I've been to this T.J.Maxx location about three times since moving to Honolulu. Each time the people at the register have been super nice and accommodating. Great selection of home items. Came in to purchase some home items for our new home. Bought two beautiful queen size bed sheet sets. I have to say the price was really good for top quality sheets! Clothing section isn't bad but it's not huge like other T.J.Maxx locations I've been too on the mainland. They do have a nice dog/cat section with treats, beds, and toys. Haven't been to the Pearl city location yet but so far this location has basic items and great finds! read more

Everyone was so pleasant and helpful tonight in the store, and this is within the last hour before closing! Found the last part of an angel tree gift for a child, which matched the other items on the wish list! Found clearance baby gifts which are great little additions for the next new arrival! Ok, I admit... I also found something for my own future travels. And, I helped a visitor think through her dress selections for a wedding she's going to tomorrow. I think she made great choices;)! She was so happy, she greeted me goodbye at the cashier station. I hope she has a great time tomorrow! (She was worried, her in laws will be there as well....) First time to the T.J Maxx located Auahi St right next door to the Nordstrom Rack. Very clean and spacious aisle although it looks like a big store downstairs but it's only 1 floor entrance on the 3rd floor. Everyone is friendly and customer service oriented. There were 2 workers said good morning also if I needed help with something that was pretty impressive . Other departments stores I experience not even a peep LOL. Ok listen - I am from LA and have grown up going to TJ Maxx my entire life. This is hands down the BEST TJ Maxx location that I have ever been to. I would even venture to say it's better than the Nordstrom Rack next door. The selection is wide, and I mean WIDE. I found everything I needed here from pet supplies (training pads, beds, lick mats, shampoos, eye/ear wipes), home goods (kitchen, bath, bedding), beauty (skincare, haircare, bath), and clothing (bralettes, house slippers, socks) from amazing brands at a fraction of the price. It honestly sounds like an ad, but I actually found myself thinking this every time I found another amazing product. I was told that they receive and unload trucks multiple times a week, meaning that incredible products are always going on sale/clearance to make room for new inventory. I can confirm that the stock can even change from day to day with new deals. And the cherry on top is that the staff is just incredibly kind, helpful, and accommodating. I found myself returning a lot of things that I bought outside of TJ Maxx to be replaced by what I bought here. It's a location I will be visiting again and again! Thank you so much! read more

I was killin' a little time at the South Shore Marketplace, so I decided to pop into T.J. Maxx to see if I could find some DEALAGES Yo! Whenever I step into T.J. Maxx, if I'm not looking for anything in particular, I like to browse through the discounted racks to see what kine DEALAGES get. Today, while looking through the personal items rack, I was able to score some A-Shirts for my pops, and I found some a set of "The Simpsons" socks for myself! I can't believe the DEALAGES I scored today, as I got (4) A-Shirts for $9.00 bucks, and (6) pairs of socks for $6.00 bucks! Can we say DEALAGES Yo??? Besides clothing & personal items, I like to check out the coffee section, as well as the cookware/household section. They have an incredible pet section, but I avoid browsing that area (for now). It's been a while since I shopped at TJ Maxx. More recently I have been going to Ross, until a friend of mine reminded me of TJ Maxx. I checked out this location in Ward Village. It's a relatively newer store that was very clean with ample free parking. I was surprised at the quality of the goods that was in the store. Definitely seems to be better quality than that at Ross dress for less. They also had some designer clothes and designer women's handbags. Really good selection of home decor for decorating, holiday decorations, and nice fleece blankets. I found some great deals! Will be back!! read more

I went into the store on Friday evening Jan 30th to return an item. I was told that part of my return had to go on a gift card. I simply asked if I could get cash instead. The clerk (sorry, didn't get names) went to check with a gentleman, who I am guessing is some sort of manager. He returned with the woman and said to me, "we don't return money willy nilly like that. Highly unprofessional and rude! The clerk apologized after he walked away. Very gracious of her considering the circumstance. I will definitely continue to shop at TJ Maxx as I like the store. This Ward location is just so convenient with the building placed right in the South Shore Market parking structure the third floor level will take you directly to the storefront. The open concept layout has me confused where to begin as there's just so much to see but I do tend to head towards the area besides the cash wrap where there's current holiday/event items then there's more to back of the store. There's so much fun and interesting decor here one I couldn't imagine I'd find anywhere else. I never know what I'll find my current favorite was a pair of Nike shoes for $30 browsing around with Nadine C I ended up using a shopping cart as my finds stared to build though all was a great. I wanted to shop at T.J. Maxx because I had a store credit and I was itching to shop at somewhere exotic. Not knowing my way around because I'm from the mainland. I happened to find South Shore Market after walked from waterfront on a rainy afternoon. I needed to catch a dry break. So, I walked up through the parking garage. The slogan caught my attention "T.J. Maxxinista" at the door and the sign behind cash registers. Neat little store up on 3rd floor. Yeah, I walked up there. I just wish there was umbrella bags. I don't want my wet umbrella drip everywhere. I like this store better than any TJ Maxx stores that I've been to. It has full of stuff. So easy to find bargains and employees were friendly and helpful. Because Hawaii's sales tax is lower than in Texas, I plan to come back to this TJ Maxx on my next trip. read more

I love TjMaxx conveniently located on the 3rd floor of South Shore Market Ward. I drive all the way up to the 3rd floor and just walk across! Easy access especially if i purchase a lot of items! As soon as i enter the store, i walk around the handbag section to see if anything catches my eye! Then onward to luggage, cosmetics & kitchen! Don't forget the section after shoes because there is the Clearance Section in the back to the right! Moving along to the back but center of the store, you'll find furniture and seasonal items galore! Tons of Christmas decorations. Ornaments, even wrapping paper! Then i head to the large Women's clothing area! They also have Mens, Children's, Toys & Pets! I can spend a long time shopping here because it's such a bright & clean store with alot of friendly staff to assist you! You definitely will be able to find something you like and it probably will be in the Clearance section! What a bargain! read more

Love this location and store! Excellent selection of clothing and home goods at mainland prices! Some of my favorite finds here are Zara clothing, seasonal decor, home goods and children's clothing! I don't really shop a lot but when I do, I'm able to find quality clothing that won't break my pocketbook. The pricing is so good that I always leave with more than I intend to buy. Which brings me to my next point. After bringing home items and realizing that I really don't NEED all the goods, I'll take it back with tags attached and return them. They have an excellent return policy! If you have a receipt your refund will be returned via the method of payment. If you don't have a receipt a store gift card will be issued to you. I've been balenciaga and Gucci in the cases. For the price it's really good too! The cashiers here are so friendly and always trying to get you to sign up for a credit card. I never opened one but they are always so tempting! lol! It's a great location too because they have some places to eat on the first floor and Nordstrom rack right across. I love the Rae Dunn brand and they have a wide variety of items from that brand from clothes, bag, houseware, etc. I like how this location offers name brand items like Longchamp, Valentino, Gucci, etc. I was tempted on my recent visit to pick up another Longchamp Le PLIAGE Large size bag in brown for $99.99. I like this location. Its right next to Nordstrom Rack. Easy to just hit up both! I don't care for the parking structure. Feels small and tight. But, on the other hand, gotta be grateful there is lots of parking available. Spacious elevators. Escalators are available too, but I've caught them not working numerous times. The selection is good. The store is clean and spacious. Staff is OK. We can never get enough of the random finds. Clothing for the whole family, home goods, travel items, electronic accessories and much more. Sometimes I find exactly what I was looking for. Sometimes I find things that I never knew I wanted/needed. Overall, I'd say check it out if you have time to spare. Shopping during Covid? Ain't fun at all. You gotta wait for those other girls who are trying to see themselves on that purse from the rack. Fitting room are close. I know it sucks. You gotta come back to return the item after you fitted them at home. New normal ayt. But the fact that all staffs are properly wearing their mask, & are doing their best to follow protocols is appreciated to the nth level. Hand sanitizer everywhere & social distancing is somehow imposed. Kudos to all for doing their part, making sure consumers are confident enough to shop the store inside. T.J. Maxx offers something. They may not have that wider selection on items but they are pretty decent & prices are by far considerate. Been in here a couple of times already & it always amuses me. I always got goodies in here mostly from Italy. Purchased stroopwafel & nougat in here which I can't find in any store. And that's a jackpot for me already. I love the customer service too! I got superb treatment from them. Pretty well trained. I won't get tired coming in here. They also got sales every now & then. And besides, ward area ain't that crowded to roam around. I was looking for a strappy t-shirt and this wasn't the place for it. They have clothing, shoes, household goods, purses and so on, but I was spent after walking around for a full day. I probably wouldn't come back but that's because it isn't my type of store. But, it was fine for what it was, things weren't on the floor, I found what I was looking for rather quickly, so that's why the high rating. 6-5-2020 Found out as I was paying that they opened yesterday. SO glad I rushed hubs cuz I had to... you know. But NR was closed so he said what about T.J. Maxx, people are going in. It was a little after 10:10 a.m. He is good at spotting restroom signs. He points out, in that corner. Of course their dressing rooms and restrooms were both blocked and closed. I'm a big girl, I can hold it... Only wanted to find panties and footwear for my sweetie. The two masked employees that I asked, one for the girls' department and the other for girls' shoes were very kind and helpful. Both had sanitizers in their hand to wipe down areas of the store. With two items in hand I proceeded to the check out line. They call out the next available cashier number. That was fast. Leaving the store a long line had formed in the blocked off parking stalls well manned by 3 security guys monitoring the customers. Stand on a yellow dot. When so many customers exit, the next set can enter. Good job! I got what I came for, the prices were very reasonable plus I picked up a few traffic items while waiting to check out. T.J. Maxx I shall return. Highly impressed with the employees and store entrance monitoring. Inside the store it was more like weaving in and out of aisles to avoid close contact but very manageable. 06/04/20 TJ opened today. We went down around 9:40 am the line was long... at 10, they started letting folks in at 10. We were in the 2nd group, so at about 10:30am, they let us in. During our wait, a lady came by and gave us water. They were so happy to have customers back. Store was stocked, employees were so helpful. It was fun to shop today. Some good deals. I often shop at T.J. Maxx on the mainland, but this store is smaller, and nicer than the ones near my home. Merchandise: Pleasantly surprised to find an area marked "The Runway" that had more upscale, name-brand clothes. I was looking for some household things, mostly. I found several things on my shopping list and some seasonal items,too. The home goods area was smaller than some stores-(no lamp shades or drying racks, for example) but plenty of bed and bath supplies. Very small food area. Service-Laura, the cashier, was friendly and helpful. T.J. Maxx has figured out how to get people through the check-out lines quickly even when busy. Facility-The store is on the third floor of a large building, with an open, light, clean interior. Doors open into a Parking garage so it's nice during inclement weather (like the rain when I was shopping ). Drive slowly up a tight ramp or park on another floor and take the elevator. There is also a Nordstrom Rack on the second floor. read more

TJ Maxx feels like an upscale Ross selling its usual discounted, discontinued, discarded, and sometimes distorted items of spin-off and name brands. When TJ Maxx first opened, the clothes were terrible. 75% of men's clothes were CHAPS, and many items weren't good quality. However, the past several years, TJ Maxx is selling more and more name brand clothing and other semi-luxury brands. I even seen several Reyn Spooner shirts on sale for $29.99! But I never find any clothes there. Their inventory on clothes is a lot less than Ross. What I like the most about TJ Maxx is their huge selections of kitchen items. You can literally find everything you need and at a great deal. I recently purchased beautiful, sturdy, large size wine glasses for my reds at just one dollar each. TJ Maxx being located in Ward is very convenient, and having multiple levels of covered, spacious, and clean parking is even better. The entrance of this store is on the third level of the parking garage, but you can access the store street level. You just need to walk up a long flight of steep stairs. The inside is spacious and clean and bright. Everything is pretty organized and well placed. What really sets TJ Maxx way ahead of Ross is the constant availability of cashiers! There's over ten registers and at least 50% of them are open! And they'll open more up when it's busy. Also, they have friendly and excellent customer service! read more
