Stüssy Honolulu is extremely popular, so plan ahead if you're hoping to shop the newest releases. I visited four times during my trip and picked up a few useful tips. Pro tips: 1. Arrive very early. The line starts well before sunrise. On Tuesday, the first person arrived at 4:50 AM; I got there at 6:00 AM and was already in the third section of the line. Another day I arrived at 3:45 AM thinking I would be first, but someone had been there since 3:30 AM. Small sizes are especially difficult to get. If you line up before 8:00 AM, you'll generally have a better chance at Medium through XXL. 2. They may open before the posted time. Although the store lists a 10:00 AM opening, it has opened around 9:15 AM. 3. Use the next-day exchange option. If your preferred size is unavailable, buy an available size and return around 9:00 AM the following day to exchange it. Keep in mind that exchanges are only for swapping sizes. You cannot purchase additional items during that visit. And since Small sells out quickly, it may still be difficult to exchange into one. Overall, the staff is friendly and professional, especially considering they manage huge crowds all day and answer the same questions repeatedly. Great store, but treat it like an early-morning event rather than a casual shopping stop. Value - get ready to pay for an arm & leg: - T-shirts: $45 - Hoodies: $130 - Zipper Hoodies: $140 - Jackets: $200+ read more

We actually waited three hours for the shopping experience. The lines started 5am on a Saturday. They also announced the sizes they had available. It was large only. The guy who was helping us with the lines, he was super professional and was very helpful. Once we made it inside we were helped right away. Shopping experience was definitely worth the wait. They were very helpful. My son was very happy. It is bit pricy so we stayed within our budget. The selection is limited but they keep you well aware. read more

Ok we were there since 5am! I'm still not sure what the hype was all about. However in my head, I decided to get more than just a T-shirt because I seriously don't see myself doing this 5am thing again. Like ever! The service was weird! We were assigned a person then he straight up disappeared. It was confusing. Anyway, bought shirts for the whole fam in black and white and more. Seriously I still don't know if it was all worth it. read more

I came 9:30a just before opening and waited about an hour in line to get into the store. Once inside I was able to get the chapter tee from the employees. They have some items on display and if you ask they'll give you a fresh item from the back. read more

Trendy right now, there was a line every day we went. We were chasing the Stussy Honolulu shirts and the the first day we arrived in the afternoon and they were sold out. We were told to come back in the morning and the line was longer the next day but we were able to get our shirts. Service was friendly and quick bother times. read more

Waited in line for our teenage princess who is obsessed with Stussy. The things we do for our kids. We got there pretty late, around 7pm. The line was long, but it wasn't that bad (approximately 20 minutes). Once we got in line, we were handed these tickets for entry. The store is cool and the staff is friendly, however the prices were outrageous. My kids bought a total of 4 items (2 shirts, a purse and shorts and the total came out to $300!!!) What in the world?? My daughter was happy she was able to grab one of the Stussy Honolulu shirts, but it was yellow. Anyway, I guess if you're a Stussy person and want the exclusive Stussy Honolulu shirt, this is the place! From what I hear, people line up at 6am to get the Stussy Honolulu shirt in black or white, so I guess that's why the yellow ones were the only ones left at night. Despite the wait, I appreciated the helpful staff and efficient service. read more

Absolutely one of the worst shopping experiences I've ever had. From the moment I walked into the store, no one greeted me or offered any help. Even when the staff could clearly see that I was looking for something and needed assistance, they completely ignored me. What surprised me the most was that the T-shirts displayed on the tables seemed like they weren't even meant to be touched. I've shopped at many luxury brands before, and none of them made customers feel as unwelcome as this store did. Being a popular brand is not an excuse for poor customer service. It honestly feels like they're using "scarcity marketing" to create an exclusive image while treating customers with indifference. Very disappointing experience. I won't be coming back, and I wouldn't recommend this store to anyone. There are plenty of other brands that value their customers much more. read more

Took one for the team...the fam back home in CA and NV, and stood in line for an hour at STUSSY HONOLULU. It actually wasn't too bad since we started at 10:30am and ended up getting what we wanted - the iconic Stussy Honolulu tee shirt! Many people get there at 5am and wait 5 hours!! We saw the line at 8am on a Friday when it rained and it wrapped around towards the Royal Hawaiian Hotel! That was a hard no! So, the following day, we decided to see what the line looked like at 10:30am. There were staff coordinating the line between an empty store next door to Tory Burch (across from Stussy) and handed out ~20 cards for each group. This helped with the line not blocking all other shoppers trying to get into other stores. When we finally got inside, the friendly staff were there to assist us with the Honolulu tee shirts because they weren't on display. Each person can purchase up to four shirts, so my +1 and I ended up with eight. :-) The store is pretty spacious and showcases jackets, shirts, and accessories for this ever so popular streetwear brand. Did you know that Shawn Stussy is no longer affiliated with Stussy?? He stepped down in 1996 and guess who bought his shares at that time?? Frank Sinatra, Jr.!! Now the Sinatra Family!! read more

The line was horrendous, wrapped to the other side. Selections were better than LA location. They need to have more sizes or inventory as we had to wait in line for about 45 minutes just to get what's left and this was an hour after they opened. If it wasn't for my daughter, I would not put up with it. Even the big brand store don't make me wait. They could also tell us where we can find our sizes at other stores. I don't get the hype. Prices are pretty high too. $45 for T shirts $140 for sweatshirts and $50 for a cap. read more

My daughter and i waited 3 hours to get into the Stussy store. the day before Halloween. Who knew this little brand got so famous! I remember back in the day, I mean way back, it was just a little store front in the OC. lol The wait wasn't so bad, but it could be better if the people also waiting in line were a little more friendly. I mean we were ALL there for the same thing! Why not make conversation and have fun? Kinda tells me that the brand doesn't have friendly people following...at least not here in Waikiki. The store itself was big, nice and clean. The people working there were super friendly, attentive and fun. We scored a tshirt, 2 hoodies and stickers. We walked around the Royal Hawaiian shopping center the next night (Halloween) to people watch. The Stussy store had no line and they had some 'Honolulu' hoodies, no T-shirts. I would have been fine with that had I known, so I didn't have to wait in that long a** line. lol read more

Ok I know this place is pretty controversial with the lines and the wait. I've lined up for this place on more than one occasion too and struck out. I've heard some people line up very early too (6AM!?). It might not be worth it, especially if you're on vacation in Oahu. Not to mention things adding up if you're paying for parking. Now the store itself is pretty nice if/when you get in. If you're a big Stussy fan, they have a good selection of non chapter store items. Not sure how it happened, but me and my wife lined up right out front of the store at around 6PM on a Sunday, got in and had a selection of hoodies/sweatshirts in all sizes. (no t-shirts unfortunately). Grabbed a grey pull over hoodie and a navy zip hoodie in a Large. Staff was super nice even with everyone asking them the same questions about the chapter stuff. Your mileage may vary but it kind of depends how much time you dedicate and how lucky you can get. read more

Arrive early and have some patience. Took an uber here at 4:30 am to secure the goods! Glad I made it early. I did have to save my spot to grab coffee and continued to wait in line until they let us in. I purchased two hooties and a shirt. Worth the wait! read more

That manager guy Zach is kind of a hater and mean. I went there several times over the course of my trip to purchase items for my little nieces and nephews whose parents can't afford a Hawaii trip. Meaning I STOOD IN THAT LONG LINE several times just to be able to get them gifts. Zach apparently told his staff to limit my purchases. Couldn't even come talk to me face to face like a real man. Meanwhile all social apps have photos of people who bought multiples of Honolulu tees and hoodies and shopping apps like eBay and Mercari are full of Stussy Honolulu re-sellers also with multiple Honolulu apparel. Looks like he didn't stop them! read more

Stopped by here to do some shopping. They have a good system to control the crowds. You get a number and get in line. There's someone making sure to keep everyone that there's no cutting or problems with the line. Good crowd control. Once inside, there are many attendants to help you get the products you want. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The displays are organized. There wasn't a lot of the Honolulu merch but had many other products to choose from. I thought everything was fairly priced considering the product you're getting. read more

So the hunt for the exclusive Stussy Honolulu merch can be quite the task. Get to this location at the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center early. Lines form about 2 hours before they open and sometimes it won't be even guaranteed they have the merch you want in your size. The store is bright and well organized. Staff are super helpful and friendly. The clothes are good quality. Comfy and stylish. Catering to a younger crowd. Great shirt designs. Clothes are pricey. 45 dollars for a shirt to start. read more

I came twice on my trip to Honolulu and stayed at Sheraton Waikiki which is really close to the store. The first time I went in the afternoon around 2pm and waited 30 minutes and was able to get a white stussy Honolulu shirt in XS and a yellow stussy Honolulu in size S. I came the next day to get more of their black shirts and came at 9am and was out at 10:45am! I ended up getting 8 shirts that day for my nephew and niece. They had a lot of sizes left, but no hoodies. :( The shirts are $45 each and there is a limit of 4 per person. And they just started allowing Apple Pay which is nice. If you pay with card you have to show your ID which is a bit of a hassle. Anyways although the place was packed all the employees were very sweet and helpful. read more

A popular street wear store even amongst Japanese and Korean travelers. People want specifically the Stussy shirts or sweaters that feature the town on it so in this case Honolulu. Their shirts run out really early in the morning because that's what people want and they limit how many they sell during the day. I was visiting in December during the Honolulu marathon which there are many more travelers and visitors out there. When I first walked by before closing at 10pm there weren't any lines because all of their Honolulu shirts were gone. The workers told me people line up as early as 4am or by 6am. The store doesn't open up until 10am. There's a sign where you line up around the corner that wraps around the Royal Hawaiian mall so you won't be blocking paths. One morning I got there before 9am and I asked the people in front and they lined up at 4am or 6am. I went back around 930am and waited until 11am and never got to the front and gave up. My friends the next day went in a group and lined up a little after 7 and they were able to help get us the sweaters we wanted (limit of 4 items per person). I had another friend go the day of the Honolulu marathon when it was pouring and around 11am there were no lines and shirts available. Others have mentioned they were lucky before but I think it depends on when you're there on vacation. They sometimes drop new stuff on Tuesdays. read more

Came multiple days and got lucky each time - no line. First day we came around 5:30ish in the evening, no wait but they did run out of sizes. I mentioned that I was going to come the next day at 5am to wait with my nephew but the employee helping me told me no need, come around 1pm and I shouldn't have a problem getting any sizes. Sure enough we did and were able to get in and out with everything we wanted. He even let me do back to back transactions because I had more than 4 items. I get it. They have Hawaii-exclusive clothing that attracts a lot of people, especially the tourists, but that line is insane. If you are willing to wait 2 hours or more to get your hands on the goods, which are limited to 3 per person for those 'Honolulu' clothing, then go for it.   Not going to lie, I only did it so I could get some for friends. Thankfully, my hotel was literally a block or not even a block away, so that alone made it much easier for me to wait in line.   The first time I tried was on a Monday, and I left my hotel around 8:20 AM, and the store opens at 10 AM. There were already about 20 people or more waiting. Even after they opened at 10 AM, I had to wait another hour and a half for my turn to get in the store to purchase.   Unfortunately, I had to go back the next day because I did not know the limit per person. I went at 8 AM and got in the store at 10:15 AM, which wasn't too bad, but that 2-hour wait cannot be ignored.   While these shirts, pullovers, and zipups look cool to have, I am not sure if I am going to wait in line for them ever again. I did it for my friends, and it was enough of an experience for me. read more

I stopped by Stüssy Honolulu while walking along Kalākaua Avenue, and it is easily one of the standout streetwear stores in the Waikiki area. The brand has a long history in street culture, and this location reflects that identity with a clean and minimalist retail space focused entirely on the clothing. The store layout is simple and well organized, which makes it easy to browse through the collections. Racks feature a mix of graphic tees, hoodies, hats, and other staple pieces that the brand is known for. The designs maintain the classic Stüssy style that blends surf, skate, and street culture influences. One thing that makes this location interesting is the connection between the brand and Hawaii's surf culture. Stüssy originally emerged from surf roots in California, and seeing the brand represented in a place like Waikiki feels very fitting. The shop tends to attract both visitors and locals who are interested in streetwear and limited releases. The environment inside is relaxed and focused more on the clothing itself rather than flashy retail design. What stood out to me most was how the store maintains the authenticity of the Stüssy brand while fitting naturally into the Waikiki shopping scene. Overall, Stüssy Honolulu is a great stop if you are into streetwear or want to check out one of the well-known global brands located along Kalākaua Avenue. read more

I would def get there NLT 0930 (line was already long) but lucked out and still managed to get what I wanted. Homies were helpful, if you plan on going in and have people "waiting" for you it's a no go. Numbers are given to those only in the line. WHICH I agree on. read more

If you're looking to buy the limited edition t-shirt (the one that says Stussy Honolulu on the back and the Stussy logo on the right chest), you need to ask one of the staff members for it. They intentionally don't display it knowing it's high in demand and sells out. They have this shirt available in black, white, and blue for $45. I came in around noon just to buy this specific t-shirt. No line outside, but was a bit crowded inside the shop. Everyone essentially was holding/buying this limited edition t-shirt. There's several staff members whom are super attentive and ready to assist. If you're paying with credit card, make sure to have your ID that has a matching name to the credit card as they're trying to cut down on fraudulent credit card use. read more

The line is always long here... The reason it is long is because everybody wants the Stussy Honolulu shirt... lol tourist essential if you are visiting the islands. I heard they stock it up every morning and sometimes afternoons...? That's why the line is always crazy. Sales clerks were helpful but I feel like other than those shirts I wouldn't buy anything else... the pieces I want would be online. My first time physically going here. My daughter already has a stussy Honolulu shirt, so I wasn't too keen on going early and waiting in line. Spontaneously we went on a Thursday. Arrived around 1230p. There was still a line. We waited maybe an hr. The guy had previously clarified that all the tees were gone but they had long sleeve stuff crew necks, pullovers, hoodies etc. so we still decided to wait. You'd think every time someone left, they'd let that amount of people in but the didn't. Idk if they were just busy or what but it sounded like it cos the worker kept being apologetic saying sorry it's not usually this busy. He said the earliest people line up now is 5a and I learned that my friend went recently at 540 and 17 people were ahead of him. Good luck! read more

First of all, RIP Stussy Kailua. Used to visit that store to avoid the tourists, but it closed in May 2024, so it's off to Waikīkī for some merch. First of all, if you want to avoid the salt (see the other reviews), it's best to just come early. You're either going to wait before they open or after, and really, if you're not in line by the elevator by the time they open, you might as well come back. I'd say try to get in line by 8 at the latest. However, sometimes there's no line at all. Blame summer. Also, blame folks who are just into the hype so they drag their parents into the line, talking about how much the merch resells for. Merch restocks every day, but you won't know what merch and what size until you're in there. Shirts are about 50 and hoodies will run about 145 after tax. Service is good. Folx are friendly. Know what you want before you visit. I was in and out in five minutes after waiting. Update: went back a few days later, stopped in at 6 PM, and scooped up a tee with only a twenty minute wait. Talk to the staff and check in often. Folx here are great. read more
