiful, so beautiful, if I had a fancy house, I would have all the beautiful fancy things. If you're looking for a gift for a wife, sister, mother, female of any kind, go here. LOVE LOVE LOVE this store!!! I first fell in love with Anthropologie in Los Angeles. Many of the items I purchased from here tended to get tons of compliments! I was super excited to discover they were opening one up at Ala Moana and learned about their petite section. Once I entered the store, I saw some cute tops that were fairly long and wondered if they were dresses in the petite size. The sales rep in the front seemed a bit arrogant and said "they're tunics". When I explained i thought it might have been a dress since I knew they had a petite section, she explained the petite section was in the back. Her whole demeanor was unfriendly and standoffish. She certainly killed my happy buzz =( Luckily I found the petite section and was welcomed by a genuinely friendly, older sales rep. She helped me look for a few items in the petite section to no avail. It would've been nice to see an article of clothing you liked in the regular section and the smaller version in the petite. It's a tease when there's a tag that says it's available in petite but it's not in the store. I also found the sale section which had a small selection. I'm shocked that there was a sale section since the store just opened. I found a simple, elegant navy blue silk top in the sale section for less than $40! There were plenty of them...hurry and get 'em! The dressing room area was large and inviting. The girls back there were very kind and helpful! Their insight and suggestions helped me decide which ones to keep. Near the cash registers, was a nicely laid out home decor area. Oh gosh I love their knobs!!!! I got three coat hangers and one knob that I'll use as a coat hanger. What a great way to dress up any dresser! Lauren, who helped me check out was awesome! She was super friendly and helpful! I LOVE anthropologie--which is why I'm so excited that they finally opened up a store in Hawaii. It's definitely on the pricier side, but once you see how cute their clothes are you'll find it hard to resist spending. In addition to clothing, the store is filled with goodies like home decorations, soy candles, organic perfume, and monogrammed mugs. I could spend hours and hours in anthroplogie just browsing for home deco inspiration/ideas. My only complaint about this anthropolgie is the space of the store is quite a bit smaller than what I am used to. I'm not sure if the "room" layout of the store just makes it seem small to me...but one thing for sure is that the selection is definitely smaller than what I am used to from mainland anthropologie stores. For example, there aren't as many books and large displays to see. Shopping feels a bit cramped than what I am accustomed to at the Anthropologie I used to frequent when I lived on the mainland. But alas, I guess it's Hawaii and space is limited. Overall though, I'm very pleased that we finally have an Anthropologie store! read more

Anthropologie - Upstairs third level, across Levi's store - Women's Clothing Near Me - Honolulu, Hawaii

Anthropologie at Ala Moana is very high end but unique in that the average person feels like they can browse and even at their leisure. The goods are pricy but the employees are not tense like other luxury brand store employees are, nor do they trail you or talk you up. In fact no one greeted me today during my time there and that is exactly how I would have it. When employees do greet me though I have a nice feeling about it. Not all greetings are the same. Go to Anthropologie and then go to Bloomingdales--you will feel a veryyyyy different vibe there. Because of the relative comfort of browsing (you do know to be careful with the goods) there is usually a steady stream of customers at Anthropologie (unlike Bloomingdales!!). Many do head straight to the sale section the in the back room section. There is sometimes a very good 40% of sale item promotion going on which makes some of the items even affordable--$6 cups, $15 candles, nicely made $50 purses which were normally a lot more. I don't know when these extra sales go on but the Anthropologie newsletter is very exhaustive and should be able to tell you. Probably the best time to take advantage of Anthropologie sales is after Christmas when many of their cute decorations go on sale. Anthropologie dressing rooms are very beautiful and comfortable and the dressing room people are attentive. Really these descriptions go for the whole store which has a flourishing boutique feel with a lot of green flowering things and lights and that cozy candle smell. Plus, Anthropologie has epic tunes and you will probably use your Shazam app more than once. I think the Anthropologie business model is that each store is actually run like a boutique, so there might be some differences between the inventory at each shop. The Anthropologie at Ala Moana is vastly superior to the Anthropologie at International Marketplace--I mean in terms of the beauty of the shop and the extensiveness of the different mini departments within Anthropologie: petite, home wares, cosmetics, etc. Also the staff is a little friendlier at Anthropologie Ala Moana in general. If you have never been to an Anthropologie and want to, I would definitely recommend the Ala Moana location. But on the other hand if International Marketplace has less traffic (which I think is the case), then the International Marketplace location may have sale items that are not in stock at the Ala Moana location--hypothetically! If you like Anthropologie at Ala Moana then you will probably like Cinnamon Girl at either Ala Moana or Kahala Mall, Sand People at Ala Moana or Waikiki, The Refinery at Kahala Mall (not Ala Moana), and then also Whole Foods at Kahala Mall (not Ward) which is pretty much Anthropologie if it were a health foods store (pricy but gorgeous and superior staff). read more

A favorite boutique. Although it is a mainland chain, I love the selection and ambiance. It's such a fragrant and fun store to shop it. While they may have a supply of sizes. You don't see rows and row of it. Stores turn me off when I imagine many others will coincidently wear the same outfit at the same event. It's still a conversation piece when others can tell and have to ask where you purchased your outfit- rather than "That must be from _____.l because it looks like mass manufacturing." I know many many other love anthropologie because the pieces don't sit on the rack for long. Hurry down for the best selection and sorry, but you'll have to check often. LOL! read more

But this is second time when I called to confirm my online order which is taking too long for no updates with very unclear way of showing triple pending(hold) charges on my credit card. I really appreciate if these phone people are more kind or nicer. First of all, I'm calling because I don't get any updates or any notifications from the store for almost a month. That's why I'm calling. I actually emailed couple days ago and no response...hahaha the lady on the phone talks like machine with no tone not nice greeting even I'm very polite and be gentle talking to her and telling me she will updates my status of order by email so I will get information about it within 48hours. And the hold pending charges (3 times same price) are normal for process she said!!! Is this true?? I work retail and I never heard this. I thought it is strange that's why I called, but she told me like it is normal and I should know...!! I understand the situation we have now, but it doesn't mean we provide bad cold customer care. We all should be kind and nice to each other so we accelerate positive happiness. read more

I've always loved the clothes and home furnishings at Anthro, but their strong point has never been customer service. From Las Vegas to Seattle, San Diego, LA, the service at their stores has almost been non-existent. This review is based on their service or LACK OF. I entered the store this past Monday and passed by an associate - not even a hello or welcome. They act as if they are working at Chanel or Prada. Very snotty. I browsed the store, passed another associate in the petite section and again, not even a hello or how are you? Rude. I then found 5 glasses that I loved and picked it up. I also loved their o&v cruet. I now had 7 items in my hands and not one associate approached me to hold my items at the counter or even acknowledge my existence. I almost put everything back, but decided to just go ahead and get the items. I made my way to the counter and of course, there was a line to pay. If you notice, there is always a line. The store was not too busy, except for 2 people in line to pay, but I find it amazing that the service is SO POOR. The gal who rang me up was not very friendly - very transactional and she seemed overwhelmed at having to wrap everything up in paper. She asked another associate for help. I have to say the associate who came to help her was much friendlier. Anthro needs to train their associates on how to assist the customer and make them feel valued. My bed furnishing is adorn by Anthropologie, my kitchen has Anthropologie and I love their clothes , even though their prices are higher price isn't an issue for me but quality and the customer service shopping experience is essential. The store has big dressing rooms and everyone here is very friendly. Store associates always ask if you need help and the store is neat most of the time except during sales lol. They have really cute stuff here -- stationery, clothes and Home essentials. I took one star off because they're severely under staffed -- there's not more than two people at the register at the time and the lines get really long sometimes. Also they're slow at doing returns -- I once spent AN HOUR at the register doing returns, not including the wait time of 10mins for other people before me. I'm neither joking nor exaggerating. One hour of my life. I expected it due to my previous experiences here so I was patient but seriously one hour is the longest time ever! read more

Urban Outfitter and now Anthropologie in Hawaii...all within a two-month span! URBN INC, the company that owns both brands, has got the fashion enthusiasts of Oahu hyped. Anthroplogie offers a gorgeous mix of clothing, accessories, gift, and home decor under one roof. It's hard describe their store scent but it's definitely fresh and very inviting. I love that there's a "room" designated to petites! Clothing in the general area that also comes in petite sizes will have a cute little tag telling you so. It'll no doubt be very popular with the Asian tourists. And to my surprise, they already have a sale section in the back. Anthropologie's audience is more mature than UO's. Price points are much higher. A dress can retail from $80 to almost $500. Jeans average $100 per pair. We're looking at brands Orla Kiely, Bordeaux, Nanette Lepore, 7 for All Mankind, and Baggu. You shop here looking for quality over quantity. Expect to get most of your clothing here dry cleaned or washed on "delicate" mode. There's a small selection of bath and body items. Lollia hand creams and Voluspa candles! It was a long shopping day so I took a break on their comfy wicker chairs...which are also for sale at their store! The sales associates are so friendly. Only this shop just opened, I've already been quite a few times. First, on opening night, I was greeted by an employee that used to work at another store. Not only did she remember my name after over a year (amazing), she was just as sweet and caring; I've had a wonderful experience with each of their employees since and think they've done a great job in hiring the right staff. After multiple trips to the shop and only buying candles, I finally bought a pair of (perfect) shorts and oh-so-comply sleeveless tees. Nothing special, but I felt like I bought quality pieces worth the price. Plus, I find they are always rotating and adding just a few new pieces here and there, so there's always something new to discover. Finally, my experience in the fitting rooms has always been great. The only thing that bugs me are the unfinished floors. Once I visited in my tennis shoes, and when I took them off to try on a skirt, I caught a bunch of splinters in my socks and had to throw them away. I'm all for reclaimed wood, but I like my soft, splinter-less feet better. read more
