Yelp Ghost, you're killing me!! Since my previous review disappeared, I'll write this new review based on three of my most recent visits. I was looking for a new walking and running shoe so I immediately went to Food Locker at Ala Moana Center. They are located on the top floor across Hoka. Since my sister swears by Hoka and I recently bought my dad a pair of Hoka's, I looked at that section first. My cousin recommended a brand called ON so I also checked that section out after. Now I could compare them myself. I picked a pair from each brand and a SA named Joshua helped me. He was friendly and very knowledgeable about both brands. Joshua offered exceptional customer service. He didn't take long to bring out my size to give them a try. I personally didn't care for how the Hoka's made me feel. It felt like a rocking motion but maybe I need to acclimate to them? The ON pair was extremely light and very comfortable. It was a hard decision so I told Joshua I would think about it and come back. I ended up coming back to pick up the ON shoes another day. He was working so he was able to assist me with bringing the pair out for me to purchase. They offer you to join their FLX rewards program and to do a survey of your visit. With Joshua's excellent customer service, I made sure to do it. To my surprise, I received a $10 gift certificate to use on my next purchase after completing the survey. It came in handy as I wanted to get my father-in-law a pair before we flew out to visit my in-laws. Of course my dad wants a pair too lol. Shoe shopping... This gal isn't really a shoe shopper but my feet is always in desperate need for a comfortable pair and I've been relying on Foot Locker for that though at one point they had great selection for women as I've always came here versus the Women's Foot Locker which sadly has closed now find that the selection here for my personal preference is meh! The staff here is great as they greet you but I'm a browser and do need time to look so I don't mind that solidarity and to think through the prices as well though sometimes have the need to ask for their knowledge and suggestion which is something we all should do especially mine is mostly for work. Their insoles are a great item to keep in mind...get them and keep the receipt with the box because once they wear out it's use you can have them replaced for free as most time the insoles wear out before the shoe so you don't have to purchase another if it's in good condition and offers like this is wonderful new to keep my feet happy. Drove to this location because this was the only store with the size we needed in stock. We walked in and quickly fort our shoes on the way. Walked a few minutes as no workers could be found on the floor besides the cashier. Then Derek came and was how we were doing and if we needed help. Told him we wanted to try on two shoes and he went and grabbed it. He opened both boxes took out the papers and unlaced both shoes for us to quickly try on. Stopped by here with my mom today and Derek was such a huge help! It was pretty busy and the staff was stretched thin but he was so friendly, quick and helpful, running around and helping whoever needed it. He also offered other options for my mom who was looking for shoes for pickleball. My son loves his shoes. I always find myself here. This time I actually came for myself. I wanted to get the limited edition SZA Crocs. Yes, you heard that correctly. Foot Locker sells Crocs, not just the regular ones, but the hard to find ones that they don't even sell in the Crocs store. Go figure! I've always had good service from this store. The employees are always helpful. They seem to be limited in their sizes. I wear a size eight and that was the last pair that they had in the SZA Crocs. For some reason they're always out of sizes. Maybe Foot Locker is just that popular that people just come in and scoop up all the shoes. read more

We're on the hunt to find my daughter some shoes. Her shoes are so terrible looking because she wears them to school and basketball practice. But she's a sport and doesn't complain about them falling apart. She just continues to wear them. We went to another mall yesterday and they had very little options for shoes. So we checked out Foot Locker today. They didn't have very many options today either. I was talking to someone so I sent my husband and daughter up and told them I would catch up to them. When I finally got up there she was trying on white Nike shoes. My husband said oh these are great shoes. I said umm they're white, they are gonna get dirty for sure. I said oh how about this one, which was a pink one (daughter's favorite color). He looks at the price and says it's $75! I said whoa no way. Then I ask him how much are the white ones, he says $110. Oh geez. Luckily they didn't have my daughter's size in the pink shoe so we left. I think the prices here are so ridiculous. I mean $110 for kids shoes. That's the same price for adult shoes. Or even $75, it's just too much for shoes that a kid is gonna outgrow in a few months. read more

This store doesn't have the biggest selection, but they do have a lot of brand selection. Twice I've come and what I wanted was not in stock (at this location); however, the customer service was excellent. The sales associates always offer to call the Pearl Ridge location or Waikiki (whichever store happens to have what I want) and put it on hold for me. You can even purchase at the store then go pick up. Once I even had to exchange a pair of Brooks due to a tear in the ankle only a week after I'd purchased it and they didn't give me any grievance or anything! They were able to look up my receipt and took care of everything. I think it was Nick who helped me. Great job! Would be back just for that kind of service! read more

What's a cartoonist's favorite brand of shoes? Sketchers! In all seriousness, though. Don't wear Sketchers. Not when you can hit up the Ala Moana Foot Locker and pick up a really nice pair of kicks! This Foot Locker has all of your top brands that you'd be looking for. Adidas, Nike, Jordan, Vans, etc. They also have a House of Hoops in the back of the store to make sure you're looking fresh with some cool hoop-themed apparel. They'll keep you stocked with the latest Air Jordan retro releases, performance basketball shoes, and casual runners for your everyday needs. When I stopped by, the store seemed to be pretty well-stocked, the workers were helpful, and they had most of the latest sneaker releases. Very disappointed customer right now. Stood in line this morning waiting to cop a new drop that is posted on their app "2/16 AIR JORDAN RETRO HIGH NRG - GOLD TOE" Around 8a, an employee (Probably the opening Manager) cause he had the key to open the Store stated to about 5 of us, they don't have the shoe yet. In my head I was like "What Are You Serious?!?!?!?!?" He stated UPS doesn't send them the shoes in time for the drop. In my opinion, I feel that's a lie. I work for a retail store that offers online shopping and sales in the store and we get all our product in time. They either copped all of them for themselves or sold them all to their friends. Summary: This Footlocker HOH has a very similar set up to the one in Long Beach, CA. Regular shop in the front and the HOH portion towards the rear. Service seems good but product selection is lacking. Selection: doesnt seem like they get that many releases. they get all the standard/general releases. but the more limited ones, I guess, dont make their way to Hawaii. Mike helped me out and was absolutely amazing! Big mahalo to Mike and the Foot locker staff! Mike knew all the answers to my questions, he grabbed shoes for me and must've gone to the back 5-6 times because I couldn't find a good fit. On the last attempt we found the perfect fit for my ultraboosts! They were so perfect we ended up purchasing 4 pairs of shoes from Mike! I use to work at LFL once upon a time and walking into this Footlocker was a huge disappointment! I went in wanting to purchase shoes for both my daughters. What looked like 10 staff working not a single person greeted us! Then when I found the kids shoes a big box was blocking the way and as at least 3-4 employees walked by not a single one offered for assistance OR offered to move the box of our way. As I continued to check out the shoes another 2-3 employees walked by and I could hear them conversing with each other but yet still no offer for assistance or asked if I needed anything. Being an old employee of LFL such a disappoint to have had such a lack of service and at such a big location. Ps the store was NOT busy! Guess I'll shop else where! read more

Thought I'd check out some walking/running shoes today so I stopped in at Footlocker, Ala Moana....it was my lucky day! After checking out some of the shoes on the wall, a young man offered his assistance. He was so personable, knowledgeable and professional, it was really a joy to shop there. His name is Jeff.....so I started looking at a nice pair of shoes in the $59 range...they didn't have my size so he brought me some Nike Pegasus....$89 or so....well it turns out those (along with the iPod sensor) would work with my new iPhone.....so guess what!! about $100 later (he also got me signed up on the Footlocker program which gave me a $10 coupon) I had new shoes that worked with my iPhone.... My girlfriend and I had a lot of fun trying to figure out how it all worked...and we got to measure our walking workout! Now I'm motivated to use my new Nike shoes daily...which means, I will work out (at least walk for a bit) daily! See what a lucky day I had!!! Since the demise of Niketown Honolulu, there hasn't been that many places where you can scoop up a fresh pair of kicks. Sure, there's always Kicks/HI, but that's for the more trendy, high end stuff. What if I just need a pair of running shoes? Well, that's where Foot Locker Ala Moana comes into play. Oddly enough, I actually check this place with the same frequency as I would Kicks/HI. Thankfully, both shops are within a 10 minute walk of each other (along with FITTED on Kona St. sitting in between the two), which makes it one easy trip to hit up all the spots. Now, from what I remember, this Foot Locker is one of the higher ranking Foot Locker's in the company, seeing as how their shoe selection is only behind Foot Locker's own boutique, House of Hoops. So that means, there's never a lack of quality sneakers in this place. The staff is most excellent and willing to talk sneakers for a minute with you. Unlike other Foot Lockers on the island, they don't seem as pushy or "sales person-y," which is always a good thing. Other than that, they pretty much go out of their way to try and help you out with something. Hopefully other shops at Ala Moana can follow this example. As a former Nike employee, I can definitely say that these guys are actually up on their game, and will keep up with even the most ardent sneaker aficionado. Worth a stop in to see what's new, but if you rock something on the smaller side (Men's size 10 or below), be ready to battle it out with the VERY large tourist population that frequents the store. Can't minus points on that, but it does get frustrating when the new releases get scooped up in a matter of hours. Speaking of releases, I honestly wouldn't go anywhere else if you were into Jordans. I believe they get most of the releases (again, because there's no more Niketown), so be prepared for a busy store if you're coming in on a Saturday morning/afternoon. I suggest going in the late evening on a weekday (Monday-Friday) for best results and for a more complete sales experience. read more

Another stop on our shopping trip at Ala Moana was to Foot Locker. Located on the 3rd floor near Sears is a fairly decently sized store selling a little bit of everything: mens shoes, womens shoes, keiki shoes, jerseys, tank tops, t shirts, hats, socks, etc. We were greeted upon entering (always nice when that happens!) and as the BF perused we were asked if we needed any help. We stated we were just looking and the salesman said to let him know if we needed any help. I like that he was nice enough to offer assistance but stayed at a distance to not 'hover'... My BF ended up finding a pair of Nike's that he liked... and I always like to inquire about when the style came out. Turns out it was fairly new and was just released to the store a week ago... so he tried on 2 sizes and the salesman (same guy who greeted us) was efficient, patient, and super friendly. He brought the shoes to the cashier and we were cashed out thereafter. The cashier (female) was super friendly as well. All in all, great visit to Foot Locker... very friendly staff! read more

I'm strangely surprised at the great reviews here! And I'm happy to say that I'm no exception. Came to buy some new running/exercise shoes and we were helped by one of the guys. He was pretty knowledgeable and courteous giving suggestions after looking at our walk. We noted about flat feet issues so he suggested some insoles, but the moment we weren't happy with them, he didn't press us any further on the matter. Plus, he sold us a pair that was on sale! Probably one of the best Footlockers on the island. One of my homeboys work here and the rest of the staff are super cool. Customer service is always on top. They always have the latest styles going on from the footwear to the clothing. They recently opened up the house of hoops section which is super dope. They also always have sales going on. No matter what show you are looking for they will most likely have it. I bought one of their shoe cleaners and it lasts for a very long time. It is well worth it. It is in the Ala Moana Center on the 4th floor from ground level. Other than that just being in the store is great because of the music videos and stuff that they have on up the TVs. We've tried going to other Footlocker's in the other malls and so far we always end up back at Alamoana's Footlocker. Either the other locations don't have a specific shoe my boyfriend wants or they don't have his size or simply noone helped us. But at the Alamoana's Footlocker it seems like they always have his size and someone is always around to provide assistance even on their most busiest days. They are always smiling and very welcoming. We especially look for employee Eric. He's able to answer all the questions my boyfriend has on a specific shoe. He is able to tell him what shoe best works for specific reasons such as basketball. And when my boyfriend went for his suggestion he really likes the shoes and actually went back to get another one in a different color. He was able to share his personal experience on the shoe that made the decision much easier. The facility is kept clean and the clothes on the racks are well organized. They have very comfortable chairs as we wait to try on the shoes. The music isn't too loud, it's just right for us to enjoy as we look around. Overall good experience! read more

Associates are only nice to you when youre going to buy shoes other than that they will ignore you if you're not buying. I was going to buy the shoes but the associates that were helping me started to talk about who's getting commission if i buy the shoes (seriously!) They only help just so they get commission, poor thing. I just played it that i didnt want the shoe style because i was really disgusted by their actions. There was a lot of selection and variety in this store. But I'm not too fond of the sales associates. My sister and I needed new sneakers for running and we decided to come to the mall specifically to foot locker. Been there half an hour browsing and deciding which ones we liked and still no one greeted us, no one offered any help and so we were just trying on what was on display. When you see this wouldn't you think to help us out? Maybe get a size for us? Nope, didn't happen. Finally about 10 more minutes we decided "Never mind let's not get something from here. No ones even helping us." Right when my sister said that, someone came up and said "Hi, you guys doing ok?" I told her "We're just looking" and then we walked out.
