Who doesn't like a deal... I've walked passed this Nordstrom Rack in Waikiki's Hyatt Centric location too many times to count as parking in Waikiki leaves me in a terrible time constraint I pass only to think I would't find much though on this day I decided to give them a look. Going up the escalator is like a ride to a mystery location I was surprised to see a well organized layout though smaller than the Ward location the selection and quality of items here are there. I was looking for a specific items and knew that I probably would't find it here am aware that they have much more than just clothes did see some other home items and decor along with accessories was please to see several items that piqued my interest. Still keeping things in mind I did find a home item I've been looking for and happily found it here for a good price and being part of Nordstrom reward program was told it was double points day that I do qualify for gladly took the offer as I'm not sure when I'll be finding treasures again. It's nice to find items and here though a bit smaller in size with the right intensions and ideas you're sure to find something with a bit of luck. Thank you! read more

I am very familiar with the "Nordstrom Rack" chain of department stores. I visited this store--located in the heart of Waikiki, just see how it might be the same (or different) from the Nordstrom Rack stores in my hometown. The store location has good store front visibility on Kuhio. The entry leads to an escalator to the second story retail space. This Nordstrom Rack is pretty much the same as those found in my hometown. The total square footage of this store is a bit smaller than what I typically see in a suburban situation--but this is in Waikiki. The amount of floor space dedicated to sunglasses and luggage is double what I typically see in a suburban store (probably catering to the tourists looking for such items). Also, this store has a "bulked up" selection of beach wear. For example, if you're looking for Reyn Spooner of Tommy Bahama, some good prices are to be found. My husband enjoys shopping for clothes and shoes more than I do. Really? Yes, that's true. When we feel like playing tourists, he'll bring up every single excuse to shop at this location, after paying for merchandise, highlights great deals found specifically on shorts, shirts and shoes. While walking in the vicinity, he asked me, "Shall we go to Nordstrom Rack now or later?" I said, "Let's go now. We're less than five minutes away." Tables were turned this time. His shopping purpose was for leisure. He found two pairs of shoes that he was tempted to buy, yet changed his mind. This time my shopping became a need to replenish loose brassiere and replace a work top. Quite surprised to find five wireless and comfy brassiere each marked down 50% off and one work top 68% off regular price. For six items plus tax and handle bag, total paid was almost $95. Male sales associate at the register was very helpful and asked if I would like to purchase a bag for 15 cents. Kindly inquired if this location honors military discount. This location doesn't offer military discount. We both laughed since I walked out with something and my hubby didn't. Shop for great deals! Never know what you'll score. read more

What a big difference Waikiki is without any tourists besides the ones who are breaking the quarantine rules. It's a ghost town! Nordstrom Rack located in the heart of Waikiki, next to the International Marketplace, was the same! Parking is free and easy. You just need to go eat somewhere or purchase something at specific stores. For this Nordstrom Rack, two hour free parking is available at the Hyatt Centric (after purchase, of course) that you can get to coming up on Seaside Ave from Kalākaua Ave or of from Kuhio, you need to make the turn onto Royal Hawaiian Ave (towards Duty after) and make a left turn onto one of the narrow streets to get to Seaside. As I mentioned, Nordstrom Rack was almost empty, which was great! Very easy to socially distance. Hand sanitizers and wipes were available with greeters when you arrive at the top of the escalator. The store was really packed with clothes, shoes, and accessories all neat and organized. There were many great deals on clothes. I found a few nice Reyn Spooner buttoned shirts with the Reyn Spooner fabrics for only $33! This Nordstrom Rack doesn't feel as big as the Ward one, but it definitely felt like there were way more things with more variety and more sizes. Overall, this Nordstrom Rack is definitely an excellent place to shop for clothes and save money. It's a great time to stop by here as it is A LOT less busy without tourism. Very easy to socially distance and safety measures are followed. Just wear your face mask and sanitize your hands when you enter and exit. read more

One of the best kept secrets in shopping for high end clothing lies at Nordstrom Rack. This Nordstrom sells the lesser known labels to the more well known tags such as Betsey Johnson, and Tori Richards. I go to the clearance rack to see what I can find. The discounts do help my purse. However, with designer labels such as Tommy Bahama, Rebecca Minskoff, Eileen Fisher and Kate Spade the discounts rarely help. As it turns out, these designers rank as some of my favorites. I really don't want to spend my whole paycheck on just a dress, a handbag or a pair of shoes. Talk about shoes, Nordstrom offers a wide array of shoes. Customers can find athletic footwear, fancy shoes, flats, and boots. The designer shoes occupy their own space in front of the shoe division. After that, consumers can find all sorts of footwear from Michael Kors to Anne Klein to Nike to Fila to Laundry. Nordstrom sells high end skin care and cosmetics. Located near the cash registers, this gives the shopper a chance to look around further before heading out of the store. Where is the Nordstrom Rack in Waikiki located? For you locals, if you know where the old Waikiki Trade Center was (the building is still there), but the building is now it's called the Hyatt Centric Waikiki. Enter the parking structure from Seaside Ave. and go up that long ramp into the parking structure. As soon as you get up the ramp, there is a marked section for Nordstrom customers. After parking your car, look for the elevator in the parking structure, and just head on down to level #2 which will take you directly into the Nordstrom Rack store. As you shop at Nordstrom Rack, they will validate your parking ticket for 2 hours (not sure if you have to make a purchase to get the validation, but each time I go there, I always seem to find something I like). Getting free parking a good thing, as Waikiki parking can get quite expensive! Today, I just so happen to in in Waikiki, so I popped into the Nordstrom Rack and found myself some really cool Vans kicks! Check out my pics! I needed good quality sheets for my daughters new bed.. and of course needed to skim the holiday goodies, so I swung by Nordstrom Rack at my lunch hour. I have to admit, I've spent some $ at this place more than once during lunch. It's dangerous for my bank account having it so close to my work. Today I ended up with a super cute girls bedding and soft sheets to match. I also picked up some good quality wrapping paper-has anyone else noticed how cheaply wrapping paper is made now days? I do an inside squeal when I see high quality wrapping paper-particularly for only $6 for 3 rolls! I had to stock up. I also got some cute mini stockings and some socks for my son. Def my go to places for higher quality deals... I find the quality here is way better than Ross, but also a bit higher in price... but you get what you pay for! You def can get some deals here for nicer qualities. I also recommend the kids clothes and toys section.. lots of wooden toys for cheap. Check out my haul today in my pics.. Walking on Kuhio, I stumbled upon the Nordstrom Rack which I forgot was opened shortly after the Hyatt Centric opened in 2016. With my wife beckoning me forward to the escalator I was amazed at the large selection of Hawaiian shirts for men on sale by Reyn Spooner and the 55% price reduction that I snagged. Depending on inventory, the time (season) of the year and what you are looking for - NR is always a great place to save money. The salesperson asked if I wanted to donate to their local elementary school towards a pair of Nike shoes and I had her add $5 to my bill but she said if I sign up for the NR App on my phone, I would get $5 back so it was a win win as I ended up with a bill for just the cost of the shirt and some little keiki got closer to getting a brand new pair of Nike kicks! read more

Oooh the overspending is real when you're on vacation! We needed another suitcase so naturally we stopped by Nordstrom Rack to quickly grab one before heading to dinner. Well that we did. The guy at the register was kind enough and the check out was quick. We put two of our shopping bags in the suitcase because... why carry them when we could stroll down Kūhiō on our way back to the hotel? Ummm but the suitcase gods had another plan in store for us. We took the elevator and walked down the hallway when, for the first time, realized there was an issue with the trolley! It kept falling down on us any time it hit a bump. Not good at all. So, 3 minutes or so after our purchase, we went right back up the escalator and back into the store. Mind you, we never left entrance as we walked out of the elevator and right back up the escalator. So, we walk back to get another one to replace this defective thing. We were skeptically greeted by Deanne. We explained the situation and she focused on the fact that we "left the store." Um yes. And returned right away before actually leaving the building itself. She wanted to drive in the fact that it's been used as I already took it outside and they would be unable to resell it. Umm yes, Deanne. We were happy owners of this suitcase for 2 minutes. I kept telling her that we literally made the purchase 10 minutes ago and it was fairly. Nonetheless, her reaction seemed like we traveled the world and are now asking to exchange it. Also, is it company policy to sell a product with a reported defect? Why would that be her concern when I told her it was defective? But I digress.. She said she needed to test it so I handed it over. I gave her the heads up that we had stuff in the suitcase to which she looked confused and said I would have no remove it if I wanted to exchange it. Noooo, really? For some reason she mentioned this a few times. What person wouldn't know this little tidbit? It started feeling like she was condescending. Deanne dutifully checked the baggage and strolled it back and forth. Lo and behold, she too encountered the same problem!! Now, she asked if I wanted to wrap it up so I wouldn't get it "dirty" in case I needed to return it as I was exchanging it "for the same suitcase." The point of this purchase is to be able to fill it and stroll it. If I can't do that, why would I want it? Apparently I had more faith in their products that Deanne. I figured I got a defective one and she made it seem like they sell crappy products. In any case, I left the store feeling irritated due to her condescension and lack of true customer service skills. On a positive note, we strolled that baby all around Waikiki and it held up. Yay! read more

Absolutely terrible supervisor and clerk!! They are liars and mean!! I purchased an item at the store and attempted to return only two days later. They said they don't accept returns for beauty supplies and said there were signs and berated me. Their policy was very different than what I had experienced before and just left. After I called corporate to question on their return policy and they looked at my account and item and said it qualified for a return. If you want to be yelled at and belittled for no reason- go to this store. Worst experience ever and I will never shop here again. read more

Good fit. After browsing the racks a bit more, I headed toward the front of the store, box in hand, ready to pay. Just then, I see the big guy from before -- he walks in front of me, looking right at me with an intimidating "Just try it" look on his face. I know when I'm being profiled. It's such a disgusting feeling. For drivers, you need to come down Kalakaua Ave an turn left on Seaside Ave. Entrance is after Ross Stores before Kuhio Ave. This location has 1 only floor. People can take the escalator in store or elevator in hallway before store. There is a large selection of Tumi brand merchandise such as backpack, messenger bag, luggage accessories, and luggage. I love the Tumi messenger bag that I bought because it is lightweight and made in America. I will come again to buy my sister a pink Tumi crossbody bag. If I am lucky I could find Lucky Brand mens shirt and earrings at a reasonable price. Its too bad Tommy Bahama doesn't make aloha print polo knit shirt. Had about an hour to kill in Waikiki on a random Wednesday afternoon, so made the quick walk over to Nordstrom Rack. Located at the Hyatt Centric hotel, they offer plenty of parking in the structure shared with the hotel. Validation is given with transaction at the store. Being in a tourist centered place, the selection overall is smaller than the Ward/Kakaako location, especially in the homegoods, pet, clothing and shoe departments. However,I still always manage to find some great deals. It seems like they slimmed down on the number of staff during covid, one thing that sticks out is fitting rooms don't seem to have a dedicated associate to count items prior to fitting. On this visit, all fitting room doors were open with a rack near the entrance for items that didn't make the cut to be put back. Right outside the fitting rooms there are also a few seats with a side table with charging ports for those who have partners or family members that want to have a seat while waiting. The checkout process is smooth and easy too, I've never had to wait for than 2-3 minutes to be rung up. Make sure to bring a reusable bag! read more

If you're a Nordie's fan, you'll love this Rack location in Waikiki off of Kuhio Ave. A nice change from the Ward location. Since it just opened up in Sept '16, the store is very well organized, clean, and quiet. Yes, quiet! According to the cashier, hardly anyone knows they exist especially because they're off of Kuhio and not Kalakaua - the main thoroughfare of Waikiki. I stumbled upon this Nordstrom Rack while en route to International Marketplace. From the street level, signage is clear, but it could be possible that most people will think it's closed since the adjacent shops and hotel are still under construction. Well, the secret is out my friends and there is plenty of good shopping to be had at this store. From the street level, take the escalator up to the second floor. Women's clothing, sunglasses, and costume jewelry are pretty much front and center, while Men's, cosmetics, and household items are to your right. There was no waiting to pay at the main registers, so there was no need to open up the express registers for 5 items or less. There are so many designer items tagged at much lower prices! I found great deals on clothing by Top Shop and Max Mara, sunglasses by Gucci and Prada, toiletries by Kerastase and Neutrogena, and cosmetics by Urban Decay. Love the fresh, clean dressing rooms! No stinky rug! And the hooks have signs that confirm how you really feel about the dress you just tried on, like "Absolutely!" Yep, I absolutely purchased an item because I found it on clearance for $20 from an original price over $100. Score!! You just have to be patient with going through all of the racks and hangers. It started pouring rain yesterday afternoon/ so instead of going to the beach, we popped onto Nordstrom Rack. My friend and I found several treasures. She had never tried the Sanuk flip flops. They are made from yoga mats- they are the most comfortable shoes. I'm on my 3rd pair. She bought every style in her size. I found some fun cargo pants in my size- 2 colors. So I had to own both of them. I attached a photo of my pants- they can be worn 2 ways. The store was clean, well lit, and laid out well. All the employees were very helpful and friendly. The woman working the dressing room came out on the floor to help us look for more pants. The cashiers were very friendly and efficient. Not the most convenient Nordstrom rack to go to since it's in Waikiki. The layout is much smaller than the other town location. I was able to find the slippers I wanted to exchange in the men's section, which was in the back of the store. I was not in the mood to look around further in the store. I found the staff friendly and helpful, as I approached them asking to do the exchange. The person walked me to the cashier area and helped me out. I was in and out of the store within 10 minutes. If I am in Waikiki already, I'd stop and shop here. Or in my case trying to find a different size to exchange. read more

I've been to this location a few times, both before and during COVID and it seems pretty well run. I feel like the selection in Waikiki is pretty similar to the one at Ward Village. I stopped by today, since I needed to go to International Marketplace and ended up picking up a few things for myself and a late Christmas gift for my nephew! Since it was a weekday and tourism is really down right now, it seemed like there were more employees than customers! Employees were friendly and they were all keeping themselves busy, which is nice to see. What a hidden gem for locals! The best park is that there are 2 hours of free validated parking at the Hyatt Centric. This location is less busy and I enjoy shopping when it's not so crowded. I love shopping the clearance racks at Nordstrom rack because I always find great deals! Be sure to shop during clear the racks because you get an extra 25% off clearance items! What a deal!! This rack is brand new. It's located right next to international marketplace and has an elevator that connects to the Waikiki trade center parking lot. The Waikiki location of Nordstrom Rack is probably off the beaten path of most Oahu locals, but it's a hidden gem and worth the trip. There's free, validated parking (but watch the time limits) on the 2nd floor of the adjoined parking garage. Adjoined parking is not a huge deal for the most part, but when you're shopping during record-breaking rainfall/flood conditions, it's a huge plus. (For the record, there are almost NO covered walkways in Waikiki. If it is raining hard, you will get VERY wet.) In my limited fashion/retail estimation, I feel that the merchandise at this location is more oriented to the Waikiki visitor demographic--not a bad thing if you're looking for something different, as they carry a wide variety of travel goods, umbrellas, and shoes that I would expect would appeal to visitors. It's a good thing when you're shopping for Mainland friends! I did find the layout of the women's shoe department confusing, as there were two sections, and I coudn't tell why they were separated. While it's fun to dream in all the high end designer stores along Kalakaua and in the various hotel lobby's, but when I "shop" I want to "buy" and I can always find a great handbag, article of clothing or jewelry at a bargain price here. The store is clean and well organized, which usually is not the case at discount stores. It's a welcomed relief from sorting through the madness at Ross, which I still do.p though! Last trip I found a great Michael Kors crossbody handbag with compartments for both sunglasses and readers and a fun tassel. Perfect size for walking about Waikiki. This time I found an aqua suede Rebecca Minkoff handbag on the clearance table for $105. Matches a suede belt I already own. Next door at Sak's was the smaller version for $295. Bargain hunt successful! I walk there because it's right on Kuhio, west of the new International Market, close enough to my condo, but they do validate parking in the adjacent garage. I believe you get the first hour free. That's a rarity in Waikiki so take advantage. Service people have always been helpful and friendly, quick at ringing up customers so you can be on your way. As with all Nordstrom Racks, TJMaxx, Ross and Marshall's (none on the island yet) go often as inventory moves. If you see something you love, don't hesitate to buy it because it will be gone. read more
